BUYERS BEWARE!!!! Unfortunately we had a horrible experience. Long delays to get items. Damaged sofa when arrived. And we even didn’t even receive some items!!! Little to no communication from them after we had paid. If I got information it was because I called or emailed. And then, there were constantly excuses. The attitude given for my frustration was rude and complacent. Over promised and Under delivered. Complete waste of time and energy. Edited to add response to M Kaplan, the TRUTH is you tried to commit Insurance Fraud to pay for the damaged sofa and You lied about replacing it. Now you’re trying to bully/slander me personally (seems that’s your go-to on anyone giving you a poor review here and elsewhere) I have stated numerous times that as soon as my cc statement shows the monies refunded I will schedule a pickup. But you’re not going to harass and bully me to get your way BEFORE i get my money for the damaged sofa. BUYERS BEWARE!!!

A fabulous experience from start to finish. First, I want to say that I saved so much money!!! They came out to my home, drew up floor plans, selected all of the furniture, fabrics, lighting, wallpaper, rugs etc., furniture was delivered and I love it! I would highly recommend this company. I had a worse experience with this company. Bought bernhardt sofas and they are defected. Since past 10 months I am calling and getting the same answer that let me call you back. Let me talk to the dispatcher. I will ship them again. Didn't hear from the Bernhardt. My warranty is ending on the sofas and looks like Matt is just buying the time. Frustrated Customer

My issue is with their sense of what excellent customer service is. But first, the good news. We ordered two sofas, two reclining chairs, a family room designer rug, two King size “box springs”, and an entire bedroom set with a King size med and mattress. We love all of this! The furniture is terrific and it seems like we got a good deal. Matt worked with us personally to select and order everything. That started back in October 2017. I won’t go through the entire ordeal, but let’s just say that we experienced some of the same things that the lower ratings here and on Yelp experienced. Namely over commitment on dates and under delivery, lack of communication (promises to call us back that we’re not kept), some damaged furniture, and an unwillingness to take accountability. In my line of work we know that some people are accountable and others are responsible. Sometimes the same people are both. When the furniture manufacturer doesn’t ship the furniture according to the promised timeframes that M Kaplan communicated, the manufacturer is responsible for those delays. I get that. But we didn’t order the furniture from the manufacturer. We ordered it from M Kaplan and ultimately they need to be accountable for our satisfaction. We were repeatedly lectured that delays were not his responsibility and that there was nothing he could do about it. Perhaps there is truth to that, however, they needed to do a much better job setting expectations and pro-actively communicating with us. When we finally got the last set of furniture in June 2018, we were happy that the lengthy ordeal was over. Love the furniture, not so much the customer service. I see the owner in their response is claiming they don’t have an invoice with my name on it. That is correct, the invoice is under the name of my partner who lives with me. She and I purchased the furniture together. We both met Matt Kaplan when we purchased it and I spoke personally with Matt Kaplan multiple times through this ordeal. Their response is disingenuous and typical of their customer service.

The most beautiful showroom I have ever seen.The quality of the pieces are far superior to stores like Restoration Hardware and the prices are way better. The owners are extremely knowledgeable (Margaret is a "real" designer trained at Moore and is ASID accredited) and helpful. I love what I bought and would highly recommend M Kaplan Interiors

I got furniture from there many years ago and it held up great, I stopped 2 days ago and the staff was very rude. He didn't speak. I spoke first and introduced myself and what I asked for he said we don't have it and didn't offer any other alternatives. Maybe its a different owner and or Co but I make people know my experience.

I had a wonderful experience when I chose Margaret to design my new home. She listened to my needs and vision and made it happen. It only took one presentation, she nailed it! Margaret got in my head and made my house a home. From floor plans to fabrics to color to custom cabinetry...she did it!! Some of the house wife designers that I interviewed were crushed by Margaret's knowledge of construction, furniture, color and overall design. I also saved a lot of money too! When I worked with other designers in the past they charged me a whopping fee, and bought the furniture from a dealer such as M Kaplan. THEN the designer marked up the furniture..then the other designer charged me for freight AND delivery. I am so happy that I found M Kaplan Interiors.
