I as a student was there for about four years, And my dad taught robotics and helped out a teacher who was unable to teach because she was horrid at teaching, so I asked my dad to go to school and help her out.
My overall experience was a Rollercoaster! Sure you get ready in the morning a little quicker with the uniforms, but that doesn't mean your not going to be judged the minute you get to school. * NEWS FLASH * kids don't just judge you on what you're wearing, they find ANYTHING to make fun on you.
They say that they are NOT a MORMON school, but they surly are! The teachers and coaches said that they liked us all the same, but I really didn't belive that. You can definitely tell which teachers were Mormon. There was favoritism towards the Mormon kids, and religion was always brought up in class, and I'm pretty sure that's NOT aloud. One year I wanted to join a softball team, and of course it was with a MORMON Coach, and when I got to the practice, I felt very left out, and when the time came around to pick the final softball teammates, guess what!!! They were ALL MORMON!!!! Same with the choir teacher. I was in choir for the whole time at ALA, And once again favoritism. Their was 1st sopranos and 2nd. And for some reason 1st somehow mentioned #1 haha. And you guessed it, they were all MORMON! And they treated everyone like they were lower than dirt.
Another thing that annoyed me was when I would say "OH MY GOD". They would act like it was going to make their ears bleed, And they being MORMONS! I had a teacher threaten me suspension if I didn't stop saying it. REALLY! My dad being a teacher there even got bullied. My dad, not Mormon, smoked, drank coffee, and if the kid was disruptive, he would set them straight! But he never divided the class from Mormon, to non-mormons. One day I came home from class and I needed help with math homework and I bet you there was like 50 math problems. Well that day I went to math class, guess what that teacher was working on... SOFTBALL STUFF! She was the head coach for softball and the math teacher and instead of teaching math she decided to order the softball gear and uniforms, DURING A CLASS! So after telling my dad that he decided to go see her before class, and right when he got in there she was sassy, and rude to him and didn't want to give him the time to speak. So my dad threw the parent card at her saying, "are you talking to me as a co-worker, or as a parent? Cause now I'm a parent!" And she kept making up excuses, claiming softball was more important. After that whole deal was done, I had class that morning with her and you know what she did, she called me out in class, in front of EVERYONE!
So please save the headache and NEVER EVER bring your children here!
