My wife was seen in the Wharton Oak Bend ER. The staff was awesome and we'd like to say special thanks to Nurse Katrina and Dr. Weinberg for the professional care they gave to my wife. Thank you so much!

My father received care here a few weeks ago and while we were there we seen our nurse by the name of Veronica grab another guy that was wearing grey by his private and they both started laughing at it. I don’t know what sort of facility you people are trying to run but my father and I witnessing that was purely disgusting and unprofessional. I mentioned it to a nurse and she said she was going to report their behavior. I know I will NEVER return and what is sad is that a friend of the family told us she witnessed something similar between these two when she came in for a fracture. Most unprofessional behavior. You don’t even see things like this happen in retail or fast food. I will never return nor my family and I pray something is done about those two.

My mother was admitted there and she suffers from depression. She has been living in an assisted living center in Wharton. Due to her depression she fakes injuries to get medication. The first fake fall she was taken to Oakbend, diagnosed with no injuries then returned. The next day another fake fall for meds and she goes back. The ER staff at Oakbend called and suggested she go to an acute care facility. I explained what she does and why she does it and informed them that’s why I have power of attorney and preferred she go back to assisted living. Instead of understanding the sad situation they sent her on to acute care.

I took my daughter here recently, the most unprofessional hospital I've ever been too. The doctor seemed too be bothered, he would say "i guess I'll do a strep and a flu." The nurse by the name of Mark Chris asked me for my child's weight, he asked me if i knew what that was in kilos? It's not my responsibility to know that. He then tried too weight my 2 YEAR OLD on a newborn scale, that was just very strange to me, she could've been weighed on an adult weighing machine since she can stand. They all just seemed like they didn't want too work. I will not be returning...

I love Oakbend. This is the second time I have used the Wharton ER. Kristi, Rebecca , Rosemary and Amanda were very compassionate at 4 am. I was immediately seen despite having several other people in the ER. Dr. Pham came in and listens to my needs. I Was treated and released very quickly. The whole staff did a great job of getting g me taken care of.

Amazing ER. Literally they call you back as soon as you register. Like there is no wait at all. Tell me another ER that does that! They took care of my brothers nail puncture injury in an hour and gave him antibiotics. Also, brought my daughter in for a injured tailbone and they took us in right away and exrayed in a few minutes. We literally left in less than an hour. The people that worked there are nice and trying to make the visit quick. Truly an amazing place to go if you have an actual emergency and aren’t abusing the system and making others wait in line.

Never go here!!!! This is the exact type of place you do not want to be if you need help! The doctor seemed annoyed that you are there, bothered they have to help you, bothered that you have an opinion, bothered that you have questions. The head nurse was kind and compassionate, but the others seemed totally incompetent. I picked up my kid and wked out after 10 minutes in this poor excuse for a hospital. Make the drive to memorial hermann or methodist unless you are ok with sub par care when you need it the most!
