Visited the lab to have blood drawn for possible kidney donation and was told they did not accept blood draw kits (I was given a blood draw kit from Life Link the national organ donation organization). This was after I was told that it would be accepted by the lab over the phone. Being cavalier with the lives of sick invalids, not a good look for a hospital. Especially when it concerns a 19 year old girl with lifelong kidney disease on dialysis twice a week. But rules are rules I guess

Terrible hospital they treat certain people like animals. I have seen some extremely unprofessional things happen there that should not happen to any person whether rich poor white or black. They don't care about patients its all about $$$ that's it nothing more than a business. I'd give 0 stars but google won't allow it. Avoid this place if at all possible go to Fletcher Allen or Dartmouth it is a wiser choice over these jokers. It doesn't matter why you need help its supposed to be about needing help and they will profile certain people as bad as the LAPD does. Serious violation of patient rights as they have a room directly near intake where all supposedly confidential information can be clearly heard. Stay away from them unless its absolutely life threatening and you can't afford an hour ride to Dartmouth unless you don't mind your privacy violated and identity stolen.

I had a routine procedure here in gastroenterology and was not impressed with the thoroughness nor friendliness of the prep nurses, and certainly not with the doctor, who made me feel uncomfortable that I was there at all.

Dr. Gregory, and his nurse were fabulous. They had me in and out of the building within 35 minutes and answered every question I had. Hats off to their team!

Came in with my dad at 11pm because he was having some serious pains in his ribs. From the moment we walked in we were serviced quick and by 2 am had a complete diagnosis after performing a EKG. Very nice staff and excellent service. good thing too because the nearest hospital after Rutland is 2 hrs away

About a week after having a seizure, I ended up in the ER with a 103.9 degree fever and was made to wait in the waiting room for about 4 hours and when I got in the room I was basically ignored and not told what was going on. Then about a month later was ordered an EEG and never got the results of it until I asked. They said it was abnormal but the results were never sent to the ordering neurologist in Burlington because the radiologist didn't check to see if the Neurologist was in the system at rrmc. I'm still waiting for results and very frustrated.

This place always drops the ball, don't get me wrong there are some really good hard working doctors and nurses, but they take forever to drain your insurance and my father has had very bad experiences here. Father left with staph infection before, sent home 3 times in a week when Lyme disease was attacking his nervous system "we don't see anything wrong you can go home" as he had bell's palsy.

From pre-operation phone calls to getting loaded in the car to go home the surgeon, surgical team and the volunteers were welcoming, reassuring and professional during my husband's shoulder operation. Thank-you .

Horrible customer service, they don't care about they patient just the money in their pockets. Had to pay $500 to sit in the waiting room for 15min, called to confirm that's what the charge was from and they confirmed it was. I spoke with multiple staff about disputing that charge or lowering it, they wouldn't budge a dollar or seemed to care at all just old me "it is what it is". I would of just sat outside if that was the case.. I would advise anyone to go anywhere else. Rutland Reginald is a scam.

I have concerns that some of the doctors are not trauma-informed. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, however. Medicare as an insurer may be an issue - beware.

I broke my leg in the hospital so I sued the government and now I'm the president.

We were visiting Vermont from SC when my wife had an episode of acute angle closure glaucoma. A rare and very serious form of the condition. She was in excruciating pain when we arrived and I can not say enough good things about the staff from the front desk to the Dr we eventually saw. He said that she needed to see an eye specialist immediately which they took care of scheduling. It was a traumatic experience, we were far from home, and I so appreciate the care that was given. She could have ended up blind in that eye were it not for the care from Rutland Regional. So thank you.

Awesome customer service! When my friend arrived at the specified time for a cardiac procedure no one was in the check in area. We then went upstairs to the ambulatory surgical unit, thinking that was the appropriate area. We were assisted by Sondra, who called around then personally walked us back downstairs to make sure we were in the right place. She was concerned and apologetic that we had been instructed by the doctor to arrive beforet check-in staff. Sondra went above and beyond her duty to assist and reassure us. She also assured us that she would contact the doctor's office to prevent them from sending other patients in before the check-in area opens and make sure they tell patients exactly where to go for special procedures. The receptionist and nurses in the procedure area were also extremely caring and kind. They made sure my friend was calm and comfortable. Overall, everyone we encountered showed great compassion and concern.

I agree that the docs and staff at the hospital and offices who bill through the hospital are great. Very professional and caring. However, the same can't be said for the billing department. They are all listed on my insurance web site as "in- network", but, in fact, do not accept the agreed pricing of the policy. They will do the paper work to bill insurance, which is not "accepting" the insurance, but then balance bill for the difference, even though my policy has a designated copay which they refuse to honor. I've gone round and round with them and gotten no where. This isn't their problem, it's the insurance company's. I've stated that I will only pay the co pay for the policy and nothing more as per the insurance company rep. I am now getting threatening collection calls for the balance remaining after I've paid the copay. Be sure to consult with your insurance company thoroughly before choosing a doc in this system. Just because RRMC and docs are listed as "in- network" doesn't mean they will get "in-network" pricing when is comes time to pay the bill. You might be paying through the nose for your "insured" "in-network" care.

The fifth floor palliative care team at RRMC provided the kind of care for my brother "Joe" (Robert J. Albert) that I would wish for any patient at the end of life. The 30 -40 staff members (RNs,LNAs, housekeeping, engineering, physicians, musician, nutritionists, etc) who served Joe with such respect, patience, dignity and Heart in his final weeks of life were, for me, all models of exceptionally proactive, professional, effective, and caring providers. Having been a Community Care Associate Health Care (Gerontology) provider for 40 + yrs, I can say that never have I seen such excellence as I witnessed on your fifth floor. I ask only one thing; that is that you send your staff leaders far and wide to share your methods, your ethics, your genuine joy as you serve patients in your care. Your 'fifth floor' staff are simply amazing and inspiring. Thank You. Joe's brother, Peter

I had heard it wasn't very good but Rosemary and I came out very impressed.

We are on vacation and I took my husband to the emergency room - he was admitted and is getting excellent care. I can't say enough good things about the staff here, including the doctors - Dr Hartmann in emergency, Dr Meyers who admitted him and sees him in the evenings, and Dr Bates who has been here during the day. Excellent, caring, compassionate. The nurses and all the assistants have been wonderful.

So my daughter in law was just in the ER and it took 4 hours to be seen. Totally inept hospital. Guessing at diagnosis and no regard for medical history or recent seizure activity. They ignored orders from her neurologist to schedule an MRI and EEG. Staff was rude and clueless. This isn't the only negative experience at this hospital. Professionalism isn't their strong suit. Avoid this place unless you want to waste your time, money and remain without help. Anything that isn't obvious they will make some diagnosis up and push you out the door. They do not care about the people they serve. I cannot believe this place is still operating.

Brent Shaw

A little slow but all around a friendly courteous hospital. The cafe is cheap priced and healthy fast food service.

Ben Hughey

I loved Rutland and I loved RRMC. Thanks for having me.
