A bit expensive and does not give any military or first-responder discount but other than that it was a very painless experience. Allison made the whole experience great. I wasnt sure what I needed so she had me take pictures of all my stuff and then she created a closet system tailor made for me. She made a diagram showing what items would go where, so I knew we had made the right choice. She did everything but put my stuff on the shelves LOL!!. She even helped me pick out a great color for my floor so the garage system matches the floor perfectly. Sloan the installer did a great job, worked neatly and quickly too.

Our California Closets experience was what I expected of the brand - high quality, professional and seamless! I was put in touch with Ellen Paytas from the Fairfield location who came to my condo to speak with me about our needs and take a look at the space. We did a small walk-in closet and two reach-ins, and she worked up a design based on what we'd wanted. Ellen was so great to work with, responsive and helpful with our questions, and made the process very easy. We are beyond thrilled with the quality of the closets and now, efficient use of the space. Sobner and Mike were careful, courteous and quick in their installation and I was surprised how easy the process was. Highly recommend it over some other closet systems (and I've tried others)!

Our designer Linda and the whole team are extremely professional and helpful. They helped us expand our storage space by three times in such an elegant way. The quality of the product is excellent, and, more importantly, the overall experience is definetely the best we have ever had! They paid attention to every tiny detail and got everything done perfectly (and efficiently)- our designer looked into every inch to fully address our needs; they would reach out to the building and reserve street parking in advance; and the installer carefully padded our floor and cleaned every corner before leaving. Very satisfied with this experience and will definetely come back. Highly recommended!

Everything was PERFECT from beginning to end. Allison was a dream to work with. She was thoughtful, creative and efficient. She was not at all "sales-y" and never pressured me. Even though we had the world's strangest issue (no fault of CC at all) after installation, it has already been resolved and we have only had our closet for 3 days!! Every home project should be this pleasant, fun and simple. UPDATE July 2018 What more can I say than my original review?! Initially, we had our master walk in closet done. We were so estatic with that, that we did our teen daughters teach in closet with bifold doors. Our final (sad) stint was 2 weeks ago when we excitedly did 3 more closets. 2 sliding door, reach ins and one more reach in with bifold doors. Each closet is designed slightly different, all specific to each child's needs. With 4 teenagers in our house, life gets very crowded and hectic. California Closets sure helped to make one small piece of our home pleasant, organized, dreamy and happy! Allison Pearce, our designer is an absolute GEM! She's a true listener, wonderful communicator and a masterful designer. ALL of our needs have been met because she is supremely skilled . Sean, our installer, is equally top notch He is friendly, very professional, efficient, respectful and highly skilled. Having Allison and Sean in my home was like having friends over for visits. I have recommended CC to my 2 sisters, a few friends and my mother. I cannot say enough to have about this company! Thank you everyone. I am sad my closets are completed and that my interactions are done. Maybe I will buy a new house to have more closets done!

Easy to work with. Finished product looks like it was custom built, but costs a lot less. Efficient design finally gave me space for everything I had been bringing up and down form attic and basement when seasons changed. I highly recommend theses folks.

I wanted replace bi-fold door with 3 panel sliding doors for my closet. I was a bit hesitant to call this company because they are for high-end residential. The rep came to measure my closet and helped me select material to fit in my budget. Installers were great, they visited again to make an adjustments. Their sliding doors is incredibly light-weight, moves so smooth, and great space saver.

I just recently ripped out my walk in closet and office in my house and had California Closet come in and install new beautifully designed wood cabinets and desk. Linda my salesperson came over, measured, designed, and spoke to my wife and self about cost. She gave us a really good deal and a great product. Linda was so easy to deal with and even came back to give us another estimate for our mud room and during the visit helped me hang some of my pants in my totally organized closet. Linda is a great designer with great storage ideas and works for a company that sells long lasting, quality products, California Closets.

Originally rated this 9 out of ten, mainly because they are expensive compared to other price quotes I received. I would rate them now a solid 10. Have had them about 1 year now and they still look like they were installed yesterday and the only issue I had were some slight adjustments to accommodate more items. The owner and the salesperson showed up to make sure I was totally satisfied. Yes, they are more expensive than many others but you actually get what you pay for with this company. No surprises. One last thing, 2 out of the 5 companies that gave me quotes have ceased doing business.

She was so professional and after talking with her she knew what we needed. She was able to show me what the closets we're going to look like before she left. Our closets were installed about three weeks later (originally it was supposed to be January!). The three gentlemen who arrived this past weekend were very professional and took pride in their work. We are thrilled with the results of all of our closets. (two master bedroom closets, Two children's rooms and Guest Room) We considered a DIY project and Pheww.... so happy that we investigated our options with California Closets. Our designer LINDA was terrific! Friendly and really knew her craft. She guided us with our options and was not aggressive in upgrades. We did go for some of the "bells and whistles" in the master closets - just enough to give them a little more "wow" - and functionality. MELISSA was our contact in scheduling install date. Communication was clear and consistent. The install team TOMMY and MATT were a pleasure. They were respectful, clean, efficient, pleasant, knew their craft and never stopped working. It was quite a project and the results are beautiful. The closets were completed last evening and today we will be putting in our personal items.....I almost do not want to mask any of the beautiful work and look of the closets with our clothes and shoes. We would not hesitate to call upon the team at California Closets if given another opportunity.

There were several problems with the closets after the installation, and getting them fixed has been extremely difficult and time consuming. The service department has a habit of ignoring phone messages and e-mails, taking long periods of time to get service visits scheduled, and not following up or following through. It's been an aggravating two-year process, and even after multiple visits to my home to make the needed repairs the closet installation still isn't correct.
