This place is horrible! We were searching for childcare and came across this place. Seems decent enough from what we saw on the outside. Decided to check it out. The director comes off very fake. The person assisting upfront made faces at us when she thought we weren't looking. How old are we? And I'm supposed to leave my children with you? We go through a tour and not one teacher looks happy. Two were texting as we went by. We heard one loudly getting on a child. The kitchen we passed by was a disaster area. After a long discussion with my spouse we decided maybe it was just a bad day for them. Benefit of the doubt. Things happen. So we decided to check it out online to see what others were saying. We came across a few websites with unhappy employees. Okay. We can let that go. Who doesn't complain about work? We see some mixed reviews on here. Again, it happens. People like to complain. Then we come across a page for licensing. No one disclosed to us they were on probation for leaving a child on the bus for over an hour. There's no way you can take my child anywhere! That tells me you wouldn't notice if my child was missing! We decided at that point this wasn't the place for us and that was that...until we passed by one of your bus drivers and they were TEXTING AND DRIVING YOUR BUS! Maybe you should make sure you have yourselves together BEFORE you try adding on more children. We wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt but we just can't. By the way, the picture on here is not your center. False advertising.
My children attended Children of America sometime ago. We moved out of town to take care of my sick father and when we returned one of our first stops was To re-enroll my kids at Children of America! I was so excited to see that Rebecca and Lisa, the director and assistant director… were still there! They take the time to get to know the families and children individually. They are very sincere with the love that they have for the kiddos and I see this every morning when I walk in the door my kids run up to them to give them their morning hugs! You guys are great and like a second family, keep up the good work!
I had my two boys in children of America, couldn't be more happy with the care my boys received. These center has a great team caring for our little ones!!!!from the staff to the director..
The facility looked nice and Director seemed genuine. After a couple months or so; I begin watching the Live feed and I noticed the kids were fighting frequently. The workers seems frustrated and they often manhandled the kids. Also Some of the coworkers were not watching the kids. My son somehow fell and busted his head on a shelf and I had to take him to the ER for it. I did not feel safe after the incident so I decided to remove my child. Remind you I understand kids fall and accidents happen, but never had to rush my kid to the ER for a fall. The director did not once give me a phone call apologizing for the accident nor did she reasure to me that safety measures would be taken. My work scheduled was disrupted. I also had to call many times reguarding the way the staff handled children. My child was not happy here. And I wouldn’t recommend until they have more compassionate staff members and better safety plans. I had to not only report them to the state but find another safe, caring facilty for my child
summer is right around the corner and my kids can’t wait to see what field trips they will be going on this year!
I wouldn't trust my children anywhere else! So happy to have found COA!
I cannot express how grateful we are to have found Children of America. My children have attended several local childcare centers but we weren't impressed with any of them until we found COA. I love their approach to learning and I can tell a difference in the love my child now shows when approaching new things. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, for all you do!
Love COA Indianapolis! Excellent childcare program!
This place is amazing takes great care of the kids and my nephews love it there great environment and always has something planned to keep the kids interested
Love this daycare! Teachers are great with the children!
The Camp Wow was top notch this year!
Great place to bring my kids. The teachers excellent!
I used to go here after school and we had a lot of fun and made a lot of friends
TERRIBLE❗️DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN GO HERE. They abuse and neglect children. They tied my four year old son to a stroller. THE WORST EVER. ZERO Stars! I don’t know how they sleep at night! PATHETIC!!!!!!!
We love this center! My child has attended here for 5 years and now she's ready for Kindergarten! The staff here are so friendly and loving. I always love receiving their daily sheets via email and seeing pictures of my child throughout the day! I toured a few other centers before choosing this one and the others do not even compare to COA. It's clean, organized, and top quality care. Classrooms are always in ratio which is something I look for. The curriculum is great! My daughter has learn sooo much here. The management up front are so welcoming and helpful and always answer and questions I have. I would recommend this center to anyone!
My child has had so much fun this summer. We will attending next summer as well!
You would be missing out if you took your children to any other childcare center. You just wont find quality like this anywhere else. Highly recommend!!
This child care center is amazing! My daughter attended when she was a young toddler and it was the first time she was experiencing being away from mommy. Her teachers were great with making her feel safe and loved. She learned a lot during her time there as well. The director Rebecca is very welcoming, kind and easy to talk to. You can tell she loves her job and the kids! It's hard to find a place you trust enough to leave your child with them but I never felt worried about leaving her in the care of the teachers at COA. If I did feel uneasy at all there is also the added benefit of cameras in the classrooms and as a parent we can see what our kids are doing throughout the day.
My grandkids love this day care. It is nice to drop them off and have them want to go in. They are actually learning and making friends.
This daycare is a great place for kids! They have a great staff and most importantly, I feel confident in the safety of my child. The teachers are very hands on with their students and I love that the Director is in tuned with each student and always knows whats going on! A++ in my book, keep up the great work!
This is the best preschool my grandkids have ever attended… They have so much fun during the day with their teachers, They don’t even want to go home at the end of the day. My school-aged granddaughter also attends after school and she is so excited to be there during the summer and go on all the field trips and take advantage of the activities they have planned !
My niece never stops talking about how much she loves her classroom and her teachers!!!! She has made many good friends and memories here!! Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a wonderful child care facility that my god-daughters have attended daily for some time now. The youngest is barely two years old and talks about her teachers all of the time. Her family and I couldn't be happier that she is enrolled in the toddler program at Children of America! I also have an older god-daughter who is picked up from another school on a Children of America bus and brought back to the center and given a health snack. That makes it so much easier on her mother!
This childcare center is horrible. They don't teach your children anything. Kids are always fighting. My child did not like this center at all. The teacher's are also very unprofessional.
Oh "Missy Roe", you are clearly a disgruntled ex-employee. I have been in and out of that place a million times over the years dropping off and picking up my kids and have noticed that the kitchen door stays SHUT. How did you see inside? And if you know ANYTHING about Rebecca (the director) it's that 1) She is FAR from fake. 2) She loves every one of those kids as if they were her own. and 3) she would not tolerate a messy kitchen. I wasn't there, so I didn't see what you saw... but I'm guessing the "texting" you saw the teachers doing, was them putting the kid's daily information in the little tablets the teachers have so that information gets sent to the parents. If you were so appalled by your visit, then why did you continue to check out the place online?? Most people would look at websites and do research BEFORE wasting their time going to a place. All of the horrible things you experienced, AND you saw a bus driver texting?!? That parking lot is tiny you literally drive for 3 seconds then your on the street... so in order to see them texting, I'm guessing you what? Followed a bus down the street?? I could be wrong, maybe you never worked there. You may really be someone that had a bad experience... but I doubt it. My kids have been going to that daycare for 5 years and we have not had ONE thing bad to say. There are a lot of other kids that have been going there for years as well. If half of what you said was true, there wouldn't be that many families that stuck around for so long. That "fake director" as a way of making everyone feel welcomed and like we are all apart of a big family. I love this daycare, and more importantly my kids love going there.
My son has been attending COA Lawrence for about 6 months. Since changing from his old daycare he has excelled and grown exponentially. All of the teachers are very well educated and reassuring and make sure each child gets the attention they need! They have taught my son manners, sharing, spanish, and may other educational tools that will help him go above and beyond in grade school. Outside of the classroom the school is very clean and well maintained. They have a great security system which gives me comfort! I highly recommend this school for any child looking to grow!
