Radiology is so slow, if one piece of equipment not broken, another is. I’ve had to reschedule a simple X-ray because of a failed printer(?).

Thank for treating me! The only thing I could say that you guys need to work on at this hospital is communication between nursing staff and the registration staff in the er lobby because the staff in the lobby thought I had left the hospital and I didn't and they sent my ride away lucky for me my ride was out in the parking lot waiting for me other than that great hospital

We had an experience with the emergency room. The service at the time of the emergency was good, but then it went downhill. We had requested a referral to a specialist that we knew. Not only did they not give it, but they didn't care enough to quickly correct it. I finally reached someone who was willing to help. We should finally get the referral 3 days from today, So disappointing. IHC has been better for us in the past.

Horrible experience at this place 0 compassion called 3 times to complain about doctor Richie in same day surgery with no calls back!!

Jenn Barksdale

The ER here is horrible. The nurse and doctors had the worse bed side manner i have ever witnessed. They were non attentive and honestly didn't even look like they cared about what was going on, like it was a total inconvenience for them. Maybe if they actually listen to their patients people would actually get the help they need to go with those outrageous bills. Next time there is an emergency the time will be taken to go to a different hospital.

Melissa Jensen

I had my first baby there last month and they all took wonderful care of me and my baby!

My mom went in to get surgery. She had to stay over night. She had a asthma attack. They just sat around and did nothing. They said she was faking it. They wouldn't give her, the medicine for her asthma or her pain. Bad enough! No. Then we go down because she has hives they give her a shot and send her home. It's worse the next day we come back give her a shot send her home. Won't even consider it could be an infection. Now we have to wait for a doctor appointment. Thanks AF hospital! You suck!!

My wife and I went in at 2 A.M. because she was having terrible pains in her ribs. We got there and the E.R. sent us over to labor and delivery. The nurse at labor And delivery was really nice and helped us out a lot making sure there was nothing wrong with our baby. But after she sent us back down to the E.R things got a lot worse. It took us a while to be let into the E.R. considering there was no one else there at the time. When we got to our room they attempted to take my wife's blood pressure but after 4 attempts they just have up and left the cuff running on her arm even though it wasn't working. We waited about an hour before a doctor came in and started poking my wife in the ribs checking to see where she was feeling pain. And about every 20 she would come in and poke in the same spot and walk out. So after about 3 hours of being there a different doctor comes in and we go get an ultrasound (even though we already had one in labor and delivery) and they say everything is fine but we need a urine sample. (Which we also did in labor and delivery) after we told them we already did one they had lost and a needed another one. So after she gave another one the nurse comes, puts it in vials, and leaves it on the counter and clocks out and goes home. Without telling anyone it was there. Then we wait for about another hour till our doctor comes in and says she scheduled an MRI for us but the technician won't be in till 6 AM. At the time it was 5. So we waited till 6 when our doctor came in and told us it actually wont be ready till 7:45. Then the doctor went home without telling us. At 6:30 our new doctor showed up and told us the other one left. This new doctor was very nice and professional and helped us out with options on what he thought might be wrong. But after being there for almost 6 hours we decided to just leave before we had to deal with any other problems from the staff. Two weeks down the road and we get our bill. Most of it was stuff that makes sense, but a lot of it was stuff that we never asked for. Like the urine samples they never took our used and the 2 ultrasounds they did the six hour E.R. visit which was entirely their fault for not helping us. Then yesterday we got the bill from the doctor who left us after doing nothing to help us and it was almost $500 to a doctor who didn't help us in any way. I would be more than happy to pay the other doctor who did help us for the half hour he was with us. But not this women who just kept poking my wife then left without telling us anything. This visit had single handedly made me and my wife find a new hospital to have our baby even though we only live 2 minutes from here. I hope to never have to come back here.

This is such a great hospital and the employees are really great! 5 stars in my book!

American Fork Hospital is the best IHC hospital in Utah County. From checking in to having labs drawn from Danielle and an MRI done by Curt. This is hands down the best customer service I have had in years. Thanks AF hospital!

Caitlyn Shelby

Seriously the worst. Billing is awful, the staff is awful, labor and delivery is awful. Very unfriendly, unorganized and a pain in the butt.

We chose to go to American Fork Hospital over going to the new Mountain Point Medical Center because it had higher review scores. Big mistake. We took our 16 yr old son in to the ER literally screaming in pain, doubled over. He could not stand or walk. His hands and legs had gone numb, his nose started to bleed and he passed out twice. Still, the charge nurse decided to take another patient with an ice pack on their neck (Who was threatening to go somewhere else) back to triage first. As our son writhed in pain, they told us that they’d be with us as soon as they could be, but there were a few patients ahead of him for triage. There are signs everywhere stating that some situations are more emergent than others and so you would not always get called back in order. Are you serious?!! We asked the triage nurse to call an ambulance to take us to a different hospital. He disappeared and 5 minutes later came and told us that we could call the ambulance ourselves. It wouldn’t come any faster if they called. So we did. We called an ambulance to take him to a different hospital. We will never return to American Fork hospital. Ever. Healthcare Professionals that can’t make simple judgement calls can’t be trusted to make more serious medical calls.

My wife was having severe abdominal pain so I took her to the American Fork ER (this was right after lunch, approx 1:30pm). During her stay in the ER, there were 2 significant issues that need to be looked at by the hospital administration: 1. After the initial pain meds wore off, my wife was in severe pain again - the Dr told the nurse to go ahead and give her some pain meds. She started to do that, but couldn’t get the scanner to scan in the bar code on my wife’s wrist band. She called in a male nurse, and they looked at the computer together, but still couldn’t get it to work. She finally walked out, and the male nurse continued to fiddle around with it. He finally just turned the computer off, waited, and then turned the computer back on. Then he just walked out of our room without saying a word to us. This took about 20 mins, and all this time my wife is in severe pain waiting to get the pain meds. About 5 mins later I finally walked out to the nurses station and just asked if anyone would please go in and give my wife the pain meds. The male nurse said they were working on it, and would get to it as soon as they could. Bottom line is that is took 40 mins for my wife to get the pain meds after the Dr told the nurse to give them to her. All this time she is in severe pain, and not one of the nurses gave a damn. I’m sure if it had been their spouse, they would not have allowed their spouse to be in pain waiting for 40 mins. If the process does not allow patients to get pain meds unless the scanner is working, there should be a fall-back process to get the patient those meds if the scanner is not functioning. Again, if this had been one of the nurses spouses, I’m sure they would have found a way to get the pain meds to them. 2. After my wife FINALLY got her pain under control, they discharged us with a packet of papers stapled together. The first few pages at the top were her prescriptions. We left the hospital and went to our pharmacy in Lehi. When we got there, the pharmacy told us that the third prescription was not for my wife, but was for another patient. It was the correct prescription, just for a different patient. I asked them if they could call the hospital to get the correct prescription. The pharmacy said that they could not take the prescription over the phone, but they had escript (or something like that) that the hospital could send them. I called the ER and got to the nurse who gave us the prescriptions, and she said that they could not do escript, and that I would have to drive back to the hospital, bring the wrong prescription back, and swap it out for the correct one for my wife. So I drove back to the ER, got the correct prescription for my wife, and then back to the pharmacy where all 3 were finally filled. Forcing patients to wait unnecessarily in pain, and giving patients prescriptions for other patients, should be unacceptable in any hospital. While I would rate the nurses a 0, the Dr seemed to care, and diagnosed the problem and got my wife feeling better. For that I am grateful. The young men who took my wifes’ blood and wheeled her into her CT scan where also very nice. And my wife said the the lady who did her CT scan was also very nice. Thus, the 2 star rating.

Kind professional ER staff... Who understand chronic pain and don't typically treat individuals with terminal conditions like a sub human coming in off the street, who is just abusing the system for a fix. Every time I've seen a loved one here they treat them with the respect and dignity they deserve.

Matt Adams

The staff was nice and the overall process seemed to be well-run, BUT I just found out from the on-staff urologist that he had been on-call there at the hospital the entire two days my wife was being kept there in pain meds for kidney stones, and NOBODY BOTHERED TO TELL HIM SHE WAS THERE TO SEE HIM!!! We had specifically told the staff he was her provider, and they just ASSUMED he wasn't working until Monday (we arrived Saturday). So, we still have yet to see what the bill will be for in-patient care two days, plus constant administration of pain meds and other meds. My call has been placed to their Administration for remedy of the charges.

Claudia Rassier

Last week, I had need to go into the emergency room. Although I liked the Dr, I was very upset about the entire visit. I was taken to a room immediately, and the wait for the Dr was not to bad, only about 45 minutes. My pain was so horrible and he said he would get me taken care of immediately. It took the nurse another complete hour to get medication for my pain. The Dr did come back in to check on me while she was there. The tests he wanted never happened and after 4+ hours to be sent to a pain clinic a week later, it was not a good visit at all. I am elderly, and have a large copay, I really thought they would have helped me more than they did. I was so very dissatisfied. I will go to Provo or Riverton imc. Sad, I truly needed help.

I delivered my third son at American Fork Hospital in December. This was my first delivery at this hospital. The staff were amazing. I know there were many other moms delivering at the same time, but we felt like we were the only ones on the unit. The nursing staff on Labor & Delivery and on Mother/Baby helped anticipate all of our needs before we even needed to ask. They were so friendly and personable. They were great with my kids. They kept me in the loop with bedside handoff so we were all on the same page with the care plan and what our goals were for the day. I loved the skin to skin and non-separation. It was fun to see my baby bathed in my recovery room, rather than in the nursery where I couldn't participate. The food was good and my room was kept very clean. I have delivered in 3 different facilities and this was by far the BEST experience. I know I'll be coming back to AFH again next time. Thank you so much!

Brandon Curtis

Very clean environment. Doctors and nurses have always been helpful and friendly. I’ve been to almost every ER in the county and this is the best one, by far! Labor and delivery was great and the staff was professional. Overall great experiences here. UPDATE: Once again had a wonderful experience as we had our second child here. The nurses and staff were just so great and helpful! They took great care of our preemie baby boy and were really great at keeping us informed on his status. We are very happy to be home, but also really miss the constant care that we received from AF Hospital!

Rebekah Akporere

I had to take my baby into the ER because of a croup cough and the staff was amazing. So kind and helpful they really went above and beyond!

Des Harris

Only place I go if I need to have blood drawn. It’s usually difficult to find a vein because mine are very small. Most places I feel like a human pin cushion. AF always takes the time to get it right the first stick.

Muddy Buddy

This has amazing servers and it was clean

Jace Hutchison

Admin very rude and not helpful.

Debbie Price

I was scheduled An hour early so I could take a relaxant but that never happened. There was no receptionist to ask why I was left waiting and not contacted until the MRI time. This was disappointing but when the technician came to get me, he convinced me I could do it without the relaxant. He was incredible and talked me through the process without any issues. He Provided a pep talk and then praise afterwards. He was incredible.

jane Wylie

If I could give them 0 stars I would. The staff is incompetent and slow. I took my husband there for a chronic issue that the staff was incapable of treating. As soon as we got back in the room they took his blood and NEVER came back with test results, they couldn't even tell us what they were testing for. We saw the dr for 2 minutes at the beginning of the visit who called in a social worker who talked with us for about 20 minutes then left and right before he was discharged the dr insisted he send my husband home with a sedative. Which he refused at first until the staff insisted he take it. It as a long expensive waste of time, as the next day I took him to a different hospital and he was evaluated and admitted right away. I've been to this hospital many times before and have had similar experiences where the doctors make assumptions without consulting the patient and do unnecessary tests. I'm so glad there's another option now.

Went to the emergency room in more pain than ever in my life. Staff was nice. Treatment was prompt. Nurse was nice. Doctor listened. Billing was flexible. Would go here again.

John Neilson

Our family has used the ER several times over the last three years and the doctors, nurses and administration have been outstanding. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting room and our visit in the ER was never long. My wife and I hate visiting ERs because we are always there 3 to 4 hours. Not at American Fork, in most cases we were in and out in 60-90 minutes. One of our children had to stay several nights and the staff was terrific. I highly recommend American Fork, they are an excellent operation.

Jason Shamy

So hit and miss with good care here. I cannot stress this enough. Go somewhere else first. This ER should be the very last resort.

Lily Guzman

I was treated at the emergency room by Dr Alsolaiman and Mohammad M. Having worked in a Hospital system in Florida, I can say with certainty that American Fork Hospital is far the best hospital I have bee treated at. The personen was afable and competent, the Doctor was caring with out rushing to leave the room, the phlebotomist was kind and caring. I was so impressed! I want to than the entire staff for going above the call of duty to make patients feel well cared for. Thank you!

adam smith

I don't like having to leave bad reviews, but my experience with the emergency room here definitely requires one. We took my daughter here after she hit her head and had thrown up multiple times. The doctor who saw our daughter not only seemed disinterested in being there, but he also seemed incapable of explaining anything in a way that would allow someone to understand what he was saying or make a decision on treatment. We ended up having some imaging done to make sure nothing was wrong and decided that since it was the end of the year we would do cash pay since we hadn't used up any of our deductible for the year and it was the end of the year. This offered a 40% discount which was better than if we had sent it through our insurance. I got a call about a week later telling me the total of what I owed. I specifically asked the person on the phone if that would be everything I owed on the account to which she responded YES. I paid the account, and then started getting bills in the mail. I called today to speak with someone about why I was getting the bills and they said that they failed to make an adjustment, but that I still owed money on one of the bills that they sent me. This was different than what I was told before, and is simply frustrating that they can't figure billing out even without insurance involved. Long story short, it is frustrating enough to have to pay someone a lot of money for five minutes of their time when they have poor interpersonal skills, it is even more frustrating when they can't figure their billing out and charge you additional money after telling you that you had paid your entire account off. I'm sure there are better doctors in the ER, or at least I really hope there are, but we will be going to a different hospital unless the emergency is extremely time sensitive. If you do go here, make sure to double check your bills, because if they can't get a cash pay account right, chances are high that they have a lot more problems when insurances get involved.

The Emergency Room is literally the slowest in the Valley. If you are even halfway interested in seeing a doctor in a reasonable amount of time, go somewhere else.

David Watts

Intermountain Healthcare American Fork Hospital has recently been expanded and has a new Emergency Room with friendly and qualified staff. This Level III treatment center can treat most emergencies, and can get a patient transferred to a Level I or II center if needed. Friendly and qualified staff. While with any hospital and ER care is based on need, and not on order arrived, usually the well staffed facility results in short waits on anything but the busiest days. Layout of the facility can be hard to navigate, but that adds to the personal feel that you get at a regional hospital. Food was good as well. Fresh grilled food to order and about once a week, sushi chefs prepare good eats right in front of you.

John Hunter

I was a patient a few months ago and had the most amazing experience. From the ED, OR, ICU, and lab. The staff are competent, friendly, and caring.

Mya De Dios

My mom went in the er for help and told them she was depressed and withdrawing from strong medication and was sent home with no help and she ended up driving to the grocery store after that and buying 3 bottles of pills and went to her car and ended up swallowing them all and attempting suicide because the American fork hospital would not help her with anything and the doctor was very rude My mom could have died because the AF hospital didnt take her seriously.

Shelly Petty

I have NEVER had such a bad experience at a hospital. The ER is nice and new, but you still have the same old inconsiderate staff. I’ve seen the same male Dr twice in 3 weeks and will never go back. If you want to connected to an IV and be pumped full of drugs by all means he’s your guy. If you want answers or an actual health plan to feel better go somewhere else. American Fork Hospital is the closest ER to where we live, but we will drive the extra 7 minutes to get better care from now on. I needed an MRI, the Dr told me I had to call and schedule during regular business hours and he gave me a write up for it. I called later that day and they couldn’t get me in for 4 days. I called anther hospital covered under my insurance and they got me in the same day. There was no reason for AF not to get me the MRI while I was there, he for some reason just didn’t want to do it

Lacey McIntyre

I had the most amazing nurses after my myomectomy and cystecotomy. I've never had a surgery before and was quite scared, but they cared for me like I was their own family member. I didn't even want to leave because I didn't want to leave them, and I really missed them once I got home. Ha! They were encouraging and helpful. My catheter wasn't draining properly so one of my nurses came in a couple times throughout the night, squished herself between my bed and the wall, and got down on the floor to help drain the catheter...all while never turning on the light but just using a little flash light as to not disturb me and my husband. I have such an appreciation for nurses after this experience and am so grateful for each and every one of them for doing what they do. It's not a pretty job, but where would we be without them!?! The OR team and Pre-Op nurse also signed a get well card and sent it to me after the surgery as well. I thought that was such a nice touch and sweet to get from people I hardly knew but were such a huge part of my operation. Thanks to American Fork hospital and all the wonderful and caring staff!!!

Jill Griffey

AF Wound Clinic: Knowledgeable, efficient, friendly staff, never wait long. I wish I didn't have a reason to be seen there, though.

Ray Trotter

I have been to this ER two times in the past 5 years. Once for myself and last night with my son. I have been treated well and had excellent care both times. I understand it takes some time to evaluate medical issues. I have been treated well and appreciate both the nurses and doctors who took care of us.

Livia Stancu

My husband went with my boy to get some blood drawn for a simple allergy test. Three nurses tried and none of them could find and puncture his vein. They pierced both his arms in several places while my husband held him down and he cried so hard, the poor little thing. It really sounds like incompetence, my mom is a nurse and I've never had this happen wither her because she had years of experience. If they can't get blood from an 8-month old than maybe simply tell us it's too hard because he's too young and that's the end of it. Don't torture the little guy because of your incompetence. I am fuming, what a terrible service.

Jennifer Howard

We came to the ER at 9:45pm. Looked like there was one other person waiting. We got back to a nurse about 20 min later, at which point my husband said he had a sore on his finger that today started to hurt and swell up, sort of moving into his hand. Suggested that it could be cellulitis, since he'd had it before, but hopefully not anything close to staph. We were told there would be a room ready in about 30 to 40 min. An hour and half later, when many people had come and gone back & not returned, we still didn't have a room or had been told anything. Total joke. Here are people hurt, etc in a waiting room and they are not being communicated to. It wasn't loud or chaotic. I could see back where all the nurses were and they were just chillin. When I went to the check in nurse to help see if she could help me understand why, I was given barely concealed attitude & irritation... For what!? Being concerned about my husband? Or messing up her sitting in front of her computer screen time? We get better service at Urgent Care. We'll prob get a bill from the hospital for just sitting in their waiting room.

Ashlyn Taylor

They have the best PCTs and nurses I've ever been around. Everyone is so helpful and always checking if we needed anything. Food was so good and everyone just seemed happy to help!

Stephanie Falck

I have always had a great experience when I've come here. The departments have gotten so much better at working together over the years and the ER doctors are so kind. I came in today because my PC physician wouldn't call me back for a simple med change, and they fixed me right up.

Katie Hammock

The social worker laughed at my husband, who was in a huge amount of pain and scared. The nursing staff and doctor simply said they do not know the problem (seizure like symptoms), gave him something to basically put him to sleep and sent him home. The next morning the symptoms persisted and we decided to go to Mountain Point, they were amazing, attentive and went above and beyond to figure out the cause of the problem. If I could go negative starts for American Fork hospital I would. If you have the time to drive an extra 5 minutes, go to Mountain Point in Lehi, they’ll take care of you.

Lorenne Evans

Friendly and fast- very good experince

Carol Mathis

Registration was prompt, efficient and courteous. The nurses and doctors were kind, caring and compassionate, as was the staff who facilitated the angiogram. Breakfast was delicious. Through the whole process, I felt cared for and in capable hands.

Meghan Poll

Don't come to this ER if you have an actual emergency. My husband has had the misfortune of visiting twice in a month for two unrelated issues. The first visit, he came in for severe abdominal pain which in his particular case could have been life threatening if left untreated. The ER was deserted that night but he was still left to writhe in pain for over an hour and it was another 2.5-3 hours before we saw Dr Martin. There was no communication in the meantime about when we could expect to see her. When she did arrive, she was completely uninformed about the mechanics of a recent surgery which would greatly affect a plan for care and was very dismissive when I tried to explain. The second visit was a direct transfer from the InstaCare next door because the triage nurse and doctor there said he was in such bad shape, he needed to be in the ER. Yet, we have been here for 3 hours (as I write this from his bedside) and they have managed to give him a bag of IV fluids and draw blood for lab work. Except they forgot to take the blood to the lab, so while we were "waiting for lab results", nothing was actually happening. The nurse call button is useless, unless you like being told someone will come check on you, only to wait another 15-20 minutes, have to remind them, then wait another 15 minutes before anyone actually comes, all the while overhearing lively conversations at the nurses' station that show the patient they are not the priority! We would have been better off staying at the InstaCare. I know some people come to the ER with things that could have waited til they could see their PCP the next day but the lack of urgency over more severe cases is truly alarming and disheartening.

Matt Williamson

Don't go there. My doctor told me to go in and they could have cared less about me. Run of you ever get dr young. He's the most incompetent person I have ever encountered in my life. I was dumb and went there again! Dr. Davis left me in the same amount of pain as when I walked in. My pain is in a very sensitive area. There are doctors there that help you and ones that just want to get you out so they don't have to do anything. I'm so mad right now and ready to not sleep because he didn't really care. Ridiculous

Kim Potts

Im still here... thinking 12 hours after i arrive with my son he could have had his appendectomy sooner? They lost his chart at one point and we just sat there on the surgical floor..nobody said anything to us for an hour....then...asked him if he was here to have his gall bladder removed. He went almost 4 hours with no pain meds...i know thats asking alot seeing as hes doubled over in pain. Anxious for him to finally come out of surgery and hoping they saved his life finally. Seems disorganized here and didnt feel we were a priority..

Gill Cross

Had an great experience here in the Imaging Lab Area. Vicki is a total professional. I didn't feel the needle (IV) go in and have no mark left afterwards. She was knowledgeable, kind, caring, courteous and helpful. I was a little apprehensive at first about my test, but was quickly put at ease and talked through every step.

Jessica Parry

Best place to have a baby, the nurses and staff are wonderful. Could not have had a better experience.

Diane Gardner

Loved my colonoscopy! Can't wait for the next one. Honestly, the experience was not bad at all. The staff was very helpful and comforting and rather uneventful.

Melissa Anderson

The er doctor were nice the surgeon on the other hand rude no bed side manners. Just there to get payed and gone.

Elizabeth roman

One of the best hospitals around. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable.

Leah Higginbotham

This is the SLOWEST Emergency room I have ever been to. I've had two kids in there in the last 3 months. Each time we were in there for two hours. The first visit, my daughter was gasping for breath at 3 am because her inhaler had run out. I kept telling them that if they just gave her a couple of puffs on an inhaler she would be fine. Her oxygen levels were "quite low" according to the nurse, and then she stuck us in a room for 45 minutes. My daughter started crying because it was hurting her chest so much just to breath. Finally a doctor (who was quite friendly, I'll give him that) came in and said they'll call a respiratory therapist down and get this and that and this and that going. After repeating and repeating myself, I finally had to resort to begging. "Please! Please just write a prescription for an inhaler so we can go get her one and she can go to sleep!" He said, "Oh we have one right here we can give her," and pulled one out of the cabinet. Are you kidding me! She took a couple of puffs and was perfectly fine. Nearly two hours of pain and gasping when they could've solved the problem in moments. I was livid. Our recent visit was because my son had punctured the back of his throat with a toy. It's bleeding, he's crying, and we're just sitting there alone in a room for 45 minutes. When a nurse finally came in (to get insurance info, not actually help in any way) she said the doctor would be in very shortly. Apparently "very shortly" is another 20-30 minutes. The doctor looked in his throat and was in the room for no more than 3 minutes - no exaggerating. He promptly disappeared for another 20 minutes. When he finally returned he said, "We're just going to go ahead and let this heal on its own." You couldn't tell me that 90 MINUTES AGO!?! So today I'm online finding hospitals with better reviews. With a bunch of kids, ER visits are inevitable. I'm just bummed I'll have to drive farther for decent care. Well, it's 20 minutes in the car or 90 minutes waiting around at AF, so I guess it's worth it.

Kayla Houston

I thought the nurses were being helpful and great until we almost lost myself and my baby because they wouldn't listen to me. Luckily, my doctor told them to admit me because we had to do an emergency c section not even an hour later. The nurse was not able to get the iv in me and another had to do it. And then after my c section i had one amazing nurse. However, the one after that couldn't remember to give me my pain medication. When i asked her about it she said that is was busy and would have to remind her. When i did she still showed up an hour and a half late. I had just had major surgery. The lactation nurse stayed with me maybe 5 min and charged 200 dollars and the entire time just talked about how terrible myself and my baby and i were at breastfeeding. The "tip" she gave me made the next month of breastfeeding terrible until i used instict instead. It has been a year and i still have trauma. I will never go to this hospital again!!

I went in for an MRI on my back. When I made the apt, prior to the procedure, I asked what the total cost of the MRI and what my insurance would cover. They gave me an amount and I paid it in full. On the day of the procedure, I went into register for the procedure and asked a second time if I should expect any other bills than what I had already made arrangements for. The registrar said no. This was everything. Shortly after the procedure I received another $200+ bill. I called and said I had paid in full for my bill and the rest should be covered by my insurance. They responded that the bill I had paid was only for the hospital itself but I could get up to 2 more bills from doctors that had looked at the results. By the time I was done, I had paid triple what they had initially told me. They should have disclosed this when I went in for the procedure. This is misrepresentation and unprofessional. The Ironic part is that These doctors who 'reviewed' my results never contacted me at that time or by phone or email after. I had to track down results. It took me several hours on the phone to get results and then the results were 'yes, you have deterioration in your lumbar region. We can prescribe pain killers.' which came from the receptionist not any doctor. So why did I pay several hundred dollars for them to 'read' the results?

Great E.R. staff and great experience! I was cared for extremely well. Kudos to the whole team! They run a great program at A.F. hospital!

Ryan Fuller

Been in the hospital many times here for myself my children and other family members. Expert caring staff. Top notch doctors and beautiful facility. And if you get an East facing room, amazing scenery! Nice waiting rooms and family rooms. Beautiful state of the art ER. Excellent maternity and nursery facilities. Very clean and nice. Updated equipment, MRI, CT scanner, Heart equipment, sleep center, and amazing staff in the IV infusion center. Lorna Doones and Dr Pepper. Does it get better when you are stuck with tubes hanging out of you! Always friendly, helpful staff. Great nurses and phlebotomists. They also have a super ultrasound department and techs. Super caring oncology area. Even have special parking for the the really bad days. I would drive farther to get to this hospital if I had to!

Troy Jenkins

Worst care. Neglect. Bunch of Provo College kids “learning” on the job training after my wife had major surgery. Ridiculous.

Clint Goodman

We just had our baby there this past week. The labor and delivery staff are unbelievable. Hands down the best. Same goes for the mom and baby staff. We had one-on-one attention much of the time, they offered to do everything and more, the food was great, and even though we were there during the holiday and nighttime hours, everything was available and wonderful. Very impressed. Also, they give you a lot of education before you leave which is great.

We went into the Emergency department last night with a small laceration that needed stitches. There were several other people there that had more serious problems that needed to be treated first. The staff had the more serious cases taken in and us within just a few minutes of arriving. The doctor saw us just a few minutes after that and we were treated just a few minutes after that. I have never had a better experience and care in the Emergency room.

Charlene Ruben

I'm so disappointed in am fork hospital. There are truly some amazing nurses, but there are also ones who don't do their job and overall the hospital has let me down too many times. I ended up really sick my first c-section, which was avoidable and was in the ICU for 5 more days. I was incorrectly discharged my second c section, the nurse scooted me out of the room when I was supposed to stay and was sick for another week. But this time, You've really done it. You missed a critical ultrasound on my baby's spinal cord that she needed at birth. Which, I was told she had it for 4 months but that wasn't the case...it's a real shame.

Brittney King

The wound care clinic staff are amazing and treat my mom really well .

Brian lunt

We have had two horrible experiences here in the last month. The first time they left my wife alone in an ER room alone after giving her strong meds. She had a bad reaction, fell out of bed and cracked her head open. She laid in the floor for over 20 min in her own blood. Every alarm was going off and it took over an hour to get staples put in her head. Today the told my wife she would be leaving in 5 min so I came to pick her up with all four of my kids and waited for over 2 and half hours before they brought her the correct paperwork. 4 kids in a tiny hospital room for that long is a nightmare.

We have had several GOOD experiences in several different parts of the hospital-from day surgery to mammography. However, I suffered a TIA (a type of stroke) in October. While we were waiting for some of the test results to come back confirming the stroke the admitting team came in. I had already paid my emergency room copay of $250. The two people who came in told me that it would cost me more out of pocket. They suggested that I pay another $700 up front. So, here we are totally stressed out about my stroke, we have made a payment already, and they had the gall to ask for more at that time. By the way I did NOT have to pay an additional amount for that visit.

Kenzie Neal

I have only been to this hospital for labor and delivery and I loved it. If you are looking for a more relaxed feel, but still have the safety of a hospital this is the place. Everyone was amazing and I felt great the whole time. Side note: the bedside report thing that they do during shift change is pretty awesome. It gets you involved in your care and really opens the door of communication with your nurses.

Denny Bates

I just want to tell everyone that Brandy is the best nurse I have ever had. She seriously went beyond what she had to and she felt like she was a friend by the time I got discharged. I even let her hold my new-born baby, that's is how AWESOME she is. Emily is also in the same unit, and she is great as well. I recently had to visit a family member on that floor and it was like seeing old friends. Such a great nursing staff, especially Brandy and Emily. You gals rock!

DK Tolley

I love this hospital. I’ve delivered two children there, which were both very pleasant experiences. I should point out that I live between two other hospitals and choose to drive 15 minutes to deliver here. They go above and beyond in their service. Most recently I tried to send a friend of mine flowers and foolishly did so before I had her room number. A day later I checked with my friend and found she hadn’t received the flowers. I called and left a message about that and Heather from the volunteer office promptly called me back letting me know that my friend would be getting a bouquet from the hospital flower department, and that she would personally be making sure the flowers I sent were found and delivered - if possible. Not two hours later I got a text with a picture of my friend Heather and two beautiful bouquets of flowers in hand. Heather was amazing, and she a good representation of the staff at AF hospital.

Jenna Agrelius

Brandi was just about the sweetest nurse I've ever had. Great staff. Very clean.

Eric Hundley

The Nurses and Staff were so wonderful and concerned about me during my recent surgery. I felt they really cared about me and my comfort and recovery.

Emily Angel-Thomson

American Fork ER is the worst. Everytime I've come here for help they gave no sense of urgency whatsoever. If you absolutely need to go to the ER and have no other choice than to go here then do that but otherwise don't waste your time. The nurses are rude and they offer no help over the phone either. Also if you call this number you will have to explain your emergency and be redirected about three times before you even talk to someone at the ER.

Keri Beirdneau

Loved my delivery experience here. Granted most of that is thanks to my midwife, however the nurses were very encouraging and I felt like they were my cheerleaders as I deliverd my 11lbs. baby. It was a wonderful experience, and the follow-up care was personal and friendly and fantastic. Also, the food was awesome, loved the french fries! I wish my insurance now took IHC cause I would definitely deliver here again!

Earl Stevens

Took a family member in for stitches. Staff was very friendly and took care of us quickly. One of the quietest ER's I've ever visited.

Maigen's Normal life

They were great I got a nail in my foot. They did everything they could

Brittanee Holding

I can't say enough about the professionals that work for labor & delivery. I had a c-section In July, this was our 1st baby. I was super worried about the whole surgery. Right from the get go my nurse Becky was awesome, she explained everything, & made sure I was comfortable. Colby my anesthesiologist was the best I was told, and he seriously was! He explained everything that was happening during the whole surgery. He told me how I'd feel, & what to expect. After birth I had amazing nurses as well. I had a few Linzee, Stephanie, Melissa, Alex, I can't remember the rest of you, but they all made sure we were taken care of. Everyone down to Star in the cafeteria went above & beyond! Thank you for the excellent care! It does not go unnoticed!

Calista Goff

Just had my second baby here and the care is fantastic. Both my labor and delivery and recovery nurses were incredible.

Devonnie Crane

I never write reviews, but my experience at AF hospital made we want to write one! I had surgery with Dr. Tittensor and she's amazing! It was my first ever surgery, so I was nervous, but it was the EASIEST thing ever. They made me very comfortable and EVERYONE I talked to was so sweet. I wish I remembered the names of the front office lady, my nurse, and the anesthesiologist. Even the pharmacologists that came in were so sweet! I called and paid my bill yesterday and even the billing lady on the phone was sooo nice and helpful! I don't want to go anywhere else! (they even sent me a 'Get well soon' card)! When I have babies, I'll definitely try to go to AF hospital. Thank you for the great experience.

Andrada Usvat

I am truly satisfied with the care and services offered by the Dr Timothy Graham. He is a endocrinologist and diabetes specialist and provide very good care an understanding regarding his patiences .

Repair Guy

Been here at the ER for almost an hour, as my wife cries in pain. Still haven't even seen a nurse, or doctor. Just waiting in room. Ridiculous. She's not making this up! Help my wife! She had kidney stones. Horrible pain.

Russell Fischer

Our experience with Labor and Delivery was fantastic. They are hands-off (other than the delivery of course haha), but totally willing and able to help when you ask.

zach barney

Just spent 3 nights in the hospital w Rhabdomyolysis after a marathon. Every single doctor, nurse, PCT, custodial and room service employee that worked with me was incredibly kind, helpful and knowledgeable. They never once made me feel like a burden, and always treated me like I was their top priority. I tried not to be high maintenance, especially since I know there were people w more serious issues there, but they assured me that it was their job to make sure I was well taken care of.

Darren Noble

At this ER you are not allowed to be in pain more than once a month. It you do happen to have the audacity to be hurt more than once a month they'll refuse to treat you and send you home. The nurse will come in with discharge papers and if you say you're still in severe pain they just say sorry, the doctor said we can't do anything for you. Even if you aren't asking for opiods they'll still discharge you at a 10 with tears running down your face and tell you your out of luck and they won't do anything. Not only had this has happened to me many times, but I've talked to several other paitents with the same experiences.

Patrick Eckman

My Fiance of 9 years had a colonoscopy this morning. I was not welcomed, not given any info or instructions and the waiting room had a TV that was off. My Fiance was called back without much delay, but I was ignored. She was gone for well over an hour before I knew when she might have her procedure soon when she sent me a text. During this time another couple came in and the husband was welcomed and ushered right back to the room without having to even take a seat. My Fiance was never asked if she would like me to join her in the hospital room. She said she mentioned it would be nice, but no one offered or asked me. Her room was nice and had TV, but I had to wait 3 hours on my own. My Fiance said the nurses were very pleasant, but the doctor only came in afterwards and dropped off a picture, said a few words and left. I thought of my colonoscopy in Virginia 2 years ago. My Fiance & I had to wait for a child emergency, but she was invited in, treated well, informed, back in the room with me while I recovered and in the room sitting down with the doctor to go over the pictures and Q&A for at least 10 minutes. I was given something to drink, as well, while she was not and just told she could head out whenever. Hospital, procedure and were nurses great, but definitely lacking in some areas! I am a high level professional and so is she and we deserve better.

Doug Berrett

I have had nothing but good experiences here. They are growing a lot so there are a couple of growing pains that come along with that. And they are still limited to what they can offer. But IHC facilities in general are a few steps above other places I've been to.

Teresa Richins

The lab and radiology were great, very happy with my visit.

Kerry Farnsworth

Just had surgery there on the 3of June it went great Doctors and nurses were great

Bruce Mullenix

The registration folks were very personable and quick to respond got me registered and took my payment. Phlebotomy staff was excellent and got my stick one time. He ultrasound tech was very courteous and very good at keeping my privacy during procedure and after. Thank you for a good experience.

Jared Anderson

Do not come here to deliver your kids! My wife & her OB filed a formal complaint against AF Hospital and the on-call doctor in Labor & Delivery. We should have had our child naturally by now, but thanks to AF not requesting her file or even dropping a simple phone call to my wife's OB office, my wife will have to get a C-section, which could have been avoided. If you like to have your symptoms marginalized and be given improper treatment (even surgery) because of incompetent doctors that don't bother to learn about your previous medical history - this is the hospital for you. - BTW - a part of her medical history was coming to this hospital not even 3 months ago with every symptom of stroke. It took about 5 hours before they could even get an MRI. This hospital is a joke. *Edit - you have our contact information. You want to resolve this properly, please contact us instead of just copying/pasting your responses to google reviews.

Melissa Simon

I have delivered 2 children here. I felt respected and well cared for.

Annarae Baldi

My daughter went there in July to the emergency room and the nurses, tech, and Doctor were all rude, awful, and unprofessional to her!! She is a depressant and they thought she was a heroine addict and only there for drugs- really shouldn't you try to find out what is wrong before you make a judgement call!! Oh wait she never did get diagnosed just got her blood drawn, got sent home and now got a HUGE bill in the mail. PLEASE DO NOT EVER take anyone from your family here- you will get bad service, not get any answers on what is wrong with you and then a really LARGE bill.

Amy Schellenberg

I was there 4 months ago when I delivered my son. I was horrified at how horrible the service of care was. The only thing I asked for was drinks of water and they did not even do that. I had to wander around trying to find water. I passed the nurses station and all the nurses were there chatting. I had no idea what I paid for while staying in the hospital. Worst care ever. I ended up leaving the first night. I even had a nurse tell me to not use the call button unless I really needed them. I was told this after I just came down from delivering and had not even pushed the call button once. The same nurse also pointed to the diapers and said I did not need to call them for any diaper changes because the diapers were right there. I will never go to this hospital again.

Dylan Balzly

The best experience I've ever had at a hospital. All of the nurses were great and me and my wife did not feel like a bother. They really took the stress off our baby being in the NICU.

Mitchell Christensen

This is a bad hospital. Every time we go here we are disappointed. We don't expect miracles but we expect them to be professional. We heard the words "Do whatever you want" said to patients more than 20 times while we were there for 24 hours. We will never go back to this hospital. Hospitals need a person there to manage what is going on. I feel like everyone is working as individuals and there is no plan or organization to what they are doing. The doctor that we worked with was very unprofessional. They wouldn't even close the door before making jokes to the nurses. They were very loud when he was trying to sleep. I know that it is hard but at a hospital you have to hire people who are willing to take the job seriously.

Shannon Borcherds

The ER doctor and nurses were excellent. Great bedside manner, I felt in the loop and they took care of me. The surgery department was also very good. The only issue was a discrepancy of discount policy for paying the bill (self paying) between the ER department and Surgery department but it was worked out and all is well.

Katie Patty

Delivered two babies here. Care was good, nurses were kind. I was satisfied on first and second labor and delivery except for one thing that has bothered me for two years. My dr told me after I delievered that the nurse told her that she lied to me, the nurse told me upon checking me that I was dialated to 6 or 7 but was actually a 8 or 9. This lie changed my whole birthing decisions and experience. I feel like this is sich a huge deal that something should be said and something should be done. I wouldn’t have chosen an epidural if I would have know I was so close and I wonder if I technically should have been even able to have an epidural. Wasn’t I too far along? My delivery was delayed an hour to receive the epidural and I had already had the urge to push. Was this a thing to do to get more epidurals billed? Was this nurse instructed to do this to manage the patient? Was she instructed to do this by her manager?

Mike Hoffert

Waited over an hour in the wait room for a scheduled endoscopy. Nurses sounded like they had no idea what they were talking about. The nurses all sounded irritated too. Not what I would expect from a medical professional. After waiting 2 hours for the procedure. The doctors convinced my wife after drugging to her to change the procedure. This is ridiculous!!!

Andrea Page

This review is for the birthing unit, and all of the stars off are due to the lactation support. I decided to switch to the midwife group that operates out of this hospital, and I'd heard good things about AF and natural birthing. That part went OK, but the lactation support single-handedly destroyed my ability to breastfeed for this child. As a first-time mom, I went in only knowing basics and did not have any breastfeeding-experienced family support present. I've learned a lot more since then, and all other lactation professionals I have related this story to have been appalled. When my daughter turned out to have jaundice, I was given a bottle to supplement without being told of alternatives like at-the-breast supplementation - a very basic no-no for establishing a supply, but I was inexperienced and did as I was told. They failed to diagnose her tongue and tip tie, which were inhibiting milk transfer. Since she was sleepy from the jaundice she was missing feedings, and when the LC saw that the tubing was broken on the flange kit I was given, never offered to get another so I could double pump. I never understood just how much I should be pumping due to her sleepiness/lack of sucking because of the supplementation, and while the LC on duty took the time to go have a talk with our pediatrician after she found out he'd suggested formula instead of donor milk to clear the jaundice out faster and gave my husband and myself a long lecture about how ONE DROP OF FORMULA would totally change our baby's gut, no one followed up or helped me with technique to be sure I was able to establish a supply with a sleepy, supplemented baby. When we went home with her bilirubin still high, they handed us a pack of formula, anyway, and discouraged looking into breast milk sharing. What's more, when my milk started to come in on the last day, I asked whether the feel of my breasts was normal. I was told to massage them until it hurt to get rid of "blockage" - but that caused so much swelling that milk couldn't come out well for a couple of days. As I became familiar with my breasts after, that level of "lumpiness" is normal for when I'm engorged. By the time I found GOOD support and started the mission to rescue my milk supply, it had nearly been three weeks and the best period for establishing supply had passed. After months of wasted time I could have spent snuggling my baby and hundreds of dollars spent, I have a half-supply. That dreaded ONE DROP of formula they took the time to lecture me about has turned into months of feedings needed because I never received proper support in the hospital. Aside from the lactation - but contributing to the issue - my two day stay felt like a marathon of interruptions. My husband and I were inundated with material we were supposed to read or watch before leaving the hospital, all while having to deal with the new baby and many tests, visits, vital checks, etc. It made it confusing to know what issues we really needed to pay attention to as first-time parents (like building milk supply) and was stressful. Most of the mountain of information turned out to be extremely basic, as well, and I believe is more to legally cover their behinds than organized in a user-friendly and focused way. If nothing else, please take an opportunity to re-evaluate the way your lactation support is organized! First things first - she can't breastfeed if the doesn't have a supply!

Aaron Wilkinson

Wonderful hospital and a great place to deliver a baby. We have delivered 2 of our 5 and love how they have a no separation policy with the mother and baby.

Miriam Rodriguez

My experience was excellent. everyone in the team work very well in knows what they doing. They don't waste your time waiting. The doctor was great. Everyone was great!!

Carla Belliard

Nice hospital. Very clean and neat

Ron Kemper

Very slow to respond

Konnor Mostert

Great doctors and easy to find what you need

Luke Morris

American Fork is an excellent hospital. I was amazed at how quickly my wife was able to get in for a CT scan, next day, and was in and out in less than 20 minutes. I was taking the kids around the hospital thinking it would take hours but they were done so fast and we were ready to go. I recommend this hospital to anyone.

Ming Yang

Crooked billing system designed to confuse people! I took my daughter to their emergency room for vomiting. The doctor looked at her and prescribed some antibiotics. When I received the bill, the visit was classified as a level 4 treatment! There was no tests, no trips to the lab, nothing significant. I tried everything I can think of to have this classification reviewed - Visited the hospital 3 times trying to find an administrator to talk to - Called their billing department multiple times and was told only the ER doctor can review this - Called the ER doctor's office multiple times and was told only the hospital can review hospital charges After a few months, the hospital threatened to send the bill to collections and didn't offer any solution. I paid the bill with disgust due to a billing system design the confuse and obfuscate patients, and more importantly, maximize profit by mis-categorizing the visit. I hope someone can share my experience and not give their hard earned money to this place.

Paul Hazelbarth

Clean and ready to serve your needs. And on the bonus side their cafeteria food is amazing. One of the best hospital foods I've had. Only wish they served sweets though. (ex. cookies and candy). Anyways, this place is ranked one of the top small hospitals in Utah and through my experience all the staff and doctors are well experience and take great care of your needs when your there.

Ingrid Bell

In and out in quick order this morning. Appreciated it very much!

Hannah Olsen

The hospital is clean the Drs are good and almost all the nurses I encountered were nice.

McKnight Daryl

We were treated exceptionally!

Gina Wheelwright

They were very efficient, friendly, answered my questions and totally knew what they were doing.

Kelli Gentry

Was great! The new surgery center at A.F. Hospital is clean, organized and well ran;) Dr. Hamilton is the best!

Matt Young

I would also give them zero stars if possible, completely incorrect diagnosis. I went in due to extreme facial pain and swelling, they acted like I was trying to just get pain meds, they released me saying it was just cellulitis. I woke up at 3 this morning with extreme swelling along with other symptoms that my release papers said it required to seek medical attention. I returned to the E.R. and again wad treated as if all I wanted was pain meds. They said there is nothing they can do however they are surely billing me again. I went to my doctor today to find it was an abscess tooth. I will never return to this hospital.

darwin davis

My son went in with a kidney stone. They did a scan and sent him home with a prescription. It cost us $2,500 for NOTHING. The prescription did NOTHING for him. It was a waste of his time and a waste of our money. We couldn't even talk to anyone after because of privacy laws as he is over 21, even though we are the responsible party. POOR SERVICE by both the physicians and the Hospital.

Jay Brown

The restaurant in the basement is fantastic, the menu changes frequently, the food is high quality, fresh, and has a fast food price tag.

Amy Carter

Pretty good care and consideration but could use improvement. Staff was nice a professional but didn't really go the extra mile. Just kinda floated me through there.

Brossette Lewis

Great place for birthing babies. :) Helpful to new moms!

Vanessa Jackson

I called, not knowing what to expect trying to make my first prenatal appointment. The lady on the phone just sounded dumbfounded that I didn’t know where to call. She was so rude, I tried not to cry on the phone while she was being extremely snappy and rude. When I hung up I said alright thank you for your help her response was so dead and monotoned “Ya alright, bye”. Truly doesn’t even deserve a star at all.

Joshua Cameron

Needed surgery after being in the ER and was diagnosed with complicated acute appendicitis and the surgeon I was assigned to would not perform surgery even when I asked for surgery multiple times during my multiple day stay because I needed it. If you ask about patient rights in choice of proper treatment the hospital defends the surgeon (for not performing surgery). I wasn't asking for any surgeon who is uncomfortable doing surgery on me to be forced to do it. I was asking for surgery and treatment to be provided from someone who IS comfortable doing it which they were not. I wish there was a mechanism in place so that you can be re-assigned to a different surgeon when your needs are not being met. I felt like a prisoner at this hospital until I was finally discharged 4 days later. I had to go to a different hospital and surgeon for proper treatment and had a quick outpatient surgery and was back on the road to recovery right away with immediate relief. I was billed as much at this hospital as I was at the one that actually did the surgery. I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone. Go to the bigger ones in Salt Lake Valley and definitely ask for a second opinion if you need surgery and didn't receive it here.

Nathan McClellan

Somehow they are "in network" and not "in network" at the same time. I pay good money for insurance and did my research to go to an "in network" provider. In the ER I can't choose what Dr I go to. I had to pay extra because of your incompetence. Get your act together.

Christian Aledo

I am disappointed in the treatment we have been given and we have yet to receive. Two months ago we called in and scheduled my wife's induction. Today, the day before she was scheduled to go in at 7:30AM was contacted by the staff to let us know that she will be placed on a standby notice. That ranged from 4:00am tomorrow morning till 12:00am the next day. I called in. The lady I spoke with was very nice, and explained to me the reasoning behind it. I understood certain aspects of the reasoning like. "If someone that just goes into labor." I understand that. But she instructed me that it was more specifically because of 2 C Sections that were scheduled. So my question is. Did they over book? When we called two months ago. Were the C sections on the calendar? If so... Couldn't we have chosen another day? So we could have a specific time to go in? What I got from the conversation was that American Fork Hospital has a lack professional curtsy for other peoples time, And a lack of professional planning. I was told that she is "elective" so she is not a high priority. This is not the first time we have scheduled an induction. Last place we went to was Mountain Point Hospital. We had a set time. We showed up and everything went as planned. I know I will not be returning to American Fork Hospital. And if we can find a hospital that will take us before our unknown date and time, we will not be going tomorrow. Hope this helps people make a decision.

Heidi Fry

There was terrible communication between the staff. I was rarely informed results of tests and neglected without any iv fluids for hours. I was treated like an item off a checklist. They took me from the waiting room to yet another waiting room where I was stuffed in a small area with other patients.

Peyton Cook

I wouldn't give them any stars if I could. My grandmother went to the ER with severe chest pains that she had been experiencing for nearly two weeks. The ER doctor ran the bare minimum for tests, saw nothing and very smugly sent her home. As a result she had a MASSIVE HEART ATTACK less than twelve hours later. Her new doctor was absolutely appalled that she had been sent home, because the blockage that showed up on one of the (apparently) routine tests they performed was HUGE and very obvious. So thanks AF Emergency department, for very nearly killing our grandma because you couldn't be bothered to do your jobs the right way. And very big thanks to Mountain Point Medical and the EMTs who showed up for saving her life.

Doug Gordon

I have been going to the wound clinic for a while. I have also spent time in the hospital. The wound clinic is the best i have gone to.it is like a family.they know how to get you better. The best clinic i have gone to.

Jared Hartman

Friendly staff, excellent physicians, home like care. American Fork hospital is full of professionals. The few times I've had to go, I've left as happy as you could be leaving a hospital.

Stephanie Valeri

I delivered my baby here and was a patient in labor and delivery, mom baby, and my son was in the level 2 nursery. The nursing staff was really good (I'm a nurse so I'm usually pretty picky in regards to nursing care). As a first time mom they were very supportive. I got discharged before my son and b/c the unit wasn't very busy we were able to "board" for $30/night. That meant we could stay in our room without nursing care but we got to stay close to our baby. The nursery nurses were amazinglysupportive and taught us so much. I'll never say I was glad our little guy had to be there, but a possitive side effect was having lots of knowledgeable nurses showing us how to be new parents.

Julie Randall

Quick ER!

Emilee Tanner

The nurse who put in the iv was nice but didnt listen when I told her the iv was causing pain. I have chest pain and can barely breath and when I ask for something to help with the pain I get told they will ask the dr. Asked 4 times in the last hour. I feel like I have been forgotten everytime. Will not come back

Jessica Gardiner

When i had my daughter 8 years ago i dreaded having my son at this hospital because my experience was so bad. Well i had no choice because my dr only delivers there. I had great staff in labor and delivery as i personally know lots of them. But going to mother and baby i had great nurses up until i had to go home. I had an emergency c section. The nurse on the last day didnt wheel me out in a wheelchair and made me walk and carry my son from my room to my car and i had to ask for a cart to take my stuff on. Then when i had my hysterectomy i had the worst nurses in the world. I had to stay over night all my nursing staff was great up until shift change the day i went home from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. they didnt regulate my pain and made me take my pain medicine my dr prescribed for me to take home. So i didn't have enough to get me through at home. So i had to call my dr for another prescription. I felt like a druggy. The nurse was so hard to understand and he never came to check on me then the pct that was assigned to me was a perv and cracking gross jokes when i asked for mesh underwear. I feel like i am treated so well then when i am ready to go home the nurses just want me out so they just dont care. I loved my night nurse and pct though they were amazing and always checked in on me made sure i had water and my pain was controlled and that i was comfortable and had enough pillows. But those last nurses on all 3 visits totally sucked.

JustBreathe

The care has improved since we last used their services. If you would have asked me to rate them 3 years ago, I would have given them 3 stars. Having more competition in the area has bumped them to improve the experience. If you are on the fence on using them from an experience you may have had years ago, I would recommend you give them another try this time around (if your insurance allows you to).

Maretta Evans

The staff at American Fork Hospital is great. Nice, welcoming, accommodating!

Pat Pymm

I go to the American Fork Wound Clinic In Utah I love all the staff, they are wonderful to me, and have taken such great care of my Wounds, and have been a concerned about my emotiional care...they are the best...

Casie Ann Robinson

The ER here is horrible. The Doctor I saw was great, but the nurses had the worse bed side manner. They were non attentive and honestly didn't even look like they cared about what was going on, like it was a total inconvenience for them. Next time there is an emergency the time will be taken to go to a different hospital. IHC in Sandy is a great hospital and has a wonderful ER. Very attentive, and showed that they cared. This is where I will be going from now on!

I visited the wound clinic and they were excellent. They were very professional and considerate. They treat me like royalty. I really appreciate everything they do for me. I strongly recommend them to anyone.

Just like ALL UTAH COUNTY HOSPITAL, NO HELP, OVER AN HOUR WAIT STILL NO HELP.... JUST WAITING. IT'S LIKE GOVERNMENT WORK, HURRY UP AND WAIT!!!! After everything was said and done, first doctor to know what the know issue was!! For that IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!!!!

I have always had a terrific experience here. Within the past two years both of my great-grandparents have been at this hospital and I have had a baby. I have always been impressed by the nurses and doctors and their attention to detail and terrific bedside manner. Additionally, if you have to stay for any amount of time, the room service food is awesome! You get to decide what you want and when you want it. Additionally, their staff is always kind and punctual.

I had my fourth child at this hospital and it was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had. The staff care more about following their policies and protocols than the health and well-being of patients. I was literally bugged every thirty minutes by a different staff member claiming to "help" me with something. Every time I got my newborn to sleep, they would wake her up. In addition, their staff is clueless in answering basic medical questions. I am never coming to this hospital again. I will switch my insurance plan if I have to.

I recently had a family member give birth here. Overall, a happy, clean, secure and knowledgeable staff. The family Center in the Labor & delivery was nice. I now associate the Happy addition of a new & healthy family member with drinking diet cokes & eating Lorna Doones

This hospital sucks. There is literally nothing good about it. The ER doctors here have not been at all knowledgeable. Last time I went in, I was pregnant with a feeding tube and having complications from it. The doctor didn't even know which organ it was supposed to lead to. The ER sent me up to Labor and Delivery who escorted me back to the ER. No one knew what they were doing. They gave me fluid and anti-nausea medication and sent me home with low sodium and Potassium but told me the results came back normal. It was only slightly off but saying it came back normal is still a lie and them being slightly odd would have explained my symptoms. I was also still throwing up so they levels were not going to get any better. Scheduling here is a mess and has finally lead me to my last straw to leave a bad review for this hospital. They have no clue how to find orders. I have had to go there 3 times now for the same thing and everytime they find the orders somewhere they are supposed to be but most of the schedulers are lazy and won't check anywhere else. It's so unprofessional and careless. They are also always quite rude about it and so quick to blame my doctor's office when it really is actually their fault. If you have time or gas to drive to another hospital, do it. These guys will make everything worse. They are remodeling their building but it realistically is their staff that needs to have major overhaul. What is the point of having a hospital if they can't deal with serious issues in the first place? Worst IHC I have ever experienced. I am surprised they are even affiliated.

I came to the wound clinic and they were so knowledgeable and courteous. Dr. Trevor seen that there wasn't a big change happening so he switched up my medical salve and it made the world of difference. Ryan and the other nurses were awesome as well.

This is the worst emergency room in the whole state of Utah. The drs don’t care, the nurses are aloof at best. They keep you waiting forever when you’re in agonizing pain and need help. They don’t care about your care or you on any level with the exception of paying your copay or bill. They do the least possible help to get in you and then out. But of course that’s after you wait forever and ever. I hate this place. Don’t go here unless you’re desperate for half hearted care.

The emergency doc placed blood thinner on my mom after treatment, three weeks later my mom went to the emergency again and didn't get enough test to capture the side effect (causing brain bleeding) of blood thinner, two days later my mom fell down due to the brain bleeding and passed away a few weeks later after the second brain bleeding. Frist time, the doctor and nurses did a quick response and efficient treatment for my mom's Atrial fibrillation and very thorough tests which I appreciated, but the second times when my mom went back to the ER, they didn't test to monitor impact the blood thinner they prescribed on my mom, and they have not warned us that this blood thinner will cause brain bleeding. This drug approved by FDA and issued by the hospital doctor eventually killed my mom.

Such kind, caring, and attentive nurses, techs, doctors, and staff here, especially in labor & delivery and mother & baby recovery. =) Also the food is awesome! Great experience.

Worst hospital ever!! By far. Also has the worst reputation of any hospital I been to. Even employees at other hospitals say the know how bad the E.R. nurses and doctors are here.If you complain to administration in person, they don't care. If you have a complaint in the E.R. they tell you if you don't like it go somewhere else!! They hire the worst of the worst here.Dont go to A.F. hospital ever.Your life depends on it. I hear the doctors and nurses make fun of patients out loud too. They just need to turn this hospital into a parking lot. No joke.

Natasha Shallow

Poor experience in ER.

Although I work at the hospital I had never been to the ED as a patient. The care was phenomenal. The wait was less than 10 minutes. Every person I encountered was kind and explained everything they did. Kudos to an awesome team

Jeran Batton

not friendly, terrible bed side manners, misinfromed us, misdiagnosed, and caused more problems then when we got there.

Ryan Murphy

My wife had our second baby here. It's nice to know a $10k+ bill will get you great service.
