I had same experience as Ben. They claimed that insurance redacted payment when they did not. I had to contact my insurance company and get them to sort it all out. Hours of work to avoid paying double and/or being sued. Crooks or inept. Don't know which is worse.

Do not do business with these folks! They didn't submit my claim to insurance and sent me a letter of collections. Although I was in network, they charged me full price. I paid the full bill and they also received payment from my insurance. After many phone calls and 3 way calls from me along with my insurance provider, they still are stalling and won't refund my $990.00. Extremely poor customer service. They have kept me and my insurance provider on hold multiple times upwards of 22 and 30 minutes. I had a procedure at Dr. Pollack's office and I was very pleased with his office but not who they use for anesthesia. Beware!

I was never sent a bill from this company, then 3 months later I receive a call from some no-name company that claims I owe them hundreds of dollars in anesthesia bills from American Anesthesiology of TN. I called their office to verify this was the case, because I thought I was being scammed; I was transferred to the billing manager and promptly answered with a rude demeanor from Carolyn Baldwin. I was transferred to her phone and was told she was the billing manager, although her emails were sent to me with the signature of "Regional Trainer". Very demeaning, very unprofessional, and very unhelpful conversation. Thanks American Anesthesiology of TN.

The anesthesiologist, dr wells, told me the day of the surgery that he wanted to do something extra and he wanted my permission. I asked him how much it would cost and he said the insurance company would pay for everything. I consented to this extra service that he wanted to do. Then two and a half months later I get a bill for $320 and I have two weeks to pay it or I will be hit with a late fee. my insurance did not pay for everything like he said they would. When I call them they say there's nothing they can do about it. I've called blue Cross blue shield and they say the same thing. my payment was due July 5th. I paid in full with a credit card over the phone speaking to a representative on July 2nd.on July 10th I receive a phone call saying that I have not made a payment and that I will be charged late fees or it will be sent to collections. My credit card statement shows the amount posted on July 3rd. American anesthesiologist of Tennessee says they have no record of this and told me I must have paid the wrong person or paid a different pill at the hospital. After several phone calls and a big headache I finally got them to correct it. How do I go about billing them for my time?

1 star is pushing it for this company..I set up payment plan was told I would have to pay 3 dollar fee to set up..then had set amount each month.I got bill this month and not only did they charge the $3 fee but added another $13 "MAITENANCE FEE" PLUS will be charged $5 each time I pay..lmao almost sounds like cable company.. maintenance fee..the only company that charges me to pay my bill out of 10 bills I'm paying now.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE ..sounds like they are a bunch of fast talk in cons..TERRIBLE COMPANY

Was sent a bill but had NO details what it was regarding, no service date(s). I have Cigna Insurance which has been paying 100% of charges since my cancer surgery put me over the out-of-pocket expenses. I do not intend to pay a dime without details of what it concerns. And charges are from a different hospital anyway. They are inept and shady as hell judging from their reviews.

Does not inform of potential charges, which are outrageous. It's likely you won't have a choice in providers as they will be packaged with the hospital or doctor, but these guys are unethical to put it kindly. The charges for a pretty basic 15 minute procedure were eye-watering.


They sent me to collections even though the bill was paid by another organization. Do not use them if at all possible.

I paid my bill in full, but continue to be charged $5.00 every month. When I contacted the billing department for an explanation, they could give no reason for the charges but said they would continue each month.
