I recently stayed overnight after I had surgery for a serious laceration to my leg. I had never had surgery before but they made me feel comfortable and safe. Throughout the night, I had to get help getting to the bathroom and the CNA's on duty were very kind and accommodating. They really made me feel like a priority and I'm glad this is the hospital I was treated at.

Extremely disappointed! My mom had a planned surgery for 2 weeks and after her surgery she had to wait 8 hours for her room! After 4 hours of waiting we could finally see my mom. That is unacceptable! She had to text me to have nurse go to room because she couldn’t reach the call button. I tried calling her room & no answer because the damn phone was so far away. The hospital really should focus on patients versus serving the general public food from their cafeteria. Prior to surgery I was told to take my mom to a certain area and had to walk through the whole hospital when we could’ve been easily told to go to surgery area.

Friendly staff, have never had an issue

Dr. Napier was wonderful but then was referred to Dr. Dervish for pain management. He was the most rude and uncaring doctor I've ever experienced! I had fractured vertebrae and something affecting the nerves & muscles on the right side of my body. Every time I had to go back in to see him he would ask if I was getting better and when I told him no, the pain wasn't better he got really mad at me and very mean. At my last appt. he told me I would just have to live with the pain. Needless to say I never went back. You would think he would refer me back to the neurologist or rheumatologist that deal with nerve & muscle issues. Instead Dr. Dervish just let me suffer. Clearly when I had my accident something was injured but he never even tried to address the issues! I'll never go back! Update: I did contact the HR dept. about this so I see no use in sending my contact info. to that email the "owner" provided, it's probably the same dept. Apparently it's ok for him to treat people this way because he is still there today. Since my experience with Dr. Dervish I've heard about him in 2 other doctor's offices. I've learned that I'm not alone and that he treats a lot of people like this. I was told that it is common knowledge in the medical community/doctor's community that he doesn't like women. There is no excuse and makes the matter even worse! I can't believe someone hasn't filed a discrimination lawsuit!

Green Bay does have an excellent, first-class hospital and emergency center. I do not believe that you could receive better patient care in Milwaukee or Chicago. Take my word, I served 30+ years in the EMS profession.

My mom and I brought my 88 year old great Uncle in to the emergency late last night, 4/27/18, and it was the most pleasurable experience I’ve had with a hospital. Colton was our PA and Amy was our nurse and they were genuinely the most caring medical professionals I’ve ever dealt with! I live 200 miles away but I’d go there for help if I could! I felt good knowing my Uncle was going to be in the care of this hospital and wonderful people. Great people here that truly care about the well being of people and I highly recommend this hospital. 5 star service!⭐️

Went in for a general sore throat which I had after a few days. Was determined to be an emergency visit and got charged accordingly. Not sure how a sore throat could be determined as an emergency.

Luke Zepnick

Last year my appendix burst and I spent a few nights at Aurora. They were very accommodating and their staff was polite and professional. They did everything they could to make my misery more bearable and every person I dealt with there was kind and helpful. I hope I never have to go there again, but if I do, I know I'm in good hands.

I had a great experience at auroa outside of the one nurse who was terribly rude and unhelpful when I was soaking basically a diaper pad in 2 minutes with blood after ten houts after having a baby... also the discharge process needs some cleaning up. We waited for three to 4 hours to get our discharge papers... most of the people are great but some dont care at all

Was in the radiology department to get a biopsy done. The staff was great, and the Anasteleolgyst people were kind and caring about me. The the doctor who did the biopsy was very cold and rude and acted very unprofessional. Made me and my family very uneasy. Was rude, and when I asked him a question he rolled his eyes. Even arguing with me about me being out under. If I ever had to go there again I will make sure he is no where near me.

I go here for my audiology and hearing aids. My doctor is very helpful and always willing to work with me in various ways. I was also given my Ulnar nerve surgery here in 2010 - 2011 which saved my career as a musician, so I have nothing but good things to say about Aurora Baycare Medical Center.

EVERY staff member that we have encountered has been courteous, compassionate, positive, and professional. I cannot say enough about the well designed and attractive facilities - it's very comforting to be in such a non-clinical setting when dealing with all the issues that my mother has faced. She underwent surgery and 6 weeks of followup treatments. The outcome is that there is no further sign of the cancer and she is back to her life as she knew it before all this started. We came here for a second opinion and instantly ABC became our first choice ... well worth the 45 minute drive past several other providers!

I was an inpatient here after surgery. They 1st put me on the observation floor and my nurses Ellen and Kelsey were absolutely amazing! Then they transferred me to the 4th floor and that's when the hell began. Every nurse did things differently from my meds to what I was supposed to do. One of the night nurses said that I should be working with physical therapy, I was 1 day out from a total ankle replacement! The next morning my dr came in and said I could go home with meds and asked me which ones were working to help my pain. I told him and he said, ok then that's what I'll send you home with, this was 8:00 a.m. The floor supervisor came in at that time to take my IV out. I asked if we could please wait in case it took a while because we had a 2 hour drive home just in case I needed my meds. She looked at me and told me I need to get off those meds anyway. Now mind you, it was only about 48 hours after my surgery. She took it out and we ended up sitting there for 6 hours after that! I was in excruciating pain! The nurse and the floor supervisor wouldn't even come in and talk to me or help me with my pain and they ended up changing my pain meds so now I have no medicine for the breakthrough pain and it's not like I can just go over there quick since we are 2 hours away. So we finally got what I thought were the meds I needed and we were finally ready to leave. The CNA said she had to quick put someone back in bed and promised to be right back. There we sat, I was in the wheelchair with my ankle below heart level and it was pounding bad! We put the call light on and nobody came. Needless to say my husband pushed me out to the car in a wheelchair, we didn't get the correct discharge papers, I didn't get the times my meds were last given and nobody cared. I have never been treated so horribly in my life! This was my 5th ankle surgery in 2.5 years so it was more painful than it would've normally been but they just treated me like I just wanted meds. I'd like to see them go through what I went through and see how they feel being treated the way they treated me! These people should be ashamed of themselves. Up until going to the 4th floor we were treated great and then we get there and it's like everyone hates their jobs and is more worried about themselves than the patients. I explained to my 1 night nurse that I really had to use the commode, her response was, we are going to get report on the rest of our peeps then I'll be back. Over an hour later she decided to come back. Now here I sit without the right medications to take this excruciating pain away over 2 hours away and they could care less. Wish I would've been able to stay on the observation floor by Kelsey and Ellen, nurses that actually care about their patients or I should've went somewhere else, which is what I will do if there ever is a next time because I will NEVER go to this hospital again! (This is the short version of what happened!)

Have had nothing but positive experiences 2 of my children were born there.

My husband was just released from Aurora Baycare after a long stay. I thought the majority of the RNs, CNAs and LPNs were very nice and accommodating during his stay. The doctors were also very knowledgeable and able to explain what was wrong with him to us. The Care Coordinators made the connection for us with the VA and his transition to a rehab facility easy to do. Overall, I would give the hospital a 4.5.

Katie Yost

I can’t say how disappointed I was with our experience there last night with our son, we took our two year old in cause we couldn’t get his temp to drop and he was shaking and having a hard time breathing. We were seen told our concerns and was told he was fine but the dr was wondering about his tongue the way it looked but his Pediatrician knows about it and it’s a geographical tongue he has, well the dr that seen us said oh let me go look at some pictures for his tongue, we waited for her to come back and she didn’t we ended up walking out and there wasn’t even anyone around except one person and I told her to tell the dr that we are leaving and we’re done waiting. We took our son to a different hospital where we actually got the help we needed for him. Sad that when your worried about your child you think your going to good place but in the end, end up leaving cause you didn’t get help.

Joan Kaster

I have been to the ER several times with a family member and ALWAYS been treated with the most thorough and courteous care. Tests were completed and results were given with urgency. Upon admission the best care continued. Not only was my family member well taken care of, but my time and needs were also part of the plan. The cafeteria is also outstanding. I wish our local hospital was run like this one. We drive an hour to come here and it is totally worth it!

Was in for surgery for prolapse in 2006. Was in the hospital for 3 days. Not enough nurses to care for the patients. Nurses got in a verbal argument in my rm right in front of me on who was going to handle my release. I was not suppose to lift over 5 lbs after surgery. I ended up grabbing my own suitcase and walking out. Rooms are nice, food is good, but not enough nurses.

Harley Mabie

Your treated like a number and a paycheck here.I was on the phone with my nurse told her I had a miscarrage and all she could respond was well how do you know (with a snotty attitude) I told her well usually when theres tons of blood and the plecenta comes out that probably tells me I had a miscarrage. Me being already stressed out enough of my unborn baby they have the nerve to send me a letter saying i missed my appoint ment when. Icalled them 2weeks before my appointment. Worse place to be the staff are not that friendly there all in a big rush. Will never come back here again!

Made payments on time, sometimes double payments a month. Without notice turned into collections without any communication from aurora. Greedy is an under statement.

Lee Ann Haney

Great doctors and nurses. They treat you like a human .

Tyler Boushka

Told the family my grandpa will be out in 3 weeks. Kept saying it. Then he passed away.

Nancy McCarthy

Our two youngest children were both delivered here and unfortunately were in the NICU for different lengths of time. The nurses in the NICU were amazing, they took excellent care of me and our babies. Aurora even has a small hotel on the top floor and only charged us $25 a night since our children were there so anytime the kids woke up they called and we were able to come down to feed them. We have been patients at Aurora for several years now and although I have met a few doctors that I didn’t like, overall Aurora is a great hospital. Everyone from my general Dr to our pediatrician has always been very helpful, I wld definitely recommend Aurora to anyone looking to be more than just a random number.

I was abused by a surgical tech that was prepping me for a procedure. I am mad as hell about it and if the hospital doesn't do something about it, I'm getting a lawyer.

Yeldie Dandeneau

If I could give this hospital a negative star or two I would. Some of the doctors are alright but most of the staff are condescending and rude. Then there is the Diabetic Endocrinology Department. Oh I could write a book about the Diabetic Endocrinology doctors. A couple years ago, the doctor in that department left. They had no replacement. So the next couple years I went through a different doctor every few months. Over those two years, each doctor changed the rules and how they did things, different medications, different suggestions on treatment meanwhile I was literally dying. My organs were failing and I lived in a world of searing pain in which I could not leave my bed for long and screamed constantly. Finally a doctor got it right but he of course was not the permanent doctor. His course of action helped a lot though I still had a long way to go. When the permanent doctor DID appear, he was an incompetent old man who didn't understand my questions nor did he care about the ongoing pain I was in. I had to beg and plead for help. I'd had enough. When finally my husband got a job transfer out of state I gladly approved. That meant new doctors and hopefully one of THEM would care. But Aurora staff would have the last laugh. Because I had to reschedule an appointment, they refused to refill my meds. My last month before the move and Im going to have to do it without my pain meds. Hope my new neighbors dont mind the screaming. Thanks Aurora! Great job!

‪@baycareclinic I was just hung up on by “Becky” with Bay Care billing support, was not a helpful encounter especially when I’m being billed multiple times for the same item in the same visit. Glad I was able to buy one of your doctor’s trophy wife a new car. ‬

CLRAN LARGE ROOMS. RECETIONISTS ALL VERY HELPFUL AND BEYOND POLITE. BETTER THAN BEING HOME.

GO TO THE URGENT CARE ON THE WEST SIDE OF GREEN BAY INSTEAD! Do not go to this location! This urgent care is combined with their Emergency Room at this location. They will tell you your injury is too severe for urgent care and upgrade you to the emergency room at a much greater cost to you! Also if you have a back injury don't hold your breath for ANY help at all. I crawled into here with severe back pain and was treated like dirt. Dr. Hartmann didn't meet any of my needs, I would have been better off never going to him or this ER.

Massage Envy Lombardi

I have chronic pain and syncope episodes and I get treated extremely poorly. I have now had 10 syncope episodes with one hospital admission. No one can tell me why this keeps happening and each time I have ended up in the ER and they do is send me home. They even let me drive home after having a syncope episode!!! My latest episode I injured my hip, I was complaining of right hip pain, the ER doctor didn't even address the pain. Then the male RN came in and had me walk to the door, as I was crying due to the pain, the RN made the comment "Its not like your hip is broken, it shouldn't hurt that bad". The sad thing is, I am an Aurora Caretaker, I work for Aurora. I have never had a good experience yet at the Aurora Baycare Medical Center ER in Green Bay, WI. Nursing staff are not kind and the doctors seem not to care.

Eric Burden

Be prepared to be judged. Thanked a nurse twice and she didn't acknowledge me at all. And also if you go through the reviews you will see this "Hello, we are committed to providing excellent care and experiences to all our patients." Meaning they don't even take the time to acknowledge the mistakes they made and just literally treat all there patients as a paycheck without a care for them.

We have used this facility at the bay care main hospital twice, once for appendicitis and today for knee problems, we'r only had to wait less than 5 minutes, promptly then seen by nurse, then doctor very efficient, fast, quality ,caring and professional care. Thank you new Doctor William J. Wagner M.D. and all the staff involved today. Excellent work team!

Went in for a "general wellness" check which I get one a year from my insurance covered at 100%. They coded it a "sick office visit", now they send me a bill for some crazy amount. Bunch of scam artists, would never recommend this place!!!!! Wish I could give 0 stars!!!!

They've been so helpful with my first pregnancy. Dr's and nurses are very friendly. I'm so glad I picked Aurora. Wouldn't want to go to any other hospital.

My dad had open heart surgery here last fall. so he was in the ICU for 5 days. The doctors, and nurses were so nice. The day he had the surgery a nurse stayed in his room all night just to made sure he was doing okay, so we were very happy with that. Every time one of the nurses came in the room they just smiled, and joked around a bit, and make sure he was comfortable see if the rest of the family is doing okay. I was really happy that my dad went to this hospital, and its the best heart hospital in Green Bay. Thank You!

Customer service will hang up on you. Don't plan on getting the care you need when you need it, and be prepared to feel like a burden. Utter trash hospital and I'm embarrassed for these terrible people.

My daughter was rushed Aurora Baycare from our hometown she had her baby two months premature.. They did an excellent job caring both of my girls in the nicu unit. I was quite impressed to say the least. They RNs all were all very comforting and very knowledgeable. A very good experience.

We love Dr. Rucker and nurse Dana. She always goes out of her way to make our girls feel safe. Today we brought out 9 month old in for routine checkup and thought our 2 yr old felt hot. They took her temp. 103. They immediately added an appt and checked her over. We were there for 3 hours and Dana made my very sick daughter happy. Gave her a stuffed puppy and stickers. Even colored with her. Great care above and beyond.

I would recommend this hospital over any other, I needed some major surgeries over the past few years, and countless procedures, the staff treated me like I was royalty, I can't say enough great things about them and the facility, if I have an emergency, I would go here verses anywhere else, hands down!

NateWa

The only positive thing is that my child was delivered and healthy. The Dr. Was nice but not very informative and the nursing staff was terrible. I will not be having another child delivered here.

Amanda Strauss

8 years ago I delivered my baby girl at Aurora and had the best experience for my first birth. She was born during snow storm Chloe, which shut down Green Bay. Doctor Kincheloe who is an amazing doctor made it to Green Bay from Chicago to deliver her (which is amazing in its self...usually in situations like that another doctor would deliver your child). My family was treated very nicely and stayed in the rooms on the 5th floor. I stayed with the medical center for my primary doctor and my daughter sees a pediatric with aurora now. Today I had surgery on my left ovary to have a cyst removed. Doctor Kincheloe once again did an amazing job saving my ovary and the staff in Pre-op, as well as, recovery were amazing and so friendly. The nurses made sure I was taken care of and as comfortable as possible. I would recommend aurora to everyone because it’s an amazing hospital with amazing staff. I told one of my nurses before leaving that they helped me make my decision to apply there after nursing school because the atmosphere is so welcoming and friendly.

Unprofessional. Period.

Brandon Hankins

I was recently a patient there for stroke like symptoms. I felt uncomfortable most of the time there. Some nurses and staff were nice and some were just rude. After a bunch of tests and still no conclusive results I was getting impatient. Then when I tried to get up to use the bathroom they “accidentally spilled the urinal jug on me I had used previously and then tried saying I did it to myself. I was getting no results and I felt so uncomfortable there that I had to check myself out against medical advice. Nurse Sara and Dr. Napier were the only ones that I felt comfortable with and were taking my care seriously. The rest were rude or I didn’t have much interaction with them.

Amy Kucksdorf

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Aurora BayCare. I was misdiagnosed and left with large medical bills. When I went to another doctor outside of Aurora BayCare they confirmed my misdiagnosis. I would recommend that others seek care outside of Aurora BayCare clinics and hospitals.

My experience there in 2014 was nothing short of a disaster. Doctor Peter Johnson was my doctor, and I use that term very loosely. After my hysterectomy I was left to lie in pain for hours because they couldn't get a hold of him for pain medication orders!! And apparently he had no back up doctor in case of emergencies. Hours later when my 2 nurses, one of which was only on the job 2 months, and he other 6 months, got a hold of him his excuse was that he had forgotten his cell phone in his car, REALLY!!! The staff was unprofessional, and inexperienced and rude. As I was getting ready to go home they told me I had to have a test that had nothing whatsoever to do with anything I was in there for, so my husband and I waited an hour for them to come and get me, finally my husband went down to the nurses station where they were on facebook, and was told, "Oh sorry that test was for another patient." so they had let us sit there for an hour waiting for a test that was never to take place and never bothered to let us know. When the R.N came in she was rude and flashed a bag of medications at me and asked if it was mine and tossed it in my bag. When I got home, I found that they had given me another patients medication, full bottles with the patients name, address and everything on them, a total violation of the HIPAA law. When I called to tell them their response was oh just throw them away. Now this patients was a Hispanic lady who was on the 1st floor while I was on the 3rd floor. I won't go into details but that was not the last word on the subject because I notified the head nurse, hospital administration, I was given the oh we had a big meeting so this kind of thing would never happen again, Sure. I should have sued them, but that wouldn't have changed a thing, see they would have to care enough to change and they don't. I photographed the bottles of medication, pictures I still have in my possession. So my advice to you is beware of BayCare, in Green Bay WI, their reputation for doctors, most of the doctors are very good, but the staff is 3rd rate at best, and I would never trust them with my life again. And if I could give them a negative rating I would.

Heidi Belekevich

Cynthia Borrely-Shipley

Had the worst experience with this company. Then ended up with over a $1200 bill because no one along the whole chain of my care, listened to what I had to say. They said if I didn't follow their standard protocol, that I would not get my prescription refilled. I'm not one who runs to the doctor over every little thing and I do my part to always be knowledgeable and on top of my health history and current issues. I always try to make sure the physician and I are working together. This facility just told me what had to be done. I never had the same doctor twice for this condition, and was told 'well I don't know your history so I'm only going off of what I see'. Even though I pressed on over and over why I disagreed. In the end, it all played out exactly how I told them it would and why I did not need this procedure. I felt completely unheard and that they were only there to make money. When I talked to the 'higher ups' on this case, they said I could have just went elsewhere. I did. I will never again step into an Aurora Health Center and will make sure I can share this with every person I can. So they are not pushed for unnecessary procedures and walk away with huge bills to pay.

Enrico Ng

Went to urgent care. A medical student helped me for most of the time, she was very friendly. However, the PA was a little condescending. I was seen very quickly, it seemed like a lite day. However once inside, it was very slow, I was there for hours for seemly no reason. I was shocked at the bill I got though. The PA's rate was on the high side, around $300 (insurance rate). Typically, I'd expect closer to $100-$150 (insurance rate). However, you then get slapped with a "facility fee" which costs another $100 (insurance rate). Must urgent care's that I goto cost me about $200. This one ended up being $400.

I had to have emergency surgery for a kidney stone the day after Christmas, and the doctors and surgical staff was some of the best care that I've ever had! They made me and my family feel comfortable with the procedure and setting our minds at ease. Thank you again for your great service. I work in health care myself, and I was treated the way I knew I wanted to be treated. With kindness and care.

Mike Freshline

I suffered a serious neck injury 3 weeks ago today. I was a patient in the hospital for 1 week, 2 of those days in Intensive Care after my rather extensive surgery. I have nothing but the highest praise for the Doctors, Nurses, PA's and CNAs who cared for me while I was completely dependent on them for my care. Further my care when I did become mobile continued to be outstanding. I would highly recommend this hospital for care if a choice is given and will return there if possible for any further medical needs (I live quite a ways from Green Bay and was taken there by ambulance from my local hospital). Also the follow up care and phone calls to check up on me are greatly appreciated. Overall the most positive experience (considering the circumstances) I could have had.

Dr Napier and the staff are the best. They are compassionate and explain everything in detail that I ask.

I am extremely impressed with the nursing staff and the physician that I am presently being seen by. They have been very helpful by treating me like a person and explaining in detail with words I can understand about my current condition. Thanks a million

I have been going here for many years. With 2 pregnancies, my children's Drs, my Drs, High risk OB, and imaging services. Every single Dr, nurse, and staff member is amazing. The willingness to help find out and diagnose is outstanding. The OB/GYN staff cannot be better including the high risk OB Drs. The Breast Imaging center is structured around your care and comfort. Private and personal.

The Green Brier Cafe has great food, but their cafeteria staff is so rude that its becoming a running joke at the office I work at. We are close by so often stop there for lunch. We always have stories to share about our scary interactions.
