Just terrible all around. The new building looks nice but that's about the only positive thing I can say. I've been here three times since the makeover and that's three too many; twice for labs and once in the ER in the middle of the night for a severe tooth abscess when I couldn't get into a dentist. The ER visit was very "robotic" and uncaring. They did what needed done and I did get some antibiotics to give me some relief, but it just wasn't a good experience. I then had a doctor's order for labs. They were to release the results directly to my doctor. They only sent HALF of them. And the registration clerk that saw me couldn't find the codes in the computer system when they were checking me in. I called to have them fax the remaining portion of my labs and was told it would be sent. It wasn't. I called back and was told it couldn't be faxed. Why wasn't I told this before I waited nearly an hour for a fax that wasn't coming? I drove 90 minutes to physically pick them up. I specifically asked the clerk if that was my complete results and she assured me it was. When I got back to the doctor, the other half of the results STILL were not in the paperwork! Ridiculous. I knew they weren't top-tier but I thought surely they could draw a tube of blood and let my doctor know what was in it! I will not be going back, and I urge everyone else to just head directly to one of CAMC's hospitals. I've had friends go in with something serious and be told it was nothing. And I've had friends go in with minor problems and be told they might have cancer. They just play guessing games here and don't care about their patients -- and giving the building a facelift will not change that.

We called tonight to speak to the doctor I had previously seen cause my symptoms were changing and getting worse and I needed to speak to my doctor and ask him what I should do. Like come in or not. The receptionist or whatever you call them hung up on my husband cause he pronounced the name of my doctor wrong. Her name was Tracy by the way or something like that. Then he called back and corrected the name he said and she was like "Are you the one who previously called?" then proceeded to say "Well we don't know anything about that." then handed the phone to a woman named Heather and she began to very rude to my husband just like the first woman. Now I understand why no one goes to this hospital. The staff is very rude. It's honestly ridiculous. It was the one on Madison Avenue and we called the phone number listed when that one in specific is googled cause it was the one we went to (for the owner of the hospital that commented). Thank you for responding by the way.

New hospital,unhuman like registration procedure,no human contact till in emergency room.FDA on building ,the agency that cares nothing about your health,or dangerous ,or contaminated medications.You are guilty of some crime,a warrent for your arrest,or under arrest,cause they want your finger prints or refuse you health services,even if you walk into the emergency room needing service !

I have never in my entire life had a great experience at this hospital they're always rude to me that's why always choose to go out of town for my ER visits when I'm really sick sad to say our new hospital and the personality of the employees are no better you can even talk to the main guy over the hospital any says he'll take care of it but nothing is never done

My throat was swelling shut completely and I had went the the emergency room. DR. THOMAS CARPENTER was by far the rudest doctor I have ever came across. He said that I didn’t need to come to the emergency room for that and continued to talk down to me as I was already crying in pain. He looked at my throat and seen the white patches and said print out a paper on sore throat and discharged me. I have never been treated so poorly by any doctor in my life.

My Mother-in-law went there when she woke up with a severe headache and confusion. Her blood pressure was really high. At the hospital they admitted her and she began to go down hill. We requested a transfer to a hospital that had more resources for critical situations. The Dr treating her refused to transfer her and called security on us. As the Dr continued the care, my Mother-in-law developed a fever, vomiting, and her bp wouldn’t stay down. She then fell into a deep sleep which she has been in for two days with little response. The Dr with the God complex doesn’t know what’s wrong with her and has fought our transfer. In our eyes she is now critical. Now the Dr is offering the transfer but says we will need to pay it out of pocket. Boone County deserves better than this Dr.. Atleast the nurses were nice!

I cannot say enough good things about Boone Memorial Hospital. I had to do some rehab about a year ago and the staff was so good to me and knew just what I needed. My Aunt was in the hospital and I was so worried about her but I knew that she was very well taken care of while I was at work and not with her. They would take excellent care of her and they did every thing to make her comfortable and at ease. The hospital is always having classes and seminars for the public to learn about their health. The new Boone Memorial Hospital is the best thing that's happened to this area in a long time.

Excellent care. Within minutes we were in an ER room, and having tests done to find out what was going on. Quickly diagnosed, and sent up to a room for observation all within about an hour or so. I can't speak enough for the staff at BMH, my grandmother would be proud to see where you all are at, and where you're going!

I LOVE Boone Memorial. They have always had nice drs and staff that worked with me. I have always been treated well and took good care of. So much better than Logan. I just don't like there not being more ppl working. I got lost trying to get out and security was a little rude at first. I ended up coming out back somewhere. There should be security at every desk to let people out as needed. I really didn't like coming outside on the back of building in the middle of night with car keys as my only defense if someone were to do something to me. Far as Dr care and nurses...they are wonderful amd try to make you feel as comfortable as possible and very nice and courteous.
