This was our first child born at Centennial Womens. Honestly was significantly better experience than Vanderbilt. Staff was great all the way through. Nurses were awesome. Check in lady stayed with us even though she was done for the day. Very professional. Very clean. Would highly recommend to anyone.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I have never dealt with more rude, unprofessional women in my life. It took a week to get a prescription of mine sent it that they would only argue about saying they "definitely sent it in" but the pharmacy had nothing. I had to call multiple times for them to finally call and send in my medicine A WEEK LATER. In addition, getting hung up on. This place was awful

I had surgery here today! My nurses and the rest of staff that was with me was AMAZING! I wish I could remember their names! My preop who put my iv in, my anesthesia nurse and another very young lady that was there and my recovery nurse was so wonderful! They held conversations with me on whatever I wanted to talk about which made me feel more comfortable instead of strictly job! I told them before hand on me staying cold all the time. When I woke up in recovery I had not only one but TWO blankets doubled on me and she grabbed me another when I woke up because I was cold. They are so wonderful! Patient really comes first in their eyes! I thank you all!

I've been here to deliver the nurses are awesome. Friendly staff. Food isn't that bad to be honest. But way better than Vanderbilt.

Had my first baby here, the nurses were all so nice and caring. Susie was very comforting. They all helped me with breast feeding contantly and having lactation nurses come in to help me also. Ashley was very good, funny and helpful. Shanna was very comforting. They epidural wasn’t painful and she knew what she was doing, I think her name was Kristen. I’m sure I’m missing some others. They all were so helpful, knew what they were doing, and caring! When I left I felt like I was leaving family. The food was good too! Clean and professional place too!

I delivered my third child at centennial and had an amazing experience. Also had to visit the women’s triage 1 week after delivery because of postpartum issues. Wonderful staff! Thanks for getting me back to normal.

I wanted to write this review about my labor and deliver experience that I had. I went in on 7/7/2019 to be induced. I was quickly escorted to my room, there wasn't a long check in wait which is good. After arriving in my room, my nurse name Brittany was amazing. She was very informative, nice, and comforting. I was induced at 7 am and delivered at 6:49 pm. My doctor, Dr. Yu is amazing as well. I've been going to her for about 13 years. The things that I wasn't happy about is the nurse who took over name Megan, she was very rough when handling my daughter. From the wiping her with the blanket to the rubbing the eye medicine in. It was very rough! After being moved to another room and being there a few hours, the nurse was supposed to bring the baby back in 3 hours to be nursed. I woke up 3 hours later waiting. After 30 mins had passed I walked to the nursery around 12:30 am. There was 2 nurses in the nursery as I stood there for about 10 mins without being acknowledged (they saw me but never asked if I needed something). The nurse walked out right past me. I said excuse me I'm here to get my baby. In a very nonchalant way she asked my info and gave me the baby. My concern is, is this how they treat patients/parents standing there waiting to get their baby? I went back to my room waiting for my nurse to come to ask if the baby had been nursed already. Another hour had passed then I pressed the button. She gave an excuse as to why she was extremely late. So my other concern is, if I hadn't have awaken, when would my newborn daughter been fed? Last but not least, my last nurse on my last day was terrible. Her name was Nathanian. She never once asked me was I in pain like the other nurses. I don't want to go into all of the details but please talk to these nurses about these concerns for future patients. Lastly, there was so many people in and out of my room which is understandable. But they would knock once and walk right in. I had 2 maintenance male visitors come and walk right in after one knock. The birth certificate lady walked right in while I was on the toilet. There need to be more privacy especially in these situations.

This hospital ran tests on my dad and found cancer but didn't let him or his Dr know it until a year later. That was a very cruel and indecent way to treat a human life

If you are knowingly facing a NICU stay after your delivery, you might want to go elsewhere! I feel like my son has received decent care during his 4.5 week to date care however I feel they do a HORRIBLE job with keeping me informed of the long term plan! When I asked the Dr. his answer was "It's a long journey" which isn't telling me anything! I will NEVER come to this hospital to deliver a child again!

I had surgery here almost a year ago and everyone I encountered took very good care of me. It was my first surgery ever. I was nervous and crying (code for annoying lol) most of the time but everyone put up with me in such a professional and caring way.

I had my 3rd child here and I wasn’t very satisfied with this hospital, I was having a scheduled c section. The first room we were put into had dried blood on the floor and all over the side of the toilet seat, very unsanitary for someone who’s going to have a newborn baby. Then the nurse who attempted to do my iv dug around in both wrists, couldn’t get one in my right wrist so she attempted in my left wrist finally got a vein and blew my vein. She had someone else come in and that nurse got it right away with no problem. The first nurse who attempted my iv was a little bit unprofessional with her attitude, come to find out from another nurse that she wasn’t usually apart of labor and delivery. GO FIGURE. All the people who were in the operating room while getting my c section, very professional kind and caring. They were very attentive in asking me questions on how I was doing and feeling. I loved the nurse especially, very sweet! Fast forward to my actual room now, the lactation nurse Martha was HORRIBLE! Treated me as if I was incompetent to breastfeeding when this was my 3rd child. Very unprofessional. My nurses were great, especially Kayla my night time nurse. Dr. Collier the pediatrician was great too, very friendly and answered all of my questions about my newborn son. The hospital itself is a little outdated, definitely needs a bigger area for the support person to go and get refreshments. I wish I would’ve had a better experience than I did, it’s not the absolute worst hospital but not best for sure.

My husband and I call this place the tristar continental bed and breakfast. The nurses are very sweet and responsive. It took me ordering my 3rd meal before I even realized that I had a phone in the room and was able to call for room service myself but the nurses never seemed to mind taking my order or caring for me, even though I felt as though I was a very needy patient. They all, including the doctors, seem to have all the time in the world to help you and answer your questions. Everytime they come in, they asked what they can get for me and sometimes offer recommendations as what I could get. The only thing I would fix is the food service. Every time I called, I had to leave a voicemail with my name, room number, and order and so I was never given a time to expect my food or any response regarding my food. My order would be wrong in some ways, and when I would call and ask for a call back I would not get one.

I had my 5th child here, the other 4 births were at Saint Thomas "Loved it" this pregnancy my Doctor made me a induction apt. At centennial, they claimed Saint Thomas did not have any openings for the day I needed to be induced. I was disappointed because I wanted to go to Saint Thomas because it looks great in there and all my other kids were born there, everyone in my family was born there just about. Centennial had nice nurses and the epidural procedure went well. When I first came into the room I was shocked because it was no where near Saint Thomas birthing rooms, the deliver bed was very small, the couch that your company sit on was old looking it was a bedroom dresser in their it was very disappointed it was outdated. It took them a while to get my room together so I waited all night and finally when it was time they told me that all the postpartum rooms were full and I had to go in the 6th floor because there were no more rooms

It took 5 hours for this hospital to clean blood all over the floor. My sister went into labor at 5:36am. I got there around 10:00am. She had asked twice prior to me coming for her room to be cleaned. After taking pictures I went to speak to the charge nures. I asked why my sister's room had not been cleaned yet. She said someone will be there. I finally pressured her in to letting my sister changed rooms. (She was very rude) I walked my sister outside and came back in about 10 minutes later and the room was clean and we didn't get to move. What frustrates me the most is that they didn't follow regulations. Exposing blood like it's not a big deal. Yes it's my sister but what if this person wasn't and had HIV, OR HEP B, C. Your hospital could of put alot of people in danger for exposure. I can't believe how unprofessional and unsanitary your facility is. It's actually pathetic.

Lori Moore

Wow! Are they even certified at all...???? Rude, unprofessional and unsanitary. The DR's' that are independent are more like mob bosses than health care professionals.

Rachel Cornelius

I hate hospitals and doctors, but Centennial Women's is amazing! Everyone here is incredibly nice and caring. Every single staff member I met was extremely nice, welcoming, warm, and professional. They all went above and beyond personally and professionally. The hospital itself is clean, modern, and homey. There was plenty of free parking. Even though I was there for some minor surgery, I really enjoyed my overall experience. If I ever need hospital services in the future, I will definitely choose this one!

My brother was treated here from 2016-2018 when he passed away at this hospital, his bond with the nurses & doctors was amazing, he loved everyone there. Although they couldn’t save his life, they made it a little bit better for him. I also, delivered my son here two weeks ago (jan 21st) & the staff was amazing. everyone was so kind, and the food was great. they took great care of me, and my son. I’m happy with my choice at centennial.

Centennial has been so kind to my child and professional in their services. A great change from Vanderbilt.

Just had surgery there just the weekend. I've been in multiple hospitals over the years but centennial women's and children's was by far the best. I had Emily and Morgan as my nurses and they were both so great. I never had to call because I wanted something (only for help to the bathroom), they checked on my constantly. When I did ask for something it was brought quickly. They were both so sweet and polite. Also the food is way better than typical hospital food. I even got to pick what I wanted. Usually in hospitals they bring you flavorless junk. I live 2 hours away from Nashville but if I ever needed to be hospitalized again I would much rather be here! Thank you to the entire staff for a wonderful experience!

My wife and I have come to the emergency room 3 times in 2 weeks because she keeps going into labor. They stop it or rush to say she is dehydrated and pump her with fluids. And send us home.

T'Angela Hemphill

Nurses were awesome, they provided everything you needed.

Nancy Dickson

Great staff. Very helpful during delivery, lactation education and the entire pregnancy experience. Would highly recommend to anyone when to Vanderbilt or St. Thomas.

i was recently in nashville with my husband and baby on business. while visiting, i developed pains in my calf. at four weeks post partum and a history of blood clots, i made a call to my physicians who instructed me to get to a hospital immediately for a doppler on my leg. i found myself at centennial women's and children's hospital ER. there was no wait time and i was seen immediately. the nursing student who took vitals and medical info was so kind. she even brought me a snack while i was waiting for my test results. it's no fun to find yourself in an emergency room while out of town but the doctors and nurses were great and thankfully delivered favorable results!

If I could give this place a LOWER RATING I would ! Let's start off with my aunt went in for a procedure that was supposed to be done at 12:30 she waited 3 HOURS before they got to her plus she had to be there at 9:30 so basically waited 6 hours not to mention she didn't any food/drink the night before! After all the waiting my aunt was happy to be out of there then realized the dr forgot to give her the perceptions he wrote her! I'm sorry but this is absolutely unacceptable! I hope my aunt NEVER goes back!

I had my last child there n as soon as I came into the door my water broke n from then on I had nothing but great service. All the staff was there to help me through my labor whether it was the breathing through my contractions or asking questions to better help me. They waited till my contractions was over b4 asking me anything so I could focus on what they needed to ask. They guided me through my pushing without any tearing or stitches n let me hold n bond with my baby right after. A nurse even gave me something to snack on after delivery after hours. The nurses n staff was polite n the environment was very clean n neat.I plan to have this child there in 11 more weeks.

We decided to have our third child here because we had such a great experience with our 2nd one 4 here 4 years ago. This time was completely different, it was terrible and my worst labor. I gave them two stars because my recovery nurses were amazing and my second nurse during labor was also great. Both my first two labors went smoothly got an epidural no problem. This time he didnt do my epidural right he had to numb me twice and was back there trying to get it for a long time and it hurt, it didnt take right bc I felt way more than I shouldve on my first two kids i could barely feel anything. Well when he did my epidural he caused a puncture and my cerebral spinal fluid leaked causin me to have a spinal headache. Worst pain ive ever had. I kept saying my head and neck are killing me somethings not right, they kept bringing in the anesthesia ppl clearing me saying it wasnt from the epidural. Went home in so much pain crying had to stay in bed for 2 days couldnt do anything for our children bc i was hurting so bad my neck felt paralied and my head felt like it was going to explode i had to lay in bed without moving really until i went back to the hospital were they said i got anspinal headache from the epidural. Had to have another epidural which they did a blood patch and it was better. I told them they screwed me up and they wouldnt listen which caused me soooo much pain and missing out on being with my kids bc i had to stay in bed. It was terrible. If you go here dont get an epidural. The 2nd one they couldnt get and had to have another person do it after she tried, like my spinal area needs to be messes around in
