While I was in Ascenstion Hospital, Appleton, I was given the best care. The food was good, and delivered at a reasonable amount of time. The nurses were knowledgeable and very kind. The rooms in the Fremont Tower were peaceful and comfortable.

Just called there because I received a missed call and voicemail that was garbled. Was told by the person answering the phone(rudely) that she could not help me, "They have over 5000 people that use that number and have no way of tracing it." I think there would be a better way of knowing exactly who is calling than just a general number from an establishment like that. Hope it isn't an emergency!

I went to the ER three times with horrible knee pain and was given ibuprofen and sent on my way. Over the course of several months, i finally was given an MRI and was told I had cancer. By that time, though, it was already stage 4. Thanks.

If I could rate this place with no stars I would. This is the worst care I have ever received. My child was in the Adolescent Psychiatric Unit. She never got 1:1 sessions with the therapist. She never talked to the doctor. The nurses refused to give her her medications. She was not allowed to attend programming and had to sit in her room all day with nothing to do. This is basically abuse and neglect of a patient. I am NOT happy in anyway with this hospital.

Entered main entrance, information desk was right there, thank goodness I was clueless where to go. Entry way beautiful: info desk, Grand piano, waterfall, stairway and gift shop all strategically inviting... You register right there, or someone will walk you to your destination. Loved how I was informed about every step of the way so it felt like I wasn't really waiting that long. (Surgery portion) at both my visits were very thorough, quick, and kind. Pre Surgery phone call or PACE they call it, I think I like that better than going through all history that day in case one forgets something (as I did) next day add it in. Only thing I hated when I was patient back then and now is pulled in parking lot and what greets me but... those darn speed bumps. Maybe at least shave the highest part down a bit. Bad for vehicles I don't speed.

Brenda from the Marketplace made a big positive difference in my day yesterday. She carried my coffee to the table ( I use a walker), took my dishes to the conveyer belt and was SO kind and caring. She is a real treasure. I hope she will be commended.

My experience was life changing in a bad way. When I came to have surgery in the morning, I could hardly walk the distance to the elevator. When we got to the elevator, it was Not working. So we had to walk far to another elevator and I was exhausted. The nurse never offered to get a wheel chair for me. After my craniotomy, I was in the Worst pain ever around the neck area and in recovery squirming in such pain with no nurse there or hand buzzer. I did not know why I was in such terrific pain unless my head and body were in such a thing to hold me onto the operating table. I was so sick and in pain. No one to help or comfort me. Then I was totally not able to move my left foot , ankle, leg, left arm . The nurses did not come in when they put me in a room when I pressed the call button. They brought in the thing so I could go to the bathroom but left it under me for almost an hour and a half and my back got so sore from it. I had to ring the bell to get any water to drink in my cup. Dr. Randall Johnson came into my room and didn't understand why I was so crippled or what was the matter with me. Well, he just operated on me and damaged all the motor skill nerves on the left side of my body getting the brain tumor out and wouldn't own up to any of it. duh! He got the tumor out of the meninges lining of the brain but damaged all the nerves. Thank God a woman from the office was on the ball to come up and tell me I had to go to a rehab at Mercy for 10 days since I could not get out of bed or go to the bathroom and he damaged my balance and left hamstring and I have drop foot and cannot move my toes on the left foot. I have to walk with a spastic gait. Have had to be my own doctor for 6 years and gone through hell. He should not be operating on anyone's brain. I only have half the strength in my glutes and hips so it is so hard to walk. I have to wear FLAT orthopedic shoes for the rest of my life with a custom made brace in it. I can hardly walk and now I have back problems and hip problems because of the way I've had to walk. I fall about 7 times a year. I do believe if I would have been smart enough and had a way to get to Milwaukee or Madison, I would not have had to go through the hell I've had to go through so far for 6 years this week!! The first brain surgeon was Dr. Paul from Oshkosh and he took out my first large brain tumor but never told me that he did not get it all out so it grew back within 5 years to the day pushing against my motor skills so I had no choice but to have the next one out! I'd sure day doctors practiced on me and that's what I get for going to anyone around here! Now I have to have surgery on my left foot because the toes are so crippled from trying to function and the ankle which has drop foot. It needs to turn outward and up. Lord help me with this one!! After signing those papers, you don't have a leg to stand on and then the state has to pay it all. That sucks! Life is full of hard lessons! You don't realize how important your feet are and how your toes keep your shoes on. People have no idea of how lucky they are that can walk and wear all kinds of shoes or what can be taken away from you! I would not rate any stars but had to rate something in order to let people know.

You're better off going anywhere else. Especially if you're pregnant. The doctor's do everything to force you to do things their way and don't listen. I had a nurse that wouldn't stop touching me even after yelling at her to keep her hands off. Seriously just go somewhere else. They also did nothing for my pain when I've gone there.

Horrible Horrible Horrible I will NEVER go here for ANYTHING. Thank goodness there are options out there. This hospital has ZERO regard for your comfort or needs as a human. This Doctor was overworked, and in a hurry. He was performing mt heart cath, I asked for medicine to be a bit groggy before I went into the OR, they said yes, however it never happened, nor once I was in there , I kept asking over and over, as I was strapped down to the table. they never gave me anything, I ended up being awake during the heart Cath, to the point where I was crying because it hurt so much. going through the rest I could feel it going through my shoulder and no one in the room had any regard for my comfort or what I was feeling or going through, and that was just the beginning, later in recovery they took off my wristband to quickly and I hemorrhaged all over, only for people to come in running and screaming to try and make it stop, then would not give me zero pain medication to help with what felt like a baseball bat smashing my wrist, , however the doctor did mention to give me vicaden !!!! the nurse turned and looked at him and said she’s allergic to vicaden , . The nurses asked my doctor what do you want us to do with her should we send her upstairs, which is language for admit her, he looked back at them and said she’ll be fine and turned around and walked out the door, they all looked each other had a small discussion of what to do with me, and gave me some pain meds and I stayed in that bed with no one checking on me until 4 PM and this was at 9:30 AM when this started . FYI, this is the short version of what really happened . Lori 4/8/2019

Have been trying to get this hospital to own up for prescribing the wrong meds. All we get is sorry there’s nothing we can do, on top of the rudest patient relations experience. Day 3 and no one has returned my daughters phone call. The whole situation has been horrible for us. So now I’m going public hoping they will care enough to do something about the mistake they made. There’s a lot more to the story and if I wrote it all, people would be shocked and confused like we are.

Ally Burke

Beyond confused with this facility. My son was admitted for suicidal thoughts and tendencies. He was admitted to the behavior health unit floor 5. During his time here he was prescribed one medication for "anger". We visited yesterday talked with a worker and we all agreed he is not ready to come home. Today I get a call stating he is all of a sudden. Ready. What changed in not even 24 hours? The staff is up and down. Some are respectful and kind some need to learn how to be respectful and kind. The doctor there is a huge joke. She is one who gives you the least respect and insight. She also will tell you this has that are untrue. I had to call a supervisor on her for stating that it is NOT the law to allow a service dog for a person with a disability. That the law is untrue and she can basically over ride the law because it's "her floor" well she was wrong. She also stated it was policy.... Well she was wrong with that too. I don't understand this place. They are of no help and need to have some sort of retraining or get help themselves so they can treat family's and their children with more compassion during these hard times. I wouldn't recommend anyone bringing a child here for help. There are other places that have better kinder staff and a more kind honest doctor. This place will leave you frustrated and speechless.

Cynthia Mueller

A particular receptionist in the Diagnostic Lab is generally rude and disrespectful.

Emma Willis

It was decent, Id give it 2 and 1/2 if I could. The people in the hospital as in the staff (guides) were very unorganized and not well developed as a structure. I had something called a delayed discharge and the worst thing about that, was they did not even contact my parents with the decision. So when it was literally told to them, my parents were outraged. And a lot of the staff (guides) would have different rules. This is a short term facility yet they kept me there for about 7-8 days? I do not understand that. Another thing is the whole structure to it, and we could not even hug our own friends that were leaving us. Not to mention all the ¨Un written¨ rules they had. The only thing I really got out of this was some help, and not even from the staff (guides), the only people that even helped me really were the other children there. They provided more support and help then the regular staff (guides) even did in the first place. I really think something that also needs to be more well developed is all the extra room time we had, I stayed there from December 6th to the 13th so it may be different now, but I doubt it. I think all the staff really really needs to be on the same page at least for the rules. Seriously, the only good thing about this place are the kids. I would never send my children here or hope anyone does again, not to mention the Day Treatment they wanted me to go about 2 hours out of my city for, every day and back. How do they even expect that. And lastly, the fact that I barley got 5 minutes to talk to the Doctor they had there, and I only had 1 visit with the counselor there throughout my whole time of staying in the facility.

Terrible service. No other way to put it

Janna Blackwell

Poor St. E's, don't know a good thing when you got it. I don't even recognize the staff there anymore, there's been such a massive turn over. I would never come here even if my life depended on it. You can't even be loving and kind to patients! Lord knows people need love now more than ever. Too bad.

Evelyne Loffler

Got there 15 minutes late because of a snowstorm.Lady at the desk told us,that my son can't see the doctor anymore, even though there were absolutely no other patients and that we should make a new appointment. So we were driving all the way to Appleton for absolutely nothing, and the worst was, the ladies behind the desk didn't even care one bit. Definitely the last time they have seen us there!

Mary Gavin

Stay far away from this hospital. Understaffed and the staff forget things. Went there because I was uncontrollably vomiting. Doctor told me to stay until I could handle swallowing liquids. Staff got switched and I was told I could leave without trying to swallow any liquids. Ended up continuing to vomit uncontrollably back at home. Never going back. ***Edit*** To add insult to injury, their billing department is very messed up. There is no communication between their IT department and actual billing staff. I was receiving repeat bills in the mail that I had already paid off. I would look online and it would say they were not paid. I would call customer service and they would say they were paid and the IT department is 'struggling' with their website. Your IT department should know how to code a basic payment website. Kind of comes in the job description. Overall, very unprofessional.

Sarah DuFour

Excellent staff!! My son is anxious when visiting the ER, and he also has sensory processing difficulties that come with his Autism. Everyone was so accommodating and spoke thoroughly to him. He is very intelligent so I think he knew what they were saying. Awesome place.

Charlie Kilgas

My wife delivered our baby at St. Elizabeth's and we have received nothing but kindness and love from all the staff there—from receptionists, to nurses, to cafeteria staff, to doctors, to staff answering phone calls. I am sure we came into contact with over 20 staff, and every single one of them truly made our baby delivery and postpartum experience comfortable and enjoyable. We both said we would do the same thing at the same hospital over again (with our next baby); we couldn't imagine a smoother experience.

Fay Armstrong

Our experience with St. Elizabeth and Affinity Medical was horrible. My husband was bit in the leg by a spider. This caused a blood clot in his leg. He spent the weekend in the hospital, after an ER visit and numerous doctor visits. They did nothing for him while in the hospital except give him pain killers. He suffered another 4 months, in excruciating pain, missed alot of work. We finally ended up going to Prevea in Green Bay. The 1st thing the doctor asked.for was an ultrasound from Affinity. Guess what.. they never did one. So, we had one done. The doctor was immediately abke.to tell that all of his veins in his leg were not working and had to be removed. Surgery not too long after that. Had St. Elizabeth done what they should have done, it wouldn't have gone this far. Now St. Elizabeth is sending us bills for making things worse. We will never go there again.

Linda Benzel

My experience with Dr.Joseph McCormick still distresses me. He did my right and left hip replacements. My right hip from the beginning popped and gave way in certain positions. At times this can be quite painful. My left hip completely dislocated three times which is very painful. The last time it dislocated I arrived at St. Elizabeth's ER around 1:45 and the ER doctor told me he was uncomfortable with trying to pop it back in and he called the on call surgeon who was my surgeon. He did not come in until around 9:00 in the evening. No explanation, no I am sorry for your wait. My therapist advised me never to bend over to pick anything up from the floor because of my right hip and has accessed me between 40 to 60% disabled. a comment made by another surgeon was that DR. McCormick was a nice man who uses outdated procedures. Please be careful when choosing a surgeon.

This is the hospital that I grew up going to, and I always had great service every time I came in for my check-ups. Fast forward a decade or so, and they are now staffed with the most blatantly rude, disrespectful, and negligent receptionists, nurses, and doctors. I have no idea what happened, but whoever hired all of these people must go. I don't need a friendly automated response, because clearly nothing has changed as you can see by the reviews. Almost every review for the past year has been one star. I've switched hospitals, my brother has switched hospitals, and my parents, as of this week, are now switching hospitals. The staff may not lose sleep over the loss of one patient, but once every last patient has had enough of this place, I'm sure they'll reconsider their behavior. Fix your hospital.

Peggy Gerrits

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. My daughter came in last week with a severe and painful outbreak of oozing sores on neck and chest. They basically looked at it and said she needs to see a dermatologist and proceeded to give her a phone number for a doctor no longer in business and gave her walking papers. Very dismissive attitude. Lots of pain till she went to see another doctor who found out she has MSSA - a very BAD STAPH infection. I've seen it happen time & time again - not given time of day due to type of insurance. I don't want to give you a star, but it won't let me post it unless I do.

My wife had a CT scan and a liver biopsy. From the registration at 11:15 AM to the release at 6 PM, everyone was very pleasant, experienced, demonstrated excellent team work, and took the time to answer any questions. This include the volunteers who escorted us to the room, the nurses, aids, PA's/NP's and MD. They were all caring and compassionate.

My dad was a patient there. His lungs were not working properly so he was not in the right state of mind, and when he had got up to go use the bathroom, my mom and a nurse went to get a male nurse to help get him out, well that male nurse grabbed my father by his arms and said loudly, get out here boy as he shoved my dad out. My step mom got mad and spoke up to him. My dad's nurse was rude to us and to him. The doctor was rude and never asked if we had any questions. Will never go back here & I recommend anyone who has a sick family member to not to. If you do, make sure they don't treated like this!!!

Alan Purath

I had a reaction to medication in my pain pump and was admitted into St. Elizabeth's on April 5th. I was having a very rough time and would like to send a very special thank you to Crystal who helped me get through some of the roughest moments of my life. I wish I could set up a time to come in and personaly thank her now that I am feeling somewhat normal again she is sweetheart but I have no clue how to get in touch with her. Also a big shout out to nurse Cheryl for advocating for me with the doctors. No one usually understands my pain and what I go through but these 2 are the best. Alan Purath

Of course, our experience has just begun with St. E's, as you call it, but I just left the emergency dept a few hours ago. I feel we were very well taken care of. Everyone we had contact with treated us with the utmost respect. Due to an insurance snafu, my friend's admission was delayed. Throughout that time the staff frequently checked on him. Assuring he was stable and comfortable. They brought him food. They explained everything that was going on and kept us updated. Within minutes of being admitted, he was on his way to a room. The ER was quite busy, as I would think it often is. Calm, cool, collected. Everyone doing what needs to be done. So far, I can't say enough good things about our experience at St. Elizabeth's. Hard job. They do it well.

Joe Vanevenhoven

This past week, my wife delivered our third child at St. E's in Appleton. We were so impressed by the clinical expertise and caring staff during our hospital stay. I highly recommend Ascension's OB group in Appleton.

Worst hospital ever! I am shocked that they can mess up so badly and so repeatedly and get away with it. They really should be shut down.

I was recently admitted for a total knee replacement. From the moment I stepped into the SPA until discharge I was treated with kindness and respect. My questions and concerns were addressed and answered promptly. The food was great and ordering off the menu is a very nice touch. The rooms in the Fremont tower are excellent, the bedside lighting and window shade control are nice too.The staff was always courteous and willing to find an answer if they didn't know it off hand. If there was one downside....it seemed to me (on night shift)...the nurses were understaffed.

Amber Durrant

The doctors I've seen here are always great... they are nice & very helpful. I see Dr. Garcia on the 3rd floor sports medicine & he is amazing. He has done so much to help me with ongoing back & hip problems.

We had feverish kids during our family trip in Wisconsin. As visitors from out-of-town with a stroke of luck, we found Dr. Stephen Marquis at St Elizabeth Hospital Children’s Health Center. The front desk check-in was courteous and smooth. Like in other childcare’s hospital, the environment was clean and kids-friendly. The best part was that both the nurse and the doctor saw our kids right away. Each of them took their time asking thoughtful questions, while making sure our kids were at ease. We could not ask for better providers !

Rachel Marek

I've had the unfortunate need to see many doctors and nurses at many hospitals. This hospital is incredible. Amazing nurturing caring nurses. I swear they're so good they have to be angels and the doctors were amazing. Thorough treatment. And the facility itself is fantastic

I’m not always super impressed with emergency rooms. They’re slow, which is typically an annoyance for all visitors, but it is what it is. When I was there most recently, it was life threatening and the staff was lightning fast. Everyone was calm and collected, but did a phenomenal job to be act quickly. It was only later - the day after when I woke up from surgery - that I realized more what could have happened without proper emergency care. The subsequent inpatient hospital care wasn’t my favorite, but neither was the situation... which was more likely to blame than the staff. If it ever becomes necessary in the future I would confidently go back to St Elizabeth’s with my family in an emergency.

Haley Hawkins

Every time I do have to come to St Elizabeth's hospital I get the best care. The staff is kind and compassionate and you can tell they love what they do. I went to the emergency room last week and had Dr. Goodman and he is a really good guy. He made sure I understood what was going on and what my options were as far as care was concerned. I also see other doctors throughout the hospital for primary and pregnancy care and I couldn't say better things. Dr. Christopher Wagener in OBGYN is the best, and really cares about you. I would recommend this hospital to anyone.

I want to thank the hospital for the compassion they showed to my dad in the CCU during his last week of life. Myself and one other sibling (with our kids) could only make it there one day and the male nurse was letting us know what was going on.

Update from original review. Issue resolved. My wife had a 20 week ultrasound last week for our first born that is due June 2018. Our technician was extremely kind and made for a great experience. The only hiccup came when we learned they did not have a printer with their machine, because we were not on the regular OGBYN floor. If your ultrasound is ordered from a doctor that practices outside of st. E's, be sure to mention your intent to obtain photos. After the fact it was great to have St.E's work with us to make sure we had everything we needed to remember our special day. Can't wait until June, when we will return in order to welcome our new baby.

I go to the SPA area for an IV infusion for rheumatoid arthritis and the chairs in that area are very uncomfortable, especially as it takes 5 hours for the infusion. It would be very nice to be able to relax during these infusions.

Joshua Sanders

Can I give zero stars for a review? My father met his deductible last year and should have had his two extremely similar heart concerns managed in one procedure, especially considering the blockage that the catheters found. That is operating under the assumption that their MD (Dr. Enoh) perform a more comprehensive and thorough plan of care. Too much of an assumption I guess. Instead, it's a new year and a new insurance cycle and will cost my parents far more than it should. It's a shame when the cardio unit cares more about insurance company than the patients. Actually, more than a shame. It's absolute horse manure. I'd love an email or explanation to explain to a concerned family member why this wasn't managed properly in the first place. And don't just respond to this review so you can save face with the rest of the public deciding on their decision to come here or not. Save your time, look elsewhere, folks.

Cora Fadigan

When we came there my husband was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. They admitted him and then he had a massive heart attack! Knowing he needed immediate bypass surgery, they scheduled a chopper to get him to Milwaukee. His surgery was extremely complicated and he was touch n go but they stabilized him so he could make the trip. These are good and caring people who also know their stuff. I would recommend St Elizabeth's to anyone! My husband is on the mend thanks in part to their abilities to stabilize him and not being too arrogant to recommend another hospital. Like I said; knowledgeable and extremely supportive.

Nate Hilt

Excellent!

Melanie Roskom

Worst Doctor ever, I was I serious pain and the doctor comes in and said nothing is wrong with me and I'm making this all up and discharges me. I will never go there again. I can not believe how rude of a doctor he was.

Kandice Swanson

Rude, unpleasant staff. Long long wait time for admit when they were expecting us. Horrible to access due to construction making an already stressful situation worse. Go anywhere else if possible!

L A Thomas

When you have a child who is in the hospital and you're working.... you expect the doctor to contact you back at one of MANY optional times that you have provided. My daughter's follow-up care appointments were bashed I never did speak with the doctor. I need several complaints about it and no one contacted me. It was devastating. The care my daughter receive made her condition much worse and it actually turned into a SEVERAL months long ordeal!

Aidan Norman

The better Ascension hospital. I was in the new tower. The food was good, the nursing staff was caring and the doctors were great. One physical therapy nurse was bad the rest tried to help. I tend to avoid Ascension hospital if possible.

Cindy Brigman

My daughter was admitted to the adolescent psychiatric unit in May. She was suicidal, and had been through multiple appointments with a local psychiatrist to try and get her medications under control. Her experience at St. Elizabeth's was terrible. MY experience as a parent with St. Elizabeth's was terrible. The psychiatrist that was responsible for "helping" my daughter spent less than 15 minutes with me, and the psychologist was extremely condescending toward my depressed and anxious teenage daughter. I specifically asked for a phone call and meeting from the treating psychiatrist when my daughter was released. I had some serious concerns with the medication they put her on. I NEVER saw the psychiatrist, nor did she ever return my calls. Our bill was of course out of this world. As any parent with a child suffering from a mental illness may understand, the medical bills for the year were out of control. So, because I had MULTIPLE medical bills, and my insurance had processed the majority of them WRONG, I was waiting for my insurance to correctly process my claims before I began paying St. Elizabeth's Hospital. I was very near my $3,500 deductible for my daughter, and wanted to be sure all of my bills had processed appropriately before I began sending money. Summary: Release from hospital in May, hospital submitted bill to my insurance in May, insurance paid all related bills (more than $12,000) in mid-late June. I received all EOBs and began reviewing ALL of my daughter's medical bills and claims....made payment in August, and they sent my bill to the state collection agency in September. Wonderful facility...absolutely wonderful.....I will drive my daughter to Chicago to be admitted to a hospital if ever the need arises before I would step foot in this facility. The care was terrible, the after care was non-existent, and their billing department is out of control. And YES, I have file a formal complaint.

Nadiesky Ruiz

The worst doctor and the worst nurse in all my life. Terrible experience in this place.

Seth Ford

Overall it was a great experience, my stay of 8 days in the psychiatric facility was successful and I am stable again thanks to the amazing staff members and fellow patients.

Wes Rossal

A complete failure of the nursing staff to respond to a doctors emergency order for a chest tube insertion in a timely manner lead to the death of my partner of 9 years. A procedure that should have taken 5 minutes took at least 20. How much needs to be paid to get people to care? Update 4/28/18: Note how unlike other negative reviews the hospital does not want to respond to mine. I also became aware that normally such information about deaths like these are shared among local hospitals. One local hospital found it very odd and suspicious that they had they had not received notice of this incident when I mentioned it to them. This place KNOWS how badly they screwed up, and are trying to bury it. Stay the hell away from ascension. They even have the nerve to keep sending me his bills. Update 6/28: The state of Wisconsin caps non economic damage from wrongful death so low no lawyer will consider my case. Having no other option, I returned to the hospital to file a complaint over his "care". I spoke to one male, one female, both identifying themselves as leading executives at that location. After hearing who I was there about and the errors I believe were made, they did not engage me in any way. They become hostile, and immediately called security and ordered me to leave the building. This is as blatant a cover up as it gets. If you value the safety of your loved ones, avoid ascension at all costs.

We used this hospital for check ups and the birth of our son. I cannot say enough about the staff in these departments. From day one of the first appointment my wife and I were treated with top notch service. When the big delivery day came everything went as smooth as it could thanks to the staff. The birthing rooms were very well updated and the equipment all looked new. We had a couple extra days in the NICU, which was scary for us the parents, but the quality of service was just awesome. I have literally been bragging to my other friends about our experience and how they should switch to this hospital. A+ all the way around. Thank you to everyone that helped us with our little guy!!!

i was denied there up in psych ward bc of last before i went i i thought with appleton police so they had help bring up.

Worst hospital ice ever been in qaited a total of 45 mins in tears the whe time to see a doxtor for two seconds to just give me two meds i cant even fill because its a goilday weekend then called back to see wht they want mw to do and they only thong they could say is go to another town to find a pharmacy thats opened. Didn't give me anything for pain anyway worst visit ever. Will never go there again.

Michele Ebel

Cafeteria is AMAZING!! Jim, sautee chef is fabulous-should get a raise!!!!!!! Love the quality here!

Abby Garvett

If I could give zero stars, I certainly would! My son almost died in their care! Several months of " oh, it's a stomach bug" , then he " had food poisoning" , then "camplobactor" and NONE were correct, he had Crohn's Disease and lost a large part of his intestine due to their inability to diagnose and not listening to the parents wishes. Finally, WE ( my husband and I ....not the doctors ) for him into Children's in Madison, checked him out of St. E's and headed down. He was diagnosed and treated within days when at a good facility, that knew what they where doing!! I wouldn't send my worst enemy to ANY place affiliated with Affinity Medical Group or St. Elizabeth's Hospital!

All staff were friendly and helpful. Doctor was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and sensitive as we were told our baby had died. It was a very rough time for us, but the staff and doctor went out of their way to help and make the process as hassle free as possible. They even called our insurance company for us to see what the best options were, moving forward. I highly recommend

I've been at St Elizabeth numerous times over the last 5 years for major surgeries, exams, procedures, treatments and was very happy with each visit. The staff is always very professional and the fact I always leave alive indicates their high level of expertise.

Very disappointed with staff and service in pulmonary/out patient testing. Two appointments (six weeks wait each) and both times left in waiting area for couple hours with no service. Missed half days work for each appointment, to be forgotten . I am struggling with my 5500.00dollar deductible ,so I'm under the impression money is a big factor for this problem.

My husband is currently a patient in ICU and has been there several days now. I cannot say enough good things about the care he is receiving while a patient there. The staff is knowledgeable, pleasant and respectful to both my husband and myself. His Dr. has been wonderful. My family's experience with this hospital has been excellent and I would highly recommend them.

My daughter was choked and beat up by the security at the Mental Health unit. She had to sit in the ReFocus room for hours and hours with nothing to do. This is the worst facility I have come across. I do NOT recommend this place to ANYONE!

This is regards to the Heart and Lung Center. I waited 3 hours to see their cardiologist. The cardiologist didn't know how to use his computer. All of us patients waited, and waited and waited. While waiting, a disabled man in a wheel chair started screaming at the desk personnel. He wanted his appointment. Well the staff cancelled his appointment without telling him. He started banging his cane on their desk, screaming at them for his appointment. I left, this place is NOT the place to get health care. I left the hospital completely. I recommend Prevea in Green Bay, or Froedtert in Milwaukee for cardiac care. Additional to reply: You laughed in my face when addressed by the management, enjoy your public review.

I went to the ER with belly button/abdominal pain. They did a CT and couldn't see anything, so they sent me home still in pain. Today the pain is much worse. I called the ER and they said to follow up with my dr. I see my Dr in a week, so my pain gets worse and they tell me to go to my dr in a week. I think this is horrible. My pain is getting worse, i asked for someone to look again at my CT from yesterday, and the nurse said they probably wont find anything!!! Something is wrong and i'm pissed!

It is a hospital so you want to avoid going if you have to, but hey if you get sick or something, this place is great!

I am absolutely appalled. I have been going here for the past several years for the same problem. I always thought I could trust my doctor and the medical industry. No. For over 5 years I have had the same horrible sharp stabbing pain in my right side under my rib. Every time I went to see any medical staff I was never taken seriously. It doesn't matter what my age is or what I look like. What matters is caring for your patient regardless of looks, age, religion, race, creed etc. Mmm girl. Every time I went I told them where I was feeling the pain, the severity, and when it gets worse. I have received over 10 ultrasounds, 2 cat scans, multiple blood tests, pee tests, sseveral emergency room visits. Every time I asked for certain blood tests I was never taken seriously due to my age. The physicians that were supposed to take care of me as a patient should lose their jobs and not be able to practice medicine. At the age of 21 my liver is failing. This could have been easily caught years ago when I went to the doctor for the first time in tears over a sharp stabbing pain in my side. Over the years I have had to cut foods out of my diet that made me physically sick. First I had to cut out red meat at the age of 18. Then when I was 19 I had to cut out dairy. At the age of 20 I was diagnosed celiac. I had to cut out all gluten/wheat products. Now at 21 I have had to cut out all sugar, caffeine, anything that irritates me. I was able to eat these foods years ago.. What happened? Every time I went to the hospital. They would try to rush me out as fast as I got there. They would blame it on ibs, Abdominal pain, stomach pain, being sick etc. Even worse every time I left they would prescribe another antibiotic. I would be left with no many questions every time I went. Never to be given any answers. Instead I was asked if I was depressed. Yes. This whole situation with my physical health made me very sad. It made me sad that so many people trust their doctors when their doctor is really just looking for a paycheck. The doctors I dealt with every time were NOT looking out for their patients best interests. Prescribing your patient specific antidepressants and antibiotics and pills that cause liver issues, liver cirrcohis, and liver failure.... Again. I'm 21 my liver is failing. Think twice about your doctor and hospital options. Also if you have a sharp stabbing pain in your right side under your right rib do not trust your doctor. Get outside help. * I only put 5 stars to get my review out to more people.

Admitted for a procedure 07/12, not prescribed antibiotic for an ongoing infection although without it I re-infected within a day or two, then I was readmitted 7/18 with sepsis. The attending doctor at 7/18 was a jerk.

Called the hospital for a fax number. Kevin, who answered was a tad condescending. I would give one and a half stars , if I could, since you never know what someone's going through.

The adolescent inpatient treatment unit of Saint Elizabeth's was an awful experience for me. Throughout my whole stay, they bombard you with rules and regulations, and the entire place made me feel confined, and some of the staff treated the patients more like prisoners than anything. It was unacceptable. Some of the staff were thoroughly good people, but I've seen situations where nurses would go from 0 to 100 over something extremely small. Some of the young children were treated terribly. In my unit, two boys were sent to the refocus room for high fiving. Additionally, during room check, they walk in, flick the lights on with no warning, and roughly lift the entire mattress too look under it WHILE you were occupying it. After asking some of the other patients, I observed that most people there had the same experience. The girl I was roomed with wasn't supplied with her medication for a few days, and they gave her new medication without any parental permission. When some of the patients opened up about emotionally abusive parents, the nurses and group leaders would almost always defend them. Over all, I despised my short residency on the Level 5 inpatient unit. With more leniency and kinder, more understanding staff, I believe the whole place would be a little bit better.

ascension health has destroyed the reputation of this hospital with a negligent scheduling system. Two years of my doctor , hospital staff, and myself trying to get medical tests done without result. i will be involving the State of Wisconsin and putting in a complaint with them !!!!

I was in a boat accident doing 40mph in June of this year. Cracked my head open and required stitches. Also required an X-ray for what looked like a broken arm. I knew I had a concussion. The registration gal in the ER spelled my name incorrectly several times before I finally just put the bracelet on. Then 4, yes 4 staff members looked at my printed chart (with misspelled name) asked me to spell it back to them, and not ONE caught that it was incorrect. The triage nurse was rude, unsympathetic, and blatantly arrogant, going as far to say “well that tells me nothing” when I would attempt to answer questions. Then I sat in the exam room for over an hour, with blood dripping down my head into my neck, holding a dirty lake water shirt on it. No offer to clean it, no concern. I was told that CTs are usually done for head injuries involving alcohol but because I could follow her finger and didn’t seem intoxicated that I was fine. I was also told the X-ray of my arm showed “something” but it’s fine. Mind you I’m being treated by an ortho nurse in the ER. I was told I needed a tetinis shot even though I stated I’d had one and was current. I asked for a copy of my X-ray. Was given it. Then waited another 45 minutes for someone. So I walked out. I was followed out by a nurse who ushered me back inside for this tetinis shot I didn’t need. I was given ZERO discharge instructions for stitch or wound care, no brace for my arm, no pain medication and was given a note stating I could return to work the next day. I was told to buy an ace bandage and if I wanted to save money I could take my stitches out at home. I WAS THERE FOR OVER 4 HOURS. While I listened to staff talk about lunch plans and date nights in the hallway. I immediately went to Aurora where I was given another X-ray, a wrist brace for 3 weeks, wound care instructions, and pain medication. I’ve continued to suffer side effects of the concussion. I’ve been I. Healthcare for 10+ years. My family, for decades. This was obscene and completely unacceptable. I’m in the process of taking care of a claim with the state.

Despite the name I have above this is a genuine review About I’d say almost a year ago or a year exactly I had nothing but issues with this hospital at the time and then it just got worse when I had a blood draw the day after a IV session I had scheduled. Asked the nurse if it would be okay that before I was to take my infusion that I’d have my blood drawn ahead of time to save another trip to get another needle when it could be done ahead of time so I’d just need to see the doctor for the verdict and they said it was okay. Took my blood and then went the rest of the time there as it usually was. Next day go in and I’m told my blood samples were lost. How the hell do you manage that... and if that wasn’t even bad enough they took more than you’d normally take just to “make sure they don’t lose it again” and then to top it off I waited about 2 hours after to hopefully see the doctor finally and to just be told I’ll be called instead so I could head home. Amazing how it couldn’t be told to me in advance Word of advice stay away from the cancer center where they draw blood and the spa where they do infusions this is where I had all my problems Oh and for the record if you are curious The bills are way to ridiculous and the fact I’m charged this much despite being the most unsatisfied with their service I could be just pisses me off even more. Might not be my job to price these appointments and medications but damn you could at least give me a proper visit that doesn’t involve me debating the option to just NOT get infusions. Glad I got the surgery makes me never come back here again

This hospital has good service and care. I have been here for different procedures and have always been taken care of well. I will even drive the 30 extra minutes out of my way to go here. The ER dept. is above average. There is a nice outside garden area and water fountain next to a newer addition.
