What a wonderful school! We love how the school incorporates the infant class on their field trips and celebrations! Our son has had so much fun traveling to different places and celebrating different holidays with all of his buddies at school! We look forward to many more fun trips in the future!

My daughter starting attending this school at 11 months. I have seen such a change in her! She was born three months early and really struggled with feeding. We were for more than a place to care for our daughter, we looking for a place to help track her development. After attending the school for two months, she is 100% eating on her own and no longer has to go to Developmental Peds appointments. I firmly believe her experience and education provided at Maria Montessori helped her overcome these obstacles.

Strengths: -Teachers: The head teachers all have degrees in the field in addition to their Montessori training. The support teachers have advanced training as well. They know each child's academic strengths and weaknesses as well as their personal ones, and individualize their teaching styles. There is extremely low turnover of the faculty and staff. Even the subs know my children and their interests and hobbies. My children are safe and loved when I'm away. Most teachers are bilingual, as are many children. -Curriculum: The curriculum is common to Montessori schools, and is adapted to the child. It respects the child as a whole person and allows them to develop self discipline, curiosity, and skills in addition to mastering typical topics. This school is special in that it has a music/dance/yoga/art curriculum in addition to the unusual. The school meets all the requirements for certification (I asked and looked it up too), but chooses to use the cost of the certification for a big summer project each year for the kids. Expect optional field trips, extended care, and wrap around care for some breaks and holidays. -Building: The building is nice; big rooms with natural light and separate doors for outside in each class. There are sinks and potties for the children, with a flow between rooms for exchange of children and activities if needed. Meets highest safety standards (certificate in the window). There is a washer and dryer, so you aren't responsible for your kid's sleeping stuff and extra clothes each weekend. People: The other parents who come here are all committed, passionate, interesting people. Having school friends over is easy; their friends are kind with good self control and their parents are comfortable supporting the children's independence. Areas that work for us, but might not be your choice: Food: There isn't a cafeteria, so you pack lunches every day. Also, there is a snack calendar and families take turns bringing assigned snacks. This is fruit, veg, grain, and protein snacks, and most parents bring awesome snacks that keep my kids coming back for seconds. Expect that cost once a month about... Maybe every other. Breaks: If you are familiar with Montessori, you know it has more time off than a typical daycare. This school does a good job of supporting the parents who need child care in addition to education, but it won't always match your work schedule. They do have a parent night out every month that is nice. Screens: There isn't screen time/computer time. We teach them these skills at home. The teachers have a device where they can post your child's photos/diaper changes like most places, but expect a once a day update. These might not even be done every day, because your kids are getting eye contact instead. I like this, but it was an adjustment. For us, the pros outweigh the cons.

Both of my girls attended this preschool for three years. The teachers are passionate about the children and it reflected in the progress our girls have made. We are grateful to find a place where they were not only cared for but taught at their own pace.

I was interested in finding early education on a more individual level versus the more common high teacher/student ratio. I fell in love with the activities and the integreation of so much culture and diveristy. He left the first few introduction days knowing everyone's name and he really liked his teacher. He has been at this school since he was a little over 2. He's now 4, turning 5 in August and has developed so much cognitively and socially. His bond with his teacher Ms. Christina and his growth is what has kept me motivated to keep him here.

We have been pleased with the quality of care our children receive. Both my children have been attending 2 days a week since they were 3 months old, and my oldest is getting ready to transition to kindergarten. I have enjoyed watching her learn to read and write, but what makes me excited is the way her Montessori teachers let her learn at her own pace and all the practical life skills she has acquired. I also love how flexible the school has been with us and allowed us to have the children there 2 days a week which worked great for our family (many of the other preschools I looked at were 3 to 5 day programs).

My daughter has attended this school at this location for nearly two years. Based on her age, she did one year of preschool and spent her kindergarden year there as well. To say that I'm impressed with all they have enabled her to accomplish is an understatement. Upon moving to the area, we enrolled her in hopes of helping her catch up to the knowledge level of other children her age. When doing a walk thru the school, they allowed me to observe the children. I felt that these were advanced children and knowing my daughter, I thought they could try and work with her but it was likely that she would have some struggles compared to these children. Not the case! Because of the appropriately sized classes, one on one time with the certified teachers, and montessori model, they have helped her to thrive in her education. With only half the year over at this point, she is reading at approximately 2nd grade level (maybe beginning 3rd grade level), working on double digit subtraction, starting multiplication, has working knowledge on time, money, and many school subjects. They take monthly educational field trips. They encourage healthy eating and parent participation. The children learn to socialize and work together. This is not just a preschool where your child gets looked after. This school understands this is precious learning time and use that time to really help your child learn. I look forward to enrolling my twin toddlers for the same experience!

We joined the MMIA family a year and a half a go when we moved from the Fort Wayne area to the Indy area. We actually found MMIA for our baby before we ever found a house (that is how important quality childcare is to our family). MMIA has over the past year and a half become a part of our extended family. The teachers are all amazing and are invested in your child's education and wellbeing. They work with your child through any problems that arise and we had a few that our child had (pushing, yelling, biting) and while they were typical behaviors for his age we worked through them together as a team in a positive enriching way and our child stopped the behaviors very quickly.

My experience at the Maria Montessori international Academy was awesome! My daughter entered the school at the age of 2 and stayed there for about two years. My daughter had delayed speech and once she became involved with the school her speech began to improve even more. I appreciated how the staff was caring as this is my only child and I had first day school nervousness like most parents. The staff was always respectful and responded to any of my questions quickly. I watched how the staff interacted with the children and I was SO impressed! The children were respectful, caring, and emphatic to each other. My daughter was later diagnosed as being on the Autism Spectrum and this environment was the best environment for her. This school was the perfect start to my daughter's education in a way that I felt she wouldn't got any where else according her needs. I can't say enough about how Maria Montessori cared for my daughter and set her on a path for greatness. I would't have changed a thing! We were lucky to have this school as her foundation. They rock!

Montessori is SO right for our family, and we couldn't be happier that we found MMIA. The level of education and training the teachers possess is very impressive, plus everyone at MMIA just obviously loves kids and being part of their growth and development. We're beyond confident that our daughter is getting the best early childhood education possible at Maria Montessori International Academy, and that she's safe and loved. My philosophy is that it takes a whole village to raise a child, and I'm ecstatic that MMIA is part of our village.

Fantastic program, caring teachers! I highly recommend MMIA to anyone considering starting their child in a Montessori program. I have two children in the program and I can see their knowledge growth weekly! It’s truly amazing!! My four year old can read, write, count, and is learning Spanish! My two year old is counting, correctly identifying letters, shapes, colors, and numbers along with learning key social skills! The curriculum is well rounded and fun and includes lots of art, music, dance, and cultural exploration. Definately worth it!

We love this daycare and staff! They really take the time to genuinely help your children develop and have a great experience. I am 100% comfortable everyday when I leave my son in their care! I recommend them to any family looking for a nice, clean, perfectly staffed daycare!

We love it here! My son started almost 4 months ago and in that short time he has blossomed. He has become so much more confident, and social with other children. He is happy when he goes in and happy when I pick him up. His teacher Miss Jai is amazing as she always shares what he's done, what they're working on and things that I can work on at home with him. I would recommend this school to anyone who is remotely familiar with the Montessori philosophy, especially since it is one of the only ones I've found that takes babies and toddlers (many don't start till age 3). I'm excited to see what's to come, as I hope to have him here for quite awhile.

Maria Montessori in Zionsville has been a godsend to my family! The teachers are warm and educated. The environment is cozy and welcoming. My son (18 months) has been there for 6 months and his language and motor skills have improved so much! We are big proponents of Montessori methodology.
