Reviews of Glendale American Elementary (Kindergarten)

This school is an overall ok, at their learning, but is horrible at the way they handle their students. [Pros] Does include a cafeteria, orderly line fashion to get lunches. Has recess after lunch, includes people playing soccer, football, 4 square, and basketball. Does care in events and stuff like a little science fair or concerts. Has band. Education is alright, just students misbehave quite a lot. The cleanliness of this place is ok, could work on it. Staff members are usually okay, but sometimes are a bit careless with their job. There are a few more minor things that would be noted too. Pretty much it on this category. [Cons] I cannot even start to say how bad they handle situations and drama between students. It’s almost like they don’t even care. They do handle fights and abuse but not drama. Students get bullied a lot and these actions are reported to staff members and they just shrug them off and say, “Your old enough to take care of your own things”. But it gets really serious. I won’t call names on who did those, but just beware. The attitude of a few teachers are bad. They are just plain “biased” and somewhat rude. Could improve a bit of release and morning drop off schedules though. A bit tight. That is pretty much it. I wouldn’t say I didn’t like this school but you could get better ones.

School seems ok, no issues with staff, just their policies. You cannot drop children off before 7:20 am and if later than 7:40am they are late. Only a 20 minute window seems a little crazy.

Both my boys with special accommodation have loved being in their classes this past week and teachers are great with communication and helping the boys learn. Glad I decided to take the chance and enrolled them.

My daughter's teacher/ substitute have been going MIA for more than 2 months I want to say. The students are ready below grade level and not having a teacher doesn't help at all.

Very bad staff. There's a lot of bullying going on and even though it's brought up to teachers and principal they don't do a thing about it. They don't give you the time of day and fix the real problems around the school saying they need time to actually figure out what the problem is and get "opinions" from other kids when you're clearly telling them there's something SERIOUS going on. Doesn't even deserve a star

Very prejudice assistant principal, bus driver for the bus #9 route.. I am very not pleased with how they handle situations. My child seems too be the only child at fault and seen too do things. While the other student is innocent. My child is punished severely for defending self and the other child not punished at all. My child black the other child white. My child will not be attending this school next year.

This school is not what it used to be back in the days, now you will see mean unprofessional teachers and substitutes, crowded classrooms, as far as I know each classroom should have not more than 25 students, this school here some have even 40 student is insane ! The principal spent a lot of time in “ meetings “ not paying attention to the most important stuff in campus and never seen. I would not reccommed this school to anyone. Anonymous.
