I cannot say how disappointed we are with the business practices of Horizon Interoriors. We confirmed a start date for our flooring project as August 23rd. When I called to confirm the date I actually asked the owner, Val, to confirm the date. He said to me “hang on” and came back to the phone and said August 23rd. My husband made arrangements to be home. On the 23rd no one came as arranged. My husband ended up calling at 10am and Val said the start date had been changed to the following Monday. Baloney! He ended sending someone out that afternoon. The whole project was a fiasco. He sent subcontractors to my home, never checked to see what was going on and put my families and his workers health in jeopardy. His crew ripped up asbestos tiling from our floor, as stated by his foreman, and didn’t tell us about this until after the flooring was ripped up and taken out! The foreman stated Val, the owner, was aware of the asbestos flooring and told the foreman to continue ripping it out. I was in the house the whole time breathing in asbestos fragments. An abatement should have been done. He didn’t finish as scheduled, we had to cancel our trip out of town and he billed us $7,000 over the quoted price. He adjusted the bill but, good God, doesn’t he know what his office staff is doing. I’m genuinely concerned about what is going to happen to my families health in the future. I don’t believe he cares. My advise, RUN! Do not hire this person. Also, the day after he started the project I was home, he came by so I asked him what happened (in regards to the start date). He had the nerve to say to me, “I’m a big boy. If I made a mistake I would admit it but I don’t think I made a mistake.” Unprofessional and appalling! That is the last time he came to my home. His workers were there and I received a bill five days after they finished installing the floor. Speechless! I have built one home, renovated another and even renovated a commercial property. I have never dealt with anyone of the caliber. He should be ashamed of himself. We most likely will be seeking legal counsel and reporting him to the Better Business Bureau.

Went in to Horizon Interiors just to start my tile search. I was redoing the a master bathroom shower. I found them while looking to see places that sold Daltile, which I originally used in 2008 when my bathroom was originally done. Dot was very helpful in helping me choose tile that would compliment already existing tile around the tub. Everyone there made it very easy to order, pay and pick up the tile. Even when I needed more due to a design change. Can't thank them enough for making this part of the project easy.

LOVE my new counter tops!!! In the kitchen we had a raised bar that we removed, which involved some construction. Dot was our designer and from the very beginning was absolutely wonderful to work with. We had a budget in mind and she was adamant about finding exactly what we wanted for the price we wanted to pay, and met me at a number of different warehouses all over the place. The install was seamless and even though we had numerous people in and out, they were done in a short time and kept the area very clean. We are very happy with everything and highly recommend Horizon Interiors!

We had a great experience with Horizon, renovating our kitchen. Even though our kitchen is relatively small, they were very responsive and helpful. They made the project easy for us by coordinating every aspect. They followed up promptly, did high-quality work, made adjustments to the project as needed and did a nice job trouble shooting for little issues that came up after the project began. It would be a no-brainer for us to work with them again.

Horizon Interiors recently did a project at my house. They replaced some horrible rugs with beautiful laminate flooring. The replaced some tired wallpaper with gorgeous paint! And my stairs were sanded down, refinished and painted as well. The various workers who were at my house were always very pleasant and professional. They worked many hours to make the finished project perfect! I would definitely recommend Horizon Interiors as my work was done on budget and they really took pride in having the finished product meet or really exceed my expectations! Thanks to Val, Dot and all the staff who worked on my home!!!

They did a great job in the time frame they said it would take. Came back out and fixed a few items twice. Never gave me a hard time about fixing things that I thought needed to be done. They helped me pick out the colors to match and sync with everything I wanted. Kept in my budget. AS you can see it went from drab plywood to beautiful cream.

We had a Bathroom completely remodeled by Horizons interiors. This was a completely gutted bathroom and a rebuild. The design phase was nothing short of Exceptional. There are so many options, features, colors, etc. to go through that you could spend days determining what to do. Erica did a Tremendous job of guiding us through this process. She designed the bathroom and helped us quickly come up with color schemes, vanities, fixtures, etc. We can honestly say that She sold this project. The project started off OK but soon ran into troubles because of the age of the home. We had plumbing problems that need to be addressed. Our furnace need to be addressed, and the condition of the floor had some issues. Once problems arise, the project schedule completely unravels. We seem to trip up a bit on resource schedules. Here is where the homeowner needs to be on top of the project a bit more. For "Our" project almost all communication was via Email. When you're managing a large project that unravels, you cannot be communications via email as it leads to frustration and mis-interpretations on both sides of the emails. Horizon Interiors needs to do a better job of having their Project Manager "On-Site" and talking to the homeowner either face to face or via telephone calls to prevent things from getting out of hand. In all fairness, this was a large project with multiple problems. Horizon Interiors did take care of them and we got through the project. The end result is, Our bathroom is absolutely gorgeous and we are extremely satisfied with the results. Word of caution when using them.... "Communicate verbally, frequently, and in person if possible". All said and done, I would recommend them and use them again if projects came up. They use High Quality product and do get the job done.

Everyone at Horizon Interiors was a pleasure to work with. They were really great in helping us pick out exactly what we wanted. The installation went very smooth and they were always very neat! I would highly recommend Horizon Interiors!!

Val the owner came out to measure our kitchen for a new granite countertop and sink. He sent us to a couple of places to choose the counter top and when we did he never got back to us. Tried calling them but they do not return phone calls. I guess we are probably lucky that we did not choose them for our small project since just getting them to return phone calls seems impossible. Lauren & Wally I think you may want rethink your opinion on this guy. Katia & Phil

First let me say that I only went to Horizon Interiors because they were close and as a consumer, I was unable to purchase a specific type of cabinet directly from a manufacturer. I went in to the show room and picked out exactly what I needed in short order, signed a contract, and put a 50% deposit down, understanding that the owner would be out to measure at my house later that week. Unfortunately after a few calls to them I found out that he was "on vacation." No one else would come out to measure, so I had to wait an extra week to even have measurements done. I know the turn time on production from the manufacturer is several weeks, so I was prepared to wait for my order, but my frustration really began when I got a call stating that my cabinets had arrived in the showroom and were ready for delivery & install. "Great!" I thought. Unfortunately I was unable to find any time with the company to get the installation done. After a few times back and forth trying to find a time that I could meet them and take off work, I stopped hearing from them. Several weeks went by and I still didn't have a cabinet. I called multiple times over the next couple of weeks, but it seemed like they were dodging my calls. When I finally was able to get them on the phone, we found a time that I could take off from work to meet their installer at my home to get the cabinet in place. Once we were confirmed, I took the day off work and waited. No one showed up all day. I called the office several times and no one returned my calls. It wasn't until a week and several unanswered calls later that I was finally able to actually get someone in to install the cabinet as promised. Then, after wasting months of time and missing an install appointment with no call or no show, they billed me for the full amount of the contract as if I hadn't given them a deposit at all.
