After we decided to repaint all the rooms in our home, my husband and I were unable to choose colors. We were paralyzed by all the choices and felt like we were drowning in paint chips. So we hired Jodi to help us. She came to our home for a three-hour consultation. She walked around our home and listened to us, and then systematically walked us from room to room and made suggestions for colors. She also helped us with furniture placement and sent us suggestions for some stores and suppliers that she trusts. Now that the paint is on the walls, we are thrilled with the choices. Jodi helped us select colors that complement each other from room to room. She informed us about trends but didn't pressure us to be trendy. I highly recommend her. Her advice was worth every penny!

She came in and asked all the right questions to get a feel of what our style and preferences were. She offered much needed expert advice. I’m not creative at all and she gave me so many suggestions that I would have never thought of on my own. At the end of the session I had an organized list of paint colors and a chronological list of things to do that I would have never been able to come up with on my own. If, like me, you have thought about hiring a professional decorator but have been hesitant, intimidated (or on a budget), look no further! I hired Jodi to give me design advice in turning what was a disaster of a living room (aka catchall/junk room) into a home office/piano room. My budget was limited and I did not want to replace furniture or make major changes. Being unable to visualize things and having made many mistakes in the past, I was afraid to make any design decisions on my own. Jodi helped me with design decisions I could implement myself on my own timetable and within my budget. She identified my style and tastes and created a road map for me to follow that included paint colors, ideas for decor, furniture arrangement, etc., and explained things along the way. She made suggestions about places to shop locally and online and things to consider in making choices. Jodi is very easy to talk to and work with and I felt no pressure whatsoever to do anything I was not ready to do. I was very happy with the experience and recently consulted with her again for help in selecting paint colors for my family room. Decorating was always a chore before but the process has become great fun!

We had Jodi come to our home to help us pick paint colors for the entire house. Right away, Jodi was able to determine the color palette that we seemed to like by the art and objects we were displaying. She was extremely knowledgeable on color tones and undertones, and educated us on the proper way to sample paint colors in different areas of the house and at different times of the day. She also gave us painting contractor information from a reputable painter that she trusts. I came across the Decor Coach through Houzz while looking for a color consultant. I am not normally overwhelmed by choosing a paint color but my two story foyer had me overwhelmed. I didn't want to paint it twice because of choosing the wrong color! I called Jodi and setup a 2 hour appointment to help me choose colors for my foyer, kids play room and the living room. She gave me ideas for decorating the spaces as well. I had enough time left to have her give me ideas on my master bedroom. I had already painted it but I wasn't in love with the color. She helped me choose a color for my bedroom as well! I will be setting up another appointment once the painting is done to help me complete the finishing touches! Jodi was super affordable and worth every penny! She saved me from painting one room I had already bought the paint for. The room would have ended up bright, I mean highlighter yellow bright!

We found The Decor Coach while searching for an interior designer in Apex. Dozens of 5 star reviews caught our eye, but the coaching service and flat rate pricing on the website got us to reach out. Just one coaching session saved us hours of frustration and potentially thousands of dollars in well-intentioned mistakes… Within 3 hours we had selected a luxury vinyl plank floor, a color palate for the entire house and next steps for our kitchen and 3 bathrooms (oh, and how to bring our floor-to-ceiling brick fireplace into this century) . Jodi is professional, approachable, experienced, and passionate about helping people. She put our family first, identified our style and provided a holistic strategy for focusing our budget on the highest impact improvements. It has been an empowering experience and we will use Decor Coach at every phase of our home improvements from now on.

She was thoughtful and creative in her suggestions and always asked our input as well. Jodi allowed my husband and I to see our home in a new light. I get so frustrated and overwhelmed with choosing paint colors, trying new furniture arrangements and just achieving the look I want in my home.
