Hands down was THE best visit to an urgent care I've ever had, the staff was friendly, quick, and helpful. Even the staff interaction was happy and that put everyone within the urgent care at ease. Our visit was spot on from every aspect down to making sure our pharmacy had the correct scripts when we left. I will not go to a different urgent care in the area ever again.

I called MUSC GI and requested my daughter be seen by a GI doctor due to ongoing issues. I was given an appointment date/time/location at what turned out to be the MUSC Speciality Care location in Summerville. On arrival I noted this looked like an urgent care building so I asked the front desk if I was in the correct location as I was there to see GI w/MUSC. I was told at this location they see GI patients until 3pm and after 3pm they see urgent care patients. Not being from this area, I figured this was something done in Charleston. I commented to the front desk that this was strange. Well, I received a bill from this location for $120ish which I paid. I next received a bill for almost $500.00 for this same date/visit. Mind you my daughter saw a NP and she looked at her then said she would need an EGD/Colonscopy to find out what is going on. Nothing else was done at this visit. I called and complained many times about the $500 bill. Finally I was told that because we were scheduled at this remote location we were charged a speciality care visit along with the NP fee. Over $600.00 for one visit to see a NP. Mind you we have since been seen several times AT MUSC and we have seen the GI specialist Doctor that is over the GI Department for her care and his visit is a level 5 visit (same as they coded the previous visit for the NP) and the DOCTOR visit rate is $285.00. Beware of the location you are scheduled at as I took all precautions and asked questions and they still pulled this on me.

Amazing staff & very caring personalities. You go in being very concerned about your child & come out feeling relieved and at peace. The doctor who we seen she was very helpful & so sweet to our children she knew how to handle everything that needed to be checked on our daughter. Dr. Anderson and nurse Elizabeth were absolutely amazing! I was in and out within an hr. Dr. Anderson took her time and listened to my concerns about my 1 yr old and gave her the proper and fast treatment. She sat with me and explained directions and went over concerns. So glad I took my 1 yr here.

I wish I could rate as zero stars or negative 1. The evening receptionist is very rude and unprofessional. I have had to stand at the counter and be ignored for minutes before being assisted (no other patients were even in the lobby)!!!!They basically charge you a copay and "send you on your way" meanwhile your child has the same symptoms weeks and months later only to have gotten worse. Get everything in writing because a verbal comment will be presented then denied the next second. Take your child to the ER or pediatrician!

We were seen quickly, but my son's blocked salivary gland was completely misdiagnosed as an infection without any bloodwork being done. Also, I was charged twice by the clinic, once for the doctor and once for the facility which means my $20 co-pay suddenly became a $70 visit. I will be sure never to return for after hours care.

Will always be my favorite place to take my daughter too! I have not found one bad worker there every time I was to take her. Even the front desk were always sweet and friendly when they greeted and got you checked in. Then the nurses, doctors are all the best! They help make sure that the focus is not only treating your child but entertaining the lil one during their care as it made for a easier trip!! Thank you guys for being a place to trust and never disappoint!

Got there at 9:55, 5 min before close. My 10 mo old had a fever of 104.5 and as a first time mom I was terrified. They calmed my nerves, did not rush us and did a few things to figure out what was wrong. We were there 30 min after closing & they didn’t mind a bit. Amazing service, so friendly and caring! Jametras is unprofessional and dismissive. In an environment where children are the main concern, this individual takes no care in reflecting sincerity nor compassion when assisting those who are in her presence. I was yelled at, spoken over and insulted the whole time I was there signing in to have my daughter seen by a doctor. She must not know, but she is a reflection of MUSC and all what this establishment stands for. How can you continue to have this individual work in a position where patients are supposed to be her priority? What a horrible experience my family and I had to endure and not only was it upsetting for myself, but my children as well. The entire lobby heard our conversation, or lack thereof, because she was practically screaming at me. How do you 'Strive for a five' with that kind of attitude? I have seen other doctors within the MUSC network and because of this I will no longer consider nor recommend MUSC as place to visit for any health care needs. Please make a positive change within your registration department, for anyone to feel like they don't matter when they are in your establishment is just horrible.

The receptionist Jamie, is not very pleasant. She talks through you, not to you. She doesn't listen when you talk to her and try to explain situations to her. If it wasn't for the fact I refuse to drive downtown, I wouldn't bring my son back to this specialty clinic solely because of her!!!!

Very thankful for this place! It's been a great option for those ear infections that occur at the most inconvenient times like nights, weekends or holidays. Very friendly and helpful staff! Very little wait time.

Excellent specialists for infants toddler or child. They really know their stuff an don't feed you a bunch of b.s. you want to here or unreliable information. I recommend every one take your sick child here instead of a e.r. or hospital that dosent have a real deal pediatrician on staff. They don't do primary doctor appointments or visits they are strictly a emergency pediatrician.

We can't thank their staff enough for their kindness in getting us in, seen, and out in less than 30 minutes . We came in super late, out of town ( out of state for that matter ) and they went right to work helping our sick baby. The receptionist Tyla & NP Jennifer were wonderful (as were the other staff who helped in between). I highly recommend for an after hour clinic with sick children!

I don't know if they have a full new staff at the Ladson Road location but I have been taken my kids to MUSC after hours for years. I will not be bring my kids back to this location or any location for that matter. The whole staff was rude except for the x-ray technician, they had no compassion what so ever. I had to bring my sick son (pneumonia) 3 times before they gave him the right medication. This week I had to bring my very sick daughter that was also diagnosed with pneumonia as well 3 times and Dr. McKenzie saw her the last 2 times . She talked to me and my husband with no respect, talked down to us. My daughter had a high fever for 9 DAYS and she acted like that was not concerning. She even told us that she gave us a fee consult with a pulmonologist because she had to call them on the phone and send the chest x-ray to the pulmonologist for them to review and tell her how to treat my daughter! I am very disgusted on the way they handled my son and daughters medical care. I ended up going with my gut instincts and took her for a second opinion and they had to give my child a round of steroid and 2 more antibiotics because the pneumonia was so bad. It is so sad that I did not trust the doctor at MUSC and had to carry my sick child to another doctor to get a second opinion. My daughter is fever free and doing great now!
