We received the Wrong mattress!!

We bought a sectional and the salesman said he would contact us within 3 days to schedule delivery. He never called us; we had to call him. It took 18 days for a missing part to even arrive at their store. AFTER that, they didn't schedule delivery for another 3 days, while the sectional was just sitting in their store. 3 weeks! We were without any furniture the entire time. Very disappointed in the customer service we received.

Found a set of chairs and a table for my patio that matches a set I bought a few years back at a very good price. The clearance center has nice items at good prices. The location is easy to walk around in, arranged in sections of similar furnishings so you can compare. They have a good selection and very nice staff that doesn't stalk you for your entire visit.

He was so courteous and helpful during the purchase of some patio furniture, I asked for him again when I decided to make a second major purchase. He went out of his way to find me a piece of furniture that was no longer available in any of the stores and arranged to have it shipped so I could have everything I wanted to complete my grouping. The first purchase ended up not working out because I bought a 'portion' of a sectional (chase & loveseat portion). Once delivered I noticed that there was hardware & no fabric on the side of loveseat (where it connects to the rest of a sectional). What? I had no idea about that & couldn't believe my salesperson knew it would be that way but did not mention it. Returned it!! Purchased a different couch & am very happy with it.. (I should mention that their prices are not necessarily "discount". I saw the exact same couch for the exact same price at American Home Furniture.) There is No pressure from sales people. Delivery guys were really awesome! They were at my house 3 times total-- delivery of 1st sectional, returning it, & delivery of final couch. Every time they came they were either exactly on time or even a bit early! They were so professional & helpful.. I am 99% pleased with this store overall. BTW- there's an area at the very back of the store called "Dock something" with furniture that people returned. I purchased a box spring for ½ price! It had been returned simply because it was "too high" for their bed. Deal! I would definitely recommend this store!!!

I was looking for items for a basement living area and guest bedroom. After being greeted by the salesperson. We spoke and something strange happened....HE ACTUALLY LISTENED to what my needs were. I was very impressed with the way they didn't try an up-sell me or show my things that were outside of my budget. I have to say that this furniture shopping experience was totally different than any other I've had. I'm about 99% sure I won't shop at another furniture store again! BUYER BEWARE. The clearance and outlet center is in the back of the store. The items seem like a good price but are not returnable. Many pieces are USED and RETURNED items. I was told that the sectional I bought was returned because it did not fit in the home of the previous purchaser. After sitting on it for a couple of days, I realize it was more likely returned because it is UNCOMFORTABLE. Regretting my purchase :(

Want to feel like your swimming in a pool with a bunch of sharks? Go shopping here. One staff member after another approaches, thinking they smell blood or money. Then they constantly swim around your periphery - eyeing you. Occasionally they come in for an exploratory bump to offer some unwanted info on a piece of furniture you may have set your hand on. Always with a false sharks smile. Not to mention that much of the furniture her is sweat factory junk of poor quality and craftsmanship.

Good selection of furniture but the financing sucks. I wasn't told about the terms of the financing when buying something. So when I went to pay off my couch they just keep saying that's "our leasing program." They jacked up my price now. Now I have to find a different financing option to pay it off from them. Charge me almost 100% interest. But that's just their "leasing program." I will never buy anything from this place ever again.

One of the things we liked best about our experience is that American actually carries stock in their warehouse here, so you don't have to wait months for stuff to be delivered from Outer Mongolia or wherever this stuff is manufactured and shipped by slow boat (like another store in town who will remain nameless!) Our new bed frame is gorgeous and the cabinet we bought (which we knew was distressed) came at a great price and they even threw in free delivery....good people! Thanks! P.S. The delivery guys, Phil & Phil were terrific! Showed up when they said they would and worked quickly, quietly and efficiently to construct our bed frame.

What a great experience. Tom greeted us at the sofas and immmediately knew what we were looking for. Professional, attentive to our needs and no pressure tactics. We found something we really liked, but not exactly what we wanted. No pressure but great info. Went back a couple days later and had narrowed our decision to the item at American or one at another furniture store. We wandered around the store and found the item we really wanted in the Back Door section of the clearance section. I immediately went to find Tom who was waiting unobtrusively. When I mentioned we had found the one we really wanted, he let us know he had to give the sale to another sales person since it was out of his area. He introduced us to Jeremy and we purchased the sectional from Jeremy who handled the rest of the sale with ease and professionalism . Tom never showed his dissapointment in losing the sale to another salesperson and showed complete professionalism and only concern for our complete satisfaction. If you are looking for furniture, look for Tom at American Furniture Outlet. Tom all will make sure you are well taken care of as well as all the team there.

American Home Furniture has a large and varied selection to choose from. After looking at many other places, I found a dining room table and chairs, a sofa bed, and two side tables for the living room. I love my new furniture, the two salesmen I worked with at the Albuquerque stores were extremely nice and helpful, and the delivery men were extremely nice and amazingly efficient. A few months ago I bought a set of patio furniture at the Santa Fe store and that experience was equally delightful.

Just moved to New Mexico two weeks ago. Building a home at Jubilee in Los Lunas. Visited American Home Furniture Outlet today for the first time. Salesman, Justin, was very helpful, personable, and friendly. We ended up buying a pub table and chairs, a loveseat with 2 seats that recline, 2 tables, 2 chairs, and a large painting. Have spent $$$$ at their Santa Fe Store, now we have a proble with a 2 year old $2k couch and they have turned their backs on us. What would be an easy, inexpensive fix for them is a difficult one for us. Flex Steel product at that - shows that even when you think you are buying a good brand, it doesn't really mean anything. Flex Steel and American Furniture are all about the sale, not about the customers. STAY AWAY and spend your hard-earned $$ somewhere where they really care about their customers.

What a fun place to visit! This store reminds me of a vintage Ikea circa 1980. It's pretty drab and has a "dusty without being dusty" kinda feel to it, but somehow that just works and makes this place an EXPERIENCE. There's selection of furniture items and some really great deals. We managed to snag a great deal on a new mattress, foundation, and bed frame - all for about $1,000.

Don King rock's. You won't meet a more helpful, knowledge salesman. He's patient and takes as long as you need. I've been there 3x and 1x with someone else and I felt rushed. I always felt I was making the right choices and Don had suggestions that are helpful. All in all I'm pleased and will go back. Soon actually. There's a table in the, "as is", area that will be perfect for my kitchen island.

Bought a computer desk and it's very beautiful and sturdy per the show room, but the only problem is that they do not install it! For someone like me and my husband who usually don't build things like this ourselves becaise we don't know what we're doing especially the fact that we have jobs and have to take probably more then a day to pit this together. We are afraid we are going to break a pierce especially the one that needs to be drilled because we are not professionals at this and we don't know what the hell we are doing there are so many parts here. You guys really need to reasses the options for installing the desk for a customer especially when they are not comfortable doing a task like this, i work in a hospital so it's like if u went to the hospital to get checked up and I walk in and said ok go ahead and grab your own vitals! More then likely going to take it back and find something simpler from a different place

We bought $1500 worth of furniture there this weekend. While assembling, we realized two of the drawer handles for the dresser where welded improperly and would not screw into the drawer. My husband took the handles back this morning for a simple exchange and the customer service representative informed him that he would need to bring back the entire dresser and pick-up a brand new dresser. My husband offered to simply exchange the two pieces of hardware from the floor model and they said no. We asked that they deliver it to us since it was no fault of our own and they said no. My husband had to go home and load up the dresser and bring it back and exchange for another dresser. When he spoke with the person at the pick-up area he said he would have gladly exchanged just the hardware had he been aware of the situation. Really American Home Furnishing? Next time we will take our business down the street to Ashley Furniture.

That was ideal, as we prefer to work with local businesses. She kept in touch, and made certain that we had delivery information plus every other thing we needed to know. After dealing with an unfortunate situation elsewhere, we decided to shop around and eventually gave American Furniture Outlet a look. We were pleasantly surprised by the selection and Tom, our salesman, was right on the money. He didn't shadow and try to push us into anything. He asked what we were looking for and what we wanted and let us look around. When it came time to ask questions he was readily available. We needed to take some measurements to ensure what we were looking at would fit. Tom was understanding and gave us his direct number to contact him when we were ready. Once we were he processed the order via phone and everything was quick and easy. We were told a delivery date for everything which was within the week, very impressive. We even called to add an additional piece a few days later and he was able to get it in with the original order and delivery date. We have received all our pieces on the quoted delivery date and my wife and I couldn't be happier. Its safe to say that American Home Furniture outlet knows what they are doing, and have earned our future business.

I was shopping for a mattress and asked Anthony at the store to show me what they had in the "Back Dock" area, which has discontinued, as-is, and discounted items. He found a Tempur-pedic king mattress for me that had been discontinued. It was new in the box: originally about $4000, but had been marked down to $728! I am so happy with the mattress and with the deal I got! The back dock is not open every day of the week, so call before you go if you want to check it out. The store is large and has a wide selection of furniture and rugs. It's a great place!

I went in to look at bedroom furniture for my teenager. I had 2 kids in tow and was welcomed by Eddie Greer. He was very friendly and professional. He was knowledgeable about all the bedroom sets and helped us pick out a very nice set. I ended up having a conflict with the delivery time and called him in a panic. After telling him my situation he worked on making the delivery time more convenient. I would highly recommend the store and Eddie! A+++ Service

Hadn't been here in awhile but I wasn't missing anything. It says it's a clearance center but I think the prices are really high. Some of the furniture is really nice but still not worth the prices. I have found just as nice things cheaper online. Also, service was not great, they never asked us if we needed help. Oh well...People have different tastes so this might be the store for you. Very pleased with our experience at American Furniture Outlet & Clearance Center. Frankie did an excellent job of helping us find the right furniture for us. We didn't make a purchase our first couple of times in the store, but Frankie was still just as professional and courteous every time. We came back after we'd decided on an item and Frankie was right there to make the purchase as painless as possible.

I was looking for an inexpensive end table, but this place seemed rather expensive compared to ordering one online from say Home Depot. They had one for $40, but it was falling apart. The salespeople were attentive, but this is a clearance center yet I got sticker shock.

Our furniture was scheduled for delivery on the 1st (today) I hadn't received a confirmation so I called. I was told they're waiting on one piece. I wish somebody called me and let me know, setting expectations is huge. I went into the store to see if anything in stock was appealing without success. While there the manager discounted my purchase which explains 2 stars instead of 1. I was also told not to trust delivery dates unless the item is in stock. Seems like a flaw in there logistics management. I kept my order open, but if i find something available sooner elsewhere, I'll jump on it. If the issue resolves quickly, i may add another star.
