As an adult, learning an instrument can be a daunting task. And playing at home by yourself can be a challenge. At the school of rock they put you in a real band where you can play with people of a similar age and skill level. It's extremely motivating, and fun. Now go out and be your own rock star.

Jesus Ortiz

All the instructors are top-notch and passionate individuals, also the adult band program is a lot of fun.

Deborah Arca

Incredible staff and teachers. My 16 year old thought he was going to hate piano lessons but instead looks forward to seeing Mike and writing songs and learning new songs every week! The staff is so great and accommodating and they “get” my kid!

David Deen

We love School of Rock, and watching our kid up on stage at his recent concert was a truly great experience.

Jake Williams

Auditioned here a while back for a teaching position. Despite 20 years of playing rock and a minor in jazz they wouldn't even call me back when I tried to follow up 2 days later. If you really want to help a musician get a private lesson. That way all the money actually goes to the person who spent years working on their craft rather than the School of Rock franchise fees. They pay $15/hour to start. They weren't concerned with my experience playing rock, they were more concerned with arbitrary things like the half note shuffle or 6 strike roll. Elements of exactly .001% of rock songs. High prices babysitters basically

This school is just amazing!!! So inspirational for so many kids and it's great to see how those kids have so much fun in learning what they really Love. I attended so many schools of music in my life and this one is the only one that not only teaches you how to sing or play an instrument but it really teaches you how to be on stage with great charisma which in my opinion is one of the most important things to be a great musician! Thumbs up for the School of Rock!!!

My daughters have been attending School Of Rock for a year now. I hate revealing my sources but this place is, honestly, a hidden gem. The people, the inspiration, the talent, and enthusiasm is like nothing Ive seen in any other studio. Its inspiring and self esteem building for children. My daughter earned a top spot in her upcoming play performance, from a local Arts After-School Program, even though she has never performed on stage before. Parents (whose children are also in the show) have been congratulating me and asking how she managed to earn a key role with no experience. I completely attribute it to Jennifer, George, Phil, her vocal coaches and all of the inspirational people she has had the privilege of spending this past year with, at School of Rock. So, my secret it, officially, OUT!!!!

Denise Montoya

Amazing instructors. My son has finally found a musical home where he can play the type of music he likes. The Performance Group show at Fox Theater in Boulder was so professional...made my son feel like a ROCK STAR! Best place to learn music in the Broomfield area.

My 13-yr old loves this place! He does a 45-minute private lesson plus 3-hour performance practice each week. Wonderful instruction and a fabulous experience overall. Definitely recommend!

Instructor was very patient with young children. He gave assignments so learning continued after the sessions. In less than a month my child knew different keys on the piano.

As an instructor at the Broomfield School of Rock, my experience here has been nothing short of wonderful! The kids are so passionate about music and the other instructors are superb! I love what the performance program offers the students and the 2nd home the school has provided for them. School of Rock probides a safe and unique environment for the students to learn and is unlike any other music school. Teaching the kids the skills they need to succeed in music and life and play music with other kids builds the stepping stones for them to perform just like a famous rock band! So many good things happening at School of Rock!!!

We've been at School of Rock Broomfield for three years. I have two boys who play keyboard and drums. The quality of the lessons and instructors is great. Their performance groups are fun and instructional. I highly recommend this organization for anyone interested in learning drums, guitar, keyboard, or vocals. Their most recent show was at the Fox Theater in Boulder! It was excellent, just like seeing a top notch group perform!

Fantastic school with incredible teachers! Great place to grow musically and to gain confidence with playing and performing live. School of Rock has given our students once in a lifetime experiences like performing at Red Rocks (opening for Film on the Rocks in 2015), as well as multiple exciting live venue options like last week's performance at the Fox Theater in Boulder. I highly recommend this school for kids of any age and any musical ability--they will become better performers and musicians.

Music is the ultimate team building sport. The School of Rock makes everything fun. The instructors encouraged a love for music in my daughter. They fully supported her goals and always act in her best interest. They are always there for extra help. My daughter loves to be there and loves to rock out on her guitar. Most of all they take feedback from a parental standpoint exceptionally well. A program the kid loves and the parent loves too is exceptional. Warning: after your kid plays a School of Rock gig in a fabulous venue it will make those school cafeteria performances more difficult to sit through.

There are so many things to love about School of Rock Broomfield. First, the people. I have zero experience with other locations, but I've played with a lot of musicians and every single person on the staff (a) knows their stuff and (b) provides a positive learning environment for students. My son leaves every practice and rehearsal with a smile and energy/drive to practice and play. He has made more progress in the first four months at School of Rock Broomfield than I could've ever asked for. Like Robert Johnson style. I was so suspicious that I gave him an at-home test for PEDs, but it came back clean. It's just the ridiculous level of training he's getting at School of Rock Broomfield. Second, I love the structure. The mix of private lessons and group rehearsals is perfect for a developing musician. I also like the fact that you have the opportunity to study with different teachers. He is able to spend enough time with one instructor to develop/accomplish a lot and gather good momentum, but he is also able to get fresh perspectives from more great musicians. I also like the communication platform. This has been a great way to hear from and communicate directly at any time with the instructors and performance group leaders. I'm never in the dark as to what to practice with my son or what he should expect from performance group each week. Communication is key and this platform is great for that. Lastly, we love the other students. My son has developed some really good friendships already. It's a great group of kids. Random additional thoughts... I love that the instructors continue to challenge my son. They still spend enough time on a given concept for it to take root, but he's got challenging new things to work on each week and it helps to keep him interested & improving. I love that the people care about the kids. For example, ear protection. I've always been super strict with my son as far as ear protection during practice and it made me feel very good to find that the school is on the same page with me on that. I love the focus on fun. Music is supposed to be fun and all of the students I see are having fun. Nobody takes themselves too seriously and it's a fun environment that fosters creativity and learning. That's key!!

My son started at the School or Rock in Boulder (3280 28th Street) in 2013 and had no experience with any instruments or singing. The Boulder SOR is an excellent SOR; however, we moved to Broomfield and decided it would be best to transfer him to the Broomfield SOR. He was hesitant to move because he had made some great friends and had some great instructors in Boulder. The Broomfield SOR turned out to be a great move. He has attended summer camps, has had private lessons and is in the Performance Program. The camaraderie the kids have at the Broomfield SOR is great to see. These are great kids with a passion for music and it shows in the way they rehearse, practice and perform. The instructors and staff at the Broomfield SOR are mega talented themselves and ensure the kids are on task and learning in a fun environment. If your child is in the Performance Program, the staff also makes sure the kids get to experience performing in public places, not just in front of friends and family at the school. House Band takes the experience up a notch. Example: in 2014 my son tried out for, and made "House Band" and has had experiences that few have had. For example, he was able to play at Red Rocks this summer and got to sign his name in the tunnels under the amphitheater, amazing! If you have a kid with even an iota of interest in music you should definitely give the SOR in Broomfield (or Boulder) a try! Besides, IMHO, being a "rocker mom" is way cooler than being a "soccer mom!"

An excellent school! I resisted taking lessons for years, thinking that I wouldn't get much out of it but was so happily surprised here. I had two different teachers and both had a deep knowledge of both the instrument and music in general. I also appreciated how quickly they adjusted to my level and helped me build on skills with each lesson. I've tried books, DVDs and youtube lessons in the past but they are no substitute for a knowledgeable teacher who can see and hear how to help. Welcome to Broomfield, School of Rock!
