WELL, I've had a new doctor every year and have not even seen or met the last two, I called today to make appt and said they didn't need to see me. 100% service disabled veteran gets Naproxen and Yoga for pain. I have to pay for Private Insurance in order to get treatment for pain while the VA spends $24-MILLION to research why disabled veterans are in pain.

I have been treated with such honor and respect at this facility by all the staff. love my V.A. thank you for serving us.

The hospital needs a bit of updating to make it more efficient. There is way too much confusion for veterans and wait times are absolutely awful. Not to mention waiting a month for a basic check-up appointment. The staff is nice (for the most part).

I too would give the vision center, did not get passed the receptionist, a 0 if I had this option. I called the vision center with a question about payment for vision services that could not be received from the vision office in Knoxville, TN. My dad has macular degeneration which requires treatment from a retina specialist. The VA has been paying for this treatment but now the retina specialist has made a referral to a low vision specialist. My phone call was just to ask if the VA would also pay for this service and what needed to be done to get this initiated. The receptionist took the needed info and then proceeded to tell me that my dad could not receive any of these services paid by the VA because he has not seen an optometrist from their office in 6 years. I then began to argue with this statement and the conversation then went from bad to worse and ended with me telling the receptionist that I was going to report him. The receptionist even had the gall to say that I was only reporting him because he was black????? How would I know that he was black from talking to him over the phone? After calling the VA in Johnson City, TN, I received the answer to my question from a friendly, caring and knowledgeable VA representative.

I love this clinic. My doctor, primary care is awesome! My prescriber, awesome! Thank you Dr. Khoury for being there for me when I needed help. Never turned me away. Never made me feel uncomfortable. Done above and beyond. My wife agrees.

If there was a 0 score I would select it. My dad went to this clinic today with severe pain in his side and back. He got there when the clinic opened at 7am and did not leave until 12pm. He was seen by a nurse that took his vitals and a urine sample. He was told to go sit back in the lobby. After waiting for over 2 hours he asked the receptionist what was going on and she said she would “email “ the nurse. At 12pm the nurse finally came out and told my dad she was sorry she told him to wait because the results would not be back for 2-3 days. This is exactly why certain individuals should not be in the medical field because they have NO compassion for people. As you can imagine as his daughter I am livid. I have called the office and the patient advocate agrees that the patient was not cared for correctly. The nurse that seen my dad was Mary Lue. I will be reporting this to the State Dept of Health Sevices.
