Our home was in need of a serious remodel and we had been wanting to do it since purchased several years ago. In my original research back then I really struck out trying to find an interior designer who was not astronomical in cost, and had a portfolio of pleasing aesthetic. I don't know how I missed her before, but I just ran a google search and I knew immediately when I saw her work that she was the one. Kami decorated and furnished an apartment for us in the Irvington area. We had a moderate budget and a short timeframe within which to complete the project. Kami was amazing! She worked with us to understand our design preferences and then developed a plan including style, colors, furniture, and furnishings. She completed the project ahead of time and on budget. On July 14th, 2015 I became a homeowner. I've got to start with that as it's a hurdle I never anticipated being able to leap. It is something I have always dreamed about, but in that la-la land fairy tale way. So imagine my surprise at my complete and total designers block once I was in my house. I'm finally living my dream, yet I can't figure out what to do with it. I couldn't get my dining room to flow into my kitchen, my basement remodel left that space completely disjointed from the 1941 elements I loved about the main floor... and I have a thing for galvanized piping. I also came to the realization that I do not have the know how, or bandwidth, to search out design solutions and implement them. I needed someone to propose solutions, manage the purchasing and deliveries, then to install in entirety. Enter, Kami. Introduced to me by my realtor, she came highly recommended for her sense of design, creativity, and — if you meet her, you'll get this — fantastically quirky attitude. We walked though my house together — top to bottom, then bottom to top — discussing things I liked, loved, and those I disliked. Kami asked how I used the spaces. She asked how my daughter used the spaces. Then she asked how we used the spaces together. From here we took off on the adventure of redesigning my entryway, dining room, kitchen lighting, kitchen nook, and basement bathroom. There was a lot of communication. At minimum, daily updates on ideas or timelines. Budget was reviewed each time a new piece was considered, added, or removed. On install day Kami and her crew arrived alongside my deliveries toting power tools galore, garbage bags, lots of coffee, and got to work. About six hours later Kami took me for a walk through, similar to the one we originally did — top to bottom, then bottom to top. It's an amazing feeling to experience my house turning into my home. I cannot recommend Kami more highly, she made my la-la land fairy tale a reality.

We moved into a much larger house in the country about 5 months ago and immediately felt overwhelmed with trying to fill its rooms and make it feel like home. After meeting with Kami and doing a walk thru of our home, ideas emerged that we never would have been able to come up with on our own. She has a true eye for detail and bringing out the best of what a home has to offer. Our main living spaces are now beautiful, cozy, classy, and original while still being small child friendly! Working with Kami has been great. She is very responsive and very positive. I had never hired a designer like her before and I'm glad I did. I was feeling overwhelmed after taking a year to remodel a much bigger house. I didn't have anything left in me to furnish the inside. Last week I shot this GORGEOUS mid-century modern home. Each room was filled with unique and stunning pieces that made me feel comfortable in the space, but also alive at how beautiful it was. Kami Gray used the space brilliantly. As I was shooting I was wishing that my living room looked like this, and my entertainment space was this comfortable. Honestly I didn't want to leave. And when my client told me their remodel budget I was blown away at what Kami was able to do!

Kami designed our basement, living room/dining room on a shoestring budget and it looks amazing! She came up with tons of options for me to choose from and was fast! She couldn't have made it easier. She also designed our entire house on the coast and it was a huge project which she tackled seamlessly. The end result is beautiful and I couldn't be happier. While she doesn't specialize in budget decor, she really stuck to the budget and came up with creative, cost-saving ideas which were beautiful. She is fast and knows her stuff. I'm looking forward to finding another project for her to take on!
