First let me say that I would give Home Interior Warehouse 10 stars if I could!!! My story: recently, I had an addition built onto the back of my house that included a new family room, kitchen, butler's pantry, breakfast room, screened in porch and master bathroom. Well, I have hired many interior designers before, but I was hesitant to hire any of them again because none of them successfully made me feel at home in my house. No matter how I told them that something was just out of whack, I was told that it looked good and that I should leave it. When a friend recommended that I check out Home Interior Warehouse, I thought I'd check it out. When I walked in, I was just blown away! Gorgeous items from top to bottom. But, at the time, I really thought that I would never know how to assemble them all together. I had a list that was a mile long of things I needed to get done, and I was at a loss for how to do it. How would my house ever look as gorgeous as this store!? Well, we were in a bit of a rush, so my builder told me to select cabinet style, color, countertop color, paint colors, backsplash, hard wood floor color, and mudroom floor color all in a matter of a week!!! I started to get very anxious and was confident that I could NOT get it all done. (Keep in mind, I own my own company and have 2 school-aged children.) Not only was I unsure of what to do first (do cabinets come before granite, or vice-versa?), I was also unsure of my style preferences too! And, paint colors for all of the walls, forget about it! My brain couldn't take all of the decisions. I was so worried that I'd make a ton of mistakes. I knew, without help, this would cost me a fortune!!! Well, Jackie Schwartz and Home Interior Warehouse were the answer to all of my design problems. Jackie started with the floor color, cabinet (style and color), then wall color, countertops, then backsplash and then finalized all of the other items (fixtures, couches, tables, lamps, rugs, accessories, etc.) until every little item was absolutely perfect!! Note: I only gave her two requests: I asked for a beach home with some kind of coral and blue, and she pulled together the whole color palette with those two ideas. She has that special something; she isn't pushy, but she's confident. She is so good at what she does that even when she encouraged me to get something that I wasn't sure I'd love, I said: "Ok, let's just get it and see!" and, in my house, it looked FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Pics to come later!!) I recall sitting in the room, with all the new furniture in it, drinking a glass of wine, and thinking -- for once in my life, I won't be ashamed to have people over! I can finally have an open house! And a book club meeting here too! I now feel VERY PROUD of my new house and, when I'm away from it, I want to run home TO it! Jackie is calm, kind, patient, and EXCEPTIONALLY gifted at what she does. For example: as I mentioned above, I've had so many designers try to move furniture around my living room, but something was always just a wee bit off. Jackie notices everything. I never quite felt that my living room was finished, but I simply could not articulate it. Well, Jackie came in and gave one look at the fireplace (in all it's chipped red brick 1942 glory) and said: "we need to paint that." Sure enough, one coat of paint to complement my coral and beige colors, muted the background, warmed the room right up, and made it all come together!! Oh, and lest I forget, my house is in BETHESDA, MD, not in Detroit!! So, don't let geography stop you from using Jackie and HIW! Jackie -- I just love you. I just want to thank you for everything you've done for me to give me the home of my dreams. When I sit in my gorgeous Elegant Coastal home (love that term!), or dine at my snazzy dining table with my sparkling, crystal candlesticks, I will forever be thinking about you, and thanking you!!!!!!! And, I'll be calling you when we do our basement! (You're on speed dial now!)

All those special designer touches you love when you go into a show home this fabulous group brings into your home. Great store...my favorite furniture I have in my house is from this store. I don't know of another furniture and home design store like this in the area. I have dealt with Mike, Jackie, the two owners, and Kelly, and have been treated exceptionally well. You get what you pay for here, it is not the cheapest stuff you can find, but the quality for the price is extraordinary. I would recommend this store to anyone looking to find stuff for their home that is not the cookie cutter Art Van or Gardner White mass produced products. If nothing else, take a walk around their showroom, and you will be inspired with all types of ideas for your house.

After two years I our new home we finally decided to get professional help to pull everything together. For less than $200 (don't recall exact amount) we had a consultation at our home and Colleen went to work on furniture layout, wall art, new furniture, accessories, rugs and even bedding to complete the look in the bedroom. Meetings were on time and communications was great. Would highly recommend.

Recently, I hired Darlene to design the decor and furniture layout in my new condo. I wanted it to look upscale and chic, yet homey, not cold. I also wanted it to look like it was designed....like a show model. I must say, Darlene helped do exactly that. I couldn't be happier. At first, I was skeptical, as she wasn't here long and I wasn't sure she was really into it. Like it was just a job. But, I was wrong!!! She really cares and really took the time to answer my every question. She also showed me various options and has great passion for what she does. It was a pleasure working with her. In summary, the service was worth much more than what she charged and the furniture and decor (paintings, sculptures, etc) in the store is top notch, while being reasonable in price. Thanks Darlene!

Jaclyn Kruse and all the people at Home Interior Warehouse are amazing! I bought a condo earlier this year and needed complete furnishings for most rooms. Jaclyn came over, measured and took pictures. She spent time with me, learned my taste and then went to work. I travel quite often on business so we communicated via email and text. She narrowed down choices for me and sent pictures and information regularly. The process was easy and efficient. My condo looks amazing and I love all of the designer touches and details that Jaclyn suggested. I trust her - she has a wonderful style and is very easy and pleasant to work with.
