Went to a private class with Woodcut Maps as a team-building event with my coworkers... oh my, what an AMAZING experience. We all had a wonderful time, and each went home with a breathtaking piece of custom-designed art. Leading up to the event, Catherine (owner) was incredibly professional and responsive, answering all of our questions quickly and efficiently. It was so easy to set up our event and iron out the details, making this a pleasant experience from the start. We had a blast designing our custom maps before the class, using the online map editor to choose our locations, wood types, and markers for points of interest. Once we submitted our designs, we knew we were going to end up with something unique and special to each of us. And then the class came.. Catherine welcomed us into her beautiful home studio and led us through the step by step process of wood map-making. We told stories about our chosen locations while crafting our maps, which was an engaging and satisfying process. At the end of the ~1.5 hour class, we were absolutely stunned to see what we had made. Each piece was beautiful, elegant, and personal work of art. I would HIGHLY recommend this class (or even an online purchase) to just about anyone. These maps are so awesome, and the class was such a great time as well.

Not only do I have this neato online design tool that lets anyone design a gorgeous map of any place on earth, I also get to MAKE their maps.
