Went in today, in extreme pain from kidney issues and a flare up of a UTI, while check in was quick and I was taken back rather quickly as well, I sat in a room for hours waiting. They finally came in to tell me that they were going to send some medications to the Pharmacy so I could get this cleared up quickly, I leave and go get my medication, to learn that there was an issue. At first, no big deal, I can wait, I decided to go home so I could get some sleep since I had to work again, I go back to get my meds, to learn that they only sent 1 medication, not even the important antibiotic that I desperately need. I try and call to get that med sent over, to get ZERO answers, guess Monday I will have to drive to my regular Dr.. This was the first time that I have been here, and also the last.

One would expect an attending nurse to have a capacity for human caring and compassion for the patient. I did not find this to be the case in my experience. Very impersonal and business-like.

Worst customer service experience of all time. They billed us without insurance then gave us the biggest attitude about changing it to reflect our insurance. The nurse called my boyfriend a liar and told him that most patients declare that they have insurance immediately upon admittance. Really? So someone is dying and screaming that they have insurance... I'm outraged by the lack of integrity and the childish behavior of the nursing staff in Monroe.

It would be worth driving 45 minutes than trusting the pediatric department. If you call and leave a message with the nurse you never get a response and we have been in each month for the last 3 and get told today shots were needed 2 months ago.

A therapeutic infusion previously coded as such, a therapeutic infusion. Since SSM came in the same therapeutic infusion is now coded as "diagnostic". There is nothing being diagnosed, there is a diagnosis already. Per a patient account representative, "this is how SSM wants it". Due to the coding we are now paying 150.00 more per infusion, given 1 time per week. This is 600.00 more per month, out of pocket. Insurance doesn't pay for any of it but because it helps we pay out of pocket. Non profit organization...hmmm let's think about this.

I was flabbergasted when I received a "courtesy" call today to let me know I have a balance on my account. Mind you, I **just** got the bill last week after insurance had paid. The bill is not due until July 17! Ridiculous. I don't need 'courtesy' (i.e. collection) calls.

Visited doctor office and emergency department here. Doctor visit was less than impressive, but was easy to get in. Emergency department will financially "affect" you. Get copies of everything and costs associated. If you ever wonder why the "health care system is broken", it's the people who think your signature on admission form is a blank check. But hey, that new wing won't build itself.

This is a great medical facility. Parking is great. Ease to get to building is great. People inside are there to help you. Elevators are handy. Service of checking in is quick. Very little time passes before your name is called. Everyone is polite and responsive. Nice restaurant. Efficiency is of the highest at this facility. Last, but not least, Dr. Keith Devries is at the top of the best!

This hospital should be shut down my sister was extremely sick and they said she couldn't get the care she needed there so they said she needed to be transferred to Madison for care and while her insurance would pay for an ambulance they insisted we drive her now I ask you if she is sick enough that she needs to be transferred to Madison why the hell am I driving her instead of an ambulance taking her and if something happened to her on the way what makes them think I wouldn't sue the crap out of these assholes

Horrible reception, hardly any help with medical treatment, transferred to Beloit. Peds is the worst.

I would give a -star but I couldnt. If you end up going to this clinic don't go to doc maxwell he is so heartless n he will miss dignose you. He don't care less about the people I have had countless surgeries n he had me in more pain when I left then when I came..... I suggest everyone find a new place to go ..... everyone in monroe has a horror story to tell. Just like right out the movies...

Delivering here was absolutely amazing. This was my third child other two were delivered in rockford il in 2013 & 2017 comparing these experiences monroe qas the best by far! Staff was 100% friendly and had a genuine care for me and my newborn. RN morgan (night shift) was my favorite. She helped me through labor and was present for the birth of my baby boy. She went out of her way to keep me as comfortable as possible. After being home for a day or two we even recieved a card from the staff with hand written notes from each staff member we came in contact with during our stay!!! I would rate them a 100/100! Thabk you Monroe staff for making the stay a pleasure!!

Monroe Clinic is an excellent facility dedicated to helping the sick and hurt not for the intention of making profit. Monroe Clinic was previously sponsored by the Congregation of Sisters of Saint Agnes, and is now sponsored by SSMHealth. They are both exceptional not-for-profit organizations. I have shadowed several of the providers at the Monroe Clinic (as I am studying to become a doctor myself), and I have also been a patient at Monroe Clinic for a wide variety of issues. Something unique about the Monroe Clinic is the patient-centered healthcare. It's very unique and just not heard of in other healthcare facilities. I have shadowed at bigger hospitals around the state as well, and the environment is entirely different. This is very unique to the Monroe Clinic.
