The drs are extremely rude, same with the nurses.

Tessa Reiter

Always got me into a room as soon as they could and helped me in any way that could have been done. Sanford will always be my #1 to go to because of the amazing service and wonderful help I've been given.

Kaylee Henning

I was able to get treated for my appendix bursting in an appropriate time.

Dawson Elmore

Made me wait 2 and a half hours to receive insulin for my hyperglycemia. Told me everything I've done for the last 11 years was wrong. Was not polite in any way.

Clarrissa Kutil

Every time that I come here I am treated with respect and am gotten in quickly. I would never go anywhere else.

I would not recommend this ER even if someone was dying!! We've been here twice in the past month, and Everytime they just give you a bag of saline solution and throw you out the door!! No real diagnosis because they 'cant'. Absolute joke!! Don't even get me started if you lack insurance!!! Makes me want to abandon Sanford all together!!!!

I have never waited in an emergency room this long ever. We have been here since 330 and it’s now 3 hours later and still have not been seen. And it was our only option since he hit his head and the clinics wouldn’t take him due to them saying he needs a cat scan and now we sit here for this damn long it’s ridiculous. Worse service ever!!!!!!!!

Jonathon Pralguske

Mistreated and in my diagnosis everything I said was opposite

At first when you come in and it is your first time ever coming they treat you well and get you situated quickly. However when you have a chronic diagnosis which brings you in frequently they will stop taking you seriously. My mom has several conditions that unfortunately bring her in often and has been treated as if she’s a narcotics addict. She’s allergic to most narcotic pain medication and yet at one point they managed to flag her file as someone who was seeking pain meds. She did manage to fix that flag but that is not an excuse to make it harder for someone with chronic pain and fibromyalgia to receive care. Recently she came in showing mild stroke like symptoms, slurred speech, weakness, struggling to think, see, and walk. She had to wait about an hour before they got her to a room. This may seem normal however I myself when I had bloody vomit and dehydration because of how much I had been puking had to wait about 3-4 hours to get my vitals done and another hour to get into a room even though the lobby was mostly empty. Once in a room it doesn’t get any better, the majority of doctors will either ignore what you say, not show up for hours, or just run tests for unrelated issues. Thankfully there are rare occasions where you do get a doctor who cares. Additionally if you have ever had an anxiety disorder, even if it’s never been a problem for decades you can be assured that nothing will be done to help you, because your problems are always anxiety when you come here even when you have pain that makes it impossible to move it’s definitely just anxiety. There is only one reason we continue to come, and that is the fact that The other doctors she sees are either Sanford or independent and work better with Sanford. The only saving grace of the emergency department itself is that the nursing staff themselves are actually very thorough compared to the doctors when you get into a room. Overall I cannot recommend the emergency department for anyone with severe chronic conditions, and really cannot recommend it at all.
