My mom was admitted here after being transferred out of a SCRMC due to them being full. We were a little anxious about coming to Amery because we had never been but I would definitely consider doctoring here in the future even though its further from home. Every single staff we encountered was very kind, helpful, and pleasant. The nurses and doctors were genuine about their care and very patient and kind, answering any and all questions without making us feel dumb, as we've unfortunately experienced in many other hospitals over the years. (I hate even going to see doctors because they make you feel dumb all the time.) I went to the cafeteria to get coffee on our second morning there and the food service lady who delivered food to my mom the day before recognized me and genuinely asked how I was, and then asked me how my mom was doing. The staff asked me, a family member, if I needed anything multiple times throughout the stay. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and did everything they could to best take care of my mom. Can't say enough good things about the whole experience. Being in the hospital is never fun, but ALL of the staff, the nurses, doctors, house keeping, cnas, food service, pharmacy, greeters, literally every single one we came in contact with, were fantastic from the minute we walked in (at 3am). Thank you Amery Hospital staff for taking exceptional care of my mom!
