REVIEWS OF VA Nashville Campus IN Tennessee

Julie Freeze

I've been coming to the VA in Nashville for about 5 years. The service I've encountered is friendly and respectful. I recently had to go to the ER. I really appreciated the people there. They really care about the Veteran. Not only did they take wonderful care of me while I was there, they asked me to call them when I got home which is over an hour away, and I received a follow up call the next day asking me how I was. I would like to give a special thank you to Nurse Practitioner Scott and weekend social worker, Cynthia Wagner. Keep up the great work!!

Ray Lawson

My interaction could not be more positive!!! I wear hearing-aids provided and maintained by the VA (Nashville) Campus.Over the course of a of years I have had the need for adjustments to the devices; without exception the attention of the Audiology Department doctors and tech support staff could not have been more professional and caring. I am no longer physically able to gio in for hearing aid repairs and adjustments. Audiology provided instructions for using the postal . USPS. Within three days I received a call from Dr. Stephanie Mondelli, Staff Audiologist advising that the repairs had been made and that the aids were shipped back to me. I am greatful and appreciative for this care and attention.

Tim Myers

Good customer service

This hospital took over 5 hours to fully examine my grandpa. They also said to "rules" only one person is aloud to go back to the examining room and left me and my brother here waiting for atleast 3 hours. I had a very bad experience. Plus my grandpa said they put him in a room with someone that pooped on the floor. That is absolutely disgusting.

Randy Keeton

I’ve always been told you get what you pay for. With the VA in Nashville that’s not true, you get a lot more than you pay for. The people are kind, respectful, and they really care. At most hospitals you spend hours waiting and get a huge bill in the mail. With the VA you still have to wait but the bill is way less and everybody thanks you for your service. In reality we should be thanking them for thier service.

Michael Reep

Hope you don't have to try to get in touch with a nurse in the GU clinic. been working on it for 4 days, waited on hold for over 2 hours, 15 to 20 transfers, left several messages, can't get a call back

Davey Johnson

Great experience always for the service I have and now I get it. God is good.

Mohamed Rafi

Located inside Vanderbilt University hospital & medical school!!!

larry brothers

Great doctors. Would like to have a phone number so that we could call to see how long the wait time was at the ER room FYI.

Jason Trent

The VA hospitals have gotten some bad press lately, so I wanted to brag on the VA here in Nashville. My dad has had to visit the VA here for a multitude of reasons over the years, and he said they always made him feel like a king. Well, today I got to witness that first hand, and he was right. From check in, pre-op, and post-op, every person involved was absolutely great! He was nervous about the surgery, and they made him feel important and calmed his fears. They were very informative and didn't talk over him. They listened too, which is so important. I'd list all their names, but not sure if that's appropriate. Thank you VA of Nashville, TN!

David Calhoun

They have always been very attentive and proactive in taking care of my father. Most of the doctors (and he has many) involved in my father's care are Vanderbilt doctors who also work at the VA, so you get physicians from one of the best and most advanced Hospitals in the nation. Great partnership between Vanderbilt and The VA.

Richard Longstreth

The only thing I don't particularly like about this VA hospital is that it's an hour to an hour and a half drive each way. The staff has always been outstanding, professional and accommodating. Today, when there is so much negativity direct at VA healthcare, I consider myself blessed to have such a great place to turn to.

Tony Venson

Better care than you get in Birmingham, AL

Jessica Miller

Rediculous wait time in the ER

The Jones'

Staff was great.

Brian Younglove

Very nice facility

Paul Shannon Osborn

It's a great place for Veteran's to go and find out about their benefit options. Just ask the friendly volunteers in the Red polo shirts. If you are homeless go here and talk to the people in the homeless program. *If you got an honorable discharge you will qaulify. You don't have to have went to war. If you didn't get an honorable and you are homeless go still they will help you aswell.

Michael Hall

Getting Vet's meds should be a no fail mission. 4 months in a row they have failed this mission. Best part is I cannot use a different pharmacy because of the VA. HORRIBLE PEOPLE work here! Call for help and get hung up on or screamed at because "you are wasting their time". This place should be shut down!!

Jason Moriset

They seen to have their stuff together. I rarely have a problem getting help there.

David Clark

Take care of every need I have

Owen O'Reilly

I hear bad things about the VA from fellow Vets. I must say this is not true of the TN valley system. I've been very pleased by everything clinics, hospitals, doctors, all the staff are amazing. I wouldn't want to go any where else VA or private, the care given here is the best.

Nick Dayton

I went to the Nashville Tn. location emergency this afternoon for personal reasons. SO I JUST GOTTA..... thank the entire staff....i'm so grateful to the level of professionalism that is given. Big Shout out to the doctors, Bi-bi the RN, Crystal the wonderful HTC. & the others. Y'all are wonderful. Sincerely, Nick.

Michael Edmonds

A lot better than it use to be.

Mm Bond

Overall a great place. Went to the E.R. a few mos ago & they took great care of me. The X-ray department Is on the ball & so is the pharmacy. Need more parking spaces. Proud to be a Vet!

Mindy Wilson

The wait wasn’t that bad. Staff was friendly and helpful. Dr. Allen was extremely kind and was empathetic to my concerns. I left there very satisfied and felt my needs were adequately addressed.

Matthew Leverett

A good place to go if you want to join the 22 a day

Ken Williams

I have always been treated with respect, dignity and efficiency here

Noah Sloan

Horrible triage nurse! As a former hospital corpsman and current RN I injured myself while visiting Nashville so went to this local VA hospital. While sitting in the empty ER for five hours, telling the triage nurse I’m in pain, nauseous, and have an extremely swollen knee I was not even offered an ice pack. Head out of town to a different hospitals fellow vets.

This facility goes above and beyond to make sure the Veteran is taken care of. I highly recommend TVHS.

Outstanding care!!

VA always takes care of its own

Tom Cruse

Needed a Dr. to look at my eye problem, maybe an infection, so I went to emergency after hours. Waited for a hour and half, then they came out and told us in the room that we might be waiting six more hours. I don't think so. This is the WORST Va. I have been to.

Stuart Armour

Good care for vets here.

B Hamilton

Getting an appointment at the VA is like waiting for Jesus to return.

melvin harrell

As of yet I can't give them any stars.(HAD TO GIVE THEM ONE STAR TO POST) On 10/31/2016 my 38 year old 100% disabled (vet) Son died, from neglect at gateway hospital in Clarksville Tn. In May of this year I made a formal request to this place for his V.A. Medical records, but since I did not send it Cert. mail, I have heard nothing. Not one word. This week I have resent this request to them yet again. This time by Certified mail. This request is being tracked, and at this time it is in Nashville in route to Address 1310 24th Av S nashville Tn.37212. I will let everyone know if I get his records this time or NOT. A GRIEVING FATHER.

Lois Gore

Nashville va is the greatest my husband has have quite a few surgery there from open heart to both legs and we have have always been treated so nice from all of the staff the nurses down in icu are great he wouldn't go no where else thank you va of Nashville

Kristin Graf

I've had a great experience with this VA

Michael Davis

This is one of the better VAMCs in the country. I don't know if it being surrounded by Vanderbilt University but the VA needs to use what works here throughout the system.

Ghostguygaming Hearts

VA meets and exceeds all expectations!

Vincent Chappell

Great, except for parking

kim curlee

Been taking my brother here off and on for 7 years. Never any problems. Outstanding service and volunteers

Jeff Dempsey

They try really hard and do a great job.

Jim Ivey

Best rhuematology department ever. I have "Never" had any pain when administering my prednisone shots in all of my fingers. They're kind and caring. Not giving 5 stars because I cannot get through the phone system to make an appointment. The operators have to put me through to another department to make my appointments in rhuematology This is pathetic!

Randy Wentz

They count you as a number

Roy Cheshire

I am still waiting for my appointment 21 minutes past time.

Zach Merrill

Have experienced nothing but the utmost professionalism from every single member of the staff, while I've been going through my stem cell transplant. Sarah on day shift in the bone marrow transplant unit deserves a raise, or at the very least some kind of recognition. I've never had care from any medical professional like I've had from her. The level she goes to, to ensure her patient's comfort is unreal.

nash estafan

Great place . Thank god They are Angeles that saved my life .

Ron Reagan

Just had to call to change my address with the VA. Spoke to Stephanie. She was so very nice on the phone and thanked me for calling to change my address. The VA needs more of this kind of person working there. I just wish they could stop the "circle of frustration" that their phone system puts us through. Around and around, then finally, there is someone as sweet as Stephanie to help me with my request. Thank you Stephanie!!

Lanita Christian

Not a happy spouse! Attempted to call my husband's doctor at the Meherry Clinic (using the number that was given to me BY the Clinic) and was told that there was no way to contact the office directly, that I would need to leave a message, but that there was no way they could guarantee the office would get that message before Monday! Then I tried to call the VA Campus to get in touch with a patient advocate and when they FINALLY pick up the call they disconnect you like they can't hear you!!

Karen Connelly

Just was in the VA ER with my husband for 10 hours. From the time I walked in the reception area till we walked out excellent care. His ER nurses Siberia and Poe were friendly and kept us informed and his doctor Saralyn Williams was one of the best ER doctors I've ever met. She even came in and talked to me when he was getting his CT. I was overwhelmed by their exceptional professionalism and caring attitudes. Thanks also to our sweet transporter also. After the bad PR the VA has received lately I felt impressed to share our story and say thanks to them all.

Carol Rittel

My 36 year old nephew has been going to this ER/facility for 2 years with blood in his urine. All they have done is give him antibiotics. Now he has BLADDER CANCER and they have NOT scheduled his surgery. What in God’s name are they doing to our veterans? If they make it back alive from their service, this VA hospital will kill them!

Thomas Beach

A life saver, don't doubt it:-)

Keanya Knowles

Went to the VA last year Jan time frame for lump in breast. They all Seemed lost except for the radiology department. Lump went away until this week. The lump has come back with a painful vengeance within a weeks time in the same spot. I drive from Clarksville to Nashville for help and what I got was waiting for 7 hrs while they laugh and giggle. I confuse bunch of people on the surgeon team. Yet the ultrasound people was perfect. End the end no blood work was done to determine if there was an infection. But after 7hrs I was given antibiotics and sent home in pain same lump. And starving As a Veteran I believe I deserve better treatment. I believe that at the very least I deserve to be pain free. This is the worst experience and I will be reporting higher. Now I will have to come out of pocket for assistance when the VA was set up to serve Veterans not have giggle sessions

Jacob Peterson

The health clinic is typically dirty, understaffed, and they like scheduling appointments so that you will either heal or die long before they have to see you. I broke my leg thursday and i HAVE to see an orthopedic surgeon by monday, but my primary care doctor hasnt gotten the note, so nobody in the entire va system can do anything... really? Oh you have an appointment and you show up 15 minutes early after an hour and a half drive? You can still expect to wait 4-5 hours, then be blown off and left empty handed. They recommended i get private health insurance because the va is only designed to see me once a year- thats the kind of help our veterans get.

Don Potter

Never have any problems. Very professional and caring staff.

Vivian Fivecoat

My care has always been outstanding

Loretta Hanson

I receive excellent, top notch, and compassionate care

donnie cardwell

They care of myself along with the thousands of veterans that put their lives on the line so that everyone could enjoy the lives they live

stephanie Staley

Never had an issue here. Everyone I have had contact with has been friendly and knowledgeable. We have always been treated with respect.

Brent Whiittin

Always treated with respect and care

Ester Valido

Fantastic experience! Spent five hours taking care of all my concerns for my initial appt after retirement. They were great! Listened carefully and gave all referrals needed and get taken care of better than when I was in the army, crazy to say, but honestly. Again, initial assessment. More to follow. Highly recommend. Thank you again for the amazing experience that I was expecting to be horrific!

David Byers

I received great care here. The surgeons were great. The nurses also took great care of me.

I flew into Nashville and was so congested and severe migraine. I arrived at Nashville, VA to be greeted and helped immediately. I can’t say enough how much I appreciated being treated so well at a different VA facility that I don’t normally go to. I was on my way in about 4 hours and felt so much better. Thank you!

Perry Guilford

Could not be happier with the service I have received in the Nuclear Medicine and Cath Lab. All were extremely professional and caring towards my needs.

william graves

Best VA that I have ever been to!

Aaden Daniels

My experience here is... you are treated very well at this VA hospital. Respectful. Man... even the janitorial staff is friendly and polite here. The care is as good as any hospital in Nashville from what I've seen. I have nothing but praise for this facility.

Patricia Roadarmel

Good place to work

Nadine Kling

Always helpful and kind I've been sick and they have always been wonderful to me

Terry Morley

I was just looking at the map to check traffic before going to pick up my prescription. Saw several negative reviews of what in my opinion is one of the best healthcare facilities I have been involved with. The staff at the Nashville VA are "serving" for the most part. Mostly they are disabled veterans themselves. They know the challenges, and they work hard to alleviate them wherever possible. I feel like they are generally paid less than their civilian counterparts. The staff has always been kind and curtious to me. I have a primary care physician. I have a sleep/nuerology team. I have a podiatrist. I also have a fantastic emergency room if I am in real pain. All of my healthcare people are available to me via email. They are very attentive. I have relationship there. I am not a stranger showing up unannounced with unreasonable expectations. I wish I could review these reviews and weight them according to the degree to which the patients ACTUALLY HAVE EXPERIENCE HERE. I am sad for the unpleasant experience some of you have had. It seems though, to me, that some of the unpleasant experience is because there had been no healthcare relationship leading up to a catastrophe. The VA healthcare system provides ongoing healthcare. Folks who see their primary physician regularly can preempt catastrophe with regular visits, like annually, or biannually, as needed. Private physicians and facilities provide more or less the same care. The difference is that when you see them without insurance and an appointment, you may find yourself homeless. Just my $0.02. Thank you for reading, Terry Morley.

Joe Diaz

Treated with respect due to a veteran..

trudy anderson

Don't ever leave a loved one in that hospital alone. My husband got horrible care there and I could say much more but I won't. He was just another Vietnam vet casualty

Donald Slicer

Mostly Great for Veterans!

Douglas Pearce

I was concerned when I was turned over to the VA for my health care. As a 100% disabled Veteran, I receive all my care through the VA. I'd heard the horror stories...I can say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of care I received and continue to receive here.

Phil Cook

Always takes care of the veterans as well as posssible. Staff is always helpful and kind. The quality of care here better then other va facilities and they always have plenty of parking.

Best VA Hospital in the nation!

William Dycus

The clean ER is well staffed by friendly knowledgeable staff.

Mark Cooper

This is NOT a good Veterans facility. It has a low score from the VA ombudsman for a reason, especially the emergency room. They assume everyone that walks through the door is an addict. The E.R. doctor., Dr. Andrew Neck is one of the worst doctors I have ever seen. He is aggressive, unprofessional and extraordinarily egotistical. He makes broad assumptions without even listening to the patient or looking at past medical history. And don't even bother going Andrew Richart the supposed "patient advocate" he is worthless and could not care less. This whole facility runs on the idea of watching each others backs before helping veterans. They will cancel your appointments or change them without notifying you and then just mark you as a "no-show". They will treat you like a burden and talk to you like your trash and then the admin ignores all complaints, if the complaints even make it to them. There are some good people here but they are few and far between. Most of the people at this location act like doing their job and taking care of veterans is a huge burden. They are rude, callous, and uncaring. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! I can't stress that enough.

Tim L'Huillier

Awesome! Staff are Great in the Chemotherapeutic Clinic!

Samuel Blumer

I am pretty satisfied with this VA hospital, staff is friendly trained and compitent. Parking is convenient in the attached parking garage. ER wait times are below the national average. I come here all the time for routine checkups and to fill perscriptions. Could use more smoking areas though

Lesa Prime

Prosthetics has very slow service! Wonder if they even care about the veterans health

Brent McClellan

They give Veterans excellent medical care via the staff from Vanderbilt University Hospital.

Donald Morse

What an amazing group of people!!! Thanks for all your hard work and kindness! I am very impressed! Been to many VA facilities. By far my best experience. You are a valued asset and greatly appreciated!

Joe Guion

I'LL GIVE THIS CENTER A 1. SPENT 3 HOURS TOTAL TRYING TO GET AN EYE EXAM. THEY SAID IT WOULD BE 7 TO 8 MONTHS TO GET EXAM. SOMEONE CANCELLED FOR THE NEXT DAY AND I TOOK THE APPOINTMENT. GOT MY GLASSES TODAY. (VERY QUICK) I CAN'T SEE OUT OT THE LEFT SIDE. THEY STILL DON'T ANSWER PHONE. HELP!!!

Jibber Jabber W/ JW

My father used to be happy with the prompt service and care the VA provided until approximately 6 months ago. It takes an act of Congress to simply get blood pressure medication. He may call in to speak to nurse and operator is required. Nurse takes (literally) 10 days to reply when he was suffering from intense vertigo. 10 days later - REALLY ? It's no wonder VA has such a bad reputation. M.A.G.A. ? How about the VA also ?!?

Thomas Bell

Always have taken great care of me

Ronald jacobs

There aren't words to describe how grateful I am to the VA Hospital in Nashville. Their kindness and their thoughtfulness is exceeded only by professionalism and friendly personalities. Truly, a God send for us Vets.

Shannon Hitchcock

wonderful Dr.'s. here! Dr. Seiber is great! the staff are awesome. Had my 2 best surgeries here and had No pain with either. HIGHLY recommend a nerve block if your surgery is on an extremity, especially!! (Stay away from Dr. Byron though)

Jennifer Restey

Long waits at reception and worse on the phone. Long waits for appts too.

Tim Turner

The staff is very helpful. You can always ask for assistance and get the help you need. Thank you, VA Nashville.

Ruppert Wahner

I always find that a positive attitude brings out the best in people. Everyone at the Nashville V.A.has a smile for you along with a professional demeanor that eases any misgivings I have. I actually have grown up with the Tennessee Valley Health Care, being that I am a second generation Veteran.

Toni Allinder

This place saved my life and kept me from going bankrupt despite having private insurance. They took my insurance and when the Bill's totaled over $85,000. They wrote off the rest and even gave me the money to drive home after my hospital stay.

George Porter

I have been in the Tennessee valley VA system about three years. My primary care is located at Clarksville Tn. clinic. They take care of my hearing and send me to the VA hospital in nashville and the dental clinic at Alvin York center for dental work. I have had heart operations, foot operations, skin operations, eye operations, lab tests, x-rays and many follow up visits as the personnel at VA hospital and Alvin York thought were needed. I have had only professional, friendly, caring treatment from the Tennessee Valley VA system and all in a timely manner as dictated be the condition being treated. All the people I have encountered have been wonderful, including the people in the halls who help direct traffic, the travel people, lab people, the ones who check us in at the various clinics....all make us feel needed and important. No one has been anything but very professional. I am not good with names but I want to say how good the dental people are, Dr. Thati, who used to be at Clarksville, Dr. Davies and Dr. Dewan also the heart team. All others who are so patient day after day with all the old broken complaining people. I would like to say however that, as I am sue you know, the Clarksville clinic is too small and the caregivers too overloaded. Thank you so much, George E. Porter USN EOC ret

I have an annual CT scan that has always been a “check the Block” activity. This year, my doctor found a new mass in my lungs. He rushed a new scan with contrast to ensure the mass was not a blood clot! With in one hour, he determined that it was inflammation from a cold that my have turned to a mild case of pneumonia. I’m thankful for my doctor and his concern for my health. Most people talk about the bad with the VA, but I think we need to recognize those who are shining stars in the VA system. Thanks Doc! Me and my family thank you for watching out for our Veterans. God Bless!

Raymond Osborne

I have always been treated fair

I've been trying for weeks to get an appointment for TBI which originally had to be rescheduled. Have left messages and have talked to other workers who simply couldn't help me only to redirect me to the same office which never answers and only has the voicemail. My first appointment was a horrible experience as I waited for over 2 hours past my scheduled time only to have the nurse make a comment telling me to "try to not be late next time" after I arrived 15 mins early. I cannot win with this place and still haven't been seen for what I need to be seen for. Vets deserve better than this!!!

russell johnson

Very helpful, somewhat fast service, glad it there for everyone that's served our country.

Charles Huff

Because I spent four days in here and they've been so good to me I couldn't have did it without thank you to the staff of the VA Medical Center in Nashville y'all Rock

I've never been seen at apt time.

Taneka Davis

My dad came into the ER for two reasons. The first reason he came was not ER related and was handled very well and efficient. However when he went to the ER things went down hill. He checked in and was told to have a seat and someone would be with him shortly. He waited 1 hour and was called back for his vitals and was asked what brought him in. When doing the vitals he didn't know his weight but was never offered to be weighed the lady just wrote in a weight. So he asked if he could use the scale and she agreed and got his correct weight. Then he was told to have a seat back in the waiting room and someone would call him back shortly. He sat down and waited for 3 hours before he was called back. Once he was called back another lady asked what brought him in today and wanted to take his vitals again! He explained that he already been through all of this and needs to be seen! So she told him to wait there and the doctor would be with him shortly. He waited for another hour! While waiting he heard the women that worked there talking about who's going to get lunch and what they were going to have for lunch. Also laughing about non work related things. So after that things got quite so he came out the room and everyone that worked there was nowhere to be found! So he walked down the hallway Abit and saw a lady who worked there sitting down on her phone. She looked up at him didn't say a word and then looked back at her phone. So he says DOES ANYANY WORK HERE?! So this guys comes around the corner and asks him how can I help you? So my dad tells him how long he has been waiting and no one has came to see him yet and he believes that they forgot about him. So the guys says sorry and they are understaffed. And says that he will go talk to the nurse now and had him go back to the room. So maybe 10 minutes later the guy comes back and says that my dad will have to wait more due to them being understaffed or he could give my dad some antibiotics to take with him. So my dad decided to take the antibiotics because due to the lengthy wait and frustration. So his issue was never resolved! Being a veteran my dad should have been treated way better by a VA hospital! And the same goes for any vet that comes here for help! He decided to go to a regular ER in Clarksville and was treated like a king! He was in and out in an hour and they even thanked him for his service! This ER could really take some pointers from Tennova in Clarksville!

Ej Miles

Hospital seems much better than the Lexington, KY VA, way more efficient but the ER told us that they’d call us back into the ER after the patient was settle & to wait in the ER waiting room until they called. But they didn’t, it’s really not a big deal to just tell someone that they’re not allowed back in the ER. Multiple people were told they would be called back but no one ever got to go.

Stephen K. Quinn

Excellent care.

Bryan Crowder

The lymphedema clinician does outstanding work. She is very nice and talks to you not at you. She explains everything you need to do between appointments in order to keep your swelling down. She takes the time to help you get your appointments figured out before you go to the scheduler inorder to get you out faster. With more people she will be able to open a clinic in the Murfreesboro VA

Ron Nociti

I received a letter denying healthcare benefits. The letter stated that a VA form 4107VHA was enclosed. No such form was enclosed. The letter also contained 2 phones numbers for the business office in case I had questions or needed additional information. I've called both numbers multiple times and the calls have not been answered by a representative or an answering machine. The failure to provide even minimal customer service is very concerning to me as a veteran. It was my understanding that they were working very hard to improve their performance. If this is an improvement, I'd hate to see what it was like before.

While moving a weight rack, I dropped three 10 pound weights on my toe. I called my local clinic in Clarksville, TN so I could I could speak to a nurse. She told me that the Nashville VA Healthcare System does not allow you to go to an outside medical facility unless it is a life threatening emergency. So, I have to drive an hour and a half to the Nashville VA Hospital with a broken toe. I move around a lot and just recently moved to the area. I never thought I'd experience a VA Healthcare region that cares so little for it's veterans. I can't help but wonder where what their doing with the funding. I guess I was spoiled by the Biloxi, MS VA region, the Tuscaloosa, AL healthcare region, and the Pittsburgh Healthcare region.

Zachary Jessica

The drive into Nashville is tedious and the facility is old.

Joe Hampton

Jus wonderful

Reverend GC Ramirez

Great service & respect for our Veterans! Proud to say it's our 1st and only choice for health care for my veteran.

Amber allen

I sat in the waiting room for 2 1/2 in pain with tears rolling down my face. When I asked the front desk clerk, who’s name was Russ if there anything I could get to help with the pain, he refused to acknowledge me and tell I got upset. Then told me to go set down or leave his ER. When I finally got called back the nurses were very rude. One of the nurses smelt of alcohol. When I try to report him to his supervisor they asked me to leave the ER. By far the worst VA ER I have ever been to.

Whitney Greer

We spent 12 hours in the emergency waiting room last month, during which time they told my husband he was likely in danger of immediate death from a thrown blood clot in his leg. In the end, he had a non-life-threatening gout flare-up. Today, I tried to call to reschedule an appointment and spent 40 minutes on hold before I hung up. The nurses and staff are FANTASTIC, but their hands are tied by red-tape administration. They can't help anyone near as well as they could if the VA system wasn't so corrupt and behind-the-times. This establishment is pure hell. Our vets deserve better.

Mark Shoopman

Great care, great price.

Keith Phillips

I would like to say a big thank you to the Eye Clinic staff and doctors. My wait time was reasonable, maybe 30 minutes at the most. I have some vision issues since a bout with Bell's Palsy 3 years ago, and experience double vision in both eyes, along with my left eye lid closing more than half, obstructing what little vision I have in that eye. I saw two doctors, one who was the supervisor. She thinks my double vision might be from dry eyes. They prescribed eye drops and ointment, and made me an appointment in February to see a specialist about lifting my eye lids. Not sure the dry eyes are the issue with the double vision, but I am going to do as they ask. Kudos to my local Nashville VA for a great experience. Can't wait until the Gallatin Clinic is open. I will utilize it for PCP and stop using my private doctor at Saint Thomas Medical Group on 20th Avenue.

Still waiting in the ED currently. Now coming up on 7 hours. We watched the waiting room not once, but twice now go completely empty and back to full.... when asked, they said “well your husband is young and healthy, so they are taking older folks back first and triaging that way”. I’m sorry a broken knee isn’t a good enough injury to be seen in a timely matter. I’m THRILLED to see a former corpsman with a now busted knee not being taken care of because “he’s young”. Jerks.

Came to the ER on July 3 2018 with numbness on my left side and not feeling well I told staff what had happen they took my blood pressure and sat me outside. Waited for 2.50 hours and spent my time watching a guys hand turn purple and black. I asked how much longer and was told to sit down. I called my wife at 15:00 to take me to a real ER so I could get treatment for my issue. We made it as far as corner stone church on Old Hickory and I had a full blown stroke in he church parking lot. My wife called 911 and I ended up at Sky Line thank GOD! I had a blood clot on the right side of my brain and I am luck to be alive... Now the pos va doesn't want to cover any my treatment and I am fighting that battle why I recover. I called and spoke to a gentle men named Russ 07/05/2018 (He wouldn't give his last name) He informed me they (ER at the VA) called me back at 1830. By that time I had already had a full stroke. I wouldn't take any one I cared about to that ER they are rude and no rush to help anyone. Luckily I got out of there and went to a better place and I am alive today because I made the right choice...

They are very competent in handling all their patients.

Charlene Davis

Because they take care of our vets

David Rogers

Great staff

Carrie Hawk

Such friendly and helpful staff. Good service all the time!

Standard military facility. If you've been in the military, you know exactly what I mean. No rush to help us veterans, they treat you like they are better than you are. Just your typical V.A. hospital

Blanche Spikes

I work here...Love the patients and alot of the staff. Then you have the good ole boy system in certain departs and others trying to hold you down or back.

Country Girl

The next appoint is in 60+ days. But the orthopedic doctor is not willing to approve out sourcing of the appointment. They do what they want. How they want. Who cares if the veteran is suffering. The VA supposedly has improved their service. I can’t see that at all for where we sit. 23 years of service. 100% disabled veteran. And then get treated like this, it’s a shame to say the least.

Michael Franks

Great place for VETS one of Better Facilities

John Wilson

Have always been treated with Outstanding care and professionalism

Matthew McLaughlin

Employees were very helpful and friendly, unlike what the media would have you believe

Crystal Lane

Appointments are easy to schedule without long wait times. The specialists are knowledgeable and caring. During admission everybody went above and beyond to make me comfortable despite my quirks and hangups. The facilities could use some updating but the quality of care given makes up for anything else lacking.

Roby Turpin

Plans changed but they still fit dad in.

Belinda Turner

I'm a Vet and it feels like home

Frannie Newsom

It seems as though it is not adequately staffed. They are not accomadating when it comes to inconviences that they cause you. I think the government should contract more things out to private hospitals and practices because this VA just can't handle it.

James Bennett

The staff great peoples that cares for us!!!

Matt Kristofferson

Absolutely no complaints.

Samuel F. Campbell

I understand they also have been involved with the "Strategic Analytics for Improvement and Learning, Value Model (SAIL)." Assisting in providing the high quality, saftey, and efficiency of the health care available at our VA MidSouth Healthcare Centers Network. ~ Samuel F Campbell

I’m new to a job with no benefits yet and came down with pneumonia. I’m so grateful that I was able to use the VA for treatment and care. I have never had a bad experience with the VA or its employees. EVERYONE is very caring and helpful!

When you finally got get service it's great. The travel office has been playing games however for at least 3 years, and apparently are still doing so. It was known that they were creating dummy telephone extensions and routing calls to them that we're never answered. That situation was reported to Marsha Blackburn's office but apparently they just don't care because three years later it's still occurring. Over two months to receive reimbursement for travel pay? Not a big deal if you're close by but when you are 2 hours away and have multiple appointments in a week it can be financially stressful. I'm grateful for the benefits that I have, however what is the delay? As I stated though, when you do get through the door they are very helpful. At least most of the staff are. I probably wouldn't seek mental health Care there. I'm a USAF Desert Storm/Shield Veteran.

I'm a veteran

Dean Roach

Years of great care, not one complaint

Paul Devera

The VA system is designed to get vets to kill themselves. If you are a vet and in need dont look into the Va. They will feed you pills and make you want to kill yourself. I'll probably be the next vet shooting himself at this place. They dont care or want to help. Vets are hopeless people just waiting for their spot in the suicidal pool. I think my number has been pulled.

Howard Duke

One of the best VA hospital I have been to. Great staff to work with. They listened to me and all of my symptoms to give me the best treatment.

Brandon Boone

Hands down best hospital experience

Audrey Hill

Poor layout, poor help, poor scheduling, traffic is awful all the time and frequent mistakes. Glad I am moving!

Katie Wile

My husband has never been to the VA in Nashville and I was able to schedule him an appointment at the International Plaza Dr. Clinic in 2 weeks. That was so much faster than I expected. He will be seeing a Dr. Chakravart.

Eleanor P

Most of the caregivers I encountered were friendly and helpful.

Terry McCullough

Why must you go 60 days to get reimbursed for travel pay. I live in Clarksville. Most speciality clinics are located at the Nashville, VA.
