The physical therapy and aquatic therapy here have been a blessing for me. First, the physical location is well kept, employees are very respectful and relatable, the pools are typically busy, but well kept despite that, and it's all so close to home! I'm glad to have this awesome resource so conveniently available.

A friend keeps going in there for cutting himself and he is suicidal and you let him go. He cut himself and got 35 stitches and when i called to warn you he was suicidal you told me he wasnt there. You dont even deserve a 1 you deserve a nothing. He dies i will be blaming it on you. I know i will never go to your ER ever again. You should be shut down. When we found out he was there with text messages says he wishes he was dead. And you didnt care.

I got an MRI done at the clinic. No issues. But I needed an IV for this. My veins are very bad, so it took over an hour to put in an IV. I am use to this. What I'm not used to, is getting sent home with the IV still fully intact in my arm and being told I have to take it out myself when I get home. I was appalled by this. The doctors told me the tape was too sticky so I should soak it off at home, and that no one could remove it. I'm sorry, isn't that apart of someone's job? I had my fiance take it out since clearly I couldn't take it out myself one handed. It was ridiculous. If we taken it out wrong, I could of seriously gotten hurt, and infection, etc. I am very surprised that one of the best hospitals would let their patients leave like this. This was my first time going there since I switched insurances. I am not impressed. I was also told that it was too late so no one will be at the front desk and I would not receive any papers from my appointment. Which is true, I didn't get anything.

From initial appointment, reception staff, medical staff, nursing staff and guest services.... this was the most outstanding surgical experience I've had in my 78 years. The orthopedic department wtih Dr. Kathryn Williams and her staff have been nothing but most efficient, effective in meeting my need for ankle surgery, and caring. The care I received from nursing staff on 4th floor during my hospital stay was exceptional. Everyone has been upbeat, encouraging, gracious and contributed to my well-being and healing. I will recommend American Center UW-Health Orthopedic Department wholeheartedly!

Got an order for 3 X-rays on my ankle. Went in as a walk in and got turned away because I wasn’t a patient. Didnt get the paperwork you fill out when you go to a new hospital. Didn’t even get a referral for another hospital that could help me. Just a decline.

Horrible hospital every time I go here which is only because it’s close to me and I don’t have a car they treat me like the scum of the earth my clothes are always clean I never smell my hair is always combed I mean I just don’t get it I can understand how they could get really tired from work overload because the hospital is a really busy place of business but I have to say that is still no reason to treat people like they are not human it truly hurts I think if you are an expert at something you should have a passion for other people feelings because they might be going through something as well.

Disappointed, doctor recommended seeing orthocare now and will not be seen. They are backed up with one doctor. It would of been nice to be notified of that when you call or check in so my time is not wasted or work time.

Wonderful place with helpful staff at all levels. I’ve been a patient and a companion of patients in many hospitals, and this has got to be the best overall I’ve experienced. My experience here was as a companion to my father who had hip replacement surgery in the Summer of 2018. It is rare for any organization to run as effectively as this, especially when so new, and when in such a complex field. I would recommend this hospital very highly.

One of the worst clinics I've ever dealt with. They refuse to give patients any paperwork and pass around the blame to different departments. They won't return phone calls.

Do not go here. Do not see Dr. Joseph Tupta. He charges an obscene amount for physical therapy. $830 for a 45 minute session which involved him watching me do basic exercises like squats and jogging to the end of the hall and then giving me an exercise band and telling me to go home and do more exercises on my own. How can any normal person afford this? How can you justify charging people several hundreds of dollars for what amounts to the same exact care I could get at a Planet Fitness?

Really bad customer service for pool passes/PT reception at 6 PM-6:30 PM. Had to wait 15 min. while Dawn Pilsner sat on the phone making an appt. Then an additional 5 min. while she was on a call with another employee. After that I found Dawn was difficult to work with as well as going as slow as she possibly could (I've purchased a pass before it took no time at all). She said she couldn't take a credit card & cash for a pool pass. I tried to purchase a pass with a $50 bill & was told I needed exactly $35. I said "why does this have to be so difficult?" "I've been waiting over 20 min. for service, now this?" She threatened to call security! She turned to her phone and hit the button. With the amount of money I have spent at UW! WOW! She did a "fake yawn" when my sister tried to explain we are chronic pain patients and simply can't sit & stand that long after a long drive to the facility. Not even an apology for me having to wait for SO long... BTW, I was the only person there until my sister arrived.

Once you see someone it is fine, but you can never talk to anybody and phone calls never get returned. Be prepared to be on hold.

I received coordinated care with all departments. Great Physical Therapy. Call light answered promptly by Nurses and Nursing Assistant Staff that really care. The food was great. A representative from the Dietary Department came once or twice a day to order what you wanted for meals and snacks. Even being awoken at 6AM by Medical Student and Resident was a benefit as an added layer to have questions answered and more were generated for my doctor's visit later on.

After having already confirmed the address of our appointment while en route, I dropped my mother at the front door and proceeded to park. The staff person at the entry while not rude, showed a flat affect in respond to my question of where a certain area was located and insisted I was at the wrong building. Better training is needed.

My dad just left after a five-day stay due to a life-threatening emergency. The entire staff was wonderful, from the ER to the food service. Special thanks to the nursing staff on the 5th floor, many of whom I met, and who were uniformly kind, patient, and professional. I never met his doctor, but I felt her decisions were always prudent and always careful. The staff was very good about explaining things thoroughly and answering our questions. Also, this has to be the most beautiful health care facility I've ever seen. The public areas are bright and inviting, with plenty of comfy seats. The exam rooms & inpatient rooms are spacious, comfortable and state-of-the-art, with care given to every detail. How lucky we are to have such an amazing facility here! In short, while there's nothing enjoyable about a hospital visit, the UW American Center is the best health care facility I've ever seen. I will always be grateful to their expert staff for saving my dad's life!

Had knee surgery here. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Stayed overnight for two nights after surgery. Best hospital experience possible I believe. Great food for a hospital!

Had an inguinal hernia repair performed 15 months ago. Have had complications and constant pain since. I now have difficulty sitting, standing and walking. Zero follow-up from the clinic unless I initiate it to remind them that I am still having issues.

I love this place. The staff here is amazing! Everyone here is so helpful and friendly. I've been to a few different clinics for outpatient therapy. I cannot say enough good things about this place. It's a clean and welcoming environment. I really appreciate all of the people who have taken care of me here. They truly care about patient well being!

Alicia purdin Aug 9 12.15 get there before noon showed to room around 12.15 sat there tell 12.55 when I went to hall way where said I was still WAITING for Alicia they did not seem to know anything or where she mite be so I left and called the next day and was told how sorry they where and I. Could see her in 7 weeks never. Did talk to her

What a great place with AMAZING people! I have been to several local hospitals and clinics recently seeking answers for my medical condition. This place was AWESOME, they took care of me quickly, as this has been going on for 6+ months and no one was getting it. I am soooo glad we went here, thank you soooooo much to all the ER doctors and nurses, the surgery team, all the nurses, CNA's and therapy on the 5th floor. You truly are all AMAZING people and I can't thank you enough for all that you did for me while I was there! God bless all of you! !!

Very disappointed with the "OrthoNow" clinic. The website on UW states that this is a walk in that evaluates orthopedic injuries. At the front I was told that if I hadn't called and made an appointment or if it hadn't occurred more than 6 weeks ago that I wouldn't be seen. I was told that this would be an initial consult only, they may take an xeay and potentially schedule an orthopedic follow up. So what is the point of this clinic? Very misleading!

It was one of the best hospital experiences I've ever had. Very caring nurses and doctor! They made sure to find out what was wrong with me..I personally have never liked going to hospitals and have had horrible experiences at metiter and St.Marys. this place was absolutely amazing tho!!!!
