This was the worst experience I've ever had. I went to the ER at 9:45 that morning and was taken back to a room at about 11:30 or so. Everything started out well and the nurses were very nice. I had a really bad stomach virus and was very dehydrated. They gave me a CT scan and and ultrasound to check and see if I was having gallbladder or appendix issues. After 9 hours of sitting in an ER room I finally saw my "doctor" who was just a nurse practitioner, who told me all my tests turned out fine and that I just had a stomach bug, but my blood pressure was a little low, (still in normal range it was 105/68), so she was going to admit me. Me, whom is usually a very calm understanding person, got extremely angry because not only had I been waiting 9 hours for 2 measly tests but I was being told I was GOING to be admitted by my "doctor" that I had only seen for a total of 30 seconds. I told her I was NOT staying another moment but then I was informed that if I signed out against doctors wishes that my insurance wouldn't cover the visit. So I asked her that if I was indeed dehydrated why I couldn't hydrate myself at home. To which she replied, yeah sure you could do it at home but it wouldn't work as fast So she wasn't going to sign for me to leave. So I was basically forced to stay against my will because I couldn't afford to pay a hospital bill. The care up stairs was very nice by the nurses once again, but by the time I was allowed to leave the next day at about 2 pm, they had given me 6 bags of iv fluid and my blood pressure still was the exact same and I literally was so over hydrated I tried to get up out of my bed after sleeping twice, and both times literally peed all over myself because I was so OVER hydrated and my body couldn't hold it in anymore. My blood pressure was obviously fine 105/68 is actually a great blood pressure but it was slightly below my normal which no one stopped to think about how it was maybe because I was sick and had been in bed all day. I will never go back to this hospital ever. If I had had a serious condtion it might have died because someone was so concerned about a 10 point difference in blood pressure. My time was completely wasted and the care by the ER nurse practitioner was unacceptable. I am in college to go into the medical field and this so so below standard of care.

My step daughter was in CCU for a few days because of a very sensitive issue. The nurse Jean that she's had on day shift the last 2 days is terrible. Our family had to speak with the charge nurse about switching nurses after my child on a ventilator vommitted on herself nurse Jean did not try to clean her up, left her sitting in her vomit stating "it happens". The first thing my daughter wrote on paper when she woke up was that her nurse is so rude to her. Her heart rate jumped sky high every time that woman walked in the room. This is after she was rude to our family in the room and to me on the phone. Needless to say they didn't change nurses, or speak to her about her attitude, she was rude on the phone again when I called today. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately for them, I am in Texas so there's not much I could do from here. The nursing staff is my only way of checking on my child, they are my lifeline to her. I am a nurse myself and understand the struggles of patient care and family dynamics. But there's no excuse for this behavior, and shame on the charge for not recognizing and not doing something about it when it was brought to her attention. I'm not happy at all do not send your loved ones here.

We had a wonderful experience at the ER and ICU. My mother had a true life threatening matter with a blood clot in her lung, Summit Hospital in Nashville sent her by Ambulance to see a Pulmonary Specialist, Dr. Guice. We simply can not say enough good things about our total experience. My mother was kept there for 5 days and was cared for in every way. A big Thank You to Dr. Guice, Kimberly, the ICU staff and all the staff on the 3rd floor, we can never thank them enough. 2 days after she was discharged, we are still being helped by phone from Dr. Guice and Kimberly.

I was recently billed almost $900 plus a separate radiology bill for a 20-minute routine ultrasound. My last one a few months earlier at another facility was less than $200 total. My doctor’s office reccomended I ask them to switch me to cash billing, since we have a high deductible insurance plan. When I asked, they said no.

Dank Jalapeñobusiness

This place can either be a joke, or a life saver, but having to gamble on someone's well being is a very hard decision to make. Don't let billing push you around too much and you'll be ok. 3 stars.

Kim Tank

Good, fast health-care

Jamie Willis

This place is a joke 8:00apponitmet and still sitting two hour later and staff are mean and ugly not nice at all next time I'll go on up the rode

Scott Hutter

Slow. For an emergency room, there is absolutely no sense of urgency (except the urgency of getting your insurance info..they trip over themselves to get that done) Go elsewhere if you're actually dying.

Jenny Sierra

This hospital is a joke!! Don’t trust them with anything!!

My youngest was born there and my oldest was seen my thier speech. Starting with the birth of my youngest car over all was ok if u dont count the fact they forgot that my wife was still a pt there two days in a row and forgot to care for her or even feed her thank goodness i was there to call them out one it not once but twice. The speech part was great but the billing department is the worst they will try to bill u more then what u owe and they dont know how most ins works it seem if u get any bill from them call and check ur ins before u thank about paying if they can they will bill u and try to get one over on you it was so bad my ins has a tab on them every time i call horrable

My adolescent child was brought in for a drug overdose. We sat in a room for 20 hours. They drew labs but could never seem to find the results. MASSIVE inexcusable miscommunication between this horrifying facility to another facility. During a 12 hour period, my son had 7 nurses! Yet I was never told who his nurse was. Dr who was 12 and new, came in one time during triage. I'm a nurse myself of 30 years. I know the system. At one point my son was the only patient there. Nobody came in, introduced themselves or ever asked if we were OK. Nurses attitude and quality of case were deplorable! They need to be reminded, if you're going to service your community in such a small town, word spreads quickly. I'm spreading that word. The hospital is filthy dirty. Jails I've worked are cleaner. If you love yourself and family, drive the extra distance north to Williamson or Nashville. Go to this dump, your loved one will end up dead. I've noticed in other reviews similar complaints. Nursing care is below standard. Everyone plays on their phone, waited two hours for crackers for my son being told a dinner tray was ordered. 4 hours later he got a soggy something. I've also noticed the "responses" other reviews have gotten are only to those who, for some miraculous reason, didn't review anything negative. How about responding and acknowledging those who received substandard care?

May 9 2018 My daughter came in sent by her Dr. In a lot of pain. Dr said it was a kidney stone and from the bleading yes bleading it was obstructing something and she needed to be seen and have a CT scan ASAP. WE SIT IN ER. 2 and A HALF HOURS NO ONE CAME OUT TO CHECK ON HER I WENT UP AND ASK COULD SOMEONE GIVE HER SOMETHING FOR PAIN. THEY TOLD ME NO NOT UNTIL SHE SEEN A DR. I TOLD THEM THATS WHAT WE HAD BEEN TRYING TO DO FOR ALMOST 3 HOURS. THE GIRL AT THE DESK WAS SMART WITH ME VERY DISRESPECTFUL. WE LEFT THERE AND WENT TO Spring Hill. This place needs All new people. People that actualy care about someone.

Brad Sherp

The physicians are excellent, but the hospital employees are not good at what they do. The care is sub-standard. The business office is incompetent. Do yourself a favor, and go a different hospital.

Erika Martin

Have a friend there, getting great care. Staff is friendly and professional.

i was admitted at least 15 times within about 5 or 6 months, and not only did they help me get the meds i needed , they also made sure i was getting good care and treated me very well with each stay. Dr's, nurses and staff were awesome.

My mother arrived by ambulance. She was greeted by the staff and doctors with excellent care the night she came in as was I. We are still receiving the best care I have ever experienced anywhere in the country. A very professional yet personable experience thus far this week! Even under the hardest circumstances we've faced this week, at least we feel well taken care of and we are absolutely positive our mother is in great hands at Maury Regional Hospital. ❤️

Don’t have an emergency on 3rd shift. I wonder if the nurses care about helping their patients after the lack of concern and help with my 1 year old son, who woke up choking on his vomit in his sleep. We’ve spent 2 and a 1/2 hrs without anyone even checking on us. Since the shift change we haven’t even met our new nurse. Im highly disappointed at the time we’ve had to spend here, i do not look forward to our next emergency, may be better to go to tri star in Spring Hill. I’m livid

Katrina Otey

Had surgery and volunteer there. Had and have wonderful experience as patient and provider! The nurses and doctors and other staff were helpful and kind. Even the Directors of the volunteer department came to visit while I was in the hospital room. Felt loved and appreciated. Countless cards and kind words were sent my way. Thank you MRMC!

I am typing this as I sit in an ER room with my wife. 3 minutes ago was the 5 hour mark from our arrival. She came by ambulance for a seizure that stopped her breathing twice. She returned to normal before the ambulance left our house, but we still wanted to see a doctor since this was unusual (no history of seizures). We are waiting (>2hours) for a neurologist to call over a webcam since they don't have one available in person. There are very few patients currently, and the staff have been socializing amongst themselves for the entire time, not medical related. We are getting no updates or being checked up on hardly at all. My entire family has had negative experiences with this place. I personally recommend Tri Star, as we have had overall better experiences. The staff seem nice in general, but that carries no weight over the amount of pointless waiting we have done. Go somewhere else unless you are literally dying fast and nowhere else is closer.

Whenever I had to take either one of my parents to the ER they are kind and helpful. I do not have a medical background, but I do trust the information they give us.

Pamela Smith

First doctor and nurses I had was great. Had to stay over for observation. Major headache couldn't sleep told both the nurse and tech 5 hrs later still nothing. Really can't wait for them to let me go home. Would only recommend if test or procedures are out patient.

Slow is not strong enough. Snail. Except insurance. Blazing fast to collect that. Half people could go over to urgent care. They need a better triage and go to urgent care unless sent here or bleeding out. Sadly if that is case you will be gone before you see a doctor. Saw the doctor at urgent Care on under 10 min from walking in door. Going on 40 min and saw a nurse for vitals and of course insurance and paid copay.

Mike Johnson

I would think that the administration of this hospital would heed all of these negative reviews. I had a similar experience as others where the staff is rude...if anywhere workers should be kind, you would think it would be the hospital. The Critical Decision Unit is a mixed bag. Dr. McMurry was great but the nurses and support staff are just plain rude. I just can’t figire out why. My wife is a nurse and just couldn’t understand either. Linda was expcially rude and none of them act like they want to be there.

Brandon Myles

Worst ER in the state. If you have an emergency please just do yourself a favor and drive the extra miles up the road to Franklin.

Kim Taylor

I had to go to the emergency room on February 28. I thought my wait was a little too long, but once I was moved to the back, I could not have asked for better care. My nurse was Eddie, and he was great! I can't remember my tech's name (Holly??), but she was really sweet. I appreciate how quickly the staff worked to diagnose my condition and make sure that I was comfortable. Biggest complaint has nothing to do with the quality of care: My bill was outrageous!!! I am thankful that I have decent insurance.

Poor quality of care from a staff of inexperienced health professionals. Pricing is outrageous for the quality of care Maury Regional provides. Will certainly go north to Williamson or Davidson Counties next time I am need of healthcare.

If I could give a -10 I would. I went to the ER after having dental work done and after a month, pain is unbearable and dentist continues to say that it is normal. I told them I felt like my jaw was broken or severely infected and told them I was dizzy and felt as though I was going to pass out. I was led to a room without a bed, it had a gynecology bed in it and it had blood all over it. Finally an NP came in with an attitude, I had to go through the same story for the 4th time and me in pain, after digging around in my mouth and me in severe pain, she tells me, “we’re not dentists, we don’t do anything involving teeth”. I told her I wasn’t there about my teeth, I was there about the jaw! I told her I needed to know if my jaw was broken or if I had an infection. She said, “I repeat, we’re not dentists”. I pointed out the blood on the chair they expected me to sit on and her reply was, “I’m not involved in housekeeping but her or the nurse either made an offer to contact housekeeping. I told her I wasn’t surprised at the nastiness after my husband spent 7 days there and his room was cleaned once and I walked out before I caught something. Stay away from this place!!

From the minute we walked into the ER with my grandmother to the many days she stayed in the hospital days after, the staff and doctors have all been top notch and beyond helpful. Everyone has been so kind and taken care of my grandmother very well. Very pleased with this hospital.

Took almost 2 hours before I was seen for a deep laceration on my hand. Noone even took a look at it. Hope others had a better experience.

Imaging at Maury Regional broke the Principles of Biomedical ethics which "require that doctors respect their patients’ autonomy and apply the principles of beneficence, nonmaleficence and fairness or justice." Anecdotally, I came to this hospital for routine checkup on my childhood cancer. Their Imaging personnel told me the cost would be (a) and that no other fees would apply. I asked specifically about it and saw no signed documentation to the contrary. I paid the up front fee and what would come as a bill for the operation afterwards. Later I received an additional (b) "Doctor" fee that was more than the total of the original co pays (a). I had no knowledge of this additional fee before imaging. This is, in my opinion malpractice. I did not pay the additional fee as it was unethical, and they sent it to collections. Collecting on someone who is trying to stay healthy having survived cancer. That is all.

Emergency room staff has been wonderful the two times I have been there. However, we were told the stitches I had received could be removed without charge at the emergency room. We were later charged for a separate visit. The billing department at this hospital is deplorable. I also have had the "opportunity" to talk with their HR department. They are rudeness exemplified. They were the final reason I chose to start using Spring Hill Hospital. They have a full service Emergency Room, a kind staff, and none of the incompetence or rudeness of Maury Regoional.

Michael Terry

I had surgery there last month and was admitted for a couple of days. From the time I entered until the time I left, everyone was attentive, courteous, friendly, and professional. If I needed or wanted anything, I received it in a timely manner. Hospitals serve different needs and depending on the need the experience is going to be different. Each time I have been here it has been a satisfactory experience. I highly recommend this hospital and all of it's staff.

I am pregnant. Voiced that I was having difficulty breathing. Triage nurse treated me like an idiot. No sense of urgency or care at all. Had an attitude and smirked when she told me id have to wait in the waiting room. After 2 hours of sitting in the waiting room with my lungs wheezing so loud they could hear it. I got up and left. This place is a complete joke.

The staff were absolute angels. They were very kind & compassionate when I was called upon to Identify the body of someone very special & dear to me, my BEST FRIEND, who was like a Big Brother. They done a wonderful job of preparing him to be viewed/identified after a horrible Motorcycle accident. They allowed me to spend all the time I needed with him to say my goodbye.

I came in on Tuesday Jan,29/2019 with shoulder pain to the er they took some xrays and the “doctor’ came he asked me to move my arm up and down I have had extreme pain sence Saturday after all that he told me I had nothing but never asked more questions after hurting for another two days finally went to the health department the doctor said it’s shingles !!! The er doctor seemed cocky and arrogant I have shingles I will do my best to never go to this hospital again I was treated like poorly never even offered something for the pain he told me to keep taking ibuprofen wow if he knew the pain I really was in do not suggest it go to health department older doctor with tons of experience this guy from er spent to many years becoming a doctor to not even know how to consult properly That in itself said a lot!! Called that number never got a call back!

Andrea Helmick

My mother came into their sorry excuse of an er. She is recovering from a heart attack. She was short of breath. They never gave her oxygen. All the nurses were concerned about was insurance. The staff was loud and laughing all up and down the hallway. Sounded like they were having a party. They left my Mom lying in the er all night. The next morning they told her she had to leave. One rude nurse even told her she would call a taxi and send her on if someone didn't come pick her up soon!!! She was still sick. She felt no better than when she came in. I guess they got their money so they didn't care. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone.

Nurses here are excellent.

First time ever having a child out of state. Im from Michigan and the health care there is awesome so i know what to expect from doctors and nurses. Well i delivered a child on 8/28/18 at maury regional and the nurse and doctor staff is not what i expected. They are not attentive to you or the newborn. Even after a c section. My nurse staff only came in every 2 1/2 -3 hours to check on me and baby. After my c section i had to wait 24 hrs to showers of course. After me doing that i waited 7 hours for a nurse to ask me did i remove the dressing and to check my steri-strips for the sight. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. I think of it as a long stay urgent care. I really dislike that i feel this way about a place where is supposed to help and take care of you. Sad situation. They are only here for a check.

Erik meyers

I was recently at this so called hospital for breathing and feeling of passing out 3 separate visits to the emergency room. They didn't make simple checks first and wanted to stick an iv in my arm took blood all three trips didn't find anything. The last trip they took an x-ray of my chest nothing. Moved out of state because i could no longer afford to live on my own my dad took me to a clinic in Missouri come to find out with a stethoscope as well as my dad experiencing me about passing out they found fluid in my lungs leading to if let go would have led bacterial pneumonia. They gave me a nebuilizer on the spot to start and bought one and some antibiotics and a shot to kick me back to where i need to go. NO thanks to this hospital these guys must have GED"s i missed work and the cost of the trips of wasted money do not come here they do not fix your problems just take the money and insurance. I had a previous trip 2 months ago was not ever alerted of a bill never admitted to the back over me being stupid and energy drinks said i wouldn't have to pay and i asked about insurance i have to pay said no need got a bill $264 dollars out of no where just found this out lucky to have anything left from moving paid it not to my insurance becuase it could have turned to the deductible and thats worse... SO BEWARE

The BoR

I'd like to preface this by saying I really dislike leaving negative reviews of places. I'm only posting this because I think it's important that people know about my experience. I was born with a bicuspid aortic valve, which eventually resulted in aortic stenosis. Additionally, until august 19th, I was pregnant (yes my name is really John no I am not male). In my second trimester it was determined by my cardiologist that my aortic stenosis had become extremely severe. The night of August 10th, I began to experience decently strong chest pains and tightness, as well as some difficulty breathing. I went to the Maury Regional ER and said, verbatim, "I am 32 weeks pregnant, I have severe aortic stenosis, and I am experiencing chest pain." I was admitted with no sense of urgency. They did an EKG, blood work, and a CT scan (during which I nearly fainted within a minute of having to lay flat) but didn't find anything in particular. They came to the conclusion that my symptoms were regular pregnancy symptoms and sent me home after a roughly 3 hour visit with instructions to follow up with my OB. The diagnoses on my discharge papers were dyspnea (difficulty breathing) and pregnancy. I contacted my Vanderbilt cardiologist and let her know what happened, and she wanted to see me ASAP. By that Thursday, my symptoms had gotten progressively worse. Standing for more than a few minutes gave me chest tightness and mild pain, and I couldn't do anything close to exerting myself. When I talked to my cardiologist about it, she was alarmed that I had been sent home, and immediately sent me to the main Vanderbilt campus. Ultimately it was determined I needed a c-section as quickly as possible, that my symptoms were extremely troubling, and that there was a risk of death or emergency heart surgery with the procedure. I had my c-section on the 19th with not only the normal delivery team and anesthesiologists, but also a cardiology team on standby. Luckily it went well, but I also had to have a balloon valvuloplasty done slightly over a week later and spent a total of almost two weeks in the hospital overall. Had I trusted the emergency room staff and written off my symptoms as being pregnancy related, I likely would have been in an even riskier situation, if not possibly dead. I know that I'm young and tend to mask pain well, but not being taken seriously at this hospital could have cost me my life. I'm sure Maury Regional is capable of handling more minor cases, but if you think something may be seriously wrong, I'd recommend going elsewhere.

Brenda Bakalar

Seems to care less about patients. Took almost 40 minutes to get someone in my husbands room. When I walked down to nursing station they were gossiping about another person.

Gene Graham

This place has no consideration for visitors to the ICU. They don't allow visitors from 6:30 to 9:30AM and from 6:30 to 8:30 PM which is basically the prime time anyone with a job can visit. I can find no information about this on the website. It's just a redneck place

Caitlyn Slater

No one showed an concern that my daughter that is 2 has had strep and staff infection in her throat for going on 3 week and yet we still waited 2 and half hour and counting to be seen, this is alittle ridiculous

I HAVE BEEN IN THE EMER ROOM WITH HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE ...ALSO THERE FOR THE FLU....AND BREAST CANCER.... THE TREATMENT COMPARED TO THE OTHER SIX HOSPITALS I WAS A PATIENT IN, IS AWESOME..(.IN THREE STATES.).... MY ROOM WAS CLEAN....AND AS I AM NOT A DEMANDING PATIENT, I WAS PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE.... IN THE EMER ROOM WE DID HAVE TO WAIT, BUT THEY WERE VERY BUSY AND I WAS PUT INTO AN EXAMINING ROOM AND WAS MADE COMFORTABLE.... SOME DAYS THE FOOD WAS FANTASTIC, OTHER DAYS NOT SO....BUT THAT HAPPENS EVERYWHERE....ALL IN ALL I WOULD GO BACK THERE AND HAVE FULL CONFIDIENCE WHAT EVER AILES ME WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF....THANKS MAURY

Had to go to ER recently for an emergency and I want to thank all the Doctors, NP's, Nurses and staff for the fantastic treatment they gave me. They were all very professional and did a wonderful job. Thank you all !!

Staff are very friendly and efficient. When my friend was here and she didn't eat all her food they asked what she would like for lunch instead. Even the doctors were very friendly and down to earth and were encouraging my friend in her rehabilitation.

Seems the service was slow, I had to get my own juice and then i had a family go and get me something to eat..I gave my order for dinner and mine never showed, I asked the nurse for my dinner and was told the cafiteria was closed??? It took the nurse 28 min to get me a blanket, I asked if the floor is busy and she said it wasnt, then asked why my blanket took so long she said she had to get a new patient settled and get thier dinner..hummm...sooo I asked for my dinner 1 hour ago and was told it was closed, how did the new patient get thiers then, sure enough, I saw a tray go by and the new paitent got thiers?? My family member went down to the patients room and saw them with dinner.. Go someplace else..my Dr. was great but the after care sucks!!!

Told my wife she needed breathing tests but would not give her any pricing until we received a bill for over $1,500. Affordable care act hard at work along with a bunch of money grubbing doctors. Currently being sued by them! Awesome customer service guys...

Mark White

Literally just pulled up to pay a bill that was for 2018 and just received it. 430 pm and the lady walks out and locks the door in front of me and walks off. All associates inside see me and continue to close the blinds and act like I’m non existent. Terrible customer service considering I was informed open until 5 pm. Attempted to call into the office in attempts to make them aware I’m trying to pay no one attempts to pick up the phone. Completely disrespectful.

My daughter went by ambulance to the ER from an auto accident. First she wasn't even seen by a dr but a nurse practitioner. We waited forever. And they didn't even stitch her up. I had to take her to Core walk in clinic the next day to have her eyebrow stitched up, that's also where she was diagnosed with a concussion. Unless I am bleeding to death or my heart has stopped, I wouldn't mess with Maury.

tailpipe05

I don't know where they find the ER DRs they have here but it seems like they hire from the bottom and do not care one bit. I suggest anyone who has a life threatening emergency AVOID this place like their life depends on it.

The best of the best. I was in from 10-15-15 to 10-19-15 in room 675 and had a great experience for a bad situation. The doctors, the nurses and the techs were awesome. Everyone was professional and very knowledgeable. The hospital is in great shape with new equipment everywhere. Everything was clean and well laid out. Very patient friendly. I would say the best hospital in middle Tennessee, and yes, even better than Vanderbilt. And to the staff at the Would Center, thank you, thank you, thank you, you are the best!

i was just discharged after 3 days on the 3rd floor. the nurses literally waited on me hand and foot. they where incredibly nice, especially Ms.Ashley. I couldnt have asked for better care.

B Little

Best hospital around,we had both of our children here and I was born here as well and they really care about you as a patient.

Bev Ridge

At first I was hesitant to take my mother to a regional hospital, but we were pleasantly surprised at the high level of care she received there. The nurses and aides were very attentive and supportive. The doctors were there each day, morning and night, to talk to us and their patient. Very clean facility and large private rooms. I would definitely go there myself and would recommend it to others.

Heath Allen

The nurses and staff were excellent. Doctor April Peal was the rudest person I have ever met. In the medical field a physician needs some sort of bedside manner, and she has none. She was cold and non-caring throughout the observation. Other website reviews say the same thing about her. Save your time see a different doctor. Do the research.

I definitely would not advise any one to stop at this Hospital. My Dr sent me to the ER to have x-rays and an exam because her office was closed. I am having a bad asthma attack. Been waiting here since 3 Pm and it is 6:21 PM by their clock. ... This Hospital is the sorryiest. Excuse of a Hospital I have ever encountered!!!! Take my advise if you are not dying you better move on down the road!!!! This is a joke! Move on if you want to live!

For a truck driver, this is a very bad place I had a delivery. I have a very bad experience. I came here. They said that I myself have to unload 39 pallets

Great hospital, fantastic, caring staff!

My son is a disabled veteran who was sent to Maury Regional Medical Center by the VA. After his treatment, this medical center has been shamelessly harassing and threatening to turn my hero son over to a collection agency for a payment dispute that they have with the VA. Maury Regional Medical center is shameless and should be exposed for the disrespect they show toward our combat veterans. They do not deserve I one star rating I have to choose to post this notice.

I can not say enough good things about the experience I had with my mother while she was under their care.We live a hour and half away from this hospital but was told she would receive good care here and she did! Amazing staff, very friendly and accommodating! I would recommend this hospital to anyone needing care.

Best care I have ever received, including the times I was an inpatient at a hospital I worked at! My day shift nurse on third floor medical, Deanna, was especially good. I only had one regular meal while there but the food was also excellent--on a holiday weekend, no less!

Final update dad died 48 hours after leaving this hospital,if they would have stabilized him he may still be here today!!!I dispise maury REGIONAL HOSPITAL!!!!!Update..3-5-18 finally got dad to the VA in Nashville today to find out he has a broken hip and Maury regional said there was nothing wrong with him on sat.3-3-2018.This place sent him home with badly fractured hip!!! Im furious!!!..My dad is in bad shape, elderly has taken some falls and he is cut, scratched, cracked and broken bones all over. They were called due to he cant walk on his own without help. They check him over a little send him back home with no way to get around,so we are right back where we was when the ambulance picked him up!!! Worse emergency department ive ever seen

They sent you a bill the same month and even before you respond you are on collection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not willing to work with people that are sick and barely making it to pay bills i will never ever ever go there and i will tell everyone i know to make a trip to Nashville instead.

I’ve been sat in the ER with my best friend for about 5 hours. The nurse she had left when her shift was over at 8. WORST HOSPITAL EVER!!! DO NOT COME HERE!!! My best friend went to get up to get something to eat and got yelled at by a damn nurse. Was told very rudely to go back to her room and wait for her to come in. I suggest going to Tri-Star in Spring Hill. There’s a reason this place is called Murder Regional. You walk in and you never walk out.

I would say that after watching some of the nurses and techs on the Orthopedic floor give care to my grandmother who had just had a hip replacement that they could really use classes/training on compassion/empathy, or just being kind to the patient and families. The physical therapy department and surgeon were the only people that we had a good experience with. Most of the techs we encountered seemed to be in a rush, wouldn't answer questions, were rough when assisting her out of bed. You would assume that they were very busy but when I stepped into the hall, one that had been very rude to us was now sitting at the desk on her phone. When we called for pain medication and it had been 35 minutes we asked the tech if she happened to know if the nurse got our message and she replied "I don't know, I think she's busy, she's probably in another room." Whereas she could have easily said, hang on I will go find out for you and get you some help. It also took 45 minutes to receive anti nausea medicine after vomiting. I know nurses and staff are busy and if I thought that was the case I wouldn't be writing this review, but I honestly felt with their terrible attitudes that they may need to find a job where they are not directly giving patient care. Patients are there because of surgery, or being sick, etc, the last thing they need are rude caregivers. I would recommend in the future to family and friends if they need to be inpatient at a hospital to please travel further north for their care.

We travel from Fayetteville for our outpatient needs. Everyone is kind and caring. You are always greeted with a smile. If I could give a 10 I certainly would.
