This Hospital is classified in the category of Hospital.
you're better off driving to Olympia's hospital dying or not. this place is a joke
Hours of waiting and cold uninformative service. The girls at the desk seemed more interested in gossipping than people's health, and are about 16 years old. I left after two hours of being told I'll be seen "shortly". I would hate to know what long would be. I can't afford to sit sick as a dog for ten hours before being seen. Seriously, go to Olympia. This time you take to go there, get treated, and come back is going to be much quicker than spending three hours being ignored in Centralia. The drug addict s all got attention and there cops and security gaurds running around all over. Total shitshow. I had to give a one star but in reality no stars. There's nothing g to review because I was completely ignored.
I am no US citizen and just traveling .. and my ear problems got worse and worse. I just looked up the next close by hospital and went in. I explained them the situation and after only 15 min it was already my turn.. and what happened next was just unreal for me. The kindness and love of all the lady’s working there are incredible! Not even in the best German hospital you would receive that much respect, understanding and support. Thank you so much for making this unpleasant health situation so much easier for me. I wish everyone there all the best for the future and thanks again for putting so much love into this important job !!
For two weeks I tried to get a loved one to the VA hospital. Centralia hospital would not listen to me. I finally got him there and they think it's too late. Thanks for nothing Centralia hospital. That's two family members you've done this to. Don't let your love ones be in this hospital get them out fast.
I went in with lower back pain. Made to sit in a waiting room in the ER. Never taken to a bed. Oh but they had beds open like five. Took forever to get my checkout information. Not professional at all.
I wish I could give no stars.. I've had problems with this hospital in the past. But last night was by far worst experience. I went in for multiple reasons one of which was a toothache. 3 o'clock in the morning. The triage nurse looked at me and was like "we're not s dentist office," 3 AM!!! I work a full time job how am I supposed to work if I can't sleep over a tooth ache.
Emergency Room Visits for Low Income Veterans Beware! Prescriptions from ER doctors are Not Covered by VA Medical. Contact VA primary care to have VA doctor re-prescribe medication, to be covered. Have prescription sent to Chehalis Safeway Pharmacy 1100 S Market St Chehalis Wa 98532(VA contract). For urgent weekend Emergency Room visits, Chehalis Safeway Pharmacy will give discount on ER doctor's prescriptions.
I took a family member to the ER on a Saturday, they were diagnosed with type a flu and pneumonia and admitted. Fast forward to Monday, patient put in critical care. Kidneys weren't functioning properly. Medication was given to make them work. Tuesday, patient went back out on the main floor. They served this patient beer, (per their request). Wait, what?!!! Thursday afternoon patient discharged. Less than 24 hours later, this person collapsed at home and I had to call an ambulance and insisted they be taken to St Peters! Other complications had come up that they failed to catch. If you've had good care at this place, I'm happy for you but I will NEVER use them again! I thought they could handle this, clearly not!
I love the family birthing center.
Came in on Oct 13 after work, due to having constant pain in my lower left side. It had been going on for almost a week. My Dr in Morton couldn't get me in until next Friday.. the pain was getting worse daily. When I got here, I got into triage with in minutes. After triage, I was in a room within minutes.. The nurses are very cheerful and very friendly! They got my blood work done in a jiffy. These Nurses are very through. Positive Attitudes. Clean Rooms. Not done with testing yet, but this is better than Morton, by far. High 5
Three hours in the waiting room and not a soul checking on the elderly patients in their waiting room .. what the hell is going with this? The throughput is terrible.
The first time I came in it was very obvious they could care less about the well being of their patients. The second time coming in I am beyond appalled. Nearly the bottom half of my toe has been torn off I was seen in the hospital two days prior. I came to the hospital to make sure there was no infection starting to get it redressed and hopefully come out better than I was before. They simply unwrapped my toe, looked at it, sent me away with discharge papers and a gaping wound. I had to beg the nurse to redress my toe so no debris would get inside when I was finally discharged I sat on the concrete in front of the doors waiting for my ride and was passed by at least 4 nurses who said not one word to me not even looked at me or cared to ask if I was okay.
If I could give no stars I would this place sucks don't bother go to Olympia. They just want to get you in and out you see the doctor for maybe 1 min and They are rude and very short.
Emergency room has a good group of staff members. They are very caring.
I spent six days here in early December 2017. My care began in ER, advanced to critical care and then to a private room. With just one exception, the entire medical team was exceptional. I have never been treated better. These people actually care about their patients and it shows in every move the make, every task they perform. I would bring those I love here and know they would receive the best of care available.
I was there on Friday April 22, 2017 with what turned out to be an inflamed sciatic nerve. I had surgery on March 8th, and was doing well, but woke with the pain on Thursday which did not go away, then on Friday I woke with the same excruciating pain and a fever. My neurosurgeon in Seattle told me to go to the ER. Everyone at Providence was very efficient and kind. The intake rep took my info quickly and was very kind. When the intake nurse came for me she offered a wheelchair, offered to help me walk, said to take my time, and was extremely compassionate. She got me back to a bed immediately. They set me up with an IV and the doctor came in and after examining me she set up a tranquilizer/muscle relaxant and went to call the neurologist. The nurse who took the blood was capable and the blood draw painless. I felt very comfortable and confident that I was being well taken care of, and that Dr. Kim Tuan Le and my neurosurgeon in Seattle were covering this as a team. The doctor and my neurologist made a plan which included new rx and I was dispatched with directions to do a follow up appt with my surgeon. Rather than go to an outside pharmacy I just wanted to get it done, so I asked where the one in the hospital was and started slowly and painfully walking there. On my way I asked Marie the volunteer at the West Info Desk where it was, and she insisted on getting a wheelchair and taking me there. Then she told them to call her and she would come back to get me when the rx was done. They said 20 minutes which would make it 4:10pm. That was 10 minutes after her when she was scheduled to get off, but she was determined and said she would be back. At about 4:20 she returned, we got the rx, and she pushed me to my car. I cannot express what a relief it was to not walk. My gratitude abounds and I can only hope that she receives as much love as she gives to the world. I highly recommend Providence Centralia ER. I felt safe, nurtured, and well taken care of.
One star is one too many for this joke of an ER. I've always received better care at the walk in clinic around the corner. Empty ER and I waited for 3 1/2 hours. I watched people with serious medical emergencies get sat in the waiting room. I could not believe that this hospital hasn't gotten in some trouble for this!! The nurse was horribly rude and the doctor did nothing but give me more pills. If you have an emergency, you are better off taking the drive to Olympia. You'll still wait but definitely not as long.
My friend and I were incredibly impressed with the quality of care at the Providence Emergency Room. We thought it was going to be a barebones hospital, but it was on par with our experiences in Seattle, if not better in some cases. As soon as I was seen by the Physician's Assistant, I got an EKG and chest xray within just a few minutes. We went there around midnight, and it definitely took a little while to get into a room, but once we were there, the care was excellent. The front desk staff were not friendly, but we only had to talk to them for registration.
Worst hospital ever. My daughter sliced her finger and was bleeding non stop. Took her to the er and had to wait for three hours after triage. There was a person with a sprained ankle and she tought it was broken so they took her in right away and all she came out with was a band aid... Had a lot of other bad experiences with this hospital but if i wrote it all down this would turn into a novel.
Had to give at least one star. This place is awful. I went I for my ankle and they xrayed my leg. Then went back to see the doc (maybe) not sure did not introduce himself. He said what is the problem? I seen the computer screen he had my discharge already done just needed to hit enter. I told him my left ankle hurt he looked at it said it looks fine. No broken leg. I said ya it's my ankle he said stay off of it and heal for a couple days should feel better. I told him it had been iced and heated for 6 days now what and he just looked at me and said nothing. I told him to hit the enter button for my discharge and I'll go. He did we left. What a joke now I have to go to Tacoma to figure out what's wrong. This was a 2 hour wait to get nothing and charged for xrays on the wrong part of my body.
Construction is nosie and barely anyone can't even get my grandma in see the doctor this place is slow
The After hours pediatrics in the Providence hospital located in Centralia was the worst care my daughter ever received. I took my 1 year old daughter in for vomiting and a consistent fever of 102.8 that Tylenol wouldn't reduce. When the nurse took my daughters temperature she rubbed the thermometer across her head over her hair, the nurse looked at me and said "she doesn't have a fever her temperature is 97.2" I told her to check again because I had just taken her temperature before we left the house and it was 102.8. The nurse checked again and indeed the first reading was wrong the second temperature read 102. Nurse asked me if she had a runny nose or a cough I replied No. When the Doctor cane in the room he said the nurse told him she had a runny nose and a cough. The Doctor did not ask me any questions just was typing things on the computer, listen to my daughters heart and lungs and said we were good to go, I then asked what was going on and what I should do, he said its probably a bug and to give her Tylenol, I had been giving her Tylenol and keeping her hydrated with small amount of clear fluids at a time, so really I was doing everything fine already but the fact is I feel as if they didn't do their job by communicating with me or one another. Not to mention when the doctor walked in the room he had a mouthful of food and smelled like corn chips.
I don't want to go into personal details but this is the best hospital ever. I was in a precarious situation and every single person treated me with respect and kindness and I will NEVER forget that and will pay it forward. These people are superstars. After my surgery, they sent me a card wishing me well. This is how the world should work. They helped me when no other hospital would. Thank you Centralia Providence.
The nursing staff in the labor and delivery are thieves and security helps cover it up for them!
Slowest er I've ever been in not busy got seen fast been waiting for drops for ear for almost 2 hrs papers are even ready for discharge it been 4 yrs and not no more chances I'll go to Olympia from now on so sad
My husband was in atrial fibrillation and experiencing shortness of breath and other symptoms. The staff here were polite, professional, and encouraging. First class service for such a small hospital. And, to top it off, after all the work they did and all the different departments that stepped in to help him, including three doctors, our bill was only $1,900. I was expecting several thousands more than this. Thank you Providence for helping my husband. Here's doing well now thanks to you.
Such horrible place bad communication
I had the most fantastic experience for my colonoscopy. I loved my crew the doctor, Emily RN was superb. I now hope they sent to pathology my polyp and the pictures with the chart as the picture taker may not have been working or they could not have given me a copy. We had a little problem with getting a vein, but Emily's' personality made it all worth it. What a great doctor and RN. Thank you! I never got my polyp pictures however and the office should procure them. I am in Florida now. Also Dr. Thang charged me 50.00 and still in dispute. The NP made a mistake and sent me over there for HPV and could have used the same specimen for this. If you Christian oriented, why do you not help the seniors with anything. I applied probably 200 times by now and highly qualified for jobs there. I have had two calls and no followups or anything. I believe the recruiter's call to appease me that thy called and never offered me a job in the two years there. Any answers.
On average expect a 4-5 hour wait period.
I was planning on giving birth here but I ended up needing an emergency c-section at 4am on a Saturday. Dr. Scalici was my obgyn, and happened to be the doctor on call that night. Within 5 minutes of calling the womens center after hours number, Dr. Scalici called me and told me to go to the ER to get checked out. Everything happened really fast. All of the nurses were very attentive. Dr. Scalici explained things well and kept an eye on my baby while the nurses prepared me for surgery. The anesthesiologist was very comforting to talk to- I had never had surgery or been under anesthesia before. Overall our experience was wonderful. My husband and I could not be more thankful for the guidance and care in such a stressful and scary situation. This is our first child and he is now at Tacoma General NICU. The nurses told us to give them an update and we plan on it. We can't remember anyone's names unfortunately, but thank you from the bottom of our hearts, for everything.
This hospital should be forced to close its doors. I had surgery on my head 9/21/15 at the UW. Earlier today my pain meds ran out and the pain became unbearable so I called the UW and they told me to go to the local emergency room immediately. I arrived at Providence in excruciating pain and spoke with 3 different people over the course of a couple hours. I also provided them with an internal phone # that the UW staff gave me to help expedite things( the number was to a UW staff member that was still on duty and had the authority) and all my papework regarding my recent surgery. After approx 2 hours of sitting around in pain the Providence staff told me there was nothing they could do, that it was there policy not to prescribe pain meds on top of what another doctor previously prescribed regardless of the surgery or amount of pain. When I asked them when this policy went into affect the Providence staff member said it had always been their policy. Mind you....I had the same exact surgery in March of this year and also ran out of pain meds. I then to went to Providence and they prescribed me a pain med that was even stronger than my surgeon initially provided What policy was that again?). In addition....tonight while at providence not a single person even looked at the area my recent surgery took place, interesting as i was in obvious pain and there was still dried blood surrounding the area. Shouldnt they have taken the time to at least look??? Ive no doubt they will still be billing...and for what? To make matters worse.... I was pretty damn upset so Ive no doubt my voice had risen a few octaves......so providence was kind enough to send in their security. Upon leaving the whole ordeal was a bit much and I doubled over and nearly passed out right outside their front doors....not a single staff member raised a finger. I will definitely be seeking the advice of council. These people have no business providing medical care to anyone.....it was by far the most unpleasant experience Ive ever had with the medical industry in my 47 years. I actually felt as if I was being accused of being a drug abuser, the only thing they kept repeating was that pain meds were often abused. Again.....I was 4 days removed from head surgery, had all paperwork in order, Confidential contact phone numbers for my surgical team who told me to go there. As if thats not enough....i was so in pain and upset by the time I got home that I was distracted and fell on my steps hurting my back...where do i go? I cant trust the only Emergency room around. I guess I wait and make an appoitment with my provider hoping things dont get worse. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL IF ITS TRULY AN EMERGENCY....THEY WILL LET YOU DIE! Unless of course your some homeless junkie.....then they will treat you and send me and the rest of us the bill. FU Providence....See u in court!
The absolute worst hospital experience I've ever had. I hope all their bad reviews force them to analyze how they are operating.
My special needs toddler with brittle bone disease needed x-rays. Being from out of state while visiting family here, I was prepared to be "detained" and was expecting to be talked to in a condencending manner about why my child had a possible broken leg without trauma especially from a hospital who doesn't know us nor have my son's medical records. Instead, we were received with care, attention, and a staff who was fully ready to listen and take my recommendations. These are fantastic people! Ostiogenesis Imperfecta & NG tube friendly and willing to take YOUR recommendations without hesitation.
The worst hospital ever. Lack of team work, talking about patients medical history so fast and in a non-private sector. Gave me Ibuprofen 800MG and I am allergic to this they called my room the Devils-Room while I was across from the nurses station listening with my care taker.
This place needs to seriously rethink the way they treat people. Absolutely the worst hospital I've ever been to
Staff, including Dr. Wong, were waiting for me on my arrival. They were quick, attentive, Professional, and courteous to my Medical needs. Awesome for a small community Hospital!
Fairly decent wait time
Went to the er for an infection. Spent more time waiting than seeing the Dr. Glanced at the infection sight said it was not serious. Diagnosed it as cellulitis wrote a script for antibiotics did not even ask what antibiotics I was allergic to. A culture was not taken please do not go to this hospital ever! Treated like I was a Hydra chondriac.
One of the worst hospitals I've been to. Rude staff. Didnt know what was going on. Had to unscrew my own I.v. the staff said they couldn't find me to get blood from me even tho I was where THEY left me. This hospital is a pile.lady in the next room keeps yelling help no one to help her . Just a joke here dont not come here
Had x rays done, staff was polite, kind, and helpful. They got me in and out quickly
I was not impressed with Dr Alexander Newman at all. I went in for a panic attack and his advice is to go see a Psychiatrist. I was there for 2 hours and they billed me for $5,716.00. Ouch! That hurts.
In my opinion their care was horrific.
My friend gave birth here and the whole experience was very long. The doctor came back and performed a C section. I really appreciate the doctor care and dedication to my friend. Overall, I am glad my friend got the best service here.
Have had several admissions to Providence Centralia Hospital. Nearly 20 years ago they actually saved my life in a very critical situation. I had flash pulmonary edema, a condition where your lungs fill with fluid suddenly and prevent you from breathing. My husband drove me at top speed to the hospital with my head out the window trying to force air into my lungs. I was intubated and taken to the ICU on a ventilator. It was touch and go, but they pulled me through. As an RN, I was aware of my chances of survival and they were slim. My lab results were inconsistent with life, meaning only my will to live and their desperate efforts kept me alive. I have been there several times since and always had excellent care. A few times i have been transferred to St. Peter's Hospital in Olympia, per ambulance, at no cost to myself. I am glad to have such a great hospital only 5 miles away dedicated to the care of local people.
3 times I have been to this hospital. Each time with a family member. The 1st was my mom whose blood pressure was through the roof. The Dr told her not to worry about it. It's just a number. 2nd my husband had a massive heart attack and needed transported to a facility that handled heart problems. 8 hours later. 3rd my son was sick and we waited in a non busy emergency room for 4 hours. When asked how much longer I was told another 12 hour wait. This hospital sucks and I would recommend that you go anywhere but here. The hospital staff is rude and unproffessional.
If I could put less than one star I would. They refused to keep a patient overnight for suicide watch after a large overdose of Topomax with no stomach pump AND the doctor refused to talk to her parents until hours after admitting her into her room. Terrible care and I worry the medical professionals in the building may be undereducated.
Waited for four hours with an ankle in serious pain. THEY DID NOT EVEN LOOK AT IT. Treated like we werent important. Treated like he was faking it. The nurse even said on our way out "as soon as you get to the parking lot you'll be skipping about for the extra few says off". And there is no way to contact/complain without calling. The only good part was the lady who registered/did paperwork was nice.
I have spent my fair share of time here and worked with many doctors and nurses as well as the billing department. I could not say enough good things about the intent and abilities of the staff here. We have always received great care and respect from everyone. Thank you providence!
I had an anaphylactic reaction. Arrived via ambulance. Woke up in ICU. Staff very friendly and helpful. Took the time to explain all the tests they were going to do and actually told me the results and what they meant. Thanks again for the awesome work you all do!!!!
Hands down flawless
I was yelled at for vomiting too loudly. Then the nurse that yelled at me would walk by she would say nasty things to me like I was faking, and being over dramatic. She even yelled at me for praying I'm atheist I was praying that she would not treat me and I made sure she did not treat me. She gave me nasty looks any time she could. Don't give them the chance to hurt you.
Worse hospital ever. Doctors got their degrees in a cracker jack box and the nurses/help dont know much either. Treat everyone like druggies and dont wanna help anyone whos in actual pain. Or tell everyone they are ok and other hospitals find the problems instantly. Google doctors. Google everything and still dont know what's wrong
I walked in from black mold ingestion and was seen within 5 minutes. The staff were very knowledgeable and quick to help me out....I even got some ice chips! Lol Turn around time from when I arrived to discharge was only 3 hours. I usually have to wait 5 to be seen at any other medical center.
I was curious If JACHO was here recently...remonicing when I was a medicare surveyor. I would certainly hope that the top .notch care I got for 4 days was not a reaction to my past job. The hospitalists,, nuke med, lab, imaging, pharmacist, and nurses ... everybody were great ..they could not find the cause of my affliction. The aerators on the faucets are fomites for .psudomonus and legionella..like happened to UW Medical Center. The chow was supperb! Thanks
I seriously hate this hospital! empty lobby still a 4 hour wait (and counting). they don't prioritize patients either and literally just give the drug addicts whatever they want. . . Literally so awful I can't even stand it but hey the tweakers sure love it
Absolutely terrible. Witnessed horrific treatment of patients with mental issues in the ER, including staff making fun of them loud enough for me to hear in another room. Very disturbing to say the least.
Great care.
Was in the ER with my grandfather and overheard a group of female staff members describing their last nights endeavors with their boyfriend, it was very loud and very unprofessional. Worst hospital I’ve ever experienced.
Waoted 3 hours for a doctor note . No one in waiting room .
Best hospital I have ever been to. I am switching my doctor for my ob just so I can deliver here too. We have also cancelled moving just so i can deliver here. We live very far away, but the service is unbeatable.
They way better then Olympia hosptials and same name most that I've seen leave mad because the doctor wouldn't give em pain pills so they can get doped up
Staff was friendly, treated me like family, they didn’t have the right device to interrogate my Heart look recorder, they quickly got ahold of St Jude, and had them come up to check things. Great Hospitality, Great Hospital. Thank you guys very much
The absolute worst hospital around. Women on the desk and phones are unbelievably rude and disrespectful. Nurses don't seem to know what they're talking about and are condescending.
Very friendly, fast, and professional. Thank You.
I took my wife in because she threw out her back. If they actually did they're jobs and took a full history instead of just asking 20 questions about what you might be allergic to, they would of found out she was in a car wreck a few years ago. Since she was complaining about pain, I assumed they automatically deemed her as drug seeking and right off the bat they said they won't be giving her narcotics.. that's fine, give her ANYTHING for the pain at least. Make it a non-narcotic you 2-bit doctor! What really got me was they even went as far as asking her multiple times if she used drugs in the past and even then the doctor in question didn't seem to believe her. If you're going to bill us $500+, I expect you to give my wife the quality care that she needs AND not treat her like she is some common drug addict looking for their next fix.
I've traveled the world and hurt myself in many different ways in many different countries. From nearly drowning in Germany to slicing my hand open requiring 9 stitches in Scotland, and from Canada to Mexico, Norway to France. This hospital is hands down the worst one I have ever been too. The Doctors were cold and showed 0 sympathy, they were more concerned with shuffling you out the door than giving actual care. My Son was delivered here and they injected my wife with pitocin to induce contractions, which ended up having an adverse effect on my son which dropped his heart rate severely. After they noticed the err of their ways and said "well we messed up time to give you a C Section" they wheeled her into the operating room and asked me to wait while they prepped. They came out for me 10 minutes later and said "come meet your son". They left me out of the birth of my first born, so that was cool. The food was par at best. Literally go to any hospital but this one. If you're getting mugged, ask your mugger to drive you to Vancouver first because then at least you won't suffer even after you're admitted.
