Average Rating:

DESCRIPTION

Here we offer you all the opinions of people who purchased the services of Amery Hospital & Clinic (Hospital) near Wisconsin.

Nowadays this firm receives a score of 2.3 stars over 5 and this rating is based on 16 reviews.

As you can see its rating is really insufficient, and it's founded on a very large number of opinions, so we can be quite sure that the valuation is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to leave their score when they've done well, it works.

As you know, we do not usually stop to place opinions when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...

This Hospital is included in the category of General hospital.

REVIEWS OF Amery Hospital & Clinic IN Wisconsin

I went to E.R. in extremely bad head pain.It was not a migraine, it was sharp, stabbing pains. The lady Dr. gave me an anti-inflammatory med! I laid there nearly 2 hrs. in horrendous pain after the med. It didn't help my pain at all! She was the most un-proprofessional Dr. I'd ever seen! I refuse to go back to ER or the clinic. They are supposed to relieve pain and attempt to find out the cause. She did neither.

Surprise billing is a true thing at Amery Hospital and Clinic. 1. Yes, they will set up a second appointment for you without you agreeing, and yes, you will be billed for this. 2. The wait is for real. My second time in it was so bad I had to time it. 43 minutes waiting, 7 minutes doctor patient time. 3. Common practice like this is the major failings in the medical field, driving people like me from seeking $313.00 for less than 10 minutes doctor time? Doesn't feel like me health was priority. Next time I will be trying a private practice.

Scheduling desk was disappointing. I called 1/15/2018 at 9pm and made an appiontment with a doctor for 1/16/2018 at 8:00am. Husband gets there with kid at 7:40am. Instead of telling my husband (who is there) that this doctor doesn't see children under the age of 16, they call me (wife) at work at 8:00am. I tell them my husband is there. Talk to him and hang up. Husband told me they can get him in at 8:20am. I'm thinking good! But then 8:40am comes around and nothing. Husband goes up to ask what's going on. They proceed to tell him that they called me and rescheduled for 9:40am (this is was not true). I was not called to reschedule again after the initial call. They also told my husband that when i called yesterday 1/15/2018 at 9pm at night, i scheduled the appointment for that morning 1/15/2018 at 8 20am (which has passed). I told my husband to leave and go back after work. When we got there the doctor and nurse were very nice to our family and even gave my husband a 25 dollar gift card for the inconvenience. I did call Vicki at the number listed below who is also going to help the staff with processes to resolve issues like this going forward. I have always gone to this hospital and clinic and truly think they care. This morning was a little rough, but it has been resolved. There efforts were appreciated.

My friend was admitted to this Hospital due to her pains stemming from a car accident. Instead of keeping her there until proper medical treated could be provided at home, they treated her like she was a burden, informing her that she "had got to go" with aftercare provided. I will be checking up on my friend when she is in my care. If her condition worsted because of her stay at this hospital I will be seeking damages, including those needed to transport her. Do.Not.Go.Here.

The Doctors do not call with any reports. They order expensive tests and call 2 weeks later. The person calling with the report can not answer any questions as they are not qualified. Policies around medical records are antiquated only to serve their privately held hospital.

My mom was admitted here after being transferred out of a SCRMC due to them being full. We were a little anxious about coming to Amery because we had never been but I would definitely consider doctoring here in the future even though its further from home. Every single staff we encountered was very kind, helpful, and pleasant. The nurses and doctors were genuine about their care and very patient and kind, answering any and all questions without making us feel dumb, as we've unfortunately experienced in many other hospitals over the years. (I hate even going to see doctors because they make you feel dumb all the time.) I went to the cafeteria to get coffee on our second morning there and the food service lady who delivered food to my mom the day before recognized me and genuinely asked how I was, and then asked me how my mom was doing. The staff asked me, a family member, if I needed anything multiple times throughout the stay. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and did everything they could to best take care of my mom. Can't say enough good things about the whole experience. Being in the hospital is never fun, but ALL of the staff, the nurses, doctors, house keeping, cnas, food service, pharmacy, greeters, literally every single one we came in contact with, were fantastic from the minute we walked in (at 3am). Thank you Amery Hospital staff for taking exceptional care of my mom!

Dr Elbing is an idiot and seemed anti-Muslim.

I'm lucky my wife is still alive after being "treated" there on September 28th in the ER. The "Dr" was a jerk. He lied in his reports, which he didn't file until several days later. No doubt because the Sheriffs department had to get involved and ARMC is busy getting their lies in order.

Do not come here and expect quick, courteous service.

My wife brought our 2 year old daughter in for a severe cold and what we assumed was pink eye. The clinical visit was fine, but she later brought our daughter back in because we feared she was severely dehydrated from throwing up so much, and she would throw up or spit out her medicine. We were worried for her. Upon arrival my wife was belittled by the staff for not being able to reign in her sick child. They questioned her ability to parent and generally made the visit more painful than it already was. I think this behavior is unacceptable and reflects very poorly on both the staff, and the hospital as a whole. Watch out when seeking help here, you might get more than you bargained for.

Called to make an appointment for my daughter, the scheduling lady was SO rude, super short with me ( like im stupid) then has the nuts to hang up on me when she was gonna "transfer" me to someone else. I asked for the womans name and she wouldnt say She obviously didnt care to call back either.Definitely not EVER going to this hospital.

Like any medical facility, my thoughts and review of the clinic/hospital are physician dependant.
