DESCRIPTION

Here you will be able to see the information of people who have information of the services of Bethesda Child Development Center (Kindergarten) around Delaware area.

Now the firm receives a score of 2.1 out of 5 and that score has been based on 7 reviews.

You may have noticed that its rating is low, and it's founded on an average of feddbacks, so the rating is quite faithful, although it doesn't have a very high number of evaluations to provide it total credibility.

As you know, we don't usually stop to write feddbacks when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...

This Kindergarten is classified in the category of Day care center.

Avoid Bethesda at all costs!! My child was hit, inappropriately touched, and verbally assulted. The center did nothing. They have been reported to the state for several violations. They are rarely in compliance. Staffing levels are wrong. They accept purchase of care which is a huge red flag for the clientele they accept. Don’t send your child there unless you want them to be abused.

UPDATE: My wife and I have decided to find a new preschool for next year. Despite being very happy sending our older child here, we are pulling our younger child. The school is now under new management and we are very upset with how things have changed. The connected church has a new pastor who is significantly more intrusive into how the school is run. The school's primary administrators have been fired and replaced and several of the more experienced teachers have left or are leaving. He has even gone so far as to take over the religious education program from a qualified early childhood educator. My wife went with another mom to discuss our concerns with the new pastor. He was not receptive to feedback and admonished them for discussing our concerns. ======================= Original Post: Our child is in his second year here and we are very pleased. We will be sending our next there in a couple more years. Our son asks us about new things every day and we are amazed that he is learning so much. The staff is very kind and knows nearly all of the parents by the end of the first few weeks. My wife normally takes him, but they still know me from the few times I've been on my days off. A great school and worth every penny.

Bethesda Child Developement Center is such a wonderful preschool/childcare center! The staff and teachers are incredibly nice, welcoming, and treat you and your child as family. I love that I get pictures of my child sent straight to my e-mail of what he's doing that day along with any updates concerning how he's doing and/or what to expect as far as planned events for the children in the upcoming days. They always have special events for the children planned and my child brings a full folder home every day of all the lessons he's completed and artwork he's created through the day! Their playground for recess is very nice and enclosed with fencing. The security system at Bethesda is great! Doors are locked at all times and no one is permitted to enter without first ringing the "bell" and being personally identified through the camera by staff. It is made clear to the parents that for the child's safety, no one is to hold the door open for anyone before first being identified by staff through the camera. That is understood, appreciated, and brings peace of mind! The staff takes the safety and protection of our children seriously! My child has learned so much from his amazing teacher and is always excited to show me what was learned that day when we get home! The child to teacher ratio is appropriate with around 10 to 2 (10 or less children with 1 teacher and 1 assistant per room). The rooms are well equipped and organized for learning and play! They have a great curriculum and they make it fun knowing that's how kids learn best! They are not just "sitters", they are actually qualified and certified educators! The center is insanely clean. The cleaning staff does an incredible job at keeping the center spotless! This center does accept POC which I find to be a great thing as that means they are under very strict regulations and policies that are put in place by the state. They undergo state qualifications and inspections on a yearly basis. They do an incredible job with everything and I am so thankful to God to have found such an amazing preschool/childcare center that also has amazing staff and teachers for my little one! We are beyond pleased with our experience at Bethesda. Also, be sure to check out their FaceBook Page for more information/pictures/etc.!

This school claims to have a good reputation however I would think twice about sending my child here. My experience was less than satisfactory and I found the staff to be rude and impersonal. The class rooms are tiny and stuff to capacity. You will wait in long lines to pick up you child each and everyday. My child did not pick up on any thing the taught. I attribute this to there very tight staff and over crowded rooms. My suggestion pay a little more for better service! Good luck

A family member had told me to be on guard here just in case the sayings about the administration team being racist were true. I have witnessed the teachers being very kind and caring to the children, but the administrators definitely are more kind and helpful to the Caucasian children vs. the children of color and even staff of color. I over heard Wendy saying some very nasty things and am very disappointed considering this is a Christian child care. I pray things get better here and people are treated more fairly. Please beware if your child is Spanish speaking, Asian, or African American. They are not treated the same!

My experience with the teachers and administration is nothing but excellent. Wendy and Emily have been wonderful in answering all of my questions and making sure we as a family all feel comfortable. The teachers are kind and the school smells like bleach which in my eyes means clean. My daughter is talking better and begs me to go to school. I am happy we chose Bethesda.
