Visited ER (3rd shift) June 16. I found the staff friendly, caring, and knowledgeable.

Very unfriendly staff, IMO. We were here 2 hours for a simple procedure. Sign says they don't take Medicare, so I don't know what the poor people do up here if they need emergency treatment.

Possibly one of the worst hospitals I've ever had to be treated at. Rude nurses who never check on thier patients I would never recommend this hospital to anyone

I went in for my sciatica and knee and foot as they had been swollen and painful for days. Dr Ruiz came in pushed on my back and said I'll write you a script and get you out of here. Mind you he never looked at my knee or my foot. I will NEVER go there again if he is working. Registration and nursing staff were awesome. But that Dr. Um NO. I've been to the ER several times and NEVER had a Dr to treat me the way he did.

HORRIBLE HOSPITAL!!! H O R R I B L E!!! HORRIBLE"DOCTOR'S" (if that's what you want to call them!?!) Only did one star because you have to to write a review! Rude staff! I've personally heard them talk horribly to cancer patients and their family like they are stupid or beneath them!!! Ignorance, incompetince, breech of confidentiality, ...just straight up stupidity and lack of care and concern!!! I can see why people say if they are bleeding to death pass up SRMC and take them to Charleston or Beckley they'll take their chances!!!!! Never once has a diagnosis of anything EVER been right!! They don't check people's chart and prescribe meds they are allergic too and everything! Waiting time is INSANE!!! The hospital could be empty and it's a 12 hour visit because they all stand around gossiping and making fun of patients and co-workers! They have about 20-25 huge shredding machines when you go to the back where they shred all the mistakes they make I'm sure! I'd rather be seen at the Nicholas County Animal Hospital before I'd be seen there again!!! Yes a vet hospital is better! I hope to God no one EVER has to go to Summersville Regional Medical Center! It's sad in an emergency people in Nicholas County and surrounding areas have too! I pray God is with everyone if and when they do!

I spent 10 days and nights there, the staff is great, the food could use some adjusting but very good hospital and staff and that's what counts the most, I'm blessed to have been there. Thank you all!

DON'T RISK YOU OR YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS LIVES!! The doctors are incompetent and no one should risk their life going here. Go anywhere else (Charleston, Beckley, Morgantown, etc.) I have gone to this "medical institution" multiple times due to abnormalities in my health ever since I was a kid. (Sometimes by ambulance) They diagnosed me with having panic attacks. Later in life I had moved out of state and went to another hospital due to one of my alleged "panic attacks". Apparently they misdiagnosed having a severe heart arrhythmia and needing a pacemaker for a blooming "panic attack". 15+ years of being misdiagnosed and the other doctors out of state were surprised I was even alive because of it.

The night crew was great. No issues. Thanks Everyone for doing a great job.

I guess I have to much stuff wrong with me. I hope they see this when I’m dead

They sent my wife home with blood levels dangerously low. We received no care at summersville regional medical. The doc never saw her except while he confused her for another patient. They left her alone while she bled all over herself for five hrs then discharged her. The surgeon at charelston said that if we had not gone to charelston, she would have died. I will never go to the ER at summersville regional medical center ever again. Wish I could give 0 stars.

When reporting to the Er. I had no privacy, the desk is wide open and all the patients can hear your symptons and information.theres no privacy, The staff has been pleasant and i recieved good care. When you owe a bill they dont give time do pay, they turn it right over to collections. It is alot better than Braxton memorial hospital

I fully believe this hospital killed my mother. She was sent home with very low oxygen levels and then was on breathing tubes because they refused to treat her. They did nothing to find out why she kept getting pneumonia and she had passed a way after a year of non stop fighting. this hospital should be shut down. The doctors and nurses have no care for anyone that walks through the doors. They do not check on you while you are in a room. If you ask when the doctor is coming or when you can be released they get an attitude or completely ignore you. The nurses pay no attention to the call lights. The y hold you in the er way longer then you need to be. When you ask for medication or a doctors excuse they act like you shouldn't be asking them for anything.

Have nothing but great things to say about my experiences at this hospital. Doctors were knowledgeable and caring. The nurses made me feel at ease during my overnight stay. The care I have received has been nothing short of exceptional.

I Love this hospital. I spent some time there last year and found the staff caring and considerate. They saved my life .

Jonathan Williams

One would be better off to go to a vet. Unless there has been a total change of staff and attitude not very competent or caring.
