I had to rush my sister to the ER due to several sudden symptoms that progressively got worse. She was in severe pain when we pulled up. I thought things would go well considering we were able to get into a room fast enough. It took them almost an hour to get a needle in her vein though (4 different nurses made attempts in both arms) and the one who was successful spilled blood all over her arm, gown, and sheets. (Not to mention he kept asking is to assist him in different ways because all the other nurses vanished)... A bit later, someone comes to collect the blood samples, and the nurse declines to take one of the vials. She later returns and refuses to let my sister use the bathroom, saying she'll have to wait till the doctor comes in with a bed pan. My sister adamantly explained she couldn't hold it, it was an emergency. The nurse ignored her. After that fiasco, someone comes in to discuss finances. My sister tells him she doesn't have insurance so he offers to give her financial aid forms. Almost three hours of radio silence from the staff go by. My sister had to call them into the room to ask questions regarding her progress. They then tell us they need a urine sample before they can run tests..... Long story short, completely unimpressed. The staff don't appear to be trained well at all. Not friendly, they don't communicate, and if we could have made it to a different hospital, I would not have come here. Absolutely horrible. I've never been to a hospital where a patient is not a priority this way. Every interaction seemed like they were brushing the situation to the side so they can get back to whatever they're doing at their desks. Would not recommend this even if it were the last hospital in a hundred mile radius!!
