I would like to commend Dr. Christine for her professionalism and compassion during a difficult experience. We recently had an aged horse down on the ice. Under Dr. Christine's care and direction we were able to rescue the horse after 4 hours of hard work. Despite all that had to be done to upright him, Tweety came through remarkably unscathed. Thank you, Dr. Christine, for your knowledge, dedication, and patience with the humans! :-)

I recently called to schedule an appointment for my horse who was experiencing respiratory issues. The front desk was very nice and accommodating and got him in at the time and day I requested. Dr. Christine did a thorough and focused physical exam and some minimally invasive tests including an upper airway endoscopy. She was quickly and accurately able to diagnose his chronic cough and initiated therapy after taking time to educate me about the causes. My horse is already feeling so much better! The veterinary intern Dr. Tim helped unload and load my horses in a friendly and engaging manner. From start to finish (front desk, veterinarian, technician, intern) I found TEH to be kind, thorough, professional, and knowledgeable. I am glad I chose to bring my horse here and trust them implicitly with his care. He is my big sweet boy and family to me. Thank you TEH!

TN Equine Hospital has the best vets. Caring and knowledgeable, they are also teachers, willing to explain and discuss care without making me feel dumb. They have taken care of my small herd of horses for over 12 years and have saved the life of one of my horses. They have great facilities. You can either haul to the clinic or they will come out for a farm call. I trust them with some of the most important parts of my life and they never disappoint.

I have used Tn Equine Hospital for both serious medical challenges and routinely for stallion semen analysis and collection. I would highly recommend this professional, caring team for your equine needs.

Just Gave Gun his last two shots, he did great! He is feeling so much better, thanks to Matthew and Janelle's wonderful care he received while at TEH. See you soon, when I bring Gun in for his follow up visit!

Special thank you to Dr. Nathaniel and Sandy for their compassionate care and kindness of my horse, Max. I’m very blessed to have had their care during a difficult time of saying goodbye to my horse. Dr. Nathaniel handles animals with such care and I’m very appreciative of that. Sandy is very prompt and considerate. Thank you so much for your professionalism, care, and big hearts.

I was referred to Tennessee Equine Hospital on Thursday 1-15-15 for a possible broken hind leg. I was told they would be out sat. to do x-rays. I explained that I was at least 1 hour 30 min. away and all my info was taken. When asked if I could bring him to them, I explained that could not load. I was assured that they could come out sat. On Sat I phoned them to see if they could give me time they would arrive. I was then told that they was not going to be able to come out, it was just to far to come. I then called another vet to come out to x-ray and was then told the tibia was completely into and pressing to the inside of the leg. The decision was then made to euthanize my horse. As a nurse this is unacceptable. If I had been told on Thursday that they was not coming out I could have saved my horse from unnecessary pain. I believe when you say you will do something, you do it. I guess that you have to live within walking distance.....

Excellent experience. We brought my horse in for an impaction colic that was quickly progressing to him being extremely wobbly and unable to stand for even a second without going down. We were greeted, 9:30 at night, by Dr. Kelly and four techs. Even though we came in for colic, she immediately did a quick neurological/coordination test as well. She explained every step of the process -- from what was showing up on the ultrasound, what was normal/abnormal about his blood levels (these were taken immediately and were very helpful to have on hand), what she was looking for during each procedure, and why she used the approaches she did. All of the techs were helpful and super nice. We left just before midnight and left the horse there. I was most impressed with the fact that they checked on him and the other horses hourly and wrote a brief synopsis each hour (TRP, resting state, etc.); one of the techs showed me his hourly log before we left. They were able to see that he started going downhill about 3 in the morning, which is something I feel may have been life-saving if he had been at a facility without this level of care. We weren't able to come pick him up until after 8 the next night, which was perfectly fine with them -- the techs live above the stables. They hand-grazed him for about ten minutes every hour until we arrived. Dr. Kelly provided me with follow-up directions about re-introducing him to hay and grain, and also called me the next day to check in and answer a few questions. This was my first experience with Tennessee Equine, but I was highly impressed. Everything was very professional but not at all impersonal -- something that sometimes comes hand-in-hand with a facility of this size and caliber. I have recommended them to everyone who has asked, and have been met also with stories of only good experiences from people who have also been there. I get the impression that this is a facility that understands our horses are not only athletes but are also family. I genuinely feel that this is the most thorough, professional, and well-staffed equine hospital in middle Tennessee.

Absolutely the best Equine veterinary doctors you can find in the area!

We had to call someone out at 10:30PM on a Friday night because our horse choked. I can't remember the vet's name who came out but he was so nice and super efficient! We were extremely pleased with the service and even more excited that the bill was so reasonable. It was cheaper than the time we had to take the same horse in to a different clinic for the same problem on a week day. Can't say enough good things here!

My horse is dead because they talked me into having an unnecessary elective surgery; they assured me there was no risk to my horse unless I decided to jump her. My horse could have been sound with correct trimming and shoeing. Instead, she is dead due to the vet cutting too much of her nerve, which resulted in her not being able to feel anything in one leg and as a result she broke her leg almost immediately after surgery while she was recovering in her stall. They also charged me more for the surgery than they quoted and charged me more to have her euthanized than the initial quote. To add insult to injury, the vet never showed an ounce of remorse or sent any type of condolence.
