I've only been in Roanoke for one week. Unfortunately I had to visit this ER. Everyone here, from check in to ultrasound tech, was super friendly. I feel all the staff members I encountered were very professional, and worked in a very timely manor. I even received condolences and "feel betters" from a few❤. However I was a bit confused by ER parking. It's a very small area. I parked in an area I can only assume is the main parking area. I hope there are future plans for better and convenient ER parking. I had to walk up that dang hill!

This was an extremely unpleasant experience. Disheveled nurses in ill fitting scrubs, and yes, they were complete with stains. Doctors without lab coats. ID badges not visible. Police everywhere to wrangle the inmates. Seriously, do you not have another area for them since the already disgusting waiting area is bad enough for sick patients? If this is the regions only Level 1 Trauma Center, Roanoke is worse off than I thought.

The pediatric Emergency Department was amazing. My wife and I were traveling with our toddler from Florida and she became very I'll. There was a nurse ready to take us to a room before we even finished checking into the ER. They were so friendly and so nice to our little one. They help us get her calmed down as she was unconsolable. I am forever grateful for thier help !

This hospital is among the best i have ever visited. Am am an extreme sport enthusiast, and have had many, many injuries that required ER visits, and sometimes addmision, all around the United States. Well two days ago I severely fractured my left arm, of course i was dreading a Friday evening ER wait. Not at all, I was immediately triaged. Within 20 minutes I was in-and-out of radiology, within 10 minutes I was taken into an ER room where I was graciously greeted by a Physician, not a PA. He had already reviewed my XRAYS. There was quick conversation about whether-or not to attemp a fracture-recuction, we both agreed not to, as there was evidence that the bones were already starting to heal. He put me in a cast and sling and I was on my way in just over 3 hours! Not my typical experience by a long-shot. The entire staff were pleasant and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this facility.
