I had Angela Todd out to my new house because we had no idea how to decorate the house the way it should be done. After buying not one but 2 sets of couches that we had to sell afterward because they didn’t fit we called Angela. She came out with her staff and talked with us about our taste. Measured our house and came back a week or so later with the most amazing layout complete with color choices furniture lay out new furniture that would fit even cool stuff to place on the shelves to pull it all together. We now love the look of our new home and it actually feels more like home now so cozy and inviting. I have to say she is an absolute artist at what she does!!

Angela is a very intuitive designer. Her spaces evoke a timeless and classic style with a sense of history and a “story” behind the space that speaks of the client’s personality. When I look at her work, it somehow makes me want to meet the people who live there! One of Oregon’s best!

She is very dedicated to making everything go smoothly for her clients. I have known her to deliver a furniture item personally, when the shipping fell through, in order to get it to the client on time. That is really going the extra mile, and a sign of someone who really cares about you!

I had a great experience working with Angela on a custom home in Hood River between 2016 and 2017. Angela is always prompt, knowledgeable and an absolutely amazing eye for color and texture. Angela also has an unbelievable skill for sourcing materials, and a great breadth of connections to vendors and suppliers of various trades. She knows the design and construction process like the back of her hand and with this is extremely time conscious for the work flow of a general contractor. Angela was an irreplaceable benefit to the team and I would be honored to work with Angela and her team again in the future!

Angela and Ashley are fabulous and have wonderful energy and insight. Think "special mix of fire and passion, calm and confidence!" Here was the situation: Moving in to new (to us) home, needed to repaint much of the interior, completely overwhelmed with trying to choose colors. Angela's office manager keenly understood my plight and arranged a color consultation. Angela and Ashley met us in the empty house, looked at a few pictures we brought of our stuff, talked with us about our style and preferences (which they had to deduce since we hardly know ourselves!), and somehow chose absolutely the perfect colors for paint. We loved the colors then (almost a year ago) and we still love the colors now! This amazes me almost daily. They also ended up helping us choose some flooring (because again we were confused and indecisive) in very short order. Once again, the outcome was brilliant. We are "small fry" and I was intimidated to hire an interior designer, but I am very glad I found Angela and Ashley. They were professional and considerate even with our small job. We had a bad experience with Angela Todd Designs. We were working on a home remodel and Angela assured us she could help us plan it out, figure out a time table, prioritize which jobs would be done first etc. I think that these big projects maybe aren’t her forte but she didn’t tell us that. She marketed herself as someone who could help us figure out the whole project. But she charges by the hour and hour after hour of work went by without a plan coalescing. She passed our project onto an employee, the employee squandered time that we still had to pay for, and her designing fees were sucking so much money away from the project that we had to stop paying her and pay for the work needing to be done instead. After many thousands of dollars given to her, we got almost no useable work for our final project. Given that her employee didn’t do a very good job and was let go without us being aware of it, it would have been so gracious of Angela to offer us a refund or offer to continue helping us for free or at a discount. We did not receive either courtesy. We’ve been continuing to work on the project for the last year and every time we pull up one of her designs to base our decisions on, we find it woefully incomplete and have to start from scratch. In her contract though, there’s no out for this situation. Her wage is hourly and there are not refunds offered for work that’s not satisfactory. She was a wonderful person who seemed really knowledgeable, but I think her pricing structure was a little predatory, especially as we were first time renovators who really needed professional help and felt like we lost so much in this transaction.

My wife insisted that she wanted the walls in our house to be a color other than white. I now have to admit that there is more to selecting colors for a house than just slapping some paint on the walls. Enter, Angela Todd. She consulted with my wife, extracted the concept she desired and made it a reality for us. The colors my wife wanted were smartly selected in the proper shade to bring the right feeling and energy to each space. Without Angela we would not have been happy with our paint colors and likely would have spent a ton of extra money and time repainting several, if not all, rooms in the house. Thank you, Angela for helping us do it right the first time and for making our house a home!
