HORRIBLE hospital. Charging my husband $13,000 for an ER visit just for them to tell him that he broke his arm and to go see an orthopedic surgeon.(not including x rays as that was another bill) Then adding a $1500 bill just for the ER dr. FOR WHAAAAAT!!!!????? I'm thinking about suing.

I could not believe the wait time I had. It took 6 hours just to see a doctor and when I did she treated me like a prescription drug user! My side was and is still hurting so bad. They gave me a shot, a bandaid and sent me out the door with no regard to my actual health concerns......Then they want me to pay them for a SERVICE that they did not even try to provide. I was warned that Springs was not a quality place and now I know for myself.

This is the worst experience I have had regarding my sons mental health in 6 years. There is so much I could add, where to even begin. This place is an absolute joke. Therapist Allison was absolutely clueless and had no compassion for my son or myself whatsoever. Allison called to basically tell me there was little to no hope of my son getting better, I cried nyself to sleep. Next day Allison the super therapist, calls again to tell me my son has not been taking his meds and I said well no wonder why he isnt getting better??? Why did you tell me there was little hope of him getting better? The main doctor is almost 80 years old and was lacking skills to care for the severe mentally ill. Today I have picked up my son with less than 24 hours notice, and we live 5 hrs away. I was not allowed to speak to my son because he had no phone privileges???? Are you kidding me? They released my son when he is still completely in a psychosis, even have paperwork that states it. When we arrived he was sitting at the ER with a damaged rotator cuff from being manhandled the day before. I had to find where he was and bring him back to the facility myself with his arm in a sling. Then Megan at the front desk asked for me to sign him out, and im like I just picked him up at er im not signing anything for you! This place shouldn't be allowed to treat animals let alone our loved ones. Please stay away from here. Do not subject anyone you love to this joke of a treatment center!!!! To the staff why dont you try treating our loived ones like you would for your own loved ones? How much different the treatment would be!!!!

Ridiculous wait time when there is hardly anyone here. 2 year old needs to be seen and people are going in after us, getting seen and then leaving. They are telling my husband there's no room available. BS.

I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Springs Memorial Hospital. I stayed at this hospital for a week and I was treated with kindness and concern throughout the entire week. The nursing staff is outstanding the nursing assistants are sweet and caring. The janitorial staff is on the ball and keeps everything nice and tidy and the food is actually pretty good. I want to convey a huge thanks to the staff Springs Memorial Hospital for making my stay as pleasant as it could be under the circumstances. If you read the rest of the reviews closely I think you'll find that almost all the bad experiences are in the emergency room. I have not been to the emergency room and so I can't speak for that, but it is unfair to blame the entire hospital for the actions of the emergency room.

I am a long time resident of this area and have visited this hospital a number of times but today was my best experience ever. Staff was friendly, efficient, and went well beyond there duties to help us. The facilities also are very nice and clean. Kudos to everyone who help us.

Been here before and didn't like the care I got. Went at 1:30 am on Monday morning for arm infection, couldn't wait for Dr. office to open. Wait was 30 minutes, called back, in 10 minutes I had blood work, x-rays, and seen the Dr. One that spoke English and listened and understood what I was saying. Had 2 IV antibiotics pain meds. and waited an hour and a half for that to run in. I asked for coffee and they brought it. They were GREAT, shout out for Dr. Omara and RN Tammy.

My son was seen for in the emergency room and should have been held for 48 to 72hrs. And should have been seen by a doctor and a psychiatrist. He is in a psychosis! They him go! If kills somebody they are responsible!

I just came home yesterday after spending one week here. I could not have asked for more attentive and compassionate care from every person I encountered. Even when busy the nurses never made me feel like a burden. These individuals definitely went above and beyond in caring for my needs.

This is worst hospital ever! You would think that it would eventually get better over the years but it doesn't. Today, I experienced nurses falsify patients charts. When my brother told her his chest pain was a 5 and his leg a 20....she put 0 on the paperwork and on the board in his room! Isn't this illegal? Why ask if you gonna put something different? And another nurse came in and said you are being discharged. My brother said Heart Dr. Said I was going to stay and she replied he didn't have any say so that the house Dr. makes the decision and then asked.....you dont have any insurance do you? This is the real reason they are sending him home! He has to come back for heart Cath. They put a nitro patch on him and then came in with discharge papers. This place is a joke!

Worse hospital I've ever been too. They denied me treatment because I had my children with me and didn't have anyone to keep them. I would have been better off going to pineville because they treat you like your life matters there. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. THEY WILL LET YOU DIE.

Will never go here again. The last time I was at this hospital, my insurance company was billed for tests that were never ran. The "doctor" was in the room for less than a minute, said I had the flu, never checked anything on my person. Didn't ask if i was allergic to anything or what medications I was on. Don't even deserve one star.

I had to ask for everything. Nobody never gave anything until u had to fuss for it. I thought sence someone else bought it, I thought it was going to be different. The only reason i went here is because it was life and death. Dont expect me to use this one again.

I delivered baby #3 at Springs. Our first two girls were born at another hospital in NC, and being new to Lancaster, we were a little leery of delivering at a small hospital. We were SO impressed with the quality of care and the staff! Dr Tiedt was AMAZING and calm, even with some small complications during delivery. The nurses, both for me and the baby were so attentive. Even after discharge I was able to call the nursery nurse with some questions (it was a holiday weekend and the pediatrician was closed) and she was so patient and helpful!

I have never felt so disgusted with the way I have been treated until my 2nd awful experience here... I went in because I have low iron and I got dizzy and light-headed while at work and my nose started gushing blood... From the 1st person I spoke to, until the last i was mistreated and left feeling stupid... Doctor K was very rude just plain disrespectful, and accused me of being on something... Unacceptable treatment from nurses and doctors... I will never understand why people who arent friendly, caring, or compassionate go into the medical field.

I was in the hospital for 2 days and had a heart Cath done and the I get a bill for 78,315.29. Then I get another bill for 88,771.64, this hospital is a ripoff. I will never go back to hospital ever again. Try to find out now how I get two bill with two different Balances on them.

Horrible establishment, half of the staff doesn’t truly understand the title they carry, clueless on the meaning behind it. To work in a hospital environment and pick and choose when to care for your patients is beyond disbelief. Doctors come and go out the rooms without addressing the problem. It’s more so about climbing up the ladder on how much they can possibly bill the patient with little to no work possible. Through out the hospital staff each person has a role to carry, a job to fulfill and patients in their hands with their health, either do the job you signed up for, or hand over your licenses.

If I could give this place a half of a 1 I would. This place is worse now than it was when it was springs. I've been sitting here since a little after 1 pm today. It's now 4:19pm and I'm still sitting here they just now ordered xrays and a pregnancy test even though I told them there was no way. I was told that it wasnt their problem I had been here as long as I had. The nurses are rude and they truly don't care about you at this place. Worst hospital ever

I went in ER an checked in after 45mins they call me up to the desk to get my vitals they lady before me was bleeding the chair was never sanitized from her or anyone else that had so in it to get their vitals so I grabbed some sanitizing wipes an sanitized the chair my self,,sit there for 2hrs still haven't seen anyone,there was a man coughing an throwing up in the waiting room they should of took him in to a room by his self but they didn't just left him in the waiting room with all the others waiting to spread his germs,,I had hit my head from falling an was having excruciating headaches but they didn't care...LAST TIME I GO TO MUSU IN LANCASTER IT WAS BETTER WHEN IT WAS SPRINGS MEMORIAL...

Almost as bad as McLeod. But still just a bunch of people who really don't care if you live or die and they took an oath. But they don't give a f apparently. Hold for 10min then hung up in my face. Lancaster deserves no stars, possibly even a negative rating! They gave my fiance the wrong medicine causing him to have a seizure. Due to this it caused a series of events that caused him to get flown to Florence. Both are MUSC hospitals and even Florence said that in the system they were not suppose to give him the meds that Lancaster did due to what he was already on. Lancaster knew that caused it, nurses even made comments that they gave him the wrong kind........But Lancaster is not admitting their fault. I would avoid this place entirely. Im sure there are great employees there but I have yet to encounter any.

Would never waist my time and money here. Would rather drive to rock hill or Charlotte. My wife is pregnant and I am new to town. My OBGYN said she and other Gynecologist is leaving because of administrative issues. She I also said there is no good pediatrician to take care of small babies. Pediatrician does not come for deliveries on time and all babies invariably are transferred to Columbia.

Right breast cancer survivor appointment for 7th mammogram....found something in left breast and they ultrasounded the right breast (wrong one). Told me everything was fine. Never seen radiologist or a doctor... ultrasound tech told me everything was fine??? Not how it's supposed to be done!! Thank God my cancer doctor in Charlotte re-reviewed mammogram and ultrasound. Going for new ultrasound for left breast with Charlotte doctor and never have to deal with this hospital again for mammograms.

I love this hospital and I personally feel people who complain are typically the ones with little to no real issues. My ex husband has been in this hospital on several occasions for diabetes and high blood pressure and he is in and with a doctor within an hour. I personally, gave birth to my daughter here and the L&D ward was incredible. Everyone was so incredibly nice and took great care of us. Even my ex who went into anaphylactic shock the night after I had our daughter. My daughter herself has been here for an allergic reaction to ants and was seen promptly. If your condition is not serious, you do not get seen first. Its not a first come, first serve basis, its about who needs help more than the other. You wouldn't pass over someone with a gun shot wound for someone with a common cold right? Springs is great. Always has been.

Worst In the world!!!! Sit here all night, couldn't keep a Dr or Nurse in the room. When I went to go look for them they were all sitting at the desk eatting cup cakes!!!!! Not a worry in the world. Their attitudes were awful!!! This place needs HELP!!!!!

The facility is nice and ER staff are also very nice but ER Dr. C. Evans has the absolute worst bedside manor of any physician I've ever seen. He almost had a MRI performed (after I had already told him I had a fractured eye socket tied together as a teenager). I was later (by another hospital) told I would have most likely been blinded had they gone through with the procedure. I'm sure glad I had the ability to remember that and question him on it then turn it down. It was bad enough going in with Stroke symptoms and waiting 6 hours only to have 2 minutes face time with a physician that had no compassion at all for the human involved. It was obvious his passion was money. Its too bad the lowest rating is a 1 star. I'd give a "0" if it were possible.

Went there today. After I slipped and fell down my stairs at home. I thought I was ok, until I was in a lot of pain and my ankle was swollen so big that I couldn't walk. Then I couldn't see my doctor, which lead me to the emergency room. I was actually discharged without a diagnosis. When I asked the discharge nurse, she seemed to be confused. About 5 minutes after she walked out the room the nurse practitioner that saw me first, came in to tell me it wasn't broke. As fast as he appeared, he disappeared. Another nurse walked in to tell me that she forgot I was there and that was the reason my care was ignored. They forgot! I don't understand how they can just forget. Luckily for me, I was not life threatening. But I can't help to wonder how many times have they forgotten about somebody that was in a life threatening condition. I would not recommend Springs Memorial Hospital to anybody.

So after reading reviews and hearing others stories of how horrible this hospital was I avoided it at all costs. I moved here from the west coast in an area with MANY hospital choices. But seeing as how this was the only one near by I did end up having to go here... I brought my fiancé one night at 2am and there was no wait. He was treated pretty quickly though the doctor didn't say two words to him... But I just had to go for myself yesterday. I went mid day mid week. So I knew it would be busy. Waiting room was packed but I was sent back for EKG, blood and urine while I waited which was nice so all the results were ready by the time I was led to the room. Was given a room within an hour. Saw doctor about an hour or so after that. Dr. David Winn. He was amazing. Sat down and talked to me in depth. Made sure I understood what he was talking about. And made me aware of his diagnosis and how we would go forward. Options I had that he didn't recommend at the time... really laid it all out for me. Really was a great experience. The ER is never fun. But the nurses were very kind. The techs.. and especially the doctor. Was very happy with the care I received. It did take an insane amount of time after that to get my prescriptions and leave, but I know how ERs work and it wasn't all that bad...definitely how it is when they are busy. Overall was pleased and now I'm not so hesitant to go if need be in the future.

Spent almost 3 hours here for a simple emergency room visit... I was seen quickly, but then had to wait for almost 2 hours to be discharged. I was quickly getting impatient so I walked to the discharge desk who sent me to the nurses station to ask about discharge papers. I explained to her that I've been here for over 2 hours and she told me that that was good for the emergency room and most people spend much more time than that... How ridiculous!!!

In January of 2017, my elderly father in law was brought in for a broken hip. He wanted to have surgery to repair it. His cardiologist approved the surgery but the anesthesiologist refused. So we asked for him to be transferred to CMC in Charlotte. He was admitted to springs memorial on a Wednesday and was not transferred to CMC until late Saturday night when we threatened a lawsuit. The weekend staff claimed there was no paperwork pending for his transfer from the weekday staff. He On Sunday morning he had the surgery at CMC, and made it through with no heart issues. However, during recovery, a blood clot that had developed from him laying on a broken hip for 4 days ran to his brain and caused a massive stroke. He never woke up. We should have sued for malpractice, but because he was 96 we were told no court would take our case seriously. However, the surgeon at CMC told us that he would have probably been fine if he had been operated on within 24 hours of the break. So we feel springs memorial prolonged his time there to get more $$ out of Medicare and his supplement, and essentially their greed resulted in his death. We Will Never Go To Springs Memorial Ever Again!!!

Gave me medication I can't take cause I have had a heart attack and bleeding ulcers.. So here I am laying at home in tears cause of facility that don't know what there do..

The experience my grandma had here was just plain awful... the nurses on the 6th floor were extremely unprofessional and had no sense of urgency whatsoever. My grandother paged them to come to the room and they replied with ok and then immediately paged back and asked, "well what do u need?" She needed assistance gettin off the toilet bc she had been on it for hours and no one even checked on her. I had to ask them to feed her bc it was gettin late and she wasn't even given a menu. I was callin from Columbia to check on my grandma and asked a nurse why she was bein released and was concerned that they were sendin her home without any instructions on how to use her oxygen tank and her reply was. "We'll maybe you or another family member should be there to help her" trust and believe that I drove immediately to her to make sure that home care was there to help her out. I can't help that I live 2 hrs away, but it's a shame that i have to worry ab her goin back to this hospital if there's an emergency. I wouldn't recommend this hospital to my worst enemy.

I just left the emergency room--and I have to say I was apprehensive. I have lived in Lancaster most of my life and knew the previous reputation. I have to say I was wrong!! From the first person to the last, I could not have asked for better treatment!! And Dr. Ansari is truly an asset to your staff. He explained my diagnosis, what was going to happen, my treatment and kept checking with me to see if I was feeling better. I am sorry I cannot remember everyone's name, but just know you were all great!!

9 days ago my wife gave birth to our son. Her dr was top notch ( dr teidt) all of the staff was top notch..the second day we were there they did tests on our boy and said he had a stomach lining and intestinal tract that hadn't formed correctly. They were honest and told us that they couldn't handle this problem with him..I thank the Lord for Mrs Michael Anne and the rest of their staff. He was rushed within 2 hrs to Baptist hospital NICU where now he's gaining weight near fully recovered and doing well! If it wasn't for the staff here and at Baptist hospital NICU we probably wouldn't have our son now.

I took my wife to the E.R,the doctor not only misdiagnosed her and gave the wrong medicine,but billed her separately from the hospital.And as my insurance company was taking care of the matter,his group turns it over to collections.

Terrible! My husband had his gallbladder removed on a Wednesday back in hospital 4hrs later -over night this team and back again on Sunday bc they think bile maybe leaking. But no worries the Dr will see him sometime tomorrow! I've been killing ladybugs all day and picking them out of his hair! They gave him his colesterol meds but not his meds for BP ( that was 159/98) nurse's some seem nice but alot just seem dumb. On the elevator to his room from ER a nurse or whatever told me.."that happened.to my friend and she almost lost her pancreas " like why would you tell.me that? Never ever go here! Drive to Charlotte!

The PA was great... however the nurses are horrible in the ER. Listened to them complain for 2 hours about their job. If you dont like your job I am sure there are more places hiring. Acted like they were on break surely not working.
