Doesn’t give a tray to parent when staying with their baby which coming from Cabell this place is a massive step down. We also have one chair that a person can sleep on and one plastic chair and zero room for any belongings

I used to have a lot of faith in this hospital but when my daughter was admitted here we waited forever and still had to be sent to another hospital because they didn't have a doctor who could help her.

My 3 month old had a scheduled surgery to get his tongue clipped. I had my other 2 children with me because I had no other option of child care.. I was repeatedly asked why I had them or if there was "another adult" with me to care for them. They made me feel very uncomfortable about having my children with me in the waiting room and made it seem like it was an inconvenience. It was especially rude when a nurse asked me to try and call someone to come get them, and I didn't have anyone, I told them that if I had that option I wouldn't have brought them. I will continue to avoid that hospital unless it's needed.

They have good food, service, and they actually listen. One or two of the nurses I had trouble with over 18. Plus my brother was born here so I'm a little bias.

I would not recommend this hospital for labor and delivery. My son had to spend an extra few days and stayed in the nursery. They did not bath him while he was there. His hair was oily. They were rude when I called to check on him. They did not answer questions and concerns I had. Also my birth plan was not followed during delivery by the nurses. Having a baby should be a beautiful experience. I felt as if I was on a time limit. I wanted a mirror they did not do that and I also wanted to be able to get in water if needed they didn’t do that either. One of the nurses during delivery told my fiancé he could not video the birth and threatened to take his phone. I was not happy with my experience at all. I’ve had two other children at this hospital those births went well but I did not have a birth plan and my second son was premature. One of my labor and delivery nurses was very nice and polite but the whole staff should be that way. I will never have another baby here if we choose to have anymore children. My OB was great throughout pregnancy and my delivery, however the rude hospital staff ruined me ever returning to her for prenatal care.

Nurses decided they would move my broken wrist around and yell at me when I said it hurt. Everything else was good though.

I have been here 2 times in a week, dilated to 3 1/2 centimeters, can't stand up to walk without crying, and my feet are so swollen they are ready to bust ( Dr's words, not mine) they are sending me home with benadryl... Benadryl. This hospital sucks.

I love this hospital with all my heart I have had a regular cranial facial surgery and an emergency surgery and both times put me in ICU I promise if you have never had surgery there before and are planning to you will be well taken care of I have never met a rude person there before everyone is always smiling and making sure you are ok this is probably one of the best hospitals to go to

Inept. They have been reported for their lack of assistance. The local Health Dept. had to do their job.

Dr. Montgomery is amazing and so was the nurse, Katie who helped me deliver my baby. They're the only reason I'm rating it 3 stars. Other than that the staff was rude and acted like I was burden to them. They got aggravated when I told them I didn't need anymore pain medicine, saying it "would mess up their schedule". Then forgetting where they put my NEWBORN BABY while she was supposed to be in the nursery . Also tried to make me feel like my baby was there's. I know there are precautions they have to take to keep everyone safe, but it was not a comfortable stay.

Delivered my second baby there after having my first in Princeton and each staff member was so nice and caring and went above and beyond what was necessary. I would definitely recommend this hospital, and Dr. Patton. They made my entire experience much better!

I was taken to the ER at Women’s and Children’s because I was hemorrhaging in my throat while recovering from a tonsillectomy. I didn’t have to wait- I was immediately taken back as they started treating me. I had to have another surgery and remained in the hospital overnight so that they could monitor me. All the doctors and nurses were super nice and efficient!

Anytime there is something going on with members of our family we always go to Charleston. We live in Beckley, but the adults and the children in our family go to Charleston for all medical needs.

I recently had surgery here. All the way from admitting to surgery and then on to recovery, everyone was extremely nice and helpful. I was on the 3rd floor, midnight shift and day shift. All nurses were exceptional and I wanted for nothing.

We barely waited and before we knew it several doctors and staff jumped into action and treated my wife with urgency. I can't believe how professional, dedicated, courteous and compassionate the staff was! I highly recommend this facility. This is how healthcare should be. They saved my wife's life. I owe them a sincere thanks.

I'm 25 now, but when I was around 8 or 9 I had a medical condition that nearly killed me, every other hospital I went to decided my problem was caused by a mental disorder instead of a medical one, finally was brought here by my parents and discovered a birth defect was the cause, the doctors here saved my life, thank you, because of the people that work here I've made it to 25 instead of dieing at 9.

The nurse Barbara aka Bard on the NICU is very rude her beside manners are very nasty and not needed.. It's NICU for a reason and more then one baby is and will always be in there.. And so what if the dam baby you careing for ain't crying and another one is.. Keep your smart ass comments to yourself ok Barbara/Bard the RN.. Because of your rude manners the baby you was not at the time carrying for or had been for over 2.5 hrs parents thought it would be smart to be rude too.. This hospital needs to redo it's training on bedside manners and Barbara/Barb the RN needs to tend every dam one.. It is bad when other nurses agreeded and said the same dam thing I am putting on this review.. Woman's and Children's please teach your nurses not just in NICU but thru out that whole hospital better bedside manners there is a lot of people and their babies their and to see hear and be part of that not only makes you all look real but but the state to and we already don't have a good wrap for other things..

This place is awesome. I was born here and today I had my blood drawn there and the lady that was doing me and my brothers was very nice and caring. My brother has Asperger syndrome which I a form of autism and he kept asking questions because he was scared and nervous and then she was saying to calm down and it’s going to be alright and then he got it down with and same as me except I didn’t make a big deal out of it like my brother did. I really like them!!

Thank you for taking care of our son Benjamin William Cedar, he was admitted to the ICU January of this year 2018. The Dr's, nurses, and staff provided the best care possible for our son while he was sick. We want to express our appreciation to all that did an excellent job taking care of him. May God Bless u all. Love , The Cedars.

The staff is nice but totally clueless. After you are seen they spout off why and when they want to see you for your next visit and then expect you to go to several different areas and tell the receptionist why and when they want you back. I guess I'm expected to know my treatment plan from now until I deliver...I am in total confusion every time I'm there. I'm also there for hours on end. I was supposed to have weekly ultrasounds and the next thing I know I'm there for an OB/GYN visit and no ultrasound. Then the next thing I know one OB/GYN visit turned into multiple different things but I had to go to different areas in the hospital for. I got there at 8:15 and didn't leave until 12:45. When I go up to the window I get the deer in headlights look. I'm suppose to be delivering my daughter here and my first impression of them so far is totally unorganized, and that really makes me nervous.

Ped’s floor rating. Doctors were nice and informative. Accommodating resources, no. Rooms aren’t private. If second bed in room was occupied, both parents couldn’t stay with their child because of the lack of space. Even when both parents stay there’s lack of space. Better come stalked with diapers and wipes because they have NO BABY WIPES, or diapers above size 5. RN’s, CNA’s, and RT’s were nice along with cafeteria staff, but I have nothing nice to say about the charge nurse. If you have the option to go somewhere else, I would.
