I am an 8th grade student here at MOT. The difficult curriculum can be very challenging at times, but it can help expand our minds to different topics. The only reason that I've given this a 4 star is because the teachers can be very strict and at times punish a whole class for one or two people talking. To us it just doesn't seem fair to people who are good students. Even with some of these flaws, it is still a very ethical school, with mostly nice kids.

Hello, I am a former student from M.O.T. Charter School. I went from kindergarten to eighth grade and this school has developed a huge part of me today. Even though there is more homework than other schools, M.O.T. has gave me an experience of friendship I had never had before. The teachers are all very understanding and put the students at a higher level than other local schools. I came into high school freshman year and was very much ahead of the students that went to Redding or Meredith. What M.O.T. gave to me was knowledge of all kinds, great friendship, and the ability to dictate my own life and determine what I wanted to do in life. M.O.T. to me was a positive experience with none other than your friends.

Both of my children attend this school. One is going into 6th grade and the other into 3rd... This school is tough academically and challenges all students, they are WAY ahead of the public schools and it can be seen when our older child is assisting a neighbor's child (who is a year ahead of him in grade at the local public school) with homework, because he already knows the curriculum. They keep the kids grounded with tough discipline and a no nonsense approach to issues such as bullying and bad behavior. Its a small enough school, that all teachers and faculty know all of the children by name and most of the classes and grades know each other all by name also... I would recommend this school to anyone that wants their children to get a top notch education. This school is the number one reason we passed up a career opportunity due to the fact we did not wish to relocate the kids away from this school.

I do carpool for my nieghboohood and some volunteer stuff at school. Every child I encounter seems to be ding really well

Hi, I am currently a sixth grade student here at MOT. I really enjoy the curriculum, though it can be challenging it puts us way more ahead than other public schools in Delaware.
