This place is amazing. Every nurse I saw was great. They truly care about their patients and do all they can to make you feel comfortable. It's not even like you are at a surgical hospital. They make sure you are relaxed as possible before and after surgery. Then they make sure family or friends waiting are comfortable as well. Great place to have your surgery done.

Had surgery in Tursday. Doctor Dykstra is an amazing doctor. They treated me so good. It had an atmosphere of a cozy hospital. My fiance was treated amazing. The food after surgery was a turkey sandwich that is top shelf. I am very impressed. A plus service

I don't have words for how spectacular this place is. Had hip surgery for labral tear, bone spur, calcification on labrum. Surgery at 7, home by 1pm. Everyone was super friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient, especially Michelle, my nurse who felt like my sister after an hour. Pain management was stellar and I felt like I was in superb hands. I have travelled the world and been to a lot of places for medical care, including surgery. Johns Hopkins was the best hospital I had ever been to. Until now. A rose and chocolates was the icing on the cake (the made-from-scratch carrot cake with caramel sauce...amazing.) and they answered every question I had about post-op care before I asked it. Dr. Guiseffi was my surgeon and I just got home, so I can't vouch for long-term results, but he exceeded my expectations. I am floored by my experience here.

Best nurses, best physicians, and best complete staff! Everyone is attentive and caring. The Black Hills Surgical Hospital reminds me of being at home instead of thinking I'm actually in a surgical hospital. This is because of not only the decor or the state-of-the-art furnishings, but it is most importantly because of how the staff treats everyone staying as royalty! I will again and again recommend Black Hills Surgical Hospital to my family, friends, and acquaintances.

This is the best place to have any surgery done. Most professional and caring staff I have ever encountered. If you are an inpatient, the privet rooms are outstanding. They are better then most 5 star hotel rooms. There is even offer a free bed for someone to stay in the room with their loved one.

I stayed the night here when my sister had surgery and the staff was kind and attentive, they have multiple rooms with free snacks and drinks and the food here really is gourmet AND healthy-ish, my sister and I got unlimited food while we were her and the chairs and beds in our suite were amazing and they have AMAZING and EXPENSIVE books P.S. If you come, get the cheeseburger with fries and the pork chili with a unsweetened tea, it's delicious

Truth Or Consequences

What happened to Dr. Edward Picardi? who worked here as a surgeon and was charged with tax evasion in the tune of $1,150,919.90 with now oweing $3,698,566.25 with taxes and penalities. He went to jail for five years. They said he was a compassionate man and wrote off many of his bills to persons who could not pay and needed surgery that was life threatening and knew if they had it and could not pay- it would throw them into bankruptcy. What he did was not right but what this hospital does is not right either. To many people try to get healthcare services and cannot pay the amount charged and are trying to make ends meet in a world where everything is rising in price. Why wont you try to work with people instead of destroying their lives and putting them out on the street? The ones that are trying and not out doing drugs and drinking and not functional in society. Have some compassion.

My wife hard her hand done and I have my finger repaired from a accident In had and I can not say enough GREAT stuff about them. Everyone was super friendly and everything was spotless. Accommodations we top notch and we both felt right at home. If I ever have need of any more surgery I will no other place.

Son had foot surgery here. Everything was made for comfort. Best waiting room I’ve been in maybe ever. Pagers to keep you up to date on the process were a great idea. Post op sandwich was excellent as well. Recommended.
