When my husband and I began renovating we hardly knew where to begin. We were wishing we could find some HGTV stars to help us - and then we went to Cherry City and found Kent! He got the project started with the right LVP flooring and contacted their excellent installers who happened to be available almost immediately. When it came time for the tile backsplash, he came to the house and put together a pattern that will be sure to please well into the future. We are very grateful for the gentle guidance and highly recommend Kent and Cherry City Interiors.

On August 9th of this year Cherry City began replacement of the floors of my home. After discussing with their project manager Justin before the work began and the confirming with him after the work was started, I was informed that the work would be completed on August 12th for me to move in that day. Please note that I gave the contractor installer my personal cell number the day he started work. When I arrived at my home on the 12th to move in, the floors and finishings were incomplete or done poorly, the floors were filthy, Taco Bell sauce stains and wrappers were left on my kitchen counter, and a pile of debris were left in my garage. I then called and spoke with Justin about this and was then informed that their contractor installer walked off the job site without telling anyone to leave the job incomplete and in a mess. So at this point their installer didn’t finish the job that he was paid to do and their project manager was very hands-off because he didn’t verify that the job was finished. These things in themselves were very unprofessional, but the problems continued the following week when I had to schedule two more times for their installer to come out to either finish or correct the poor work he had done with everything still not being complete after the second visit. I scheduled a third and final time for their installer to come on the 20th but he didn’t show up and didn’t call me. The installer then came out without notice on the 22nd when no one was available to let him in. After this I informed them that the installer would no longer be welcomed into my home and that they needed to send someone else out to my home that would be professionally competent to finish the work. After much back and forth, on September 10th, their quality control manager Russ came out to finish and correct the work but still did not finish everything. He told me that we was going to have Justin order some more parts the next day and then schedule a time to come back out to finally finish the job. It took him 3 weeks to get back to me. After which he finally finished the job on October 6th. Almost two months after it was scheduled to be completed. I just got a bill from them today for the full amount with no discount for their continuous errors. Stay away from them at all costs and go with someone else! UPDATE: After I submitted this review I left a voicemail and the general manager called me back. We negotiated $1300 off the final price for the various issues with his employees. I feel that he attempted to make things right but he shouldn't have waited so long to get involved. Even with the discount I still cannot recommend Cherry City. They made way too many errors.

We had a flooring emergency when our dishwasher failed and flooded underneath our floor. We had many issues with another contractor trying to get that and the floor replaced before we took the advice of a colleague and called Cherry City. Russ and Angee came out literally the next day, and Russ' assessment of the damage was spot on and saved us quite a bit of time and money just with his knowledge and experience alone. My family and I just went in. We were trying to get 1,400 sqft of porcelain floors And 1,500 of woodenfloors for our home. I don't know if the staff were stereotyping us for being mexican but they basically ignored us. The guy we spoke to took us straight to the cheapest tile and just left didn't bother to come back and check up on us. We left and they didn't even bother to say goodbye. Their lose they lost a customer.

My wife and I had been looking for new flooring for a long time. We were struggling with what type of flooring and what color would best match our hickory cabinets and dark granite counters in our large open kitchen. Jeff made some recommendations and we took some samples home. Among the samples was a TAS laminate called Equinox multi width / Rivieria. It was exactly what we had been looking for. Jeff came and measured the area and gave us a quote the next day. We then went to another flooring company to get another quote to compare. Not even close. Same exact product but Jeff’s quote was the best by far. We signed the quote and Jeff scheduled the installation with Josh. Josh was great. He called to let me know the date of the install and how long it would take. When Josh delivered the flooring a few days in advance to acclimate, he took the time to discuss the project with me. He recommended which direction to lay the planks, how the base shoe finish would look and even had the hickory base shoe custom stained to match the cabinets. He communicated with me twice a day to let me know when they were at the house, when they left, and that the house was locked. Very professional! We also had carpet replaced in one of the bedrooms by Don that was done in a few hours and looks great. Both Josh and Don left the project clean and tidy. Shout out to Jeff, Josh, and Don! Thank you for a job well done! We are extremely happy with the flooring and will have additional projects for you in the future. Thank you…Tom & Maria

HORRIBLE Customer service!!! Crystal, who actually greeted me and my son upon walking in, completely changed face after I asked ONE SIMPLE question. After browsing a bit, I politely walked up to the desk and asked her to clarify two pieces of tile, where she continued to type and responded, “I would have to see them”..never looking up or asking me to wait...she rudely continued to type! She was not on the phone or helping ANYONE! Common sense was to clearly get up and figure it out and assist , keeping my composure with my five-year-old son present, I calmly walked out of the store with my son and called to confirm her name and who she was. I will never do business with that store all thanks to Crystal and her horrible customer service. First impression in business is key Crystal and I truly hope management emphasises that to you. Very demeaning to say the least!

After painstakingly picking out samples, Patrick came out to measure my house. I wanted luxury vinyl and carpeting throughout the house. Not an inexpensive project! He promised to give me the written estimate a week later, owing to a holiday and his vacation. I am still waiting. I guess I'll spend my money elsewhere. They aren't the only flooring company in Salem.

The floor installation project was supposed to be done by the time we moved in, but the installer walked off the job and didn't tell the project manager. The project manager did not confirm it was done. We had to move in around a large pile of old flooring and cut boards left in our garage. The inside of our house was covered in dust from the flooring, so we had to allow our movers to place things around and then go back and clean it up, moving things to sweep and mop and then move it back. We then had to schedule a time for the installer to come back and finish...and he didn't even finish it that time. He showed up late that time and the next. Then did not show up the third time and then showed up without being scheduled another day. We finally got in touch with the quality control person, who came out to finish (after we insisted on working with someone other than our original installer), but he didn't have the right pieces (even after my husband had told him what still needed to be done. So even he had to come back another time (weeks later). It was a terrible customer service experience, which is so disappointing because Cherry City had such good reviews and a good selection of options. We were even planning on having them replace our countertops, but now I don't trust them to do it in a timely manner or to provide good service.

We have needed new floor coverings in several rooms; hard surface, carpeting, and rubber, for a long time and were dreading the process. Cherry City Interiors - Melissa made it so incredibly easy and enjoyable for us! She has great taste, and knew exactly what we would like. She hand picked many of the samples out for us, and they were ready to look at when we arrived. One half hour later we were done and loving the products Melissa helped us choose!! We put in new flooring at our previous residence and, having moved within the last year and a half, we knew we'd use them again. We found a great flooring we loved! Jeff and Becky, as well as all employees, were super helpful. I had tons of questions since I was installing myself and Jeff was able to help me with all of them. I probably made him crazy with all the questions but you would never have known. When I picked up the material I needed to break it into smaller segments as my Tacoma couldn't quite handle it all in one trip. The employee in the back room (I can't remember his name...sorry!) broke the delivery into manageable truck loads and helped me load it each time. He was super helpful and I was very thankful for his hard work and kindness! It made my job transporting the flooring so much easier! We are planning on doing more interior renovations down the road and will definitely go back. The quality of service and quality of products is second to none. Thank you, Cherry City! I would recommend them to anyone looking to revamp the interior of their home!

We purchased tile from Cherry City for a remodeling project for our laundry room, half bath, guest bathroom and the master bathroom and shower stall. After looking at several of Salem's tile stores, we settled on Cherry City for two reasons. One, they had an excellent selection to choose from and two, Patrick offered design and selection options that matched what we were looking for in all four rooms. It would be more truthful, however, to say that we weren't sure what we were thinking, but when Patrick shared his vision, my wife and I said, 'Yes, that is the look we want. Then, we did not feel it right to take his ideas and buy elsewhere.
