8/7/19: Outstanding facility and after surgery care by the 4th floor team for my Lynn Marie especially Doctor Heal, nursing staff, Rachael, Anna and Kim. Highly recommend this hospital.

Just had a total right hip replacement at this hospital. The treatment that I received from the nurses,doctors,etc.. was spectacular. Not to mention that the food was great. I wish that I could go eat there regularly as their food beats most restaurants that I've been to recently. I was in a private room that may have been older but at no point did I feel that conditions were dirty. Staff paid great attention to make sure my surgical wound was clean and not infected.

I transferred to Elmbrook at 7 months pregnant from a hospital (Aurora women's pavilion) that neglected to truly care for me. I am so happy we did! The staff have been truly caring from the start. I saw Dr. Caitlin Ferron and she was so wonderful! When we first met with her she took us in the room and listened and answered all of our questions we had, we had a ton since it was our first baby. She was so sweet and compassionate and took the time to discuss our concerns that she put our minds at ease. We left with a release of tension and knew we were in great hands! We were so upset with Aurora and still in shock from what they were doing that the beginning of our 1st pregnancy experience was stressful and I dreaded going back for my checkups. This isn't how you should feel for you first pregnancy experience or any experience for that matter. Not with Dr. Caitlin Ferron, she absolutely loves the work she does and it shows, from the moment we met til the moment we met our beautiful baby girl, she had been nothing but loving and caring for us throughout the rest of our pregnancy! The entire staff cared for me compassionately during this beautiful process as well and I want to say THANK YOU for all the love, care and support. You are in wonderful hands here at Elmbrook! The only negative thing to say is the sofa bed and hospital bed were sooo uncomfortable. My husband and I were in hospital for just about 5 days and he said it was like sleeping on cardboard. With the amount we spent per night for our stay, I think we should have better beds

I have not had the pleasure to be a patient here. However, greeting the patients coming and going as valet, I am amazed at the kindness of all of the staff of this facility. Even though the patients are in pain, I can tell they are a ease with the authenticy of the staff. I have not felt more at home with my smile than any other medical providing campus. Highly recommend ♥️

Overpriced. Non-negotiable for fair market value on services. Will never use them again.

Went to the ER for possible allergic reaction to a bee sting. Nurse took me in room, never told me her name. Write down my info on a PAPER TOWEL! No chart or paper but a PAPER towel. That was wierd but also never looked at my sting just said the DR would be in. I sat there for 45 min and thankfully wasn't having an allergic reaction because no one came in. I finally went out and asked to leave. I told them that they could've at least brought me ice and benadryl. They then offered that but I opted to leave and do that at home. Initially I was having numbness in my throat that thankfully improved but it could've been worse! No one even glanced at my sting. This should've taken less than 5 min. They said they were so busy but allergic reactions are very serious, hence going to the ER. Very displeased. Should have not gone there because I was misdiagnosed previously there, but this was serious enough for a nurse to send me there.

Care received for my son's ER trips has been adequate. Afterwards is where the nightmare begins. Their ER doctors are billed separately and they never get the insurance right. Constantly blaming you for their billing and coding errors. Failure to properly submit it to the insurance companies. Leaving you going round and round on the phone for hours with rude billing ladies and your confused insurance company.

Was discharged yesterday after a 2 night stay for a hip replacement. Terrible care. My room was dirty. The food was terrible. Nursing care was mediocre at best. I have a list of inadequacies that will be reported to administration. I am an RN. My b/p was very low post surgery. I had to stop two RNs from giving me meds for hypertension. I will need another hip replacement within 2 years. I will do much better research before choosing a hospital.

After a cancer diagnosis I was referred to a radiologist at Elmbrook and made an appointment. I also made an appointment to see another radiologist at a different location for the day after the first appointment for another opinion on treatment. After going to Elmbrook and counseling with the radiologist and.............visiting with nurses and others, I canceled the second appointment. I was so impressed with everyone. That was over 5 and 1/2 years ago and my tests keep- coming back with terrific news! I would recommend them to anyone!

Horrible. I have severe anxiety and OCD and they treated me like I was crazy I'm extremely intelligent and they told me they were going to test my stool for blood and did not and then told my elderly mother that they did and it came back negative I will never go back. Extremely uncaring people that should not be in this field of work. People in this kind of work should be caring and understanding with people that have mental illness to a point I understand exactly what's going on. I will say the doctor was on point and very direct however the nurse was very uncaring her name was Julie and again I will never go back or recommend this facility for emergency care no matter if you have mental illness or anything I felt like I had blood in my stool and a lump in my throat and I paid good money to go to this emergency room and I'll never go back.

I have never been treated so kindly as I was at Elmbrook Hospital. The staff are so caring and sweet. I recommend this hospital highly. Mary the dietitian is so knowledgeable and informative and takes good care of you. The doctors are very professional and understanding. The nurses listen to your needs and you are in good hands.

I went in with Chest pains, no waiting, within a minute they had doctors and nurses attending to me. Had a excellent on-call doctor, Dr. Molly Colque. Ended up getting a stint from another excellent doctor Dr. Singh that didn't sugar coat it, just a straight shooter, what I needed.

Lack of knowing what each other is doing. Nobody seems to know how long things take. A diabetic was scheduled for a colonoscopy at 10:3am. At 3:44pm I finally left and fed him. I'm absolutely appalled at how you treat patients. Keeping in mind that's after finally leaving, since nobody knew if we should stay for results. Medical costs keep going up & service is plummeting. Only one employee seemed to care what was happening. People say the hospitals in Milwaukee suck, I beg to differ.

mike hunt

this hospital is out dated the TV sucks, it's dirty, the public restrooms stink, the air conditioning doesn't work. the environment was miserable...I wouldn't take my dog there!! They shouldn't even get one star!

Jay Siewert

Will never go back there again. I opted to prepay and after the insurance claim was filed by them they end up owing me over $700 back I have been waiting for over 12 months already. I authorized one amount to be deducted from my HSA and they withdrew an extra $80 and never even supplied a receipt of the transaction. The people were all friendly enough and helpful and the minor surgery came off without a hitch but the rates and fees they charged are obscene. If you receive any cost estimates you better get them in writing as on a prior visit they quoted one price (twice) but then tried to bill me twice as much for a mri. I'll never go back there for anything again.

Was at elmbrook with a leg infection which required infusion of antibodies every 12 hours for 5 days. I am a type 1 diabetic and take 2 different types of insulin on a sliding scale basis. Per my endrogologist my diabetes is well control. Been taking insulin for over 60 years. I developed my own sliding scale with my doctors approval. The doctor that tested me for those 5 days at the hospital would not listen to me on not insulin regiment and insisted upon ordering what he thought should be the amount and type of insulin I should be given. My blood sugars were extremely and dangerously high all the time I was there. I was even forced to stay an extra day because one of the test showed too low (I can’t remember what it was) which can be caused by high blood sugars. The only good thing about the hospital was that nurses were great

If you’re coming here for lab work as an outpatient, it’s faster and a lesser hassle (in my opinion) than Elmbrook Ascension on 17000 W. North Ave., Brookfield WI. They (main reception desk area) verbally verify the patient’s name and DOB, after entering main (east) entrance. You proceed straight ahead, jog right and left then left at the first crossing hallway. Lab is first door on your right. The friendliness comfort factor’s not really here. Maybe 8 am is too early for them? Oh well, not so uncommon.

Dear RNs, CNAs, Student Nurses, Housekeeping, & Dietary Care, I thank you all for your kindnesses and thorough care that you gave me during my recent stay on your floor. You all were very professional and courteous to me after my recent surgery for removal of a Pituitary tumor. Your service inspired me and let me know that God still works through His instruments to heal people. I only hope that I was fairly cooperative and not too gnarly at times. If/when I was, then I want to apologize if I offended any of you. I had some difficulties getting adjusted after surgery but many of you were kind, supportive and caring despite my attitude at times. I will always remember that. I understand that the “medical business” is struggling right now as politicians have created almost impossible conditions for you to do your jobs adequately and thoroughly but you met the challenge and rose above it. For that, may the good Lord always love and protect all of you as you strive to serve Him and His creatures. God bless you all as you continue to serve Him by serving others faithfully. Greg Wolak

Was directed here by my primary care doctor because they were unable to do some blood work at their office, he had called ahead to the hospital and let them know it was all I needed. Was in the place for 58mins, got placed as a level 4 paitent, billed $1,600 ( for a vitals check, and blood work, also had to turn down pain medication 3 times because i didnt need them, but the doctor was persistent to give me some). Ontop of the $600 doctor specific bill in the ER and was told they cant do anything about it. I had called and asked them to explain why I was labeled a level 4 paitent and was referred to the CPT code on my bill. When i asked then to describe that CPT code I was told "we can't tell you the definition, you can just google it and find out on the internet" What kind of customer service is that. They will do anything they can to charge you whatever they want.

I work here. We rock. Associates of Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare always strive for the best care and the best experience possible for our patients. This is clearly evident at this institution.

I recently had a tonsillectomy and I am very pleased with their exceptional level of care. The nursing staff did an excellent job at being receptive to my level of pain and the wait time for my husband was extremely reasonable. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who needs outpatient surgery:)

I went in on May 2, 2016, to have an echo-cardiogram done. I can only say great things about the people I came in contact with, the admitting personnel, and the woman that gave me my echo-cardiogram was nothing short of GREAT!!! She was kind, and thorough, and listened to what I said and cared. BUT... NOT HAPPY that I still had no results as of 5/25/16. Nor did my Doctor, and yet I received a bill in the mail for almost $800. Mind you, I have insurance, so I should not have received this. Maybe its who you deal with when you go there. ? But I don't think I will ever go back. It can't be a hit or miss situation when you go to the hospital.

*Update*** Come to find out I had a broken rib. Laying across two waiting room chairs with a broken rib is not my idea of good hospital care. I ended up going to Froedert where they gave me awesome care and did everything they could to make me comfortable.*** So I'm sitting in their emergency room right now because my urgent care doctor sent me here and its complete chaos. I have severe kidney pain and they ask for a urine sample and I come out of the bathroom and they were gone. No one directed me what to do. I never got a room. Im now back out in the waiting room laying across 2 chairs just so I can make myself comfortable with the pain. Haven't heard from anyone so I'm just about to walk out of here and to go a real emergency room. This place is a joke!

I would never recommend this hospital to anyone! Dirty hospital! I went in for delivery and was given a super bug that nearly 3 months later I am still battling. I had a creepy student nurse in L&D who would stand over my shoulder and stare at me breast feeding my baby. I got up to go to the bathroom and she asked why I was cinching my gown, my response was that I needed some dignity in my life after what I just went thru. She was also the one to pull my catheter out and spilled urine all over me. 2 months after delivery, I had a day surgery, the recovery nurse was awful! She was very drug happy. Gave me ativan for asking about my child and saying I needed to pump. Then kept giving me fentanyl against my wishes. And we wonder why this country has a heroin epidemic!

I was a bit mixed up about this hospital because they are hot and cold with me. Sometimes they seemed to look at my past history and tell me it is just this or that acting up and I walk out as miserable as I was when I walked in and thought my visit 2 nights ago was about to go the same way when I was very specific with the person who checked me in that my doctor was worried that I had a post procedural infection, but the person heard me say the word pain and told the doctor that was why I was there. Then the nurse came in and I told him again why I was there and what the person who checked me in said and that while I was in pain, that was secondary. He seemed more receptive and I started feeling a little better until the doctor came in and asked me if my pain score was still a 5. I never gave a pain score and it would have been a full on 10 and that was exactly what I told him. But then he stopped and asked me what was going on and actually gave me a chance to tell him what my primary doctor said and what I was thinking and he was right there with me. He ordered two simple tests but in the meantime gave me fluids and an iv antibiotic. While I still left as miserable as I was when I walked in, I felt about 90% better within 24 hours. So my faith in them has been renewed. Too many healthcare workers look at a chart and if they see symptoms they can fit into something that is either something you had within the past year or something chronic like anxiety. I hope someone from the hospital reads this because that has been my experience up until the great care I received the other day

So/so experience. The nurses dont come right away, and they dont even notice that equipment isnt even hooked up to thier patients! We dont live around here, but if choices permit, dont come here.

I had my total knee replacement surgery back in January and I was in great hands with my ortho doctor and the nursing staff and specialists were a great help to me gaining all the knowledge I needed to know regarding knee replacements. I so appreciate all the help and now being almost 7 mos out from surgery I'm healing up slow but I'm doing it well...thanks to my doctor at Aspen Orthopedics and the staff at Elmbrook Hospital!!

My fiancé needed surgery and our surgeon booked the procedure through Elmbrook. First and foremost, a big, BIG, B*I*G shout-out to our caring nurses, Jan and Mary. Outstanding caregivers; tender, competent and knowledgeable; instructive and big-hearted. At a time of great crisis and anxiety for my family, I cannot convey the depth of our gratitude for their aid. Beautiful, immaculate hospital. So close to the holidays, I loved the decorations of Christmas trees and festive garland along with requisite snowmen everywhere. Every person involved—from anesthesiologist, admissions personnel and all the support people we ran across all effused a level of professionalism and affability that eased a fearful moment in our lives. Thank you.

Kudos to the chef and food service staff. My stay at your hospital was made wonderful by your selective menu and tasted better than many 4 star restaurants. I wanted to stay longer just for the food! Delivery was prompt and very efficient.

I wouldn’t recommend going here for pregnant women. I had sciatica and pelvic joint pain very bad to the point where sometimes I could barely walk. I didn’t stop working until I had about 3 weeks of pregnancy left. Dr. Haswell put on my FMLA paperwork that I had “typical pelvic pain” and it was from the fetal position. Needless to say my FMLA and short-term disability were denied. If I could have worked until my delivery date I would have. This was more to stress and worry about.

I went to Elmbrook emergency room with severe pain behind my eye. One of the nurses in the admitting part of the ERs immediate suspicions was shingles. She admitted me into the ER and I waited for the doctor. He looked me over for about three minutes and decided I had a bad headache and gave me ibuprofen. When the nurse came in to check on me she couldn’t believe that that is all he felt was wrong with me. She went To consult with the doctor and ask him if he might reconsider the fact that I could have shingles. He says no he has a headache and that was that. I proceeded to Froedtert ER where they diagnosed me with shingles and gave me the appropriate medication. After contacting Elmbrook/ascension to ask them to forgive the $350 co-pay because I was misdiagnosed they refused. Thank you to Elmbrook/Ascension and their pigheaded ER doctor for the misdiagnosis that cost me $350 plus whatever my insurance was billed you, should be ashamed of yourself. If you are not sure what’s wrong with you please do not come here for treatment or diagnosis you should go to Froedtert.

My wife recently was operated on for Breast Cancer at your hospital. She received outstanding care by the entire staff. I must comment on the kind an professional manner both Dr.Chiang and Dr. Hanney treated Dolores. Thank You. Frank Lorenz
