My father, who is 86, went into the clinic and expected to get new hearing aids. Not only did he get hearing aids, but he had a hearing test, which showed a decline. The results were thoroughly explained to him by a wonderful, caring audiologist named Mindy. He left with new batteries in his old hearing aids, and an order for new hearing aids. My father was very happy. The next appointment was with Dr. Kurszewski- my father was seeing this doctor for his chronically painful, fused back. Dr. Kurszewski was again, a caring physician, who took the time to answer all of my father's questions, and explained to my father, how to properly use his TENS unit. The Dr. also provided additional options for my father's back, such as a velcro back support belt. My father left that clinic feeling very well cared for, as all patients should! Way to go! Thank you to the staff of the Wisconsin Rapids VA clinic! You are wonderful, caring people who help some of the most honorable people in our society, who truly need you.

I started going to this clinic in November of 2017 just I got hit in the head with a pick-up door & developed a big floater in my right eye. The optometrist stated: "You will always have it & if it breaks off starts floating around, you will loose your eye & you have Glaucoma in your left eye" & prescribed eye regular drops." I had my eyes checked at the Tomah VA at the end of March of this year & the Doctor said: "It's a cataract, not glaucoma" & I had cataract surgery in May 2 months later. It took 2 months just to get glasses, because the Tomah VA system is so incompetent, slow & screw-arounds are everywhere. Call the Patient Reps 10 times a day & complain for a year or two & the next staff member does the the same thing! They won't do anything about it! the Patient Reps say: "You call me up 20 times everyday!", right, I wonder why? Maybe all they want to do is screw someone up on prescription drug so they can screw them over in court! They need a Psychiatriast because their heads are stuft up too far & all they do is jerk me around, try to screw me & harass me & a little red flag goes up & my first thought would be, their heads are up too far & their intestines are wrapped way to tight causing Hypoxia & they can't make competent decisions. Patti Grace, Social Worker here at the Wis Rapids VA Clinic tried to screw me up on Celexa in December 2017 for an overeating problem! "To get you thrown in jail!" she said. I asked "Why?" And she replied:"To keep you from going to the Sturgis Biker Rally!" "Is obstruction legal?" I asked her? And she replied": "Hell no!" Then I asked her: "Who is committing the crime?" & she replied: "They are!"

Went in for a possible uti on Thursday morning and didn't get my results back until Monday. The nurse acted shocked that i expected a callback sooner. Urinalysis staff was unprofessional as well. When I put my sample into the designated area, I had to move other people samples in order to fit mine. These samples have your name, birth date and ssn on them. I informed the staff and they laughed it off saying "they will take care of it". I am a veteran of both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and I'm very dissatisfied with the quality of care I received at the Wisconsin rapids VA.
