These guys seem content to lose a large sale and have a very dissatisfied potential customer. On Wednesday I visited the store, ordered 3 bedroom sets, as dining room table and chairs and sectional sofa. Salespeople were very helpful, but because it was late in the evening could not get credit application through. No problem, they said they would run it the next day. (820 credit score incidentally....)
I said that would be fine and made arrangements with the salespeople to come down on Saturday and pick up one of the bedroom sets, the couch and dining room set. The remainder of the furniture I would come back and pick up when it arrived in store the following Wednesday, which was fine because it was too much to get in one trip.
Saturday morning, drive an hour and a half (one way, towing a trailer) arrive at the store and add three mattress sets to the other purchases. I find my original salespeople to finish the credit app and pick the furniture as planned and they can't complete the credit application, saying that I need to wait for a card to be mailed to me! I have a truck in the parking lot, ready to load furniture after driving an hour and a half one way, only to be turned around and sent back empty! I planned this out, confirmed with the salespeople which items would be available for me to pick up and instead left empty handed!
As it was, I only brought about $3000 in cash with me because the salespeople assured me that we could complete the credit app and I could take the furniture with me. I have literally wasted most of a Saturday with nothing to show for it.
So what do you think American? I'm a repeat customer (or would have been) as I've previously bought a living room set and bedroom set from you. Is this company going to make things right or am I going to be screwed over by American and give Ashley my current and future business?
