I went here today because I had a seizure for the first time. Check in was quick but they did a “urine test “ when my urine was sitting on a table right by me up to even when I left ! Them as they were taking my IV out the nurse didn’t wear gloves! EW! I can go on with more .

I was very impressed with the treatment from the nurses and Dr. Hart. They treated me with respect and gave true informed consent with everything they did.

I came into your ER and was treated poorly from the first step. There was a Hispanic male sitting at the desk who was rude and abrupt. Then I was sent into a room and a very young girl (not sure she was even a nurse) and don't recall seeing her name tag. She "attempted" to draw my blood from my very large veins and missed and while she was digging around to get the needle out, and then the blood started going everywhere I asked if she was done (I was not looking) my dad was taking pictures and her reply was "um yeah I missed your vein" so I then looked and blood was all over and I said "honey I'm in pain and can't have you make another mistake on my arm and I'm not sure how you missed my vein they are so big" she says "yeah I guess I got cocky thinking there is no way I can miss it because your veins are so juicy" (inappropriate) she placed cotton and tape over the mess, then she got up and walked out and left my arm tied off. The doctor came in and she was not thrilled to be there either and when I had asked her if she could draw my blood she said yes and talked to me for maybe 3 minutes and walked out. (Never drawing) Then the male nurse came in and he was extremely put out he had to do the draw (or so it seemed) he was curt and somewhat rude to myself and my father. He just jammed the needle in the side of my arm took some blood, hooked my IV up and walked out, When it was time to leave he came in a huff again just basically ripped the needle out, bandaged me, murmured a few words and gone. My arm is sore and I have pictures of the mess she made of my arm and want to file a complaint. Especially against this young girl. She had no business "drawing blood" (not even an apology) and the entire experience made me feel icky. The entire staff seemed very unhappy with their employment. They were just outside the curtain laughing and jerking off and the young girl said "I'll print papers, that's my specialty" hahahaah As I was leaving I saw her sitting in the intake window and she would not even look up. Sad to say it was THE WORST experience I've ever had at your hospital. I live close by and have had good experiences before so I thought it would be very much the same. WRONG. Graveyard shifts do not give hospital employees the right to be mean and rude. Especially when you have people who are already struggling with some issue that brings them to your hospital. I will file another complaint elsewhere as well. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE SERVICE!! VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED. I am afraid to ever visit your hospital again.

No one likes going to the ER but when you need to go it’s nice to have a good staff. I went in the middle of the night and everyone was so nice and helpful. The doctor came in fast and asked me what was wrong and cam up with a solution to figure out for sure what was wrong, make me more comfortable and Give me all the details and information I needed. All the nurses were nice and honest.

This is by far the worst emergency room I've ever heard of or been to. When she she was pregnant my wife suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum. She would get very dehydrated because she couldn't even keep water down. One night she almost died and the emergency room had the nerve to tell us, "the "tests" shows she is not dehydrated" when it was so painfully obvious that she was and she was fading in and out of concconscious. They ended up giving her two bags of fluids and told us we could go home. She couldn't even walk by herself. They turned us away. Never go to this ER! In an emergency you might just die because of their neglect. They are horrible inconsiderate doctors. I was appalled with how they treated us.

When to St. Marks emergency room on April 24, 2019. Was in major major pain. I went up to the check in window and said I need a bed. I’m nauseous and in major pain. She said go wait in line until it is your turn. I turned around a saw a wheel chair and waited in line not knowing I was passing kidney stones. She told me we don’t have any beds, “we’re full” Finally got a room and a girl with the computer is asking me questions to make sure they get paid. After about the 6th question I asked her to stop until they took care of my pain. Major pain!!! She said nothing is going to happen until you answer the questions. Really? She continued and my husband took over. Dr. On call came in and said she has kidney stones get a CT scan and urinalysis. It took 40 minutes for the emergency room to give me morphine and stop the pain!! Dr. Never came back. Some girl told me my tests “are fine” I said no I saw blood in my urine. They sent me home with a cup to catch stones and take it to my family doctor to have it analyzed. Four days later back in the emergency room - went to Lonepeak Emergency. I was out of pain in less then 10 minutes. Lady came in with computer after I was out of pain and resting. Lonepeak gave me a name of a Urologist and said call them today and get in. I had kidney stones in both of my kidneys with a 9mm stone in one kidney and 6mm stone in the other kidney. Surgery was needed. My family will NEVER go back to St. Marks Emergency.
