Absolutely top rate! My husband and I worked with the designers at Samartzis-Minchew Design for three years in the mid-2000's. They are highly trained, experienced, professional, detail-oriented, on-time with presentations, creative yet tuned in to your style and vision of your home. We were designing a 10,000 square foot Spanish Colonial home nestled into the McDowell Mountain Range in north Scottsdale. SMD were members of our total design team (including architect and skilled builders). They have contacts all over the world with furniture and antique dealers, fabric designers, artists and artisans of every kind. They not only advised on interior decor but also designed our interior space in accordance with true Spanish Colonial architectural tradition, giving us the "old world" look that we wanted. They solved several interior structural design problems that had stumped our architects! They were ready to go for that "dream room" we were envisioing yet also willing to "value engineer" (their term) in areas that matter less to us, when we needed to shave down the costs. We had a blast working together. I go back to them for ongoing design needs. (My favorite rooms are our first floor powder bathroom -- our "money pit" room! Our bedroom, living room, kitchen and upstairs "adult play room" with a fabulous view of the Valley.) Try them -- you will not be disapponted. B.J.

No one does modern Southwest designs like Susie Hersker at Design Directives. I've been working with Design Directives since 2015 and I am constantly wowed by their creations. Their homes in Scottsdale and Sedona are drool-worthy. And, Elaine is a pleasure to deal with on the details of our projects. They are the best at what they do.
