I love their furniture and have experienced nothing but the best customer service. I've spent loads of money, on multiple orders through the past 3-4 years. If you're patient to wait for your furniture (stocked and custom orders can take several weeks, or even months to deliver) they deliver a great product. I've had several items custom made that were dropped off at the wrong house (UPS or FedEx mistakes), and immediately they shipped me replacement products, no questions asked. Although it's expensive it's a quality product. Their customer service has been great to deal with, even when scheduling deliveries or working to correct mishaps! I won't hesitate to recommend them.

What unethical dirt bags. Bonded leather soaked in chemicals. Recalls for lead contamination. Great at taking money bad at delivering as promised. The stuff they sell is very poorly made and instantly makes the good things they are copying cliches. Liars and cheats. Unless you want your home to look like every other one of their numerous victims. Avoid this spider web.

Wonder why RH doesn’t have ratings on their website? They don’t want you to know how badly you are truly getting ripped off. We thought we were investing in our couches when we bought them from here and that they would last a long time and age well, dead wrong. We had several deliveries of damaged or poor quality product and by several I mean seven! We finally got an acceptable set in July and within a couple weeks the leather seat cover had shifted over the cushion and not matter how many times we try to correct it and fluff the cushions it still looks cheap. We are a family of 3 with no pets and we do not eat on the couch. The stitching frayed and just over all the couches have not held up for $7k couches. We requested a partial refund and had to fight tooth and nail plus escalate it to corporate, because the store manager was rude and unwilling to help, to get a resonable discount. Don’t waste your money or time, my sister bought couches from RC willey for thousands les, has had them for years, has two kids, 3 small dogs, and a couple of cats and their couches have held up so much better than ours.

We have really enjoyed working with Restoration Hardware. Everyone at the RH store in San Francisco and Palo Alto has been very helpful and attentive. We have been updating our San Francisco Condo and had requested some design recommendations. Both Lauren, the manager, in San Francisco and Anita, the design consultant in Palo Alto, have made excellent suggestions and have been very thoughtful in considering our needs. Lauren has gone above and beyond in accommodating our requests and has made sure that we have been happy with our decisions. Ryan, Lauren's assistant, and the other individuals working at both stores have been friendly and accommodating. We have been very happy to have chosen Restoration Hardware to furnish our home in San Francisco.

I'd be OK just moving into Restoration Hardware. Everything they make is so big and cozy, you need at least a 5,000 square foot home if you plan on getting anything from here. It's not for the small walleted either. This place gets pricey. But everything is of a great quality, so if it's something that you can afford, you should do it...and know that you'll make me jealous. Apparently now they're changing their entire business model and are doing more of a modern design theme where you pay an interior designed to decorate your space, and they pass along a 20 percent discount on any furniture purchased directly through Restoration Hardware. This is where I come when I feel a lack of motivation at work, and need to become inspired as to why I work 60 hours a week...the reason? Because I want a freaking $10,000 couch from Restoration Hardware.

I'm a huge fan of RH in general—it's nice stuff, probably not made to last forever like handmade furnishings but I like the style and finishes for a retail-level purchase. Meanwhile, this location is completely ridiculous. They've loosely filled the space with two or three styles on repeat (mostly RH modern) so you can't actually see the vast majority of RH products here. Every time I've come by to look for something the salesperson pulls up an ipad to "show" me a product. Yes, I have the internet! I came here to look at your products IRL.

Awful. Buying the couch was no problem... but you have to go in person to pay because they don't have an online or over the phone system. But when the couch arrived the connectors on the bottom did not align and the store management was like "yeah we didn't connect them in the store either and we won't help you with that"... and then wouldn't help me fix them. Such a ridiculous policy given the connectors are a core feature of the 8k couch I just bought. Absolute pain and they were so rude.

We have been delighted, consistent customers of Restoration Hardware for many years. However, after a recent experience with RH online we will likely not buy again. We purchased six sheet metal planters for our foyer covered on three sides, 4 years ago for an average of $150 each. Today we returned home to their having collapsed from rust. After calling RH and speaking with two supervisors we were told that this is to be expected and a natural occurrence with no redress. This is to say that after spending nearly $1000 for planters they are expected to last four years. So much for standing behind your products.

I agree about the delivery and the quality issues. But they will make good on defective merchandise. It just takes forever. Same with Pottery Barn because they are the same company. It's too bad that everything is made so cheaply. Along with a sofa and a arm chair, we ordered six dinning room table chairs. Two had to be returned and replaced, which took a month, and today we saw scratches from the legs of the chairs on our hardwood floors. China uses cheap "nail in" plastic caps. So cheap that the plastic wore off in only 4 months and the nail heads came through and scratched up our hickory floors really badly. I replaced everyone of then with felt but now I'm looking for something I can do about the scratches. Looks like a five year old child let loose with a crayon on a wall. Next time I buy furniture I'm saving until I can buy substance.

I would not recommend anyone purchase a restoration hardware leather couch if you have children, animals, blue jeans with metal tabs, fingernails, or any clothes that have metal attachments . I purchased a distressed leather couch in February of 2017 and the couch has now been destroyed by October 2017. I have two small cats and a family. Merely touching the leather causes damage. I have never seen anything like it. We had a leather couch for 10 years and didn't have any scratches. My animals do not use this couch as a scratching post. They are 10 pound cats. The damage they did was from getting on and off of the couch. Dog owners should run! This will be your nightmare as well. Restoration Hardware sells something called leather CPR. This product is designed to reduce the appearance of scuffs and scratches. I applied this to even the lightest scratches and saw no difference. This does not reduce the appearance of scratches. I called restoration hardware about my experience. I worked with a representative named Patience. She was very understanding and easy to work with but unfortunately restoration hardware determined they could not help me. Patience went to management a second time and requested someone help me. They then stated they would comp shipping if I wanted to purchase another couch... I will obviously not be purchasing another couch after I have already spent around 5k this year on the couch that lasted less than a year. To make matters worse I heard someone in the background mocking me as I got off of the phone. This is an extremely disappointing experience.

I drool over this place. I don't like mass retail generally, but I can't help myself on this one. One time, when I had a hard day at work, I went to RH just to sit in peace. I find it as calming as a spa wait room. The employees have always been respectful and helpful as well. Bonus-- apparently, people can even buy the gorgeous furniture. ;)

Ordered a media cabinet earlier this year and received it 4 months later. While I like the piece we purchased, I will likely not purchase from RH again due to very poor service from the local delivery company. Once the furniture arrived in my town, it took 2 weeks to arrive at my home. I paid $150 for the delivery scheduled to arrive by 6pm. The delivery service arrived at 9pm. Paying RH prices and waiting for 4+ months, paying a premium for delivery for very poor service will make me look elsewhere for future purchases.

I bought a Belgian Track Arm Slipcovered sofa on March 29, 2017. It was delivered to my apt in early April. The delivery people were awesome. They very carefully moved sofa and unwrapped the packaging and took with them. I liked the linen, but paid the extra money for the Perennials fabric because it is easier to spot clean if stained. After all this is their outdoor fabric of choice. They told me it can have a brushed appearance with wear. Within 2 weeks of delivery it wasn't a brushed appearance, but pilling on every surface that is touched when sitting on a sofa. The bottom cushion was the worst! I took pictures and went to the store in Los Gatos. They told me someone would call me, because the person in charge of returns wasn't in that day. So I got a call the next day and was told this is normal wear and tear! The couch was a month old at this point. There are only 2 people that live in my apartment. This was not normal wear and tear. It is cheap fabric! The options I was offered was to buy a new slip cover if I didn't like the one I bought with the sofa, shave the pilling off or I could return the sofa and receive 50% of the cost back because it is a special order item. If you check the website they have this material available on all their sofas, even the ones available for quick ship. I paid $3,800 for this sofa. I also spoke to a few different customer service employees, with the same options offered to me. Very disappointed in Restoration Hardware and their effort to do the right thing for the customer when a product is defective. I recommend never shopping here unless you like cheap furniture for a huge price. Go to Walmart, you might get better quality for a lot less!

I want to "ditto" the comments on here. Wonderful service in store, and I'm very excited for the table BUT after saving up for this for two years and getting rid of my dining room table and re-arranging our schedule, we are currently in the delivery window and they called to tell us they are not coming. They want to come during the day BUT WE WORK TOO. So, now it's going to be another week that we HOPE it will come. They had no way to re-mediate the situation. We are just out of luck. Just FYI for future buyers.

Terrible corporation with zero social / environmental responsibility (10 pounds catalogues sent arount) and semi-criminal membership techniques (no notice of renewal, charging credit cards). Salesperson lied when getting membership and said it was 1 year only - then they charged for another year or two. Quality of goods also went down in the last 4-5 years.

The staff is great, unlike a previous reviewer I called and asked specifically what outdoor tables were available and I received exact information including prices and condition. They held the item for two hours and I went and purchased. I have purchased many many many items from this outlet over the years. Always helpful staff and great bargains. But you need to know what your looking at and inspect carefully.

I've placed an order in-store in early January of this year for a robe that I was expecting to receive in May. It is now June, and, not only have I not received my item, but I can no longer have the option to receive it as the product will continuously be delayed. I received a notice in May letting me know that the item would be a week late. However, after 3 weeks of not hearing from RH, I contacted a representative who assured me it would ship at the end of that week. I waited another 2 weeks only to find out that the product had more delays estimated to last another 6 months. Why was I not kept in the loop regarding that extreme delay? Why was I not told that the item could have a lot more delay than a 4 months wait, as it is apparently a common thing for fabric? I am very disappointed in this company, having expressed it, to the RH customer service agents, they were not even able to compensate my inconveniences with a discount, or offer of another robe free of charge. I'm extremely disappointed having had waited over 6 months with still no product no robe. I will never shop at RH again, and encourage others to do the same. Had their customer service been a bit more flexible and proactive, things may have panned out differently.

I fell in love with the Maxwell couch at RH, but after reading dozens of online reviews the themes were: sagging frame and frumpy cushions within 1-3 years. I asked the salesperson about this, and she said they changed the construction of their sofas, but these reviews were after those changes. She said she'd email me a follow up response to this concern and I never heard back from her, although I did get an email with the price quote of my sofa were I to buy it. Discouraged with RH, I went to a local custom sofa building shop here in SLC. He had beautiful sofas to sit on in the store and they were marvelous - I fell in love. He said he had reupholstered a RH maxwell sofa and they use particle board and soft wood, like pine, rather than hard woods in their frames. They also use the cheapest quality foam in their cushions. He uses hard woods and the highest quality fillings. I'd take this as a sales pitch except this lines up with the reviews I'd read. He said their leathers were good, but if put over a low quality frame and cushion, the couch won't hold up. He stands by his product offering an "as long as you own the couch" warranty on the frame and cushions, AND a 5 year warranty on the fabrics. So if my kid jumps on the couch and breaks something, it's covered for as long as I own the couch, and if my kid takes a pen to the fabric & I can't get it out, he'll replace the cushion. RH obviously has no such warranty. The salespeople at RH don't know their product - I asked how many "rubs" their fabric ran at, this is the standard way of comparing fabric durability - 15,000 rubs is low use residential, 55,000 and up is high use residential. She said "oh very very high," and I retorted, "So like in the 5,000 range?" "Oh yes." In other words she had no idea what she was talking about. The local custom building shop also had a 4-6 week estimated delivery, as opposed to 3-4 months with RH. (On line RH says 45-60 days, but when I actually went to place the order with the salesperson she "warned" me that it was more likely 3-4 months.) Local shop had 10,000 fabric options, compared to 140 at RH. The local shop could completely customize the size and dimensions of the couch down to the inch - so it will fit perfectly and was literally sized to my husband's exact height. And the cost? RH would have been $7,116 for the features I wanted on a sectional. The local guy? The exact same couch, but better materials, $4,200, INCLUDING delivery and the warranty. Seriously, people, go local. Better value, better options, better service. Don't get sucked in by fancy marketing.

This is interior design paradise. I love this store, unique in SF and anywhere else. I knew I wanted to buy something from the store as soon as I walked in, have been a fan of RH for a while but this store is just the best representation of the brand. Other stores in the area are not as dedicated to customer service and flexible, but the staff at RH was super friendly and helpful. I love their catalogues and the best thing is that there are made from recycled paper and only shipped upon your request once a year. I can't wait to do my next purchase here... design wonderland.

Ordered a secional Italian leather couch. In store they only carry sofas (not sectionals) and only in largest size (that wont fit in our living room) so we took a chance and ordered $9000 sectional without seeing it. Quality is crap. Looks like something i would buy from Wal Mart or Target for $500 just with really nice leather. Sew seams have frayed stitching and pieces of sectional do not line up very good plus there is 1-2 inch gaps between pieces after they are attached. The white glove delivery setup crew the store raved about was 2 people who couldn't speak English. They destroyed couch getting it in door then scratched my brand new hardwood floor i just installed the week before. I called the next day to return sectional and thought everything went well. Until 5days later when delivery company still had not setup pick up date. Finally i called delivery company to find out RH never notified them of pick up. 2 weeks later i still have this ugly sectional still in my house. I will never shop RH again.

Mixed Feelings about Restoration Hardware, love their items but everything we ordered took months to get and the dates got pushed back from their original time, the salvaged wood dining table that may or may not be actual savaged wood from England Finally arrived and looks great the only advice I would give restoration hardware is after they bring it in and set it up to make sure they take off the, "Made In China Sticker." It made our custom table seem not so custom.

Last year we bought some beautiful Christmas decorations from the showroom. This year they aren't selling any small items, just a design gallery- no big deal. They directed me to the website to shop for the decorations; all good. Today was 13 days after the order and I finally received a notification that the items shipped. Not only that, but I received a phone call that several of the items actually were not in stock and that they wouldn't be stocking those items again. The representative gave a cold apology but no other offer, discount or compensation for the inconvenience. Restoration Hardware isn't a small company and in my opinion this was not acceptable. It's not hard to have a website that can manage inventory. In a day where small, local businesses are trying very hard to win the deal, I'd much rather take my business to them, get similar quality items and far superior service.

The sales associates are super snoody and prideful. They quote you a reasonable price and then change it at check out and only then explain that the original deal they were offering was for "members only" and then explain members pay $100 a year for those "deals" lol don't waste your time here unless you've spent 2 hours on makeup and hair alone and are ready to buy the store, otherwise they won't treat you with any dignity. Oh yeah I forgot to mention they laugh at you and make you feel stupid for asking simple questions. I'll never set foot back in that store again.

I called this place in advance to see what outdoor furniture they had, in advance of driving the 30 mins. I was told by a younger sounding man they had a lot of things. When I arrived I witnessed very few, piece meal items. I was specific over the phone that I was looking for sofa sets. When I remarked on this to a female employee she had no response but to walk away. A nice man named Mike/mark came over to speak to me and as nice as he was the fact that I got incorrrect info which made me take time from my busy day, was completely negated. I asked who I spoke to over the phone and was told, “I have no idea.” How do you not know what what employers were just in, in the morning. I would never come back based upon that and the fact that the offerings are haphazard, piece meal and nothing at all special. Potential customer lost. Theses employees could literally care less about selling or appeasing clients. My question is, why do they work in retail?

Not only is everyone welcoming their they're very knowledgeable with the items/products. If the store doesn't carry the item they will get on their computer with you and order it. Keep in mind when an item is in the store and you are in love with it it's a great time to purchase it because it won't be there for long.

Purchased over $7200 in custom window coverings for customer. 2 pieces (price $990.04) had manufacturing defects: RH Customer Service ignores my requests for expediting exchange, offers nothing in the way of customer compensation (e.g. substitute window covering), and are unaccountable for their defective products. After 3 weeks still waiting for replacement products, without any assurance this will ever happen. BUYER BEWARE: RH has no concern for their customers, produces defective products, and no accountability to their customers. Its a risk to do business with them. Try the Shade Store, at least corporate communicates promptly.

The furniture has great versatile deign but is made cheaply and is not lasting. I purchased a california king bed frame and if it rubs aganst ANYTHING the veneer scratches or dents because the wood underneath is so soft. Poor quality ant very overpriced.

If you want to freak out the help pick up any object and take it to check out and watch the help melt-down. This is a display store, only. Last time I was in some poor schmuck was on his knees measuring the length of bed skirt hem to the floor. It's a crappy store with overpriced low quality merchandise.

My wife took me to RH @ City Creek we started looking and I fell in love with the Style we were greeted by a designer and let me tell you she is GREAT! After purchasing outdoor furniture, the wicker came undone within a week. The couch was backordered for 6 months for a replacement. The replacement delivery was fumbled as they called the wrong phone number! RH staff who attempted resolution was unhelpful and said they would offer a $500 credit on a $10,000 order. Love this place. Interesting and timeless furniture options. Prices are reasonable when on sale and ok at the market only price. But given the unique options, customizable choices, and good overall quality, we keep going back for more. This store and anthropologie pretty much furnish our home.
