Sit and wait 5hrs to be seen, then once I am in the room to see the PA, there's another hour wait. Once they finally show up, he had no clue what's going on even after looking at my chart. I elaborate on said conditions, and preemptively asked to get blood work sent (I was admitted a month ago for the same issue, and was blown off as well). Blood work comes back and I have to insist to hear and see the results. Once I finally got the printout, they were unwilling to review the ones that were out of normal range. Sorry for trying to be informed about my health guys, didn't mean to inconvenience you..... After this point I was sent out without any information on how to proceed going forward, what I should do. They just left the room. Very displeased how I was treated and this has NOT been the only time.

Still waiting in lobby to be seen. 2.5 hours. Bleeding has been stopped, need stitches. I am less than disappointed. Mid day on a Monday. Staff is friendly.

It can be quite busy but they are very thorough. Still the best in the area.

I am at UVM emergency right now and I am here for last 4 hours. Nobody came to see me. I talked with 2 different people. They told they will be here soon. But still nobody showed up. Is it an Emergency Department. It is a joke.

I arrived with my mom In an ambulance after being hit by a car, I had broken my shoulder and collar bone. I was immediately treated, Because I was in critical condition. I was admitted to the ICU for 2 days. The nurses were so nice and same goes for every member of the staff there. I understand when you are having a stomach ache it is hard to wait for 5 hours but if someone comes in bleeding to death they need to help them WAY more. Just think about that, they are the doctors and nurses, and they know best. Also respect them because half of these comments are saying you showed up at 11:30 PM you are damn lucky these people are here. Thank you medical staff!!

We were in the UVM ER last night and received exceptional and timely care from each person who engaged with us. The check in process was smooth, and by the time I had parked the car my wife was being treated. The medical team (nurses, medical student, attending physician, lab tech, CAT scan tech) was professional and each displayed a remarkable bedside manner that put both my wife and I at ease. While no one enjoys having to go to the ER in the middle of the night, we were very pleased with our care and experience.

I went into the ER because I was having a shoulder pain and then they called after 2hrs to do registration.. I was sitting in the waiting for as least another 2hrs then they called me to get a hallway treatment and no one even noticed but one if they asked if I was okay or need help. But the nurse who bought me into the small space gave me a blanket it’s was getting cold... I was there for another 3hrs no doctor even seen me I had to leave and deal with my pain by myself.. it was a waste of my time and I am never coming back to the room ever again!!!

Brought my girlfriend in for suicidal thoughts and ideations, had to wait 14 hours to see the medical team. They woke us up and said we could choose to stay or not. Before my girlfriend had a chance to decide they discharged us while I was outside getting her contacts from the car. She's still having suicidal thoughts. This is the only er for this area and they 100% let us down. Now she feels like they don't want her there and we are still in crisis. Seeking other medical attention.

The UVMC er is very poorly run. The nurses were rude and lacked the ability to work efficiantly. What should have been a 2 hour diagnoses at most turned into a 4 hour diagnoses.

The entire staff but especially Drs Ravera and Johnson were not only very helpful but expert, caring and attentive. We are fortunate to have such an institution in our community. Thank you!

This is the first emergency room that I have been at that I have seen multiple patients leave due to long waits.

Worst hospital ever! My mom came in with severe flu-like symptoms around 11:30 pm, and it is currently 2:32 am now and we are still here... no doctor has come to tell us about her test results either. I do not recommend coming here. Worst part about it is I have to work later today and I can't even get any sleep here because they don't even offer any sort of comfortable seating for me after sitting here for more than 3 hours. Will probably have to call out of work from lack of sleep...

My mom when in for breathing issues( she has stage 3 lung cancer) she was there for 9 HOURS!!! This is not acceptable, this is the only Emergency room in the area, they need to change the way they do things.

I was given a room after waiting over an hour, then I waited over three hours to be seen by anyone. I just left. Absolutely ridiculous.

I was hung up on while trying to figure out the situation regarding my daughters care in the ER.... I WAS NOT ALLOWED information regarding her care. I have full custody and medical directive for my child. i was not able to get any information regarding her care.
