Our experience with Ethan Allen has been great. While the price is premium, if you're looking for something that will last, this is the brand. Our delivery was almost flawless except for one spot on the bed. But this was quickly resolved with a phone call and a visit by Greg. Greg did a wonderful job touching up an area that looked to be scuffed in delivery. Other than that you can feel the quality compared to the bedroom sets sold in the big name furniture stores.

Both in the store and at the point of delivery, my Ethan Allan experience was terrific! I bought my first dining room set from Ethan Allen in 1989, and my most recent one in 2018, and over the last 30 years, the quality of the furniture has remained beautifully consistent.

If you expect high end customer service and design recommendations from qualified design consultants, do not shop at this Ethan Allen. You will be left very disappointed in the quality of the product and the way you are treated by the designers and the store manager. We had a design consultant come to our home to help us pick a fabric for a new sofa, with the objective of matching an existing sofa and two ottomans. The consultant suggested a fabric for us, and pushed us to get it; we trusted her recommendation given her title as design consultant. When the new sofa arrived, the fabric completely clashed with our existing sofa and the ottomans and made our home look like we had thrown together a bunch of furniture that we had randomly purchased. We contacted the designer to discuss our concern and offered to either pay to have it reupholstered or to pay Ethan Allen a restocking fee to take it away, we were happy paying more to fix the terrible issue we faced. However, we were told that neither was an option and that we were stuck with the sofa because it was custom. The only advice we were given was to buy additional Ethan Allen furniture to help the new sofa better blend into the room. We were told they have suggested this to customers in the past, which implies this is a common issue customers face after working with the design consultants in this store. We contacted Ethan Allen HQ and were told most Ethan Allen stores are willing to take furniture back for a restocking fee, but it's up to each regional manager and because this manager said no, there was nothing they could do. It's no wonder people are turning to online retailers, they are tired of being treated so poorly in stores like this one and tired of dealing with companies with backwards, outdated policies. Additionally, on the day of our delivery, we were given a 5 minute notification before the truck was to arrive. When we told the designer that that short of a heads up didn't work, she told us that Ethan Allen no longer has a policy to give customers more notice than that. To this day, we are still waiting for a call back from the store manager who told us he would speak to headquarters one more time regarding our case and what they suggest we do to remedy the situation. We expected more from the designer and from Ethan Allen, if they truly want to be a high end furniture store. Ethan Allen headquarters needs to better monitor the way customers are treated at this store because it is giving the brand a terrible reputation. We will never buy from Ethan Allen again. UPDATE - We were contacted by Ethan Allen headquarters who suggested we move the sofa into a different room in our home and purchase a new one from the store. Their solution to remedy the situation is insulting and further evidence that they do not know how to treat customers.

I can't say enough about how much I love Ethan Allen and my experiences there. Especially with the help of one of the amazing designers KC Fitz-Maurice at Princeton, NJ's location. I have had a number of projects in my home that she has been so helpful. Her expertise is outstanding and her recommendations have made my house a home thanks to her help and the wonderful quality of Ethan Allen design and furniture. Most of the furniture in my home is Ethan Allen and I wouldn't have it any other way. Miss the Oxford Valley Location so much. Love Ethan Allen and thank you to KC Fitz-Maurice.

We had a terrible experience with Ethan Allen at Princeton location. We purchased about $9,000 worth of furniture and received unacceptable subpar quality of services and products. It is shame that EA's best interest is to protect its sales and the company does not offer any reasonable return policy even if its products are defective, damaged, or sub-par quality. Don't be fooled by its premium price and presentation. EA does not carry reputable brand value as it used to. We purchased a EA's TEMPUR-Pedic customized mattress and adjustable foundation, which were sold together as comparable unit as presented at the showroom. However, when these products were delivered, the set up was done incompletely. We also identified that these products were not comparable units and it creates a HUGE (7'' to 9'') gap between mattress and its foundation. EA technician was sent to rectify the problem, but he was not able to resolve the problem because he was just a sub-contractor who was not familiar with Ethan Allen products. After over a month of working with the store manager, the conclusion was that we should ACCEPT and KEEP the products as-is because they tested and validated that they have the same problem with 4 other units at Ethan Allan. Really? The best solution was to lower the EA's standard of quality to keep its sales? I also validated with other Tempur-Pedic authorized retailers that these two products are not comparable and it would damage the mattress. Shop at your risk at Ethan Allen. Ethan Allen does not stand behind its products.

This is my favorite place to visit. Everytime when I go to Natick Mall, I try to visit that place. The staffs there are helpful and Ethan Allen really makes some of the best furniture in the world. The design, the craftmanship and the finish are among the best. The store space is big so you will have a lot of choices. Unfortunately some of the classic furniture in Ethan Allen 2016 catalog are discountinued which is really a pity.

Eric's design acumen, guidance, and unfailing patience and good humor has helped me create the space I always wanted. The EA customer service team is also exceptional. Highly recommend.

Worst furniture buy ever. Gave me multiple delivery dates, all falling through until 1 of 2 pieces promised was delivered. The 2nd "didn't make it to the truck," was rescheduled for 2 days before I was preparing for a long-awaited vacation. The excuse when that day passed changed to "didn't get shipped," and once more was rescheduled to the very day I was to leave, but still didn't show up. Actually told by a manager when I tried to cancel the order "in stock" means in stock at the manufacturer, not at Ethan Allen. Not a definition I've heard from any other store and certainly contradicts what the saleswoman told me when she was after the commission. Feel like I was taken for a ride and got a whole lot of hassle, including unwanted stress before a trip, plus having to wait 2 separate days for delivery of 2 small living room tables. Oh, and the price had gone down slightly in the meantime but no credit for the difference. All in return for my trusting the saleswoman's assurances. Will never shop there again and would not recommend it to anyone.

Ordered sofa, ottoman, and dining room chair cushions. Sofa arrived after 8 weeks and visible white at the top of the sofa. I was told by Kimberlee Norton that the fabric was thin and the padding was seen underneath. Moreover a tear on the welting. New fabric, but why sell me non-durable thin fabric when I specifically asked for durability? Cushions? Told they were being sewn by David LaPrairrie on April 24, 2019 but then told on the 17th of May that cushions would be 10-12 days. Makes no sense. Rude, surly response from Norton. Offered full refund and pick-up of ottoman which came with sofa. Only offer was photos of other fabric I could not see well or the ottoman fabric which was not to be comfy for a sofa. David LaPrairie let me down not to mention your seemingly non-existent executive assistant to CEO, MaryEllen Smolinsky, and Kimberly Sturdevant in Portsmouth. I am deeply disappointed. Moreover, I am promised a credit promptly by Norton but it has yet to arrive! And, pick up has not been arranged for the ottoman. Is legal action reasonable? Yes, if I don't get all my money immediately. I am furious. Shame on Ethan Allen.

Another winning transformation from Michelle Packard of Ethan Allen! The latest update was my utility room --home workspace/TV-Craft/Guest Room. Michelle created the perfect environment with soft aquas, blues, and greens. So exciting to see the story board come to life. Even overcast days feel lighter and softer! Working from home - especially those late night refinement sessions with our offshore squad-mates is enjoyable in this calming space. I think there might be a small challenge when family visits -- the cat and I have both staked out this updated room.

I bought a table and a reclining chair over thanksgiving week. The lady who helped was really nice and helpful. Unfortunately, I also bought fabric for my dinning room chairs. I was told this fabric was in stock. However, after I bought it, they did not deliver the following week. I received it way after New Year. They sold it to me but they clearly did not have it on stock. Ethan Allen made me wait for 6 weeks for the fabric. I was happy with my table and reclining chair but I was very annoyed with the fabric situation. Clearly, they did not have that in stock. I wish they would have told me. I could have gone to a different place to buy it.

My experience at Ethan Allen has been outstanding as usual. The quality of the furniture is stellar. I have been a long term client. My last experience with KC Fitz-Maurice is particularly pleasant. She has shown the most patience and has gone a long way to help with samples and finding the right color for my sofa. She gives great advice, is gracious and is a wonderful sales person.

Don’t shop at the Princeton NJ Location!!!! I went in the showroom to look at couches. I was actually there to go grocery shopping, next-door at the Trader Joe’s, which is why I had a bag filled with recyclable bags inside of it... (not that I need to explain why and what I’m carrying) I got sidetracked and figured I would look at couches first. I walked the store and took various pictures. I even sat down at the kiosk to look at other options and etc. I walked out of the store and headed towards the Trader Joe’s and the lady in the photo, comes out, after me asking me to see what’s in my bag....I couldn’t believe it!!! I thought to myself, what was I going to put in there, a couch??? A table??!!!! Better yet why is she accusing me???!!!!! It’s a show room!!!!! I went to my car and collected myself because I was extremely frustrated. I was going to just leave it alone but im tired of excusing behavior like this. I went back in that store and let her know how I felt. I don’t know what she was judging me on, whether it was the fact that I’m Hispanic? I had on sweatpants and a baseball cap? I didn’t look like her “customer”… I don’t know. I asked her what she was judging me on? And why she thought I had put something in my bag, also what was I going to put in my bag anyway? She tells me my bag was open when I came in and was closed when I walked out.. she said they have various pillows and comforters throughout the store and I could’ve taken one of those and that now, I could have already put it in my car. I’m disgusted by her behavior and this store. Another lady came to the front, I asked her for her name and she refused to give it to me. I have never shopped here and thanks to Susan, here in this picture, I NEVER WILL!!! Just plain IGNORANT AND YES.. IM GOING TO GO WITH RACIST!!!!!! Also check out the comment by ethan allen below, “we are reviewing your allegations” I didn’t even get an apology for the experience or how I felt… I bet they will just ask her what happened, she will deny it and life will go on...
