Megan was very helpful and spirited about the whole furnishing. She helped make all the decisions we needed to and make the experience really fun. Very kind gal. She's got an eye for design and helped us understand the little details that was helpful. The other staff were great too--makes shopping a hassle-less experience. Prices are reasonable and they have the cutest Scandinavian , Italian, and modern designs. I love decorating my apartment with their furniture and accenting with more expensive pieces. Check it out

we love furniture shopping but we hate "mainstream" pieces. HD has a great selection and a super friendly staff. The selection is mostly sofas, chairs and tables. they have a limited number of beds. best furniture store in san francisco.

Had a great experience buying my sofa at Furniture Land. Apart from the furniture on display, they have lots of items available via catalog. Their sofas are high quality and quite affordable. I couldn't give enough compliments to the store owner & the staff. They were very nice, professional and accommodating. They gave me updates & heads-up on item availability and delivery time-frame. I was offered a free delivery + assembly. My sofa got delivered today as promised. The delivery & assembly service was top-notch. No mess & packaging was left in my apartment. The sofa looks amazing and fits so well into my place.

WOW! Cant believe what I just saw. Just watched a woman, who is supposed to be the manager of HD Buttercup be extremely rude and condescending to a customer because she didn't think the customer had enough money to shop there. And then she proceeded to verbally abuse one of her employees, who looked stunned and was almost in tears when this "manager" walked away. I think I heard her name was Deadus, or Didus...something like that. Very horrible woman and should not be in charge...she shouldn't even work there! As long as this woman works there, that company won't get my money for the fact that they allow someone like that to work for them, let alone run their business. All the other employees seemed nice, so this beast stuck out like a short, round thumb!

We're always excited to stop by and check out what they have on the floor, but we've never found anything we can't live without. It's worth a stop if you're in the market for furniture or funky deco, but be prepared to leave empty handed.

Their stuff is cute but getting anything online or returning items is a nightmare. A while ago I bought a mirror, which got lost in the store and took me weeks to get from them. 1.5 months ago I returned an expensive ottoman and I still don’t have a credit for that. Such a headache.

At least half of the furniture in my apartment comes from HD Buttercup. Their collection is hip and trendy, but it's also filled with unique pieces that you just wouldn't find anywhere else, they look amazing, make for great conversation pieces, quality is great and, maybe just as important, the staff is equally good - they've always gone beyond to help me figure out what style to go for, never pushy, always super helpful - when I was in a bind to get a new sofa the same day they made magic happen despite the fact that it was already 5.30pm - just can't say enough good things about them! I don't think it's a stretch to say this is the best furniture store in San Francisco

This is a very nice furniture store with a great range of items. Many of the pieces are pretty unique. I find the organization of the floor to be a little dense, which can make things harder to navigate (has a bit of an Ali Baba's cave feel!). They do have customer parking, which is convenient. Well worth exploring for inspiration and maybe a great find.

This place is huge but had almost nothing that I was looking for. The promotional material features some contemporary items. In-store, they had no contemporary items - it was all either mid-Century, or very OTT. Either way, if you are looking for glitzy furniture or old-fashioned furniture, you will be ok, but don't bother if you are looking for anything contemporary.
